This is a free prequel to the Forever Lost games, and it tells Alice’s (Jason’s wife) story. Click on the images to enlarge them. You can also watch the video walkthrough here:
1. Tap on the counter in middle of the room. Look at the pet rock and the yellow circle (a clue) and read the letter from Jason.
2. Solve the Simon Says puzzle to unlock the drawer and get a key.
3. Go to the table in the corner. Notice the painting on the wall and remember what is says when you tap on it. There’s another yellow smiley face here. Pick up the capful of cleaning fluid and read the letter from Jason.
4. Notice that Jason was supposed to fix these windows. Also, grab a screenshot of them both together.
5. There’s an open door to the right. Go through to the bedroom. Use the cleaning fluid on the finger painting on the floor to reveal three numbers.
6. Turn to the shelves. Notice the wooden box with some colored buttons on it. Also, a typewriter with Jason’s full name on it.
7. There’s another smiley face clue and some black marbles. Take the marbles.
8. There’s a puzzle on the night table drawer. Remember the windows in the main room? Jason never fixed them so they’re broken. Take a look at them and press the buttons opposite of what the windows look like (since they’re broken). Take the pliers from inside the drawer.
9. Go to the desk in the corner and take the piece of paper. Ignore the computer for now (or take a look if you’re curious).
10. Now to open the door next to the desk. The code is the numbers from the finger painting. Hold your finger down on each fingerprint to change the numbers. Once it unlocks, go inside and take the ladder. The bulb for the lamp is missing, so you can’t do anything else in there right now.
11. Before you leave the bedroom, look under the bed for another smiley face clue. Also, take the box of matches.
12. Go back to the main room and look in the left corner beyond the fireplace. There’s a white puzzle here with spherical grooves in it. Places the black marbles onto the puzzle. We’ll come back to it later.
13. Read the book on the counter to see a a clue. Also open the drawer to see another clue, a magazine called “Size Matters.”
14. Use the key you have to unlock the locked cabinet here and access this puzzle. We have everything we need in order to solve it. Remember the smiley faces? Once you solve the puzzle, take the wooden cross.
15. Use the ladder to go upstairs. Look at the dominoes game (take a photo) and pick up the wooden dial.
16. Take a look at the drawing on the wall.
17. Go back downstairs and find the pet rock again. Rip out one of its eyes with the pliers. Drop it in the inkwell on the desk in the bedroom to paint it black. Then place it with the other black marbles and solve the puzzle to get another wooden cross.
18. Go back downstairs and into the bedroom. There’s a locked box on one of the shelves that needs a 5-digit code to unlock it. Solve the math equation from earlier and use all five numbers as the code.
19. Inside the box are four different powders. Take them all. They’re labeled in your inventory.
20. Go to the fireplace. Notice the box on the mantel that says “USE A HAMMER ON THE BOX.” We’ll come back to it later. For now, put the paper over the logs and light it with the matches.
21. Now, throw each powder into the fire and remember which number applies to each color.
22. Go back to the bedroom. We’re going to open the wooden box on the night table. Using the colors from the fire and the sizes from the magazine cover (Size Matters!), work out which buttons are which colors. Then take the wooden cross and bulb from inside.
23. Go into the dark room with the stars. Put the backlight UV bulb into the lamp and turn it on. Then get a close-up look at the starry wall to see a constellation.
24. Go back to the bedroom. Place the wooden dial along with the others above the bed and use the constellation to solve the dial puzzle. Take another wooden cross.
25. We only have one more wooden cross to get, and it’s in that box above the fireplace.
26. Go to the computer in the bedroom. On the login screen, choose “Forgotten Password” and then “Security Questions.”
27. What’s your husband’s middle name? That’s Jason, and his full name is on the typewriter:
28. What was the name of your first pet? The answer is on the drawing upstairs.
29. What is your favorite holiday location? This answer was on the painting downstairs.
30. The password has now been reset to “monkey.” Login and read the files.
31. Now, remember what it says on the box above the fireplace? “USE A HAMMER ON THE BOX.” There’s a box on the computer screen (Think outside the box). There’s also a hammer, part of the “Settings” icon. Drag the hammer to box and then check the fireplace. The box will be open and you can get the last wooden cross.
32. Place all the wooden crosses in the box in the upper left corner of the main room. Take the key from inside and use it to unlock the door to outside. Congratulations! You escaped the cabin!
