Be wary of the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz who will try use his inventions such as his Cool-inator to turn your water into steam, ice or sludge. there are also other gadgets within the levels that will either help or hinder your progress such as tubes that will spout your water across the map should it fall in. Where’s My Perry? comes to us from the ultimate kids entertainers, Disney. Taking an already existing game and turning it into a branded re-skin is normally the lowest form of mobile game development. It’s cheap, easy, and sometimes the new brand can revitalise a game and find it a new audience that it never had a chance of accessing otherwise. But when Disney do it, the normally put a bit of polish into their products before lending their names and likenesses to the game.

Where’s My Perry? is yes, pretty much a straight up re-skin of Where’s My Water? but does that mean it’s bad? Quite the opposite actually. Where’s My Perry? thrives in all of the aspects that you would expect Disney to thrive on, like character design, dialogue and sound effects, and thrives in others that you wouldn’t exactly expect, general gameplay and developing for the mobile market being some of them. And even though Where’s My Perry?’s free version doesn’t give players the full go, I’m just glad that none of the things that have defined freemium games is present, like having to choose between paying to speed things up or grinding for an absurdly long time.

The high quality voice acting was great to hear, and I’m sure will be enjoyed by fans of the show and new fans alike, with playful banter between characters during the many level introductions.. If you are inactive for a while a character will urge you to hurry up as there is a time bonus included in your final level score. Features like this are normally just developers having some quirky fun, but it can get on your nerves in Where’s My Perry? Thankfully, there is an option to turn these off in the sound settings.

In the end, Where’s My Perry? enjoys the benefits of the Disney brand name, the strong characters being a main one, and although being a re-skin of an existing game, comes out still looking as good as ever. Where’s My Perry? isn’t trying to compete with Where’s My Water?, it’s just a little adventure for anyone looking for some Phineas and Ferb themed fun on their phone.
