Rule the Kingdom is an Arcade game created by Game Insight a company that won “Best mobile publisher in 2012” and developed other successful games such as The Tribez or Paradise Island. Rule the Kingdom has a rating of 4 out of 5 on Google Play and 4 and a half stars on Apple’s App Store. The game requires an Android version of at least 2.3.3 or iOS 4.3 for Apple devices and has been downloaded for about 3 million times.
In Rule the Kingdom you take the role of a royalty that has forgotten who he is but wants to save his village and rule his devoted people. The first impression of the game is that Rule the Kingdom is a base builder game with some RPG elements but you will be pleasantly surprised.
There are a few different types of resources in Rule the Kingdom. Besides theresources that are used for different building upgrades and the training of your units in the game there is a currency called Gold. With Gold you can buy items from the shop and extend your territory. You can buy Gold with real money – $1.99 for 3,000 Gold up to $99.99 for 200,000 Gold. There is also a premium resource called Crystals. With Crystals you can buy premium items, you can speed-up the building construction time and train instantly units. Crystals can hardly be obtained in-game so it must be bought with real money. The price for it varies depending on the amount you buy – $1.49 in exchange of 15 up to $99.99 for 1000 Crystals.
The game does not require any sign-up whatsoever but if you don’t link your Facebook account with it, a pop-up will appear from 10 to 10 minutes that kindly asks you to do so. There are also a lot of annoying ads in the game.
If you have been playing the action RPG adventure Rule the Kingdom, then you have probably figured out how important gold and crystals is to get through the game and get the upgrades you need. If you are like most people, you probably cannot afford to make these purchases in the app store, because that ends up costing you a lot of real money. Due to the popularity of this game, we here at AppGameCheats have decided to add a Rule the Kingdom hack tool, which gives you all of these items for free.
If you look at the picture shown below, you will see that the Rule the Kingdom hack tool is very simple to use. Just enter the amounts of gold and crystals that you would like to have in your game right there in the options menu.
The first thing you need to do is download our free Rule the Kingdom hack tool, which takes less than 30 seconds. You then need to wait an additional 30 seconds while the hack tool automatically installs. After this, select either iOS or Android depending on the device you are using. You can then enter the amounts of gold and crystals that you want to add to your gaming account.
Finally, tap “Start” to begin the Rule the Kingdom hack tool, which should take under 30 seconds to complete. It is important to note that the times depend on your internet connection and device. Once that has finished, open up the game on your device, and the items will be sitting in your account ready to use.
Don’t forget to assign a worker for building under construction because if your queue is full they will not start build them.
Don’t worry about resources on the ground. If you don’t tap of them, after a while, the village goblin will pick them up for you and leave them at your storage. And he is not stealing anything like I was sure he’ll do.
In adventure mode, when there are no enemies nearby, use the running option. It will save you time.
Use the orbs wisely. Don’t use the same green orbs just because they give you defensive bonus. The red orbs are very good especially when you want your attacks to hurt more.
Don’t spend your Magic Spells on random enemies. Use them only in Boss Fights because in Rule the Kingdom, boss opponents are very hard to defeat.
Keep an eye to your hero’s health. If it drops below 1, he will automatically return to your Kingdom’s grounds and you will not be able to use him until his health comes back.
If your teammates die during adventure mode, you can summon them instantly for one time. After that they will cost Gems to be re-summoned.
When you have quests that take time (for example burying a cave), there are usually other objects that require your attention. You don’t have to stay near the cave to be buried, go and explore the surroundings.
Start the quests from your village before you do other quests. Most of them will require building, farming or collecting resources in village and you can use that time and do the other ones.
Search all the ruins and rubbles that can be searched. They are full with coins and orbs but if you are lucky you can find more valuable items.
When I heard about the Rule the Kingdom I was intrigued because the first time you see the game’s description you will certainly say “Great. Another building simulator than wants to be as popular as Clash of Clans” but you will soon realize that the game is nothing like that and it is really an arcade game. I always liked the idea of games that are split in two halves – one being the base building and collecting while the other half is about going on adventure with your hero and his army and do interesting stuff. Rule the Kingdom is one of those games.
What I like about Rule the Kingdom is that you don’t get bored easily with it. The fact that the game focuses on your character development rather than on your entire village is something fresh in games nowadays so I must applause the developers. I like that you can equip him with different items and that it has his own particular skills and powers. I also like that the game has more than two classic types of resources and that you can’t build stuff only with Gold and some weird magic resource and you need things like wood, stones and food. Another thing that I personally liked about Rule the Kingdom is the possibility of Rotate your buildings – I know that it is easy to implement but the majority of games seem to omit this aspect.
There are some issues with the game too. First of all, I think that the developers should have worked more on the gameplay because it is not the best (I will explain more on the General Gameplay section). Secondly, Rule the Kingdom is full of annoying ads that will disrupt your game randomly. This aggressive ad campaign hurts the game’s playability and I really dislike it. They should have taught of a more elegant system to advertise in-game. Finally, I don’t like the way troops train – you have single units that occupy an entire slot army and that can’t be trained continuously because of a cooldown. This idea limits the possibility of expansion but I think it is way too much.
Overall, Rule the Kingdom is a game that will offer all users a nice experience and I will recommend it happily to anyone who asks about it.
Artwork: I give Rule the Kingdom 8 out of 10 for its artwork. This game does not focus on graphics and latest animations but it looks good nevertheless. The theme is medieval with a lot of fantasy aspects so everything is colorful and shiny. The buildings have a nice realistic design and the environment is not static so it looks great. The units are nice and neat-looking and the game does not feel rusty in any way. On the other hand, I think that the developers should have worked more on the fog of war aspect because it feels unnatural and it is not on the same page with the rest of the game’s artwork. Other than that, the way your units are moving is looking very funny but I believe that it is on purpose (it suits with the mumbles they say).
Music & SFX: The game gets 8 out of 10 at this segment. There is more than one background song in the game and I really appreciate that. The music is suited to the game’s theme and it feels authentic. There are not any out of the ordinary sound effects but I personally like the way the developers handled the voice acting – there is no voce acting but the characters mumbles while you read the text. It is not the best way to solve the problem but it is a funny one so I will give them credit for trying. Overall, Rule the Kingdom is a game with good music & SFX.
Story/Originality: I give Rule the Kingdom 8 out of 10 for its story and originality. As I mentioned before, the game looks like another copy of a strategy game but it is not. It is true that there is some base building but there is a great complex story behind all of the building. The story mode is strong and looks legit but with one small problem – your hero has amnesia and that is such a Hollywood cliché. Other than this, the game‘s story is great. There are some common things that you will encounter in other games but the only reason of this is because Rule the Kingdom has a very common theme – medieval.
General Gameplay: The game gets 7 out of 10 for this segment. There is nothing hard about the game because it is fairly intuitive and you have a thorough tutorial that explains you everything you need to know about the game. What I don’t like about Rule the Kingdom’s gameplay is the fact that the controls and character movement are clunky and you will have a hard time getting used to that. You can’t really zoom in or out on your village and selecting stuff you want to collect will also be annoying. The boss fights are turn-based and you will need some time to accommodate with that because the rest of the game is in real time. The game freezes from time to time but basically because of the enormous amount of pop-up ads. I have not encountered any bugs though.
Addictiveness: Rule the Kingdom gets 8 out of 10 for its addictiveness. It is a catchy game that most likely will stay for some time in your library. I really like that there is a balance between being a casual game and something more than that. When you will have enough free time you will spend it by doing quest in adventure mode or by fighting enemies in the arena or even just explore the surroundings. When you don’t have enough free time you can just collect things from the village, give some tasks to your workers and farmers and then just exit the game. This concept will make Rule the Kingdom a nice experience for all kinds of players and the fact that the game does not need any other extra content to be addictive says a lot.
Overall, Rule the Kingdom gets a rating of 7.8 out of 10. It has an interesting concept and it is a well-made game.
