I really like it when feature-rich games such as Eternity Warriors 2 have tutorials, especially because there are many casual mobile gamers that can get confused easily. After the tutorial ends, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward, but still very entertaining to play nonetheless. The graphics and soundtracks are pretty decent, especially considering that Eternity Warriors 2 is a mobile game.

What I really like about Eternity Warriors 2 is the fact that there are different game modes, which you can all play for free. Having more than one game mode makes players become less prone to get bored by the gameplay. Another very nice aspect about Eternity Warriors 2 is that you can play against your friends and other players around the world. This adds a challenge to the game, which I personally really enjoy.

One of the first negative aspects I noticed about Eternity Warriors 2, is the fact that the game has a lot of advertisements implemented in it. These advertisements come in the form of pop-ups and show up exactly around the times when you need to tap on your screen to continue. This makes Eternity Warriors 2 feel like a cheap cash grab, because the developers try to trick people into tapping on the advertisements on accident.

The worst part about all of this, is the fact that your game will minimalize and your browser will start up, if you accidently tap on an advertisement. I totally understand it when developers implement advertisements into their free-to-play games, because they need to make money too somehow. However, they should always pay attention to making the advertisements as less annoying and obstructive as possible.

The second negative aspect about Eternity Warriors 2 is the fact that a lot of items in the in-game shop are not purchasable with the basic currency of the game. Many items are only purchasable with glu credits, which is the premium currency and almost impossible to obtain for free. You can get free glu credits by watching advertisement videos or completing offers on Tapjoy, but the problem is, that those offers usually don’t pay you anything because the system doesn’t work properly.

There has always been a problem with programs such as Tapjoy, who promise you glu credits for completing offers for them, which results in you not getting your glu credits at all. You can email Tapjoy but it is always a hassle and they usually do not resolve your problems. The developers of Eternity Warriors 2 should look into implementing different ways so that players can earn glu credits a bit easier.

Eternity Warriors 2 Ratings

Artwork: I give Eternity Warriors 2 an 8/10 for its artwork. As I have mentioned before, the graphics of Eternity Warriors 2 are pretty decent. It reminds me of games such as Devil May Cry, even though Eternity Warriors 2 is not a shooter game. I like the fact that the developers have chosen a certain theme and designed everything around that theme to keep one straight line. There are many animations at the main menu and during the gameplays, which are very nice because they make the game feel more alive. In my opinion, the developers did a very good job combining both the graphics and the animations together, making a really great looking game.

Music & SFX: I give Eternity Warriors 2 a 7/10 for its music and SFX. It is really nice to hear that Eternity Warriors 2 has more than one soundtrack implemented into it. There is a different soundtrack at the main menu and different soundtracks during gameplay, which adds a lot of excitement to the gameplay. Eternity Warriors 2 also has a lot of sound effects, from main menu buttons to in-game hacking and slashing, all of which fit very well with the games’ soundtracks. Even though I believe that the developers did a good job with the music and SFX, I feel like the quality of all of these could have been a bit better. The music and SFX are easy on the ears but the low quality might distract players from the gameplay.

Story & Originality: I give Eternity Warriors 2 a 7/10 for its story and originality. There are many hack-and-slash games out on the app stores, all of which have the same kind of game mechanics as Eternity Warriors 2. This means that the gameplay and the game concept is not that original at all, but the different game modes and many features make up for this. At the beginning of the gameplay, there is a cut scene/video which shows you the backstory of the game and is very nice in my opinion. I wish the gameplay didn’t look or feel like all the other hack-and-slash games out there. I believe that developers should always create their own game concepts and come up with their own ideas, show everyone that they are creative and different.

General Gameplay: I give Eternity Warriors 2 an 8/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in Eternity Warriors 2 starts off with a cut scene/video, showing you the story behind the game. There are a tutorial at the beginning of the gameplay, showing you the ropes of the game and teaches you how to achieve your goal. After the tutorial ends, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward, but I like the fact that there are many game modes, features and items to explore. The controls are very responsive and smooth and the user interface is crisp and clear.

Addictiveness: I give Eternity Warriors 2 a 7/10 for addictiveness. I am not a big fan of hack-and-slash games but I could imagine that Eternity Warriors 2 is a very addictive game for people who enjoy playing this type of games. Fortunately, the developers of Eternity Warriors 2 did not implement any play time restrictions or limitations, which means that players can play this game whenever they want, however long they want. There are a lot of features implemented into Eternity Warriors 2 and a lot of items you can purchase in the in-game shop, which adds to the addictiveness of the game. Even though the hack-and-slash genre is not for me, I must admit that the gameplay has positive aspects that can makes it pretty addictive.

All things considered, I give Eternity Warriors 2 a 7/10.
