As a closet fan of the game Injustice, I’ve always been prone to enjoying these kinds of games. So when I heard that Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios had partnered up with the WWE, I waited impatiently for the results. I was highly intrigued by the idea of Injustice with big muscly wrestlers thrown in.
I was somewhat disappointed to find that really that’s all the game ended up being, a rehash of the original Injustice game, with merely one distinguishing difference of the wrestlers. While I can’t really say that this is a formula that fails them, it still leaves a whole lot to be desired by fans like me. The game seriously lacks in substance, which is something that can makes a game like this fail to attract the attention it desires. On the other hands, the game definitely offers a solid baseline which it can build on as it progresses. Hopefully, in the future, the developers will add more content of substance.
The game starts off with a brief explanatory scene to explain the background story of the game. A feature which is very unusual for a game of this type, and I do not complain about this refreshing change. It’s something about some bad guys stealing a magic lamp of some kind (no this isn’t Aladdin…). Once you’ve finished watching the cinematic sequence, you are [prompted to begin playing the game.
One of the best things that I immediately took notice of when I started playing the game was the immaculate character design. The developers certainly did an amazing job at creating brand new versions of already established WWE stars. Because the characters within the game are in no way bound to their real life counterparts, you can have, multiple variations of each characters, showing differing powers and abilities.
Because this game is a brand new release, it doesn’t have a whole ton of content as of yet, but you can definitely see that there are big plans for the future of this game. As of right now, the playable character list is not very huge, but they are certainly going to be adding more characters in future updates.
Immortal credits are one of the most important resources in the game because they can be used to purchase new characters, items, and lots of other things. Stamina is also very important because you need it to survive during your matches. Unfortunately WWE Immortals charges money to get extra credits but luckily for you, we have a hack for that!
The WWE Immortals hack tool will let you add an unlimited amount of immortal credits, stamina, and materials to your account for free. The hack is available for download here at AppGameCheats and works for both Android and iOS devices. First download the hack and then it will automatically install onto your device. You can then select from the options menu pictured below.
Once you download the hack tool, first you have to choose what kind of device you’re using to play the game, either iOS or Android. Tap the “connect” button to link the hack tool to your device. Now just type in the amount of immortal credits you want to add. You can also check the boxes to add unlimited stamina and materials to your account.
To begin the hack, just tap the “Start” button. The WWE Immortals hack only takes about 20 seconds to finish and the tool will tell you when it’s complete. Open your WWE Immortals app and you’ll see that the immortal credits, stamina, and materials have been added to your account. Now you can unlock any character in the game, purchase any item, and never run out of stamina – without ever having to spend money!
Your wrestlers are split up in terms of Bronze heroes, Silver heroes and Gold heroes. Whichever color tier your character lands in determines the power and strength of your hero. Bronze heroes being the weaker, whilst Gold heroes are the strongest of the characters you are able to have. Battling with your heroes will gain them experience which will contribute to what level they stand at, gain enough experience and your hero will gain a level, you know the drill.
The game in itself is basically all about gathering hero cards with the intention of battling with them and making them stronger. The game is pretty much just all grinding to hit the level you want, but it still manages to be insanely fun.
The whole method of battling pretty much matches up to that of Injustice, so if you’ve played that game before, you’ll already know what you’re doing. Fighting is just swiping in various directions and tapping your screen to do single attacks. If you’re able to chain your attacks, you will be able to pull off a special combo attack, which will deal some pretty nice damage to your opponent. Unfortunately, you have to work with your characters quite a bit to unlock their full potential, so you really aren’t as strong as you’d like to be, starting off the game.
The whole way of fighting is incredibly simple n the game, although you somehow get a ton of satisfaction from whupping ass in this simple fashion. You quickly develop a really nice sense of rhythm in the game; this really helps you with getting comfortable in how the game works, before long, finishing a battle makes you feel seriously awesome, especially if you’ve taken down your opponent really quickly.
Whilst it may seem that all you’re doing in the game is mashing buttons, you’re really doing so much more. Sure, the fighting can seem pretty pointless when you’re seriously overpowered against the weakest opponent imaginable, but you’ll find that as you play the game more, you’ll develop the strategy and perfectly timed attacks that you’ll need later on in the game. Practicing and having patience with your skills is crucial to being successful in the game.
Once you’ve played your way through the single player mode of the game, you can move on to the online multiplayer section of the game, which is full of even more brutal opponents. Like a lot of games in this genre, you don’t actually fight the player versus player battle in real time, really, you just battle a pre-set team created by another player. it’s essentially the same as in single mode, you’re just fight an AI match. Despite this, online mode still ends up being pretty fun as it provides infinite battles even after you’ve completed the single player part of the game.
I have to say that, since WWE Immortals is still running a very early version of the game, it’s hard to give a well rounded view of the game/ There aren’t a whole lot of environments or characters, nor is there a particularly huge amount of content available to play through in the main storyline part of the game, sure there’s plenty to do in terms of multiplayer, but you quickly lose interest in this as it’s hard to repeatedly do the same thing if you’re not reaching some kind of story conclusion or anything, sometimes the story to a game is really what makes it and it’s just a shame when a game doesn’t utilize its story to the fullest. Make no mistake; I do enjoy what the game does have to offer at its current point, but I know that this game could be doing so much more to attract attention, it has a lot of potential which I really hope it lives up to in the future. I’m sure that with time and feedback from players, the developers will make tons of improvements to the game, adding more contents and making sure that its players can fully take advantage of the game as a whole.
For the time being, WWE Immortals is a great new addition to the genre and offers a fun new experience to those who are just fans of wrestling. Appealing to an entirely new audience is something that every game aspires to do, hopefully, this game manages to do just that. As for the future of this game, only time will tell whether it is able to gain the attentions I know it deserves. As the game is a free to play one, there is no reason why everyone shouldn’t check it, just to see whether it’s their thing or not.
WWE Immortals is currently running version 1.0.4, meaning that it is still a very early version of the game, so you should expect to encounter some bugs, just be sure to report any bugs you do notice to the appropriate channels. It is playable on at least iOS version 5.0 or later. The game is currently only available in English, making playing the game difficult for those who do not speak the language. This is however, is a very early version of the game, so other languages may be added in future updates. The game is available to download from the app store for free with the option to purchase further in app content. Currently, the game has a four and a half star rating from users on the app store, the ratings have been mostly positive however does still have a few negative responses to the game where players have noted bugs in fighting and bad running of the game.
There are various in app purchase packages available for players to buy from the in game store. You are able to choose from six different Immortal Credit packages; a twelve thousand immortal credit package costs $1.99, a thirty six thousand immortal credit package costs $4.99 (you get a bonus six thousand credits with this package), an eighty thousand immortal credit package costs $9.99 (you get a bonus twenty thousand credits with this package), a one hundred and ninety two thousand immortal credit package costs $19.99 (you get a bonus seventy two thousand credits with this package), a five hundred thousand immortal credit package costs $49.99 ( you get a bonus two hundred thousand credits with this package) and finally and one million, one hundred thousand immortal credit package costs $99.99 ( you get a bonus five hundred thousand credits with this package). With games like this, it can be difficult to figure out exactly what you need to do in order to totally own the game. If you are the type who needs a little help, fortunately there are various working hacks currently on the market for this game which offer maxed out character levels and infinite money, making playing the game a whole lot easier. To find these hacks, all it will take is a simple Google search to find a plethora of hacks.
If you are the type that enjoys the challenge of these types of games and want to play legit but are having a hard time, I am here to save the day with tips and tricks to help you find your way through the game.
All WWE Immortal is really is a mash up of Mortal Kombat and WWE. Successfully taking your opponents down in this game will mean that you’ll need to use a mixture of attacks and defense. Initially you’ll start off by using light attacks with the quick introduction of heavy attacks. Whilst fighting, try to strike your opponent three times in a row to unlock a special attack which will deal a nice bit of damage to your opponent. When it comes to defending yourself, make sure you are prepared to do so once you have landed a special attack as this is the time when your opponent is more likely to try and get even. If you see a red exclamation mark appear above the head of your opponent, prepare to block their attacks as there will be an onslaught and if you’re not ready to defend yourself from these attacks, you could find yourself taking some pretty nasty damage.
When you’re deciding on which character you should start off with, choose carefully. The bronze cards do actually have some pretty decent fighters on offer, so I would advise using one of these; Giant Big Show, Daniel Bryan and Dark Sorceress Paige. Bryan can make some pretty nice hits against his opponents because of his high attack power, whilst Paige has a pretty cool attack which allows her to assist in the regeneration of the adrenaline of those on her team, then you have Big Show who has a pretty nifty move where his special move can get more power whist his health increases.
If you have the money, don’t hesitate to work on getting gold tiered characters, these characters will be a whole lot better than what both bronze and silver tiers have to offer. If you can have at least two full teams of gold tiered characters, you’ll find that getting through the game is made a whole lot easier for you, you’ll also definitely kick a lot of ass in multiplayer mode.
When deciding who you want to upgrade to gold or silver, take a look at the character statistics and special abilities as this will give you a good idea of which of your characters will be worth advancing and which won’t.
If you get a chance to hit your opponent with your adrenaline rush special attack, be ready, as you’ll only have a small amount of time within which you can land your character specific moves. This is where you have to work on your attack timing as you’ll have to do exactly what the game tells you to do during your special attack, if you’re not able to make the move within a split second; you’ll miss out and won’t make as much damage as you should have done.
You know those daily challenges that you see when you’re playing online multiplayer? Yeah, those, always make sure you try to complete them. Playing the game on a daily basis will make progressing through it that much easier. You end up with more credits and you’ll even have a way higher battle raing score, and you know that these will only increase even more if you make an effort to work on the daily challenges. Completing the really hard challenges seriously pay off, so don’t worry if you can’t complete the challenge on your first try, you can go for it as many times as you want until you’ve got your reward.
Once you’ve completed the single player story mode and you’re ready to move on to multiplayer, make sure that the team you pick is your strongest lineup. Leaving the game and having a mediocre team defend themselves will seriously mess up you battle rating. Sure, you may still take some pretty nasty defeats, but a strong team will also win matches for you, a fact that is more than worth the few defeats you’ll inevitably encounter.
Take note of the fact that your characters will have three different special attacks that will unlock at once you’ve gained specific levels. All of the characters that you have will initially start off with just one special move or one part of a move, hitting level five will unlock the second part and hitting level twenty will unlock the third and final part, giving you a full special attack at level twenty.
Overall, I actually really enjoy the game; I just hope that in future updates, the developers continue to add much needed content.
Artwork: I give WWE Immortals a 9/10 for its artwork. The artwork definitely leaves little to be desired, it offers a grittiness that the genre needs in its games. I also really love the cinematic sequence in the opening part of the game, it really gives the game that little bit extra that very few games in this genre has, which for me, is a really good thing.
Music and SFX: I give the game a 7/10 for its music and SFX. Personally, I found the sound effects of this game to be seriously overly stereotypical, there wasn’t anything original and they didn’t ever sound remotely realistic, something which was severely disappointing to me. The music definitely made up for where the SFX failed, it added a great atmospheric feel which really made the game in my opinion.
Story and Originality: I give the game a 7/10 for its story and originality. Now we all know for a fact that there really isn’t a whole lot that is at all original in this game. It takes from popular games such as Injustice and Mortal Kombat, games that have been met with serious success, something that I’m sure this game wanted to reciprocate, whether or not they’ll get that kind of success is another story. I love the fact that WWE Immortals incorporated a story into the action of the game, personally I feel that having a story behind the game makes it that much better and makes it feel more as though it has a purpose.
General Gameplay: I give the game a 7/10 for its general gameplay. The general gameplay within this game is easy enough to grasp, however, since the current version is still a very early version, you’re inevitably going to run into bugs that cause problems in everything from loading up the game to the actual fighting part of the game. Only time will tell whether this game is really worth the effort of playing it.
Addictiveness: I give the game a 6/10 for its addictiveness. I can definitely see how a person might get seriously addicted to this game, unraveling a story is always something that has attracted me and the fact that even after you’re done with the main storyline you still have plenty to do is something that I find majorly appealing. On the other hand though, you can only keep doing the same thing over and over so much before it gets seriously boring. My advice to the developers in this regard would be to add more content to the main storyline part of the game, or even offer multiple different plots that they players can work though to prevent them from getting burnt out by the game.
Overall, I give WWE Immortals 7/10. A valiant effort for this new game.
