The Maze Runner Cheats & Hacks for Coins & Gems

The Maze Runner is a mobile game application, available for both smartphones and tablets which run either Apple’s iOS operating system or Google’s Android operating system. Since its release in February of this year, 2015, by one of Google’s top developers, PIKPOK, The Maze Runner has achieved well over ten million unique installs onto Android devices alone. The app is an action game, and is known as a ‘freemium’ application. This means that the app is entirely free to download, and does not cost anything at all – however, it does feature some in app purchases. These in app purchases are still one hundred percent optional, and the end user does not have to purchase them unless they see a need. They will credit the user with in game currencies and advantages, in the return for a sum of real life currency.

Users of The Maze Runner play along as (what appears to be) a maze escapist – they must unlock the mystery of the Maze whilst racing to survive at the same time. The users must run for their lives whilst they are dodging fatal falling boulders, dangerous fiery pits, and gushing aqueducts. There are also a variety of different runners who all have different stamina and speeds, so there is bound to be a player for everyone. If the user of The Maze Runner is not fast enough to escape, the maze will lock and seal shut – they will, virtually, be trapped inside of that maze.

There are a few controls, which are very easy to understand. This features tapping fast to run or sprint, as well as jumping moving with the slide of a finger. Users are able to customise their gameplay a little, with the option of swapping out their in game character for any of the runners from The Maze Runner film. Along the way, whilst exploring and collecting hidden clues, users are able to unlock new levels – these take the user into deeper and more challenging mazes. There are also daily rewards and gifts for users who stay loyal to the game.

If you want to join the community, filled with millions of other maze runners, then this game suits you perfectly! Presented by PIKPOK, and based on the official The Maze Runner film – this game should suit many age ranges.

Getting started within The Maze Runner is extremely easy, and also extremely straightforward – nobody should find issues here. There is a tutorial level, which will be repeated until the user perfects the basic moves of the game, which is very enjoyable and easy to understand. Large text ensures that the user knows exactly what to do at all times, whilst the arrows direct the user even more thoroughly.

The Maze Runner Cheats & Tips

As a quick and easy cheat, users should always start their maze with a boost. Almost every single maze starts with a straight path, so by tapping rapidly the user can get ahead quickly, for a fair distance. This means that in the end, the user will have more time to exit before the doors close and lock them inside. This is a very easy cheat, but does help out to a very big extent.

As well as this, users should just use the boost wherever they can, whenever possible. The more the user boosts, the quicker they will be able to get to the Glade, and the more valuables they will receive to spend on power ups.

This is a great tip for users who are just starting out within The Maze Runner, and need extra time. Every time a user sees a clock or a stopwatch along the maze, they should go out of their way to collect it. They will add vital and valuable seconds before the doors are completely closed – meaning it is easier to complete the level than skipping the clocks.

Free revives should always be used, since they are literally free and do not take away from anything. It is a common misconception that this will take away from the final score and currencies awarded – this is most certainly false. Use the free revives whenever and wherever possible.

To collect free Gems, users can watch videos by tapping the box in the game menu. This is also the same place to collect daily gifts. This is a great way to earn extra valuable currencies, and it can be completed semi-passively.

The Maze Runner Review

The Maze Runner provides an overall pleasing and immersive experience. The game is very fun to play, and I found myself becoming a part of the game at many moments within the game. Instead of feeling as if I was just a user, I felt as if I was actually running out of a maze – the game brings a strangely satisfying fantasy feeling which makes you feel as if you are in the game. Because of the fast-paced and action-packed nature of the game, combined with fantastic audio and artwork, this helped to contribute to the immersive experience which was provided by The Maze Runner. Because there is next to no time to spare within every level, I feel as if every movement I make depends on if I will reach the Glade of the maze. This is a great job, and I am pleased with how this has worked out.

The user interfaces within The Maze Runner are very nice – in fact, they are actually perfect. All of the buttons were of an exactly perfect size – I had no issues with accidentally pressing the wrong button due to odd sizing or layouts. No button was too big and out of place, nor were any of the buttons too small and hard to press. I was also pleased to see that nothing was cramped or crowded into the small mobile device screen, and everything looked ordinary and professional. The artstyle of the user interfaces also match with the artwork of the game itself. A job well done, in this department.

The artwork for The Maze Runner is quite amazing. I have never seen so much definition within a mobile game – to the point that it could even be a photograph of sorts. I think that it is appealing to all age ranges – I could definitely see the art being appreciated by children, teens, adults and even members of the elderly alike, The art is actually shocking, but in the nicest way possible. It really adds to the general gameplay aspect of the game and it makes the game seem much more realistic (and also adds to the immersivity). Along with the sound effects, this is brilliant. If this game did not feature as much detail, then the game would not be half as good as it currently is. I feel as if the artwork plays a very big part within The Maze Runner. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the artwork and I think it is perfect.

I was very pleased to see that the developers have not included any third party advertisements, whatsoever, throughout the entire game. I have not seen any deals or promotional offers popping up on my screen, either – this is a nice touch. There is nothing worse than being distracted by banners and pop-ups, so I feel that if adverts were included then the game would not be quite as enjoyable as it is now. To not be distracted is amazing, and I am sure it can be appreciated by every gamer – a fantastic move here, on the developer’s half.

Ratings

Artwork: I must give The Maze Runner a solid and well-deserved 10/10 for their artwork. The developers have absolutely smashed it, and they are one hundred percent perfect. I cannot say a single bad word about the artwork, and nor can I suggest any improvements – that is how perfect they actually are. The artwork adds to the game immensely and I am pleased that they have not been slacked on. This department has been perfected, completely.

Music & SFX: I am able to give The Maze Runner a strong 8/10 for their work with music and sound effects. The sound effects are near on perfect – they make the game a lot more immersive. Every single crushing wall, jump, dive, or sprint seems much more realistic with these wonderful sound effects. However, I am unable to give the full ten since music is far too absent – I feel as if some dramatic music could add to the game, as well as the immersivity, greatly. If there were some nice music, I could easily award the full ten here since the sound effects are brilliant.

Story and Originality: I am able to give The Maze Runner a mediocre 5/10 for the story and originality. The game is not entirely original – there are a load of games which do it similar, with the likes of Temple Run and many more. However, there are a good number of unique twists within the game, which is why I am awarding what I have – and not a zero. The game has no storyline whatsoever – If I were not to have watched the movie, I would not know who my character is, why my character is in mazes and why they need to escape. The storyline of the game itself needs to be worked on greatly.

General Gameplay: I can give The Maze Runner an 8/10 for general gameplay. The beautiful graphics combined with the super realistic sound effects makes for a great game. It is very fun, and this is especially due to how immersive things really are within The Maze Runner. Everything is smooth and responsive, which adds to the general gameplay experience greatly. I had no issues with controls, either. I just cannot give the full ten, since there is no storyline – which basically leaves me with no real reason to be playing.

Addictiveness: I can give The Maze Runner an 8/10 for the addictiveness. The game is very addictive, and I often find myself playing the game. It is certainly not something I can play for hours on end, but it is a game which I can open at any time and it will fulfil my boredom. The general gameplay and fantastic artwork makes me want to play it even more, just so that I can continue appreciating it. Combined with the smooth responsiveness and great controls, this makes me want to open the app whenever I have some spare time. However, since there is no storyline, I am unable to give the full ten.

Overall, I give The Maze Runner an 8/10.
