The more apples you grab, the higher your score will be and the more gold coins you will receive.

But many developers go too far and really do not know how to place ads properly, making their games feel like a cheap cash grab. Luckily, this is not at all the fact with Granny Smith Free.
There are not many negative aspects to name about Granny Smith Free. In fact, the only one I can think off right now is that the game has a very limited amount of playable levels. As the name suggests, the game is the free version of the full game called Granny Smith. You will need to pay $1,99 to unlock four new worlds, which also means that there will be way more levels to play. You will also be able to unlock three other playable characters, if you decide to purchase the full game.
This is normally not a big deal for me, and the $1,99 price tag is very reasonable for a game such as Granny Smith Free. The only problem I have with this is the fact that not everyone can afford to spend money on a free-to-play game, which means that those people will miss out and won’t be able to play the full game. This is a shame and I feel like the developers should look into changing this by rewarding their loyal players.
Artwork: I give Granny Smith Free an 8/10 for its artwork. The graphics of Granny Smith Free are pretty decent, especially considering that it is a mobile game. The graphics are cartoonish and they really fit the theme of the game. The developers obviously have paid a lot of attention to detail and animations, which you can easily see if you focus a little bit on the game itself. I really like the fact that the characters have their own idle animations, making the game feel more alive. Granny Smith Free only has one playable world, which means that I was not able to see the level design of other worlds, but I can imagine them being good as well. The developers did a great job combining the graphics with the special effects, making the game really enjoyable and entertaining to play.
Music & SFX: I give Granny Smith Free an 8/10 for its music and SFX. Granny Smith Free features several soundtracks and sound effects, which really fit the overall theme of the game. It is been said that there are even more soundtracks and SFX in the other parts of the game, but I couldn’t listen to them because I had the free version. I really like the fact that the soundtrack in the main menu is way different then the soundtracks you would hear during a level. There are many nice SFX implemented into the game, which is important in my opinion. Both the soundtracks and SFX are easy on the ears and will not bore or bother the players.
Story & Originality: I give Granny Smith Free a 9/10 for its story and originality. There are probably a few other games that have similar game mechanics like Granny Smith Free, but to be honest, I never played a game like this before on a mobile platform, or any platform for that matter. This means that the game is not familiar for me and thus, very original in my opinion. Granny Smith Free has a very nice video in the beginning, telling players about the story behind the game. Having a story is very nice in an arcade/action game such as Granny Smith Free, because players will feel with the characters.
General Gameplay: I give Granny Smith Free an 8/10 for general gameplay. At the very first level of Granny Smith Free, there is a very small tutorial, showing you how to use the controls and how to play the game. The tutorial is not really needed because of the gameplay being pretty straightforward, but it is still nice to have one. The gameplay itself is very entertaining and becomes increasingly challenging, the more you progress through the game. I am a person who enjoys being challenged when playing games, so this is a very positive aspect for me. The controls are very responsive and smooth, and the user interface is beautifully designed.
Addictiveness: I give Granny Smith Free a 7/10 for addictiveness. I always enjoy it when mobile games do not have any time or life limits implemented in them. This was also the fact with Granny Smith Free, which allowed players to play the game whenever they wanted, however long they wanted. The levels start off pretty easy but they get significantly harder, the more you play the game. The only problem I encountered with Granny Smith Free is the fact that it is a free version, which means that you only have a small amount of levels to play. This means that you cannot really get addicted to the game before you have paid for the full version.
All things considered, I give Granny Smith Free an 8/10.
