If you just can’t wait any longer for some Mortal Kombat X, you’ll be happy to know that the Mortal Kombat X mobile game is now available for the first time ever on iOS and is coming soon to Android, a week before the fighting game hits consoles and PC.

Mortal Kombat X was developed internally by NetherRealm Studios and will have “striking graphics” unlike any we’ve seen in a mobile game to date. Judging by the mobile game trailer above, it looks like it is going to be the goriest mobile game to date, as well. Mortal Kombat X mobilie will feature all of the over-the-top fighting game mechanics that are hallmarks of the franchise.

The game will blend traditional fighting with card collecting, similar to what WWE Immortals did. The game will feature more than 24 characters, including Sub-Zero, Raiden and Cassie Cage. The Mortal Kombat X mobile game is free-to-play, which likely means players will unlock new items and Fatalities through gameplay or spending their money where they see fit.

Mortal Kombat X can be downloaded right now via iTunes, with a Google Play version soon to come. For now, check out our review of the console version.
