About Boonie Rescue

The first few levels are tutorial levels, that will teach you the tips and tricks to play the game, such as matching four or five Bonnies, and what type of effect will each of the special Bonnies yield. The more levels you manage to clear, the more things you unlock. For instance, once you gain enough levels, you unlock Boosters that can be used to clear levels when you are stuck with them. If you fail to pass a level, you use up one of your five lives.

Luckily, the lives wills regenerate over time, and you’ll have five lives soon enough. However, if you are unwilling to wait, you can choose to refill all your lives for $0.99.

As you proceed into the game, Boonie Rescue will get more and more challenging, ensuring that you won’t be bored with the application, and also gaining you hours upon hours of fun.

If you manage to finish the level before all your moves run out, the game helps you gain bonus points by turning each move into a special Boonie, which will tend cause an special effect that adds points to your total score.

Each level has different game modes, ranging from getting to the target score before your moves or time run out, collecting map pieces or helping the cute Bonnies escape from their cages. If you did not catch what mode you were playing, you can check the top left hand corner of the screen, where the game will tell you what kind of level you are trying to clear.

After each level, you’ll get to see a cute animation of the Bonnies that you rescued getting into your intergalactic spaceship as your ship zips off to the next stage to save more Bonnies. Of course, the game also offers the option of skipping the animation if you do not wish to see it by taping the screen once.

Cheats & Tips for Boonie Rescue

Boonie Rescue is a solo game, meaning that within the game itself, you do not compete with your friends. However, you can, of course, choose to compete against your friends with your online rankings, through using the iOS Game Centre or Movie Star Planet, but the fun is in seeing how far you can go for each level, and how you can challenge yourself to break your own high score for that level.

One of the tips I can give for this game is that if the level you’re playing doesn’t have a time limit, take your time to calculate your move. If you ensure that each move you make will result in combos or special Boonies, you will have an easier time while trying to pass the level. For levels with stone walls, try to make sure each move that you have is not wasted, and try to make sure that every move breaks a wall or collects a map.

Additionally, always check twice to see what is required for you to pass the level. If the level doesn’t require you to break the stone walls to pass it, do not bother to break them. Instead, focus your efforts on the parts that are required to finish the level, for example, collecting the map pieces.

The best way to truly understand how adorable, cute, vibrant and fun the game is will be to play it. The best part is that you don’t need to pay a single cent to start playing this game, just download it off the app store, and you can start.

Boonie Rescue Review

boonie-rescue-cheats-hack-4

While Boonie Rescue is a fun game, it is lacking in certain areas. While players who also utilise MovieStarPlanet will be able to benefit from the coin and fame, other players have no additional benefit. Additionally, if you prefer games with more a wider range of activities or a bigger variety of puzzles, Boonie Rescue is not suitable for you, since it is a Match 3 game and all the levels are just variations of each other.

Furthermore, it also might not appeal to players who prefer to interact with others when they play their games. A lack of a multi-player option might be off putting to certain players. On the other hand, players who like flying solo will be more inclined to play this game.

Ratings

Artwork:

The artwork in Boonie Rescue is a 10/10.

The boonies in this game are obviously the same artwork as the ones from Boonie Planet and Movie Star Planet so there wasn’t really too much where the company could have gone wrong in making these characters as the body and what not was already there, they just needed to implement it into a separate game. Just the little space Boonie is a good indication that this game is going to be super cute for the artwork as well, as space suits on furry animals look adorable no matter how they are played.

Also the switching of the Boonies when you match them up as a 4/5 of a kind is very good as well and it just adds an extra level of “cuteness” to them. The artwork at the end of a level where they fly into a spaceship is also superb. It lets you feel like you really truly helped them escape to the spaceship and now they are happy that they are flying away. The board design for matching up is also very well done, and the things that appear over them are great as well. The little furry background to the score also adds a nice touch as the game is all about the little fuzzy things that are called the boonies.

Music and Sound effects:

The music in Boonie Rescue is a solid 10/10.

Right from the start it provides the user with an idea that the game will be a simple game that is very laid back to play. The different music for the levels portion is an excellent idea. It lets the user understand that the game is also very light, and it gives another relaxing sound which is different from the first so that the game doesn’t just sound like one long looping soundtrack. The sound effects in this game are also 10/10. They are almost unnoticeable which is good for a game, but these ones you also feel like you are missing a part of the action when you turn your sound off and are without them. The sound effects of the matching and the flying into the spaceships are also an excellent touch which add greatly to the general immersion experience for the game.

Story line and Originality:

As far as I can tell there is no real story line to Boonie Rescue it just seems like the company wanted to cash in on the micro-transaction heavy match and get points type of game that is so popular today. With the title labelled as Boonie Rescue you would expect that there might be a little bit of a backstory or something as to why you are rescuing the boonies, but there wasn’t one so you get the vibe that it is sort of a cash grab. As for originality I would have to give Boonie Rescue a 3/10.

The game is unoriginal as there are (like I said before) just so many types of this game available to download, the only reason that this receives the rating of three is because they put their touch of the Boonies into the game. Other than the Boonies being in the game it logistically feels like any other mobile matching game that is out there. The only reason that people would download this one opposed to others that are out there and available is if they have played Movie Star Planet or if they thought that the cute fuzzy things were a good touch to the game.

Gameplay:

The gameplay in Boonie Rescue is a 9/10.

The intertwined gameplay with Movie Star Planet is a good feature, as movie star planet players who might want to get a few extra coins or experience levels can connect to this and make themselves that little extra chunk of change for something to buy. This game really feels like the company from movie star planets take on The Candy Crush saga brand of video games, as the matching up sets for points and so on and so forth type of game has become exceedingly popular and fun to play (especially on mobile devices).

To start off with though, the gameplay seems to be simple enough for the target audience and the tutorial introduces the game concept exceptionally well. It shows you what the combinations do, and if you get the “t” design and a five in a row you get the special type of Boonie. If you have two of those special type next to each other they can be connected for bonus effects of clearing the board and creating extra points for the player. The collecting of the map pieces is an innovative idea, but if you have your sole focus on that aspect of the game then you almost always are coming up just short of the 3 stars with a score only good enough for two stars.

There might be the rare time that you get the 3 stars, but for the first 5 map levels I played I was only lucky enough to get it twice. Although the core portion of the game and others like it are based around luck (lucky enough to get the correct colours falling in from the top) it doesn’t really give you the best feeling when you fail at the level because you simply played it too well to get the full 3 stars on it. I strongly dislike the levels where your score is based on the time limit of the level simply because the timer on the level for this game doesn’t pause to let all the animations go through. I think that once you make your action that the timer should stop until all the animations are finished, that way you can get the most amount of time played and moves in. For my first timed game I think I maybe lost around fifteen seconds from the animations simply because they took so long.

Although, I was earning points from them I couldn’t really make a choice for my next move after the animations were finished (which led to me only receiving a two star score) and it felt like a huge drawback to the timed game mode. Something that I enjoyed about the game was the fact that I did not see a single ad, now I understand that this game was made by a huge company which owns other games but it wouldn’t hurt to get a little more revenue from some of the non-intrusive ads. A perfect place to put these ads would just be on top of the end score sheet where you only have to push an extra once or twice to see your score and then go onto to the next level.

Addictiveness:

I would give Boonie Rescue a 10/10 for addictiveness.

As with any other matching game these games take no time at all and are jsut sitting there waiting to be played when the user has an extra few minutes on hand. If the user has more than a few minutes and really gets into the game there are the micro-transactions which is a small cost that can add up to a larger one but allows the user to gain more playing time while feeling like it costs nothing. This game is perfect to play as a casual matching up player as it takes no time dedication and can be played easily while waiting somewhere for a friend or so or even maybe playing in the back of a taxi on the way to work. This game has great potential to it to become even more addictive (if a story line or something big was added) and to become a real powerhouse.

Overall rating:

I would give Boonie Rescue an 8/10 for the overall rating.

Overall, Boonie Rescue was a fun type of matching up, but it really felt like the developers had made it simply to get the extra cash that a micro-transaction heavy game brings to the table. Something that would boost the overall rating would be to add a storyline to why the Boonies are being/need to be rescued from outer space planets. Other than that though, the game is almost flawless (except for the timed levels) and is an incredibly addictive fun to play game that requires little thought.

The game also has it’s upside in the fact that of reaching a certain level you can sync up your account with Movie Star Planet and earn extra coins and experience from in the other game as well. So you are technically playing two games at once while simply matching up the boonies in one. This game has great potential and I expect to see many more great things that come out of this game and that come out of the Movie Star Planet group of games.
