You have two options; you either wait a long while or let your fuel replenish itself, or you purchase more fuel canisters in the in-game store, using your gold bars. You can purchase 40 fuel canisters for 15 gold bars, 80 fuel canisters for 25 gold bars and 180 fuel canisters for 50 gold bars. You can also increase the max amount of fuel canisters which you can have by a hundred by spending 200 gold bars. If you wish to have an unlimited amount of fuel, you will have to spend a whopping amount of 1500 gold bars. You can earn free fuel canisters by watching advertisement videos. These videos usually take up till 30 seconds and you cannot skip them until it finishes. After the video ends, you will be awarded with a small amount of fuel canisters.
There are three different kinds of ship parts in Driver Speedboat Paradise, bronze, silver and gold ship parts. You obtain them by hitting the crates during the levels, but it is easier to just purchase them in the in-game store. You need a lot of ship parts to be able to upgrade your speedboat. The price for ship parts varies from 20 gold bars up till 500 gold bars.

A very positive aspect about Driver Speedboat Paradise is that there are so many options implemented into the game, that it will allow players to get sucked in and spend hours on the game itself. Another very positive aspect about Driver Speedboat Paradise is that there are no advertisements in the game. This means that you will not get annoyed or obstructed by any kind of advertisement, allowing you enjoy the gameplay to its fullest.
Unfortunately, Driver Speedboat Paradise also has several negative aspects. For starters, the developers of Driver Speedboat Paradise have implemented a FUEL system into their game. You only have a limited amount of fuel, and every race that you participate in, will use a specific amount of fuel. Once you run out of fuel, you cannot play Driver Speedboat Paradise anymore, so you will either have to wait a long time for your fuel to replenish itself, or you will have to purchase more in the in-game store. This simply punishes loyal players and it is a real turn off for me. When I play a game, I would like to be able to play as long as I want, whenever I want.
The second negative aspect about Driver Speedboat Paradise is that the items in the in-game store are getting significantly more expensive, the more you progress through the game. To be able to obtain that kind of money, you will either have to play and grind a lot of levels, spend a lot of time on the game, or spend real money on the game. It I normal that developers of free-to-play games want to generate an income for themselves, but with Driver Speedboat Paradise it feels like they overdone it by too much. The developers should know that not everyone wants to spend money on a free-to-play game, or they simply cannot afford to. I believe that games such as Driver Speedboat Paradise need a reward system, that rewards loyal players and allow them to purchase better items in the in-game store, without having to spend any real money.
Artwork: I give Driver Speedboat Paradise an 8/10 for its artwork. The graphics and animations in Driver Speedboat Paradise remind me of early Need for Speed games, which were released on PC. Even though Need for Speed is a car race game and Driver Speedboat Paradise is a speedboat race game, the graphics are very similar. I really like the fact that there are special effects in the game, such as when you hit a wave, which will splash water droplets on your screen. There are many animations, which enhances the graphics of Driver Speedboat Paradise. I enjoy the fact that there are blurring effects, speeding effects and many other animations, because they make the game more thrilling to play.
Music & SFX: I give Driver Speedboat Paradise a 7/10 for its music and SFX. The soundtracks and sound effects in Driver Speedboat Paradise are of decent quality, not as high quality as I would have expected. It seems like the developers of this game spend a bit more time on the visuals instead of the sounds. I like the fact that the main menu soundtrack is different from the soundtracks that you hear during levels. This makes players less prone to becoming bored or bothered by the fact that they have to listen to the same soundtracks over and over again.
Story & Originality: I give Driver Speedboat Paradise an 8/10 for its story and originality. There are a couple of dozen speedboat racer games out on the app stores, but I believe that Driver Speedboat Paradise is one of the best between all of them. This is because of several original features, which are implemented into the game. There is no real story behind the game, but the tutorial does tell you a lot about what your goals are and why you are doing what you’re doing.
General Gameplay: I give Driver Speedboat Paradise 7/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in Driver Speedboat Paradise starts with a nicely build tutorial, teaching you the basics of the game and allowing you to practice the controls of the game. After the tutorial ends, the general gameplay will become pretty straightforward, but still very entertaining to play due to all the different kinds of levels, boats and customization options. I really like the fact that the user interface is crisp and clear, matches the overall theme of the game and allows you to navigate through the menus with ease. You can choose which kind of controls you want to use, steering your speedboat either by using your thumbs or tilting your screen. Having this option is very nice, because people can choose their own preformed controls.
Addictiveness: I give Driver Speedboat Paradise a 6/10 for addictiveness. Unfortunately, the developers of Driver Speedboat Paradise have implemented restrictions on the playtime of the game, which really slows down the general gameplay of the game. I believe that players of any type of game should be free to choose how long they want to play a game and whenever they want to play a game. Driver Speedboat Paradise has a fuel system in place, and once you run out of fuel, you will have to wait a long time for your fuel to be replenished by itself, or you will have to purchase more fuel canisters in the in-game store. Driver Speedboat Paradise has great graphics and the controls work rather well, so the addictiveness level would have been much higher if there was no fuel system in place.
All things considered, I give Driver Speedboat Paradise a 7/10.
