Question: How many chapters UTIII SP campaign contain?
Answer: There are 5 chapters.
Question: In guide I see next battle on map X but in briefing room I can choose between map X and Y.
Answer: Author wrote that guide without any map selection.
Question: How should I understand "Difficulty" in battle description?
Answer: Game guide was made for inexperienced players. If I described fight as "Very easy", it means that defeat is almost impossible. "Medium" difficulty requires some tactic from player. "Very Hard" level is most exacting one, but demand really high skills and reflex.
Question: Which battle description pertains to numbered screen?
Answer: Part marked as [1] pertains to screen on the left and [2] to right. If there are more pictures, you should spot [3] and [4] for lower row.
Question: I completed whole campaign, but I didn't unlock all characters. What's going on?
Answer: Unlocking all characters requires 3-4 attempts. Game has more than 100 unique fights.
Question: In Warfare mode my core takes damage, while I have all nodes. What I should to do?
Answer: Read carefully all hints on loading screen before match. Seek for information about alternative method to blast the core.
Question: Game is too hard for me!
Answer: While reading this guide, you won't gain great reflex. Choose lower bots skill and practice.
Question: After winning I collect card. When I should use it?
Answer: I give you free will. In guide, I put hints where I used (and which) cards, but I won't force to do it in same way.
Mode: Deathmatch
Enemy: Jester
Requirements: 10 kills
Difficulty: Very Easy
Map: Rising Sun
Description: First fight in fact. It's admission to real challenge. Jester will help Reaper to restore his outstanding skills. At beginning try to be obedient and do what voice will order. Now it's time to move into main area. Duel is pretty simple. You shouldn't lose it at all. If you found yourself confused, just check place near fence in left side. There's a Rocket Launcher [1]. Go under the temple and collect Armor [2]. After that, you should control both places. Extra health is on the top by the way...
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 40 kills
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Shangrila
Description: First, sharp battle on larger map. Visit distant corridors and patios to collect Armors and Rocket Launcher [1]. Make sure you'll avoid first floor and sniper rifle beneath rooftop. It's useless weapon on this stage. I recommend Flak Cannon or Minigun. On statute, in central point of map you'll see a Bonus (Damage Amplifier) [2].
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Reflection
Description: It's specific map, because carrying enemy flag to your flag is quite easy. In the other hand, you can lose it in short time. The person who gives your team advantage, it's YOU! Bots are muppets and they escapes form hot area with flag very, very slowly. Use Rocket Launchers and Flak Cannons located on sideways [1]. Next good idea is to move very quickly on lower floors [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 3)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Very Easy
Map: Sinkhole
Description: At start watch tutorial movie which explain everything about Warfare mode. There are fewer enemies than your team. Also you can only use Manta [1], but you will not get through directly to the core. Just cover central node. Build it as quick as you can and don't let enemy down you. After all attack main core with Flak Cannon [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Market Disctrict
Description: Battle takes place in abandoned market area. Here you will examine yourself in hover boarding and using orb. Check your manual to see what these gadgets offer. Orb could be destroyed with E key (In clone distance) and it's sometimes necessary to cut enemy from orb present. Map is not large, but you must remember about central node [1]. He's expose form every side and distance from him to core is short. Try to keep him in your control. Use hover board to transport orb [2] and build spawn.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Very Easy
Map: Tankcrossing
Description: VERY strange map, which can be completed in 2 minutes (or less). Leave tank and use Scorpion to defend central node [1] (near bridge). It's important to give bots free will, they are great as tank gunners. You should handle enemies and protect spawn [2]. Action has 3 phases. At first - tank must run through bridge. Secondary - he must stop on balance just in front of enemy base. And then door to core are open. Situation could be complicated if you let enemy to build node.
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: East
Map: Kargo
Description: Map has one, short tunnel to centre and underground road system [1]. Rocket Launcher could be very helpful at this time. Also check other recess for extra Armor [2]. It could be a long game, but there is a small, useful trick. Take Scorpion and jump to second part of the map [3]. On higher floor, at left side there's a Status Field. Gain it and drop in underground tunnel [4]. Grab hover board and run for flag. After every larceny, use Statis Field to escape from hot area. Why? Well, opponents will chase you and Stasis Field will stop them for couple seconds. It'll give you an opportunity to carry enemy flag to your base safely.
ATTENTION! After fight, you will receive card called "Tactic Advantage" (-2 units in enemy team).
Mode: Capture the Flag (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Hydrosis
Description: Two bases built on both sides of small bridge - this is Hydrosis. On central part we can visit small watch tower with Sniper Rafle [1] - handy weapon if you want secure your flag carrier. But in fact, most exacting thing is flag location. Tunnels with a lot of bends, curves won't help you. Just make sure, you choose left entrance. Run through corridors should end with flag room [2]. Use Bio Rifle or Flak Cannon to beat enemies.
Mode: Warfare (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Torlan
Description: I used "Tactic Advantage" In this map. I cut down enemy offensive. Most important thing is to use Manta for faster transport. Use vehicle and build first two nodes [1]. Just next to nodes you can notice teleports. We can use them to transport themselves to the other nodes. If you selected card, battle should be easy. Manta is great choice to attack core [2]. Goliath and Raptor also could be taking into consideration.
Mode: Capture the Flag (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Suspense
Description: Tight map with two-line road between bases and more roads below area. Goliath and Manta are great choices but do not forget about Redeemer in the pit [1], under bridge. Manta abilities will not let enemy tank to beat your team members [2]. Small hint: bots are unlikely to escape with flag on hover board and they are always disembarking vehicle in some distance from flag. On the landing stage behind spawn you should search for Rocket Launcher [3]. In adding - hover board doesn't work on the water, so choose alternative roads to escape with enemy flag [4].
Mode: Warfare (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Serenity
Description: Using Leviathan is essential part of this mission. You prize him in neutral, eastern node [1]. Vehicle respawn takes some time, but he'll give you more power in battlefield. Capture central spawn and hold it with Leviathan (also do it with other nodes) [2]. When your boys seize another one, drive it to the core [3]. Transform into cannon-mode and fire at will. 5 punctual shots will destroy core [4].
Mode: Warfare (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Downtown
Description: This abandoned district is full of streets, parks and tight placed nodes. At start use orb and build first two spawns. Larger battle could be in central area. Fourth node is placed near sewers [1]. Main core is in well defended building [2]. There's enemy spawn so shoot to core until they'll kill you. Very important - try to beat enemy orb carrier, but don't destroy the orb. Just secure him from being taken and watch your central and fourth node.
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Defiance
Description: Easy one. Two most strategic places are: Rocket Launcher on the second floor of right building [1] and extra Armor in draining canal [2]. Just behind Armor you'll see extra Health and stairs to ASMD weapon and ammo.
ATTENTION! After fight, you will receive card called "Iron Guard" (+2 units from Iron Guard Team in your team).
Mode: Capture the Flag (5 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Kargo
Description: Kargo is back. Description from 7th battle is still up-to-date, because it's the same map with same weapons. Only change is Goliath present and Redeemer near Stasis Field [1]. Enemy uses all vehicles and gameplay is a bit faster than before. Tactic is the same - stealth with hover board [2].
Mode: Warfare (6 vs 7)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Hard
Map: Torlan
Description: Final battle of second chapter. We have Leviathan, Necris Team has all best vehicles in theirs weaponry - Darkwalker, Vipers etc. [1]. Mission is hard and honestly - I won after extra time. Enemy has advantage from early beginning and if we'll seize first node quickly, it won't be so bad. After that, bring your Leviathan to the central node [2]. Put him in right place (you should see further part of map) and secure spawn! Slaughter everything you'll point in your scope [3]. Then use your orb and build fourth node. It will bemuse Necris Team. Still defend your central node [4]. If you feel confident, think about enemy core. Good luck.
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Arsenal
Description: Very dark and curved map. Achievieng a Damage Amplifier [1] requires Jump Boots which are not easy accessible at all - seek them between floor and elevator. ASMD and Flak Cannon are basic weapons, but in one of corridors near yard you can get Rocket Launcher [2].
ATTENTION! After fight, you will receive card called "Heavy Armor" (more HP points in vehicles).
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Heatray
Description: Use on road pillows to jump on higher floors in buildings and take by surprise opponents [1]. Nevertheless, you may need street fight to gain an advantage. On the right side of district you will see a Rocket Launcher [2], but from time to time you should consider ASMD rifle. This is not a though battle, just run with the team and kills enemy dips.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Dusk
Description: This map is similar to Tankcrossing. There's one reasonable tactic - take your orb and build power nodes on one flank (one flank!) [1]. Come clone to enemy core, take Manta and make some slaughter in their base. Think about Goliath - he's so powerful and could be a good choice [2], but repair it if needed. Repeat this maneuver until they destroy one of your nodes. Take your orb and... you know what to do.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Powersurge
Description: There's something interesting with this map - you can attack core without capturing all spawns. Two of them are extra and hide some vehicles. But in fact, basic Goliath tank should be enough [1]. Fight for first and second node (including central spawn) and run to the fourth node [2]. Try to build it and transport yourself to space near enemy base. In small window at second floor you should notice power core.
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 5 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Coret
Description: Though fight! Map is veeery tight, with one main corridor and two long flanks. Flag is placed in well defended hall, so run immediately if you steal one. Secure main corridor in your zone [1] and their [2]. Best weapon choice is Flak Cannon.
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Heatray
Description: Darkwalker presence is a big problem for your team [1]. It's deadly weapon (you should know it after Torlan battle). Flash on it and eliminate. Check yard area and grab the Helmet [2] and Bio Rifle. Also look for Rocket Launcher in one of entrances in building.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Islander
Description: Small map, with one node and one extra spawn. Take your orb and build power node in centre (do it quickly!), then attack the core [1]. Don't get close because core is surrounded with electrical force field, just above the water. If you lose your supremacy, look for Raptor land pad and use one of them to lock opponents in main base [2].
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 5 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Strident
Description: Fantastic and fiddly location. Flag is placed on unstable platform which change floor from time to time [1]. To better understand just use jump pad near flag. Defense is slightly easier than attack, although seek for Minigun or Flak Cannon. While stealing enemy flag change your position with pad - it makes opponents confused. In corridor, at middle part of map grab Shield Belt [2].
ATTENTION! After fight, you will receive card called "Liandri Support" (+2 Liandri units in your team).
Mode: Team Deathmatch (2 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 40 kills
Difficulty: Hard
Map: Gateway
Description: Wow! Final battle of third chapter takes place on specific, Gateway map. It's 3 in 1 map, because you can teleport yourself to other dimensions by gates [1]. You'll visit jungle environment, base covered by ice and futuristic tower. Most intensive fights are on tower [2], but jungle contains best bonuses. You'll find Rocket Launcher and Armor near waterfall [3], also looks for jump BOOT in tunnel [4]. You can use "Liandri Support" card but I've won without it.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Islander
Description: Necris Team has big advantage. We haven't any vehicles, they have Darwalker. Build central node and take Raptor [1] and kill opponents from air. In the meantime your team will fight for next node, so disembark from Raptor and attack enemy core. Necris will activate Darkwalker, but scorn it and shoot main core [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Easy
Map: Market Disctrict
Description: Everything looks the same like in Battle 5. Don't let enemy to build node with orb. Control it and attack core with Link Gun.
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Shangrali
Description: Map from second battle. Damage Amplifier is very helpful at this time [1]. Try to remember location of Rocket Launcher and Armor [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Hard
Map: Corruption
Description: "Liandri Support" card is great deal for you on this map. Necris has a lot of vehicles. Take advantage of hover board speed and transport flag through the caves [1]. Right road lead to water wheel - watch out! Same way but in reverse direction is good choice while escaping with enemy flag. Don't let opponents to activate Darwalker [2]! If they achieve it, you'll be doomed for couple minutes. Near small shrines you'll find extra Armors.
Mode: Warfare (2 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 40 kills
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Deck
Description: Best Unreal map is back! There's 5 hints at all. First - main area is system of tight bridges and acid below [1] - swimming is prohibited. Secondary, in depot, under elevator you'll rearm with Rocket Launcher [2]. Thirdly, catch health and ammo under balcony [3]. Four - at left side of elevator grab the Armor [4]. Five, go to highest floor and then on left side you'll see bonus.
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Very Hard
Map: Torlan
Description: Necris Team has best vehicles. We have only few Manta's and Scorpions. Nevertheless, you are still able to build nodes, right? Go to Manta and drive it to the nearest node. It will allow you to attack central spawn and next one. 2 nodes will left so attack them [1]. How to destroy the core? Use Manta [2]!
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Onyxcoast
Description: Using Leviathan is essential. Drive it from base and halt near the bridge [1]. Keep on track your first node and left side of the map (node will activate bridge). Drive Leviathan through the passage and eliminate every Darkwalker and Viper tramping near enemy base. Secure next node and start gun firing main core [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Very Hard
Map: Avalanche
Description: Unlikely circumstance. Enemy secured both tactical nodes. Destroying and building new one is difficult, because they're surrounded by special force field. Try to take an orb and transport him to first two spawns [1], then capture tactical nodes in caves (on both sides). You'll be able to hijack car or tank, so do it [2]. Enemy has Nemesis and Darwalker! Capturing caves is nice opportunity to lock opponents in next spawns.
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 50 kills
Difficulty: Hard
Map: Deimos
Description: Rocket Launcher is best choice on map [1] - you'll find it in outside corridor (also, check next floor and take Shield Belt!). Damage Amplifier on metal ring will affect on your confidence [2]. Don't even try to take extra health in gravity tunnel (its waste of time) [3]. Lower gravity will affect on longer jump, so use it to jump from floor to floor. In hallway there's an Armor [4]. It's the last battle in chapter IV.
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Hard
Map: OmicronDawn
Description: There are 4 passages in this level. Two on upper floor (bridges) and below (tights corridors). Rearm at base, take Armor from mine area [1] and run through watch tower [2] to Blue Team centre. Basic weapon here is Rocket Launcher - every team has adequate resources of it.
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Very Hard
Map: Sandstorm
Description: Epic, tremendous, great CTF battle, better than rest of Warfare fights. From time to time you'll be confined by sandstrom, which affect on view distance. Use Darkwalker and Viper to block enemy in small passage in the middle of map [1]. Take control of this part and run for flag - use hover board to escape through temples and ruins [2].
Mode: Team Deathmatch (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 25 kills
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Sanctuary
Description: Very fast deathmatch, where timing is most important. Take Redeemer [1] from outer platform and use him in sanctuary room, which is probably full of enemy bots - your Team will gain some points. Besides of this, look around for Flak Cannon underground. And of course you'll need Armor near altar [2].
Mode: Team Deathmatch (2 vs 2)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 40 kills
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Fearless
Description: Small location with crossing and bonus in central part of it. On the floor you will find Thigh Pads [1]. Rocket launcher is just next to it [2].
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 5)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Medium
Map: Necropolis
Description: Unbelievable cliche. Use upper path [1] and smash Necris team. Don't use Darkwalker in centre, because he's too slow for this level. Even Vipers are not agile at all here. There's one solution - hover board. If you fail, use alternative, water course [2].
ATTENTION! After fight, you will receive card called "InstaGib" - instant kill for ASMD.
Mode: Capture the Flag (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: 3 points
Difficulty: Very Hard
Map: Vertebrae
Description: Huge CTF map with wonky path system. Enemy flag is near you, you see her only through green, impassable plasma wall. Go downstairs, slide on tail and run to blue illuminated area. Use elevator and go to last floor. Run through the caves (Armor!) [1], sramble up and you should see enemy flag. Escape with flag using alternative flanks or jump from platform to other one (like Mario). Extra health is next to elevators on left side [2].
Mode: Warfare (4 vs 4)
Enemy: Necris
Requirements: Destroy enemy core
Difficulty: Hard
Map: Floodgate
Description: Prima objective is to secure extra node. In order which team captured it, enemy core will take some damage. Build it and defend it as long as you can [1]. Secondary, use your Darkwalker [2]. Kill every unit with orb and watch node areas. It should lock Necris Team in first two spawns and help you to attack core.
Mode: Deathmatch (1 vs 1)
Enemy: Akasha
Requirements: 20 kills
Difficulty: Very Hard
Map: Sentinel
Description: Final battle. Reaper takes revenge on Akasha. Task is very hard and require experienced from all battles you've played. Map is so small, that you should see all essential elements without any description. Armor is near stairs. In distant chamber you should seek for Rocket Launcher [1]. Look for Damage Amplifier below the room [2] - (crouch to do it). Is there any strategy for duel? She fights very well in some time, so take advantage at beginning. Akasha likes to grab bonus, you can take her by surprise easily. Use Rocket Launcher or Flak Cannon. After all watch cutscene and admire Reaper how he won. And of course know who the traitor is.
Cicada
Cicada is air vehicle, which contain small missile launcher. In fact, she's powerful weapon against land crafts. Use your right mouse button to lock opponent, then load few missiles and destroy ground forces. Unfortunately, Cicada is damageable with AVRIL launcher. After two shots you have to leave your Cicada or burn with her in the air.
Raptor
Next aircraft, but he's worse than Cicada. There's not so much difference between this and UT2004 version, so it's approachable. Power turret is weak weapon for infantry and tanks. In the other hand, fire-and-forget missiles are deadly for basic Necris vehicles.
Goliath
Mighty tank with great power. Basic turret is efficient against infantry near notes. Alongside driver there's a place for gunner (he operates machine gun). Big disadvantages of Goliath are speed and mobility. If we leave Goliath without Manta support, we destine him for easy death.
Hellbender
It's transport car, which looks like a Humvee. Basic weapon (for driver) is energetic turret, releasing small power spheres (like ASMD). You can create a combo-shot. Just flare up few spheres and shot to first. You'll see chain reaction and big blows for every sphere you released before. Solid armor guarantees long aliveness.
Manta
One of favorites vehicles in game. Very fast and reliable land craft, it is infantry nightmare. Thanks to windmills, you can stick just near the land, but also jump in few meters to avoid missiles. Manta has opportunity to do "pancakes" with opponents. Also it is great source of transport for more teammates. If they shoot red wisp, they'll tag along your Manta. Energetic turret is basic weapon against all Necris vehicles.
Scorpion
Quite fast unit for explore map. Built-in grenade launcher is great for infantry and other, small vehicles. Afterburner is useful if you think abort exit from hot areas. Furthermore, it's jihad-car, because if you leave car in full speed auto destruction will be activated. Crash ends with explosion.
Paladin
He looks like APC, but definitely it's defensive unit. Main weapon of Paladin is force field generator, which secures all units in several meters away. It's not a hardy one, so he's useless in intensive battles. Also he is not fast (like Goliath).
SPMA
Very slow craft, but durable. On account of weapon, we use him far, far away from battleground. It's mobile artillery. Use left mouse button to release small satellite missile, than lock enemy on the ground and start shooting. Unfortunately, if he meets Viper or Scavanger, he's doomed.
Leviathan
Huge and powerful weapon. 6000 HP, 4 single turrets, 1 big gun used by driver. He has only one disadvantage - speed. Despite of his size, his gun destroys everything in 50 meters from marked place. Extra force fields activated by side-shooters make him stronger. It show, how Leviathan is important, it's key to win.
Vehicles - Necris
Darkwalker
Darkwalker is answer to Leviathan. Big tripod with laser gun and scream generator force hover board users to avoid him. For a wonder, he's unlikely to fight against Manta's. Speed of Darkwalker is slow, so he's main target of other vehicles.
Fury
Fury is an aircraft equipped with laser turret and afterburner. His speed complicates AVRIL-users life. It's handy weapon against Goliaths and Leviathan.
Nemesis
It's very curious tank in Necris team. His quickness and rate of fire depends on guns tread. His durability is almost as good as Goliath. In practice, it's deadly weapon.
Scavanger
One of most interesting crafts in game. Scavanger puts player in small energy sphere and allows him to control three legs. Scavanger could be transformed into cannonball, which damages everything in her way. Of course, we haven't any influence on what Scavanger do, but if you train small trick with activating-deactivating ball you'll gain some offensive power on map.
Viper
Deadly, quick vehicle. I fuond him completely amazing in doing road rages. He's equipped with small laser turret, but it's not efficient weapon. He has thin armor, so use him in diversion moves.
Other vehicles
Besides of all listed craft, there are three more to describe. At first, you should meet in Warfare Mode Laser and Rocket turrets. They could be moved on bars, so use them in defense. A turret appeared after node construction or another captured strategic place. Third and last craft is Nightshade - vehicle with masking ability. He can deploy mines, force fields and stasis fields. We spot him very rarely.
