Coco Star: Fashion Model promises to show us the world of fashion, the red carpet and the life of a famous fashion model. Will you show off your stylist knowledge and bring Coco Star to the top of the fashion world?
Coco Star: Fashion Model is another Coco Play series game by TabTale. They are mostly known for other similar games like Coco Fashion, Coco Princess, Coco Wedding, Ava the 3D Doll and many others.
Coco Star: Fashion Model is rated 3.8/5 stars on the Google Play Store, while having 3.5/5 stars on it’s most downloaded version on the Apple App Store. While millions of downloads is definitely something, they don’t always automatically mean good, and the below average ratings certainly show something suspicious about this game. Let’s find out whether it’s worth your time or not.
In Coco Star: Fashion Model you have a city to explore, with 7 different locations to go to. These locations include the Dress Up Salon, the Make Up Salon, the Cinema, the Coco Residence, the Store, the Photo Studio and the Spa. The gameplay guides you through these locations one after the other, but you can also choose to go to any of them at will, if they are unlocked.
When you first start out, you should probably go to the Dress Up Salon, where you can access all the clothing and accessory options. You can dress up your Coco Star in any way you want. Some of the clothing and accessories are locked, but you can unlock them by watching an ad for each.
Once you feel content with her look, she will be sent to the Make Up Salon. There you can do her makeup yourself. You can use mascara, eyeliners, lipsticks and similar items to perfect Coco’s makeup. You will have to manually add and use them, instead of just selecting them.
If you are finished with the makeup, you can move on to the glamorous event at the Cinema. Your Coco Star will be transported there by a limousine, where a lot of photographers, media people and fans will be waiting. Once she gets out of the car, you will be able to move her around the red carpet by tapping on people that have an exclamation mark above their head.
If you tap on a photographer, he will take a picture of Coco and you can share it with your friends or save it to your phone. If you tap on a fan, you will have the option to sign something for him, by moving the pen to the correct place. If you tap on the Coco Star background, Coco will sign it and stand before it for another photo. Once you are done here, you can move out by tapping on the huge pink arrow.
Coco Star: Fashion Model also allows you to go to the Coco Residence, where you can change Coco’s look, like her hair color, eyes and even skin color.
The Photo Studio and the Spa both need to be unlocked in the Store, as they can’t be accessed without paying money. So you might also consider going to the Store on the city map, where you will be greeted by options to enhance the gameplay experience. There are options to purchase things like: Disable Ads for $0.99, Unlock all Dress Up and Make Up options for $6.99, Photo Studio for $6.99, Superstar Spa for $7.99, Cinema Star Event for $7.99 or Unlock Full Version for $11.99.
It’s worth to mention that the game has a lot of ads in it, most of them randomly popping in while you play. Everytime you choose a location on the map or go to another you will also get an ad. The clothes can also be unlocked by watching ads, although it’s optional.
Coco Star: Fashion Model is a really entertaining game for kids and adults alike, but you will quickly realize that there are a lot of ads in this game, and that locations are important to get through the game. If you would like to get rid of all of the ads and get locations without spending any real money through the app store, you should check out our free Coco Star: Fashion Model hack tool.

Coco Star: Fashion Model doesn’t require cheats, as the gameplay is as straightforward as possible. Cheats wouldn’t really serve any purpose whatsoever, however there are some small tips that I can share with you.
This game uses the well known formula from Coco Play games, where they limit your entrance to a part of the game, so you have to pay or wait for a certain amount of time for a new invite. In this one you can get invites to the Cinema. If you run out of invites, you will have to wait 7 hours for a new one. I would suggest to be patient instead of spending $7.99 to unlock this part of the game.
As for the Dress Up Salon, you should remember that you can get any clothes you want, but you will have to watch an ad for each. Decide for yourself if it’s worth it for you or not. On the same topic, if you are tired of the ads everywhere, you can disable them for $0.99.
The gameplay of Coco Star: Fashion Model is very simple. I started out on the city map and immediately went to the Dress Up Salon, only distracted by an ad. After I have dressed Coco up and unlocked some new clothes by watching some more ads, I was sent to the Make Up Studio, only to be distracted by another ad meanwhile.
The makeup part of the game is somewhat interesting at least, as you have to manually add makeup to Coco, by moving items like the eyeliner in the correct positions on her face. It felt more interactive than what I was used to in Coco Play games.
After the makeup was done, I moved on to the Cinema part, where there were again a little more interaction than expected. I had to sign some items for fans and let photographers take photos of Coco, but overall there wasn’t really much to do, other than looking pretty.
I also checked out the other options on the map, except the two locked ones. It’s a nice thing that Coco herself can be customized somewhat, althought the differences were small and the options were very limited. The most recognizable change was the skin and hair colors, but changing the eyes, nose and things like that were barely noticeable.
While being annoyed by more ads, I explored the Store as well, which has some ridiculous unlocks available. I would honestly not advise buying any of them, as the gameplay doesn’t really change enough between playthroughs to warrant it.
Overall, If I can be honest, I would rather advise people to not play this game. There are so many ads that you won’t really have much fun with it, and even if you would disable them or just disregard them, the gameplay is extremely simple, unoriginal and limited.
Artwork: The artwork in Coco Star: Fashion Model gets a 5/10. While the game looks fine for a mobile game, it’s nothing impressive, honestly. The backgrounds and the crowd at the cinema are also low resolution and just objectively ugly looking.
Music & SFX: I give the music a 6/10. As it’s usual in the Coco Play games, the same music is looped during the whole game, except for the Cinema, where you have limited entrance to, unless you pay. The SFX is mostly okay, but the sounds Coco makes in the Dress Up Salon and Make Up Salon can be annoying, especially if you take a long time to dress her up.
Story & Originality: The story of the game gets a 5/10 from me. Originality is not to be found here. You dress up your Coco Star, do her makeup and send her to the Cinema, where she’ll be photographed by the crowd, as she is so famous. I get it, the target demographic of this game wants this experience, but it’s in no way original.
General Gameplay: I give the general gameplay a 4/10. There is really nothing new or exciting to be found in the gameplay of Coco Star: Fashion Model. You dress Coco up, do her makeup, send her to the Cinema and if you pay enough money you can also make her go to the Photo Studio or the Spa. Most of these experiences require barely any input from the player and are not really varied in any way. Probably the only nice thing that sets this apart from other Coco Play games is that clothes can be unlocked by watching ads, instead of spending money. The problem is that most of the ads are not optional, but random pop in ads that ruin the experience.
Addictiveness: The addictiveness of the game gets a 3/10. Sadly, the same problems as mentioned in the gameplay section also apply here. There is little incentive to come back to the game, especially since it’s so plagued by ads. The limited gameplay also doesn’t really make it worthwhile to disable ads by spending real money.
Overall Score: 4/10.
