After you have turned on Airplane Mode, you can start Real Basketball and you will notice that there are no more advertisements. This way, you can play Real Basketball whenever you want and for however long you want, which is very nice. However, you are required to pay gold coins, before you are able to participate in an online match.
Unfortunately, Real Basketball also has several negative aspects. For starters, the developers of Real Basketball have implemented a lot of advertisements into the game. The advertisements come in the form of banners and pop-ups, which seem to show up exactly when you are about to tap on the screen. This makes it feel like the developers are trying to trick you into accidently tapping on the advertisements, just so that they can earn some money. If this is true, than Real Basketball is a real cheap cash grab and the developers should feel ashamed for trying to trick people into tapping on the advertisements.
The worst part about the advertisements in Real Basketball is that if you accidently do tap on one of them, the game will minimalize itself and your browser will start up, redirecting you to the website of the advertiser. This is very annoying and obstructive, and the developers of Real Basketball should definitely change the way of implementing advertisements into their game.
The second negative aspect about Real Basketball is the fact that you can quickly lose all of your gold coins, which means that you will not be able to play in the online game mode anymore, unless you purchase or earn more gold coins. Earning gold coins might sound easy, but collecting a lot of them takes a long time and the developers know this. It feels like they have done this on purpose, just to make people purchase gold coins with real money.
The fact that changing your basketballs, outfits and the looks of your character also costs gold coins, is simply absurd. All of these things are purely to change the appearance of the game, which means that they do not give you any boosters or power-ups when you purchase a new outfit or ball. I believe that the players should be able to earn all of the items in the in-game store by simply playing the game.

Artwork: I give Real Basketball an 8/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Real Basketball are very decent and realistic, especially considering that it is a free-to-play mobile game. It is very nice to see that the developers have taken their time in 2016 when it comes to designing all of the different basketball players, outfits, balls and courts. There are several realistic animations and nice special effects in Real Basketball as well, which make the gameplay more entertaining. The developers have done a great job at combining the graphics with the animations of the game.
Music & SFX: I give Real Basketball an 8/10 for its music and SFX. There are several different soundtracks and many different sound effects in Real Basketball, which are all of decent quality. I really like the fact that the sound effects are realistic, such as when you shoot the basketball and hit the hoop or when you hear the crowd cheering. I like the fact that the soundtracks change their pace, depending on where you are in the game. Both the soundtracks and sound effects are easy on the ears, which means that they will not bother you while you are playing.
Story & Originality: I give Real Basketball an 8/10 for its story and originality. I really like the fact that the developers of Real Basketball have taken their own approach when it came to designing and developing games. Real Basketball has several features in it, which I have not seen before in any other sports game, except for the games of the same developer, of course.
It is very nice to see that Real Basketball has multiple single player game modes and even a multiplayer game mode, if you feel like playing basketball matches against other random players around the world. The game does not have a real backstory, but a sports / basketball game does not really need one anyways. It is very easy to make one up as you play the game.
General Gameplay: I give Real Basketball an 8/10 for general gameplay. When you first start playing Real Basketball, you will be prompted if you would like to go through a tutorial. I think it is very nice that the developers give you the option to decline going through a tutorial, even if the tutorial is very much needed. In the tutorial, you will learn how to properly play the game, how to use the controls and how to score points.
After a while, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward, but still very entertaining and exciting to play due to all of the different single player game modes and the online multiplayer game mode. The controls in Real Basketball are smooth and responsive, which is very much needed in a game where you need to aim a lot. The user interface is crisp and clear, allowing you to easily navigate through the game.
Addictiveness: I give Real Basketball a 7/10 for addictiveness. It is very fortunate to see that Real Basketball does not have any playtime limitations implemented in it, which means that you can play the game whenever you want and for however long you want. The only obstacle in Real Basketball is that you need a certain amount of gold coins, in order to be able to participate in online matches against other random players around the world.
This means that you have to play the single player game mode a lot and save up gold coins as much as you can. If there were no advertisements in Real Basketball, I could imagine it being much more addictive than it is right now, because the advertisements are fairly annoying and obstructive to the gameplay.
