Click here to read morePanda Pop, the sequel to one of SGN’s biggest Panda Jam puzzling hit, has made its way from the world of social media to iOS devices. Saving those little cutesy panda in their bubble prisons means you’ll have to engage in some Bust-A-Move (Puzzle Bobble) gameplay.
Now that mobile game players finally have the chance to get in on the Panda Pop action, we want to make sure you become masters in the art of freeing your panda companions. The developers of the game want to help out too, so they made sure to bless you with 10 essential tips/tricks/cheats.
With this guide in (mobile) hand, you’ll be clearing bubbles and unlocking more pandas in no time!
As you start the game, don’t worry about leftover bubbles on the game board. Saving those baby pandas is what matters. It’s OK if there are bubbles left at the end of each level. But, you can’t just leave those babies to fend for themselves.
Improve your aim before shooting a bubble by pressing the game board and dragging left or right to aim. Then release the bubble. This will give you a more accurate aim, instead of just pointing and shooting. Pulling the aimer back towards the Mama Panda will cancel your aim.
Various achievements earn you bonuses like extra lives and free power-ups. These can help you complete more difficult levels and progress faster. For example, playing the game two days in a row earns you a free power-up. Earning 50 stars earns you a free heart.
Color-changing bubbles become obstacles in the game’s higher levels. However, if you pay careful attention, they change colors in a particular, repeating sequence. Master those sequences and move ahead!
Some game items appear to be obstacles but can actually be used to the player’s advantage. For example, if you have a colored ball you do not want to immediately use, aim it at one of the spiked balls to pop and eliminate it.
