There are a lot of options to choose from, so you can make different combinations to see what fits best together. After you completed the dress of your character, you will move on to the ballroom.

Once you arrive at the ballroom, you will be able to choose from one of three different princes. After you have chosen the prince you would like to dance with, a cut scene will start and you will see your character dance together with the prince. I have played a lot of mobile games over the years and I have even played games just like Coco Ice Princess, even though they are not at all the game type for me. When I saw the screenshots on the Google App Store, I could already imagine what Coco Ice Princess would be about, and I was right. In Coco Ice Princess, you are supposed to be the stylist for Royal people, dressing them up, putting make up on them and seeing them off to the Ball or Royal festivities. The gameplay is not appealing to me at all, but that doesn’t mean that I will bash it.

The developers have probably spend a lot of time to design the different kinds of characters, dresses, make-up and environments. The characters themselves are not realistic, I would say that they are more like anime characters. I really like the fact that the camera zooms in towards the characters, so you can see the work that you apply on them in more detail. There are several soundtracks and SFX in Coco Ice Princess, making sure that the gameplay does not get boring, which is very nice in my opinion. Having no soundtracks or SFX makes the gameplay dull and unappealing.

Unfortunately, there are several negative aspects about Coco Ice Princess, which can be a huge turn off for players who enjoy these kinds of games. For starters, the developers of Coco Ice Princess have decided to implement pop-up advertisements, which show up exactly when you are about to tap on the screen, or when you need to tap on the screen to continue. This makes Coco Ice Princess feel like a cheap cash grab, because the developers seem to want to trick people into accidently tapping on the advertisements.

The worst thing about this is the fact that, accidently tapping on an advertisement in Coco Ice Princess will minimalize your game and open up your browser. These are one of the most annoying and obstructive advertisements out there, and if the developers really care about their players, they should look into implementing different kinds of ads. The second negative aspect about Coco Ice Princess is the fact that many features in the game are locked away and are not accessible unless you pay for them. Yes, Coco Ice Princess is a free-to-play game and the developers have the right to want to earn some money for their efforts, but locking content is not the way to go, in my opinion. Because of the fact that much content is locked away, players cannot experience the full game and will not know if the game is worth the money. I believe that the developers should let the players play the full game for a certain amount of time first. If they like it, they will want to pay to keep playing the game.

Artwork: I give Coco Ice Princess an 8/10 for its artwork. I really like the fact that the graphics of Coco Ice Princess resemble something that you would see in a Disney movie. If you have ever watched the movie Frozen, than Coco Ice Princess’ graphics will really appeal to you. Next to the graphics being pretty decent, there are also many animations in the game, which enhance the gameplay a lot. I personally like the fact that the characters are not realistic, but more like the characters in an Anime show. What is nice about them is that they have idle animations, like making gentle movements or have facial expressions. This helps you when you try to apply make-up to a character, because you can directly see the results of your work.

Music & SFX: I give Coco Ice Princess a 7/10 for its music and SFX. There are a few soundtracks in Coco Ice Princess, which is nice because having one or even no soundtracks in a game, makes the gameplay really boring in my opinion. I like the fact that the soundtracks change when you are styling a character, and when you return to the main menu. This helps you transition from one place to another. There are also several sound effects in Coco Ice Princess, which makes the game more entertaining to play. The SFX range from main menu button SFX to make-up applying SFX, enhancing the general gameplay of the game. Overall, the quality of both the soundtracks and sound effects are pretty decent.

Story & Originality: I give Coco Ice Princess a 7/10 for its story and originality. There are many stylist type of games on the app stores, but that does not take away the fact that the developers of Coco Ice Princess did a good job on their game. I like the fact that there are different rooms where you can change the looks of your character. You can change your characters’ facial features, their clothes, their make-up and you can even do a photoshoot at the photo studio.

General Gameplay: I give Coco Ice Princess a 7/10 for general gameplay. There is no real tutorial at the beginning of Coco Ice Princess. However, there are several text balloons, telling you what to do at the current stage that you are in. This is very helpful, especially because of the fact that the game is designed for children and they can easily get confused. After a short period of playtime, the game becomes straightforward but still very entertaining if you are someone who likes to play dress up and put make-up on people. Fortunately, the controls in Coco Ice Princess are responsive and the user interface is nicely designed to match the whole Royal theme of the game. This makes it easy to navigate through the menu and different categories of the game.

Addictiveness: I give Coco Ice Princess a 5/10 for addictiveness. Coco Ice Princess is not at all addictive for me, simply because of the game genre not being appealing to me at all. I can imagine that a lot of children would like to play as a stylist and the developers have designed the environment like it is something out of a Disney movie. Another reason for Coco Ice Princess being not at all additive is because of the fact that the developers have locked up several of its features, and you can only access them by paying money. The problem is, that not everyone wants or can spend money on a free-to-play mobile game, and why should they? Players should at least be able to test out all of the games’ features, before they spend any money on it.

All things considered, I give Coco Ice Princess a 7/10.
