Grab The Auto 3, brought to us by Ping9 games and available on Android, is an incredibly vibrant open-world shooter that requires the player to thieve and kill their way to the top. You’ll be adopting the persona of John Woods, a man with a questionable ethical code who simply wants to make ends meet in the big city and, well, cause some general chaos along the way. As the name suggests, Grab The Auto 3 shares a similar ethos with the wildly popular Rockstar franchise Grand Theft Auto, and is appealing in that it is a stripped down, quick, easy to play version of these games.
The player’s primary goal is to mow down as many citizens as they can by beating, shooting or simply running them over in order to steal their cash and gain killing points, which you can use to purchase an array of powerful firearms from the gun store. Strategy comes into play when the police catch wind of your murderous rampage and attempt to land you in the slammer, so you must either evade or kill them in order to retain your hard earned money.
Grab The Auto 3 is a vast improvement on its well-received predecessors Grab The Auto 1 and 2 and has implemented many new features that enhance the gameplay dramatically. For instance, there are now 8 different cars available to drive, both night-mode and an entirely new city have been added, the driving physics are much easier to control, the behaviour of both the pedestrians and police is generally more realistic and you now have a much loved, forever loyal doggy companion who will follow you around no matter how fast your high-speed escape is!

There aren’t any cheats available for use in Grab The Auto 3, but there are many helpful tips that will allow you to unlock new weapons quickly! Though it is easy enough to shoot civilians, because they do not defend themselves against you, it is much harder to evade the police effectively. These tips will go a long way in helping you to achieve this.
Unless you’re a brilliant shot, I suggest that you should not attempt an escape on foot. Though you are pretty defenceless in a vehicle (cars and trucks do not shield you from bullets), you’ll need the speed they provide to make your getaway.
Remember to take careful note of your fuel meter, don’t waste your precious petrol on ramming people over! You’ll need a full tank of gas to secure your getaway.
Keep in mind that police advance on you quickly and with little warning (though there is an infamousy star rating that mirrors that of Grand Theft Auto, the time between the player receiving a star and police advancement is minimal). Because of this, make sure there’s a car close by once you commence your shoot-out.
Note that, when you are hit with a bullet, it damages you quite significantly. You’ll want to avoid being hit at any cost, especially because your health does not regenerate.
When making your escape, it is integral to remember to make as many sharp turns as possible, avoid driving down one long road. This will make it much harder for the police to keep up with you!
Make sure you spend your killing points on better guns when you can, as the upgrade is enormous and your killing power will improve tenfold.
Grab The Auto 3 is a great stress relief, and a pretty fun way to burn some time. You’re John Woods, who is new to the city (we can only assume that he’s on the run) and inevitably wants to let off a little steam too. The game looks pretty nice, though the graphics are choppy at times and the controls are a little hard to use. However, we have to take these things with a grain of salt, because the game is still in beta, and the developers are working really hard to fix these things.
The sound effects are ultra realistic, and this can make them somewhat disturbing, but it makes the whole thing more atmospheric and easier to immerse yourself in, so that’s definitely a plus in my books. Though Grab The Auto 3 owes itself to the Grand Theft Auto franchise in many ways, and thus is not original in essence, it’s refreshing to be able to play a really quick, stripped down version on it with all the convenience that app games allow us. Obviously, because of the violent nature of the game, I strongly advise that nobody under the age of 18 should play it. But if you’re a well-adjusted, regular adult, I’d recommend this game as a quick, fun and therapeutic mini-shooter that won’t leave you disappointed.
Grab the Auto 3 Ratings
Artwork: I give Grab The Auto 3 a 7 out of 10 for Artwork. All in all, the graphics of this game do nothing to impress, but are up to scratch for an open world app. However, the company’s third instalment bolsters their already impressive texture work.
Music and SFX: I give Grab The Auto 3 a 9 out of 10 for Music and SFX. The game doesn’t have any music, but the sound effects are pretty brutal! You can’t deny that it’s pretty satisfying to hear a blood-curdling scream when you pull the trigger. Otherwise, the general urban sounds of the city really add the the atmosphere.
Story and Originality: I give Grab The Auto 3 a 5 out of 10 for Story and Originality. The story itself is pretty loose. There’s a lot of room for the imagination to take over in a game like this, I mean, we all like to explore our dark sides through gaming. I have to admit that it is quite unoriginal, as it is extremely similar to the very popular Grand Theft Auto franchise, but that might not be an issue for some players. Overall, I give Grab The Auto 3 a 5/10 for its story.
General Gameplay: I give Grab The Auto 3 a 7 out of 10 for General Gameplay. The controls are a little clunky at times, but this is understandable as the game is in beta, and the developers have expressed an interest in hearing criticism from players as they’d like to improve on this for their official release. However, driving moves quite smoothly, and ripping through the streets is an incredibly satisfying feeling.
Addictiveness: I give Grab The Auto 3 a 9 out of 10 for Addictiveness. Grab The Auto 3 is an incredibly addictive game, who doesn’t want to let off some steam through controlled, in-game violence! I guarantee you that this will be your number one go to when you need to kill a little time, pun intended.
Overall, I give Grab The Auto 3 an 8/10.
