Although this game is very straightforward in everything because the game really guides you through the entire tutorial which pretty much helps to explain almost every aspect in the game that you need to know. But there is a couple of tips that I could give you. First of all, you should be building your resource buildings the quickest so that you can get a ton of raw resources. From that, you can build almost everything else that you need. This is crucially important in 2016 as the prices are being adjusted very often.
So by building what you need the most, you will be able to build the rest of your buildings so that you can either sell your raw resources for money or use them yourself. This is probably the best tip that I can give you because otherwise the game helps to explain everything that is worth explaining. So ultimately, just try and follow and understand what you need to accomplish for this game and also what you need to do during the game so that you know what you need to accomplish next.
The game will guide you through a couple of different objectives that you need to complete in order to make progress in the game and be able to expand your paradise so that it feels like real paradise.
Paradise Bay is a game of living the life of an island where you get to create several different venues of profit and trade. First of all, you will be able to create a seaport that you will use to trade and try and upgrade it until you are getting a ton of resources from it and trading with your friends. You will be able to go to new worlds and get a new experience every single time that you get to a new level. You will get to meet the islanders and merchants who you can trade with to customize your own tropical paradise. You will get to go through the land and discover more that the island has to offer, including the secrets of the island and be able to expand your seaport beyond where you are located.
In Paradise Bay, you will get to create your own tropical paradise where you can customize the decorations of your island and go on the market where you can sell whatever you have with other people for money or for items that you might need yourself. Along with this, it is also kind of like those planting games where you plant a crop, wait for it to grow, and then get coins out of it or some kind of resource. This is the exact same. You will be able to get a ton of raw resources by planting and then harvesting resources that you place in the ground for your paradise to become actual paradise!
I think that Paradise Bay definitely has one of the best graphics among apps that are currently out there, but it is pretty close. The graphics are really detailed and really pretty so that you want to play because it would be something to really show your friends about how much work that you did and how great you could show off this creation of yours. It seems like it is a pretty big highlight of the game with all of the detail that they put into the artwork of the game. The amount of gameplay in Paradise Bay is also really massive. The game is almost like a combination of both an exploration game as well as a farming game where you get to farm a bunch of resources so that you can create some buildings. So it kind of feels like it is a combination of two games. There are a ton of customization items that you can get so that you can make it your own island. This makes the game a ton of fun and makes it so that you can play for a long time, continuing to create new buildings so that you can make a huge kingdom of paradise.
I would recommend this game to anyone of any age because it is a fun building game that anyone might get into. I think that it does have potential to grow with some sort of team activities that you can play with friends, but it is still a lot of fun. I think kids would have fun trying to beat each other and parents might enjoy trying to continue building on their paradise.
Ratings
Music and SFX:
I would give Paradise bay a rate of 7/10 for music. The music itself has originality where it brings out smooth background music. The music is in a slow rhythm where it reminds you of similar island games you may have played before. It enhances the ability of imagining and making yourself feel like you really are at an island itself. The sound effects provide a good source of knowledge as to when you completed the task, and when you need more ingredients of cotton, ropes, and so on. Although there are sound effects it can be quite annoying once you progress. The sounds become predictable as well as when you complete each task. Collecting cotton for example can and other crops you plant provide a sound when it adds on to your inventory.
Artwork:
I would give paradise bay a rate of 6/10 for artwork. The artwork is very unique. Each piece of the artwork connects with each other causing each part to have its own important role. Such as the tree placement, as well as the water/waterfall placements. The island is managed just enough for the whole island to look unique. Animation blends in with the artwork perfectly, such as the waterfall near the tutorial where you first meet Finn and the rope animation once you give the rope to Finn where his next step is to dive down into the pond connected to the waterfall.. Although the trees look like there can be improved here and there, I am sure the graphics will be improved towards the tree’s image, and animation. But the water animations have definitely been put a lot of time into, you can tell because the waterfall itself looks really realistic. The slow motion of the water falling down towards the pond may be one of the best graphics in this game. In other words, this game can be improved.
Story and Originality:
I would give paradise bay a rate of 6/10 based on story and originality. As the story progresses, you have the ability to explore more of the island as well as meeting numerous friends of Keani. Different islands are waiting to be explored one after another. Treasures are waiting in the lost sea, as you have access to dive into the sea and look for the treasures that wait. Pieces of lost maps are scattered everywhere. You can either quickly find them all or you may take your time and enjoy the music provided into the gameplay itself. You can unlock new places by finding all of the map pieces and completing the tasks given.
The story starts off with an amazing background of paradise bay as well as an artistic water view. Stating and written by Keani. She is a female character who will be first guiding you through your tutorial. Yet she is the one who asks for a trade master (you). Her background is stating how she promised her father to take care of. She encourages herself to make the place even better, but she needs your help. From there, the message and background ends and you encounter Keani introducing herself as well in the introduction. The second living creature you will meet besides humans would be animals, one known as Skippy a turtle who hunts in the sea and catches fish for you as long as you provide him a fishing net which you make out of by harvesting the six provided cotton. Once you get the hang of the source of how to harvest and plant the cotton you will also need to know how to be able to make ropes, and catch fishes. From there on you will meet Finn a little boy who is stuck on the top of a tree.
You will have to use the rope you created and get him down by giving the rope to him. The gameplay is a bit predictable as we can all tell what’s next. (Numerous amounts of unique missions are given one after another as once said before). The originality of this game is not very creative, but the gameplay is different from all the other games that are similar to what King’s Limited’s game. You are given coins which are the main source of the game to start off with. You are also provided with 50 gems, but if you would like additional gems, you will have to pay real money. Using gems can be quite addicting, but once you start using the gems, it is hard to stop. Once you run out of gems you can either spend more money and buy however amount of gems you want based on the package provided by the game, or you can sit there and wait however much the time is asking you for.
Although I am no sure whether this addictiveness of spending money to add more gems is a positive reaction, or negative reaction, it is still an addictive game. The gameplay itself is very smooth; there are no sudden movements of freezing screen or pausing for even a second. Like Candy Crush, usually once you tab out to something else and come back after a few seconds, you may lose progress. But with paradise Bay, you do not lose progress as it saves every moment. For example, in one case you can run out of battery all of a sudden, and your progress will not have to suffer. Once you log back in, the progress resumes to where you once gone off. This whole game requires patience.
General gameplay:
I would give paradise bay a rate of 7/10 based on the gameplay. Paradise Bay, a game produced by the king’s company who also made candy crush saga and Bubble witch saga, which is compatible with iphone, ipad, and ipod touch. Although this time King’s limited hasn’t produced a puzzle game like candy crush, this one is also very time consuming as your objective is to trade and grow on your very own island. Another common goal is to befriend the characters you meet, such as the locals, the merchants and Keani herself and her friends. Its background starts of where you arrive at Paradise Bay. Upon your arrival you will meet a woman known as Keani. She is in charge of the tutorial. She shows you the basics such as how to harvest the cotton, build ropes, replanting the different types of ingredients you may inlay into the field.
Addictiveness:
For addictiveness I will give Paradise Bay a rate of 6/10 .. The fifty gems given will not last if you are impatient. Paradise Bay requires a lot of time and effort to be placed as everything you do requires a certain amount of time, such as building a hut, or waiting for the time given to harvest cottons etc. In general, the basic task for every friend of Keani’s is to collect resources, and when you have the amount requested, you are to trade the item to merchants, locals and so on. There are no strategies as to how to play or achieve faster in progress except for using gems which are bought with real money. Upon leveling up, you are given a few items, such as coins experience points cotton and other ingredients you can use to expand your island even more to your maximum capacity of your imagination. Achievements in this game are pretty simple to complete.
With the endless tasks given, there is not a time where you can really rest. Each task you complete with is replaced with another task that requires more ingredients which also increase as you progress later in the game. Although the storyline is unique this game is addictive in its own positive way. With the amounts of endless requests from various friends, local merchants, and people from different islands, there isn’t a point where you have to rush anything. This game is built in to have you enjoy the endless requests they ask for. Your main objective is to complete them. it will not be efficient even if you took days to finish one task. Paradise bay is a free to play game, which created a new idea for future mobile games. With now the newest version updated, it provides different languages such as Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Korean, and Portuguese there will most likely be more and more app users who will play Paradise Bay. With future updates towards this game, I’m sure this game will be a big hit just like Candy Crush saga, and Bubble Witch saga. The increasing audience will never fail King’s Limited.
Overall:
Overall I would give Paradise bay a 7/10 mainly because the music is very unique; they provide a relaxing background music while you play the game play. The gameplay may not be as unique, but it does have a sturdy build in terms of addictiveness.
