My Horse Tips & Hack for Gems & Coins – New Cheats Available

Do you love horses? Have you ever wished you could have your own? If so, then My Horse might be of use to you to learn the ins and outs of proper horse care! Not just that, but you will also be able to show off your skill in various horse races, competitions and riding tournaments!

My Horse is a full 3D horse management game by Natural Motion Games. The developer might sound familiar thanks to their other games such as the mobile version of Jenga, the Backbreaker football games, CSR racing games or Clumsy Ninja.

My Horse has a very outstanding 4.5/5 stars rating on the Google Play Store, while also having the same, although more standard 4.5/5 stars on the Apple App Store. The game obviously seems to attract the crowd of horse fanatics, but let’s find out if it’s really such a treat!

When you take your first steps into the game, you will be greeted by a friendly horse named Beauty. You can pet her and feed her, making her happy and she will immediately get to like you. Then you will meet the stable guy, Dan, who will help you through the basics of the game in the form of tutorials, while also providing you tasks later on. At a first glance, My Horse might seem like a simple game, but below the surface lies a little bit more than you would expect.

Once you are let go to do whatever you wish around the stables, there will be a lot of different activites you can take place in, including horse care, like creating special food for your horse or buying treats for her. When deciding what kind of food you want to make, you will have to play a short minigame, where you will have to add the correct amount of ingredients to the bucket, mix it, then it will be used to feed the horse. When treating her, there will be options to choose what kind of treats you want to give to her, like peppermints, sugar cubes or carrots.

Since a horse needs more than just food, you will also need to groom Beauty, which happens in the form of another minigame. Your task is to clean the dirt off of her in the stables by swiping your fingers over the dirty spots. Once she is clean, her health will improve a little bit and she will be happier.

Of course, not only the horse will need to be cleaned, but the paddock as well. My Horse has an option for Paddock Clean Up, which is another minigame. In this one you will have to pick herbs and dung off of the ground in the correct order, as shown on the screen. If the paddock is cleaned, you will be able to play the Muck Out minigame, which is for cleaning Beauty’s stable by throwing out the old straw and replacing it with new.

Most of these activities sound like work, but where is the fun? Well, you also have an way to compete in My Horse, by taking part in championships and tournaments. Each of these consist of multiple stages, starting with simple tasks and shows, going up to the finales. For example, in the UK Open Championship you will have tasks such as making small and medium jumps, jumping above poles, avoiding barrels, galloping and more.

These competitions usually require you to train for them first and also to have your horse’s health above a specified limit, which can be done by feeding and grooming her. Training and the competitions themselves consist of you watching as your  horse and the rider move through the stages in full 3D, while you have to react and tap the jump button at the correct times. Successful competitions and tournaments award experience and coins.

If you would think about expanding your stables and adopting some more horses, you can do that too. There are a lot of different horses available to buy, along with all kinds of items like riding and paddock tack or horse “hairstyles”. Of course your rider can be customized as well, so you can choose the gender, clothes and hairstyles to customize.

While the main gameplay sections are covered, there are still some more passive care and work options in My Horse. Going to the Care tab will let you choose all kinds of horse cares for the stable guy, Dan to complete while you are doing something else. These can include things like Stable Maintenance, Horse Care and Horse Exercise, just to mention a few. Going to the Work tab will let you choose Riding Lesson, TV Show or Photo Shoot, along with even more options later on. All of these cost energy and/or coins to start and will passively count down in the background until they are finished, awarding experience and bonus health levels.

The game also has an extensive Shop, where you can get all kinds of things for real money such as Starter Kits that include different clothes and new horses for a price, individual horse tack, horse “hairstyles”, riders, treats, coins and gems. Coins can be used in most parts of the game and it is the most important currency, while gems are usually only used to speed things up or skip training sessions. Prices in the Shop for all items vary anywhere from $0.99 to ~ $79.99.

You can also get free gems by watching ads or downloading sponsored apps. Ads are not shown otherwise, only if you choose to watch them in exchange for gems.

Cheats & Tips for My Horse

My Horse has some cheats for you, allowing you to bypass some of it’s features by using gems, like the training sections. Something that would usually take a long time, like training your horse suddenly becomes nothing to worry about, as your cheats help you instantly finish it. Getting gems can be done in multiple ways other than cheats, one of those is by watching ads or downloading sponsored apps, so keep this in mind.

As for tips, My Horse is a game that doesn’t require much of a skill to play, most of it is really self explanatory, especially since the tutorial helps a lot. Still, sometimes you might feel lost, so in that case go and check out the stable guy’s picture on the main screen, he will tell you some available tasks anytime. Later on there will be new workers appearing as well, who will all give you numerous new tasks, always keeping you busy.

Also remember to schedule things in the Care and Work tab before exiting the game, as they will continue even when you are offline. When you come back to the game later, you will find your horse more healthy and having more experience.

A last tip I can give you is that if you have troubles with leveling, especially later on in the game, you might consider doing the simple activities, like feeding and grooming over and over again, as each provide experience, coins and also make your horse feel better. They are easily done in a short time and can help you with leveling. Going to the competitions and even replaying some of the older ones might also help with getting experience.

My Horse Review

While I’m usually not really a big fan of horses, I was curious about My Horse, since I have never played a similar game before. I started out clueless in this horse management game, but the tutorials are so extensive that I got to understand everything in a pretty short time.

Before I go further, I must mention how terrible the controls in this game are. The buttons are very unresponsive in almost any screen, having to tap on them multiple times to register the commands. This is extremely annoying, especially during the competition parts, where timing is key. This and the fact that the game sometimes just randomly starts lagging, while at other times it runs fine lower the experience in a big way.

So, after I got the basics, I had free hand around the stables, I could go anywhere and try anything I wanted. At first I gave a try to the minigames of feeding and treating my horse, Beauty. They were pretty simple, so I wanted to check out the others, maybe they would provide something more interesting, but they were all locked. I needed to level up to 6 to be able to play all of the minigames.

To do so, I went to the Compete screen and took part in a lot of competitions and tournaments, gaining a lot of experience and coins, making my leveling experience somewhat easy, at least in the early levels, but as I got further it slowed down a lot, almost to a chore. Anyway, the competitions were all very simple, basically a cutscene with some random barriers scattered about for the horse to jump above, which I had to time accordingly. This was kind of hard with the unresponsive buttons, so I could hardly do them perfectly. There were also nothing unique or too interesting in these tasks, as the animations played the exact same way everytime I went to a competition or training. It was honestly very disappointing that the horse moved in the exact same pattern every single time.

After I finally reached level 6, I played the remaining minigames, but none of them were what I was looking for. All of them were extremely simple and not challenging at all. At this point I already had the feeling that the game’s main focus is for horse lover people to be able to look at virtual horses anytime during the day, as the gameplay is honestly mediocre.

The new outfits, tack and horse “hairstyles” all seemed unneccesary as well to me, since the game played out the exact same way with these activated. The Shop also has a lot of things on sale for real money, but honestly I felt like things were really overpriced.

Overall I feel like My Horse is a game definitely meant for horse fanatics, as the gameplay alone doesn’t really make for an experience that is worth to continue for long. I easily got bored of the game after I have seen all of what it has to offer, which didn’t take long. So if you are really into horses, then give a go to My Horse, otherwise it’s not really an experience that you will look back upon with fondness.

Ratings

Artwork: The artwork in My Horse gets a 6/10 rating. While the game doesn’t look exceptionally good, it has an acceptable visual quality for it’s 3D gameplay. While the horses and the stables usually look good enough, the crowd and other background objects can look flat and heavily pixelated. The menu buttons are also very generic and could look a lot better. My Horse definitely won’t be remembered for its visual style, that’s for sure.

Music & SFX: The SFX in this game deserves a 7/10 rating. I can’t rate the music in My Horse, as the game literally has no music in it. There are a lot of background noises, like ducks quacking, birds singing and other audio effects, like the horse’s gallopping. These are all pretty good quality.

Story & Originality: I give the story of the game a 6/10. Horse management games are not exactly what I would call original. Still, at least the game tries and makes attempts at easing you into the situation it presents, making you feel somewhat like a real horse owner.

General Gameplay: The general gameplay of My Horse gets a 5/10 from me. The game features a lot of different gameplay aspects, like taking care of your horse and the stables or going to competitions, challenges and tournaments. Most of these could be fun, but there are a lot of issues that ruin it. The general unresponsiveness of buttons and the sometimes laggy 3D graphics are the main issues of the game. Leveling is also pretty slow, especially on higher levels, which is really annoying. The gameplay is really mediocre overall.

Addictiveness: The addictiveness of the game gets a 5/10. The game has features that could make you want to come back to it time after time, like training, collectibles or new items for both your horse and you. The only problem is that the downsides such as the unresponsive and clunky gameplay could easily scare away players from continuing their story. The slow progressing might also do a great deal in alienating players after a while and causing them to leave their horses behind.

Overall Score: 5/10.
