Welcome to the guide to inFamous, a sandbox game created by the guys at Sucker Punch. The game is a result of their experience gained while working on the Sly Raccoon series, where the gameplay was also pretty much about jumping across rooftops and electric poles. This time we find ourselves in Empire City - a city placed on three islands and destroyed by a mysterious explosion.
In this guide you will find a description of the main missions, maps with collectibles marked on them (Blast Shards and 32 boxes left by one of the characters) and a list of side mission. Suggestions and advices are marked brown, key words describing the missions are marked blue and the powers used at a certain moment - green.

Karma decides who you really are. During the game, you will have to choose between good and evil a dozen of times - between loyalty and dreams of might. Your choices aren't just limited to pressing a button. Their type is strictly connected to the gameplay and the powers that you will be able to use. Of course the citizens of Empire City will react differently, depending on who you are - there's quite a difference between a hero and a villain. All aspects of the moral choices will be explained during the tutorial and the powers are described in the menu which you use to buy them for the experience points gained. Thanks to this approach, you will probably want to finish the game twice: as a hero and as a bandit. It will allow you not only to hear several different dialogues, but also to collect more Trophies.
Stunts are some of the ways in which you can deal with enemies. It's good to remember what you have to do for a certain stunt, because by performing them you get additional experience points. Summing up, there are 21 stunts in the game. Here's the list:
Melee Finisher - Defeat an enemy with a melee attacks.
Highfall - Kill an enemy by throwing him off a building. Of course the Shockwave is the best for this job.
Enviro Take Down - Kill an enemy with an environmental explosion. Shoot a gas cylinder or a generator.
Flying Melee - Kill an air borne enemy with a melee attack.
Sticky bomb - Kill an enemy by sticking a shock grenade to him.
Crush - Crush an enemy with an object. Use the Shockwave on cars.
Crowd Control - Kill five enemies at once. It's easiest done by throwing a grenade into a bunch of scorpions.
Unquencheble Thirst - Transfer to 4 different grinds without touching anything else, for example a train track.
Air Strike - Kill an enemy with Lightning Bolt while jumping.
Up Close and Personal - Defeat five enemies within 30 seconds using only melee attack. The scorpions are ideal for this.
Air Sticky Bomb - Stick a grenade to an air-borne enemy - for example a flying machine.
Flying Head Shot - Headshot an air-borne enemy. Use the Shockwave to send enemies flying.
Ride The Lightning - Kill an enemy with a Precision shot while grinding on a wire.
Blast & Bolt - Throw an enemy with the Shockwave and kill him using the Lightning Bolt.
Insult To Injury - Stick a grenade to an enemy and kill him before it explodes with a Shockwave or a Precision shot.
Splash And Crash - While in the hit an enemy with lightning and then with a Thunder Drop. Use Precision in order to have more time.
Have A Nice Fall - Kill 3 enemies at once by making them fall from a high place using the Shockwave.
Suspended Sentence - Kill an air-borne enemy using the Thunder Storm.
Premature Detonation - Kill an enemy by making a Kamikaze enemy explode near them.
Right Back At Ya - Wait for an enemy to throw a grenade at you and use the Shockwave to make it fly back.
Wack A Mole - Kill a Conduit with s Thunder Drop.
The shards are leftovers of the explosion, scattered all around Empire City. By collecting them, you will be able to store more and more electricity. Beneath is a list how much shards you need to achieve another energy level.
5 shards
15 shards
20 shards
30 shards
Every next level - 30 shards
There is a given number of shards on each of the islands. There are 147 of them in the Neon District, 135 in the Labyrinth and "only" 68 in the Historic District. You can find their exact location on the maps in the other chapter of the guide.
During the game, you will be able to complete several side missions. They aren't too complicated and usually consist of defeating a group of enemies, finding a given item, destroying a vehicle or following a messenger. These missions aren't necessary to complete the game, but by completing them you will gain 100 experience points and get rid of enemy patrols from a given area. You can also complete them to get more out of the game and gain some Trophies. The goals are clearly explained every time you accept a mission, so check out each character with an exclamation mark above the head. Of course the missions are also marked on the map.
Warning: The mission-offering character often engage in fights. While they're on it, they won't be able to give you a mission. You have to clear the area for them to return to their place.
We receive side missions from characters with yellow exclamation marks above their heads. There are three side mission types in inFamous:
For a good Karma character
For an evil Karma character
For both types
Walk the Dogs
In this mission you have to transport some convicts to the prison located in the Labyrinth. The prisoners will calmly walk in line, but from time to time one of them can try to escape or even attack you. Some lightning will teach him a lesson. Also keep a look out for other gang members trying to break free their comrades.
Tough Collar
You have to catch a tall Reaper dressed in white, who's using super powers. Once you bring him down to the ground, you only have to bind him.
Officer Down
You have to find the cop's killers. Just like during the main missions, follow the echo of a running man. It will bring to a place where Reapers are fighting with some cops. Kill the attackers.
Fan Club
There is a parade near the park in the Neon District. You mission is to protect the participants. Once the Reapers show up, keep an eye for the ones with rocket launchers - eliminate them first. Once you get rid of the threat together with the cops, the mission will end successfully.
Containment
Some Dustmen managed to get out of their cells, although they still are on the prison's territory. They have taken over one of the roofs. You have to climb the building and take care of all the fugitives.
Rat's Nest
The Dustmen have taken over one of the buildings in the city. You have to climb it and destroy the ventilation system. If you manage to do that, a big group of enemies will run to the street. There's nothing left but to shoot them.
Cops and Robbers
In this mission you will have to defend a police station together with some cops. Destroying some cars so that you can hide behind them can be very helpful in completing this mission. The mission will end after you eliminate all the enemies.
Walking Wounded
Fifteen citizens are in need of your help. You have to protect them from enemies on the way to the nearest clinic. However, it will turn out that the hospital has been taken over and the crew killed by the enemy. Lead everyone to the other place showed on the map, while defending from the enemies. Once you get to the destination, the police will take care of the wounded.
Angry Mob
A parade against your evil deeds is being organized near the park in the Neon District. Your job is to attack the participants and the cops defending them.
Dirty Job
You have been hired to get rid of the man in the picture. He's dressed in yellow and hangs out somewhere on Archer Square. After completing the task, go back to the "employer".
Hit Squad
A SWAT team has been sent against you in the Neon District. Kill the whole unit.
No Forgiveness
The cops have set up a trap. Kill every policeman that you see in the area.
Rampage
Your task is to get the cop's attention. Start devastating the streets, attack pedestrians and they should arrive shortly. Afterwards your task will be to eliminate all of them.
Death March
This mission is very similar to Walk the Dogs. Begin escorting the prisoners to the destination, but instead of giving handing them over to the prison, just murder them after getting to the spot marked on the map.
New Friends
You have to free some Reapers being held in the prison. Fight your way through the security and go to the room with the generator. Suck out the power and the mission will end.
Night on the Town
You will be invited to two Dustmen gathering places. Kill all the participants and the mission will end.
Minions
Execute Sasha's orders and wait for the Dustmen to arrive. Once they show up, kill all of them using the grenades.
Stick It to the Man
Your task is to destroy a police station. Some gang members with super powers will help you out. Get rid of all the defenders to complete the mission.
Counter-Surveillance
You will be asked to destroy some surveillance devices attached to a building. Start climbing it and keep an eye for glowing, red bugs. Once you approach a device, burn it by pressing triangle. Check out the minimap which exactly shows the search area - it will be getting smaller and smaller as you find more bugs.
Bystander
The police station has been attacked. In order to get good Karma points, help the cops. Alternatively, you can just watch as they're getting killed and earn some evil points this way.
Abduction
A couple of citizens have been kidnapped by the gang members. Go to the destination and get rid of the bodyguards escorting the civilians.
Photographer
You have to complete some tasks given to you by a local photographer. You can be asked to show one of your powers or kill an enemy in a certain way.
Dark Water
The Reapers have polluted the water intakes on the top of the buildings. This mission is similar to one of the tasks you have to complete during the story. Get rid of the enemies on the roofs and use the Shockwave on the barrels mounted on the water containers. Depending on what Karma points you want to get, you can also destroy the barrels control panel using lightning.
The Informant
The person asking you to do this job is in possession of information regarding the local gang and as a result, he's being attacked. Quickly get rid of the attackers to complete the mission. The informant must survive.
Mobile Poison
A tank filled with tar is moving through the city. Of course it's being protected by gang members, who additionally respawn. It's one of the harder side missions; I'd suggest trying to complete it only after getting the Lightning Storm ability.
The Impostor
One of the civilians turns out to be a spy working for the gang. Scan the minimap with the L3 button to find him amongst normal people and kill quickly.
Playing Doctor
You can help the wounded cops, but not necessarily. Heal them in order to get good Karma points and you will also get 5 Shards. If you want some bad Karma simply attack them and take what's yours yourself.
Surgical Operation
Get to the medic before he gets killed. You have to quickly kill his guards or else they will have enough time to kill him.
Hidden Package
From time to time, you will kill a gang member who will leave behind a side mission. Approach the character and a picture of a package hidden somewhere nearby will appear in your head. Note that the search area is marked on the minimap.
Split Decision
The Dustmen have kidnapped the woman's brother and additionally stolen some shards from him. You can either get him out of Dustmen hands and receive good Karma points or just take the shards and earn some bad points.
Grave Danger
Look out, as the man giving you the mission will turn out to be a member of the gang! You will find yourself trapped, surrounded by a big number of enemies. Don't take on this mission until you don't have powerful attacks in your sleeve.
Chasing Echoes
You begin the mission next to a dead civilian. Follow the man's echo, which should lead you to the gang's fortress. There are three powerful Conduits here, hiding between the containers. Find and eliminate them.
Explosive Choices
The gang has set up an explosive under the police station. Run there and disarm the explosive to get good Karma points. Alternatively, you can just wait and see the action for bad Karma points.
Drug Runners
The Reapers have stolen medicine packages from the clinic. Chase and eliminate them, take the packages they were carrying and return them back to where they belong.
Gang Wars
The Reapers and the Dustmen are fighting each other. There are lots of enemies around, so it's easy to get hit. Destroy the gas station first. Afterwards, run to the roofs and throw grenades at your foes. If you take on this mission in the later part of the game, the Lightning Storm ability will prove very useful.
Spy Games
Kill the messenger sent by the Reapers. Quickly get on the building's roof and watch the messenger. Once he starts to move, jump down to the platform the train is moving on and keep following him. After some time the messenger will leave the package behind. Wait for him to walk away and take it.
El Train
This mission is available after starting the train running across The Warden or the Historic District. Kill all the enemies on the train and afterwards get rid of the wrecks lying on the tracks. Get back on the train and ride to the tunnel, where you will have to eliminate some more foes. In the later part of the mission you will have to charge the boxes found under the track, just like in one of the story missions.
Terror Bus
It's identical to one of the story missions. You have to destroy an armoured bus driving around town.
Tied Down
The police needs four live Reapers to get some information out of them.
Brother's Keeper
The Dustmen have kidnapped the man's brother and dressed him up in their own clothes. You will receive a photo of the man that you have to rescue. Go to the marked spot and kill everyone besides him.
Satellite Uplinks
Get on the building and drain the whole energy out of an antenna on top. You will have a limited amount of time to run through the checkpoints. You don't have to drain the energy out of them, just run through.
Clinical Onslaught
It's similar to one of the story missions. Defend the clinic by killing the attackers.
Paranoia
A certain woman thinks she is being observed by invisible enemies. During the conversation it turns out that it's not only her imagination. Kill the three attackers to complete the mission.
Escape to safety
Your name is Cole and you've got really bad luck, seriously. There has been a massive explosion in Empire City and it seems that you were right in the epicentre. Take a look at the incoming chopper and afterwards at the idiot that didn't have enough time to get the hell out of here. Get down the bath behind you and Zeke should call. That lucky guy is somewhere in the safe zone, next to the bridge. Jump over the bus and run into the garage. Bloody hell! The electricity should have killed you, meanwhile... No Cole, don't think too much, there will be enough time for that later.
The garage crumbles. Look out not to get crushed by the rubble. Use the big pipe to get to the other area of the parking lot. Oh no! Electricity again! Why are you still alive? This is a nightmare. Fortunately there are some police cars nearby. You're wounded and it's hard for you, but it's your only hope.
This strange power, it's overwhelming you, you can't control it. Something bad is happening and innocent people are dying all around you! Zeke is waiting for you on the other side of the bridge. Run to him, it's only a few steps. Don't faint, don't faint! He fainted...
These are bad times. Empire City has been quarantined; the Feds have closed the citizens inside. Chaos, anarchy and crime are spreading. However some citizens managed to settle down during these two weeks. For example Zeke. He's still sitting on a comfortable sofa, watching TV and reading comics all the time. He has just asked you charge some batteries. Never mind his appearance, he did save your life after all. You owe him more than a beer. While you're on it, fry some mannequins. What are they doing on a roof?!
Collect Zeke's gun
Investigate the food airdropped at Archer Square
One of the advantages of having super powers is being able to jump from the highest roof and worry only about the astonishment of the people around, when they see the smile on your face instead of a bloody mush on the pavement. There will be an airdrop on the Archer Square, so it's time to get moving. Jump from the roof and run after Zeke to the parking lot to get his gun. Once there, target the last car in the row and use the Shockwave. That will do the job. Unfortunately, having such powers also has its downsides and you have to charge your "batteries" from time to time. Look at the transformer box and drink some fresh electricity. It's time to get some food. Run after Zeke.
There's a big crowd on Archer Square already. Unfortunately, the package got stuck on quite a height and there is no one around to get it. It's time for you to do the dirty work. Begin climbing the pedestal. Once you get to the first level, find a thin pipe using which you can get even higher. Go around the pedestal and shoot the wheel holding the package with lightning. Unfortunately, while you were on it, the Reapers weren't idle. Those damn punks are everywhere! Get down and eliminate them. All of them!
Karma moment: The moment of truth, what type of man are you? There's a lot of food, you have fought to get it and you deserve it. On the other hand, these poor people will starve if you don't share with them. Kill them, or let them take the food back home?
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Provoke riots
Get to the other side of the bridge
Going through the bridge is the only way to get out of the city. Zeke has found out, that there is a picket against the quarantine is being organized near one of them. This can be a great opportunity that won't happen again anytime soon. Unfortunately, the access to the bridge is being blocked by the cops. Meet with your friend and afterwards run to the police cordon. There's quite a crowd gathered there.
Karma moment: While in the crowd, you can initiate a riot or get to business straight away and show the cops who's the boss around here. A couple of burned bodies shouldn't be too much of a price for regaining freedom. But those civilians, a massacre can occur because of you.
Defeat the cops protecting the entrance to the bridge. To open the gate blocking the way, shoot the control panel a couple of times. Do the same with every other gate. Hide behind containers to avoid enemy fire. Once you reach the machine guns nests, hide and target in the centre, between the end of the cover and the roof of the guns. This way you should hit the cop right in the head. You can also hang from the upper part of the container and shoot.
On your way back, after meeting Moya, you will have to use the pipe system below the bridge. Jump from one to the other. If the distance between them is too big, note the metal bars mounted below the bridge. Shoot the part connecting them to the bridge and use them to move on. You will bump into Reapers a couple of times. It's best to eliminate them from as far as possible. Look out, as some pipes will crumble as you get on them. Jump to the nearest safe spot to avoid falling down. Eventually a concrete pillar will block your way. Jump on the ledge surrounding it and start moving along it. Look out for the sewage running from the pipes above.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Locate three Dead Drops for Moya
Moya picks up some strange signals from the nearby roof. Get on the top of the container. It turns out to be a small satellite dish with an audio device attached. Collect the data. Moya is positive, that there's another one somewhere nearby. Check out the area. Press the left analog stick to find it. Have a look at the minimap in the lower right corner of the screen. After you press the analog stick, the location of nearby objects will appear on it for some time. If you are near a satellite dish, a grey outlet will appear around the map, showing the direction in which you have to go. It this mission's description there are the localizations of three ones, but you can also search for some more. Overall, there are 32 antennas on the three islands. The map showing their location is in another chapter of the guide.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Fight off the Reaper attack on the clinic
The Reapers have attacked a medical clinic. Talk to the medic and kill all the Reapers in the area. There's just a few of them really. After getting rid of them, you will gain a point in which you will respawn in case of dying during a mission. There will be also no enemies appearing in this place. It's an example of one of many side missions in which you gain new terrain and the trust of the citizens. As you progress further in the game, you can unlock more territories by completing other missions. However it's not necessary in order to complete the story.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Find Carey
Start up the substation
Moya will inform you about a missing electrician, Carey. He has been last seen in a backstreet near the place where you began the mission. Go there. Carey is nowhere to be found, but there's a dead woman. It's his wife, Lynnae. Unexpectedly, you learn that you have the power to watch the last moments of a dead person. Check out Lynnae and you will see a green echo of a man, running. It's probably Carey. Follow him and look out, because you will have to deal with some Reaper patrols on the way. Eventually you will get to a substation controlled by the gang. Slowly eliminate the defenders and afterwards run to the dead alley behind Carey. Boom! One of those bastards blew himself and the whole substation up.
0
After you pull yourself together, locate Carey and follow him. He'll lead you to the sewers entrance. Pick up the cover and you will find yourself underground. Jump to the other side, to the transformer. Once you're there, connect the circuit and you will learn some new abilities (Pulse Heal, Bio-Leech, Arc Restrain). Heal the wounded by the locked door and the gate will be opened for you.
Cross the refugee camp. Poor people, lots of wounded and sick around here. You can try to heal them. There are also some Reapers on the ground, so treat them well (Bio-Leech, Arc Restrain). Afterwards, go further by using the pipes hanging from the ceiling.
Continue going forward while killing the Reapers in your way. Jump on the nearest cylinder, from it onto another one and you will reach some bars with Carey behind them.
Karma moment: Carey is convinced that the Reapers will kill his wife if he helps you, he doesn't want to open the door. You can tell him the sad truth, or treat him with some electricity.
After getting through the bar, you will reach another substation. Target the control panel (it's glowing red) and zap it a couple of times. This will bring the electricity back to this part of the city.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Charge up the transmitter
Start up the substation
There is a transmitter in the area that needs charging. If it doesn't work correctly, Moya can lose you. Get to the roof with the transmitter and shoot its control panel until it's fully charged up. After a while, trucks with Reapers and machine guns will appear. Before you begin the fight, find some devices and charge yourself up. It's best to avoid the trucks, but if you approach, you can notice that a Reaper's head is sticking out of the cover. You can try and do some headshots. Use the roofs and get near the sewers entrance.
Jump across the damaged platforms and cylinders and get near the device. Fix the circuit of the underground transformer and you will learn to use Shock Grenades. Before you continue, charge up to the maximum and throw a grenade into the locked door.
0
Carefully jump across the platforms. You will find yourself in a room with three machine gun posts. Duck behind a cover and remembering your fight with the trucks, target the heads. You can also try and throw a grenade at them. After eliminating the three of them, head further. Now it's time for some kamikazes. Above all, don't let them approach you. Eliminate them from afar. After getting rid of two enemies, charge up the next substation.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Restore clean water to the city
Smith's Fountain is filled with black water and there are lots of sick people around it. Turn the valve and run after Trish to the ambulance. You will hear some mysterious voices and see strange things, but it won't affect your hit points. You will learn that there are two more valves left. Check out the map [Select] and look for blue dots. These are the places you must go to. Make your way to the park. Shoot the Reapers guarding the area and turn the first valve.
Karma moment: You can get splashed with the strange substance again as you turn the valve. Turn it despite that, or use someone else to do it for you.
After turning the second valve, head to the tunnel. Go to the very end, while eliminating the enemies on your way. Afterwards destroy the truck pumping the liquid. The exit from the tunnel is behind the truck and as it turns out, right next to the fountain. Return to Zeke to complete this mission.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Start up the substation
This is a short mission thanks to which you will get to know some more of your powers. Cross the pipes in the sewer. Connect the circuit and you will learn the Induction Grind ability, which allows you to grind cables and rails. It's one of the more useful abilities in the game, allowing you to safely and quickly get around the three islands. Safely reach the end of the sewer, repair the substation and you will complete the mission.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Recapture the train with prisoners
0
The Reapers have imprisoned people in the train and maybe Moya's husband, John is amongst them. Go to the front, get the cars out of the way and jump onto the train to get it moving. You task is to safely escort the train through a couple of stations. At some point the train will stop and Moya will tell you that you have to power up a feeder box under the tracks. Jump down to the street, find the power box (a small box places on one of the girders) and zap it a couple of times. Afterwards get back onto the train.
When the train stops on the station, get rid of the Reapers, once more get down to the street, find the box and power it up with some lightning. Repeat this process each time the train stops. In the later part of the mission, you will have to deal with a blockade set up on the track by the Reapers. If you can't get rid of it, try to jump down from the train, flank the Reapers and then return onto the train. Of course you won't get anywhere without removing the cars from the track.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Clear the water containers
You have to deal with the tar again. There are lots of ill people around. You have to get to the containers on the roofs. Get rid of the Reapers on the roof, by the container [1] and get on it using the ladder. Use the Shockwave on the barrel attached to it. Some tar will land on your face and you will start hearing a strange voice again. Also notice, that the amount of power you can store has dropped. Don't worry about it, it will return to normal after you complete the mission. After destroying the barrel, go to the container [2].
Karma moment: You can deal with the container [2] like with the others - use your Shockwave or zap the control panel attached to it. If you decide to zap the panel, more people will get poisoned by the tar. Depending on which method you choose, you will gain good or bad Karma points.
After meeting Nemesis, go back to Zeke to regain your full power.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Start up the substation
0
In the sewers, you will find a power box after getting through the first area. Charge it up and afterwards jump onto a mechanical arm to get to the other side. Once there, interact with the circuit and you will obtain the Precision Power. Aim at the moving fan and zoom in. Target the power box on the other side and shoot it a couple of times. Use another mechanical arm to get to the next part of the sewers.
You will have another chance of using your power a bit further. Hide behind the generator and shoot the Reapers with a machine gun and a shield. Kill some more enemies by the next generator and afterwards look down and a bit to the right. There is another power box behind the vent which will start up a mechanical arm. Jump onto the cylinder and look behind. Charge another box, move forward and start up the substation.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defend the medical crate
There will be an airdrop on the square. Trish asks for your help in defending the crate. The terrain is controlled by the Reapers. In the first phase of the mission you can snipe the enemies from afar while safely standing on one of the rooftops. Although later on you will have to go down and fight with the Reapers, as their numbers will increase. Try to stay close to places where you can charge up your power. Eventually some trucks will appear - deal with them as fast as you can. Afterwards get rid of the other Reapers.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defeat Sasha
It was Sasha who has been telepathically contacting you when you were hit by the tar. It's time to thank her for her "efforts". You have to get to the underwater tunnel, but the entrance is closed at the moment. You begin the mission near a small fortress defended by the Reapers. In order to get inside, you have to charge up the power box to the left of the gate. Enter the fortress's terrain and eliminate the enemies. Keep an eye on those on watch towers, getting rid of them may not be so easy. Above all, try to find a safe cover and kill the remaining Reapers running chaotically across the fortress. In the end, while not being distracted by anyone, eliminate the enemies on the towers. Afterwards jump on the one close to the entrance gate, pull the lever and the entrance to the tunnel will open up.
Once you're in the tunnel, make use of the wrecks and gradually eliminate the Reapers. This way you should reach a complex of cages where prisoners are being held. Shoot the round lock on the gate and you will be able to enter inside. You can free the prisoners inside if you like. Those changed into Reapers won't attack you.
The fight with Sasha consists of shooting her and at the same time, defending from the Reapers she's sending at you. Don't go into the water unless it's really necessary or you have to deal with Sasha. If you manage to weaken her, she will crouch for a while. Quickly run to her and start beating her using melee attacks. A short cutscene should occur during which you have to quickly press X and at the same time use the left analog stick to point the cursor onto the marked point. After a couple of times, Sasha will fall and you will unlock the second island - The Warren.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Start up the substation
00
Walk the pipes to the generator and connect the circuit to obtain the Static Thrusters power, allowing you to glide through the air. The further path requires you to use it. Jump across the pipes and mechanical arms while using new power. Deal with some enemies on your way. They shouldn't be too hard, by now you should have an arsenal of abilities.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defend the workers while they're lowering the drawbridge
After you begin the mission, Trish will call you and tell about a kidnapped mechanic. Go to the destination. You will see the target kneeling in a small garden, guarded by some enemies. Wait for them to get away from the mechanic and quickly take care of them. Approach the engineer and he will begin to follow you. If he gets hurt and fall down, you can use your power and heal him. Check the map to see where the blue dot is and keep going into that direction, while protecting the mechanic. Eventually you will reach a drawbridge, with a control panel nearby. Your task is to protect the mechanic. Face the bridge, turn around and to the right and run a couple meters. After a while you should see some enemies. Don't let them get anywhere near the mechanic. Run to the bridge from time to time and see if he doesn't need to be healed. After getting rid of the first wave of enemies, you should get info about a second mechanic located in the Neon District. Use the partially lowered bridge and jump to the second island.
In the park in the Neon District you will see a similar situation to that in The Warden. The mechanic is guarded by some Reapers. Wait for a good moment and quickly kill them. Take the mechanic to the control panel on this side of the bridge. Charge up the device and protect the mechanic. You can be called to help on the other side, so work swiftly. After you're finished in The Warden, you will have to go back to the Neon District. After a couple waves, the attackers will let go and the bridge will be finally lowered till the end.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defeat the Conduit
Zeke's buddy is dead. Somebody managed to kill him earlier. Approach the body and you will see a short cutscene. Follow the echo, just like you did it in one of the previous missions.
Karma moment: At some point you will run into an author of two posters, with you as their main motive. On one you are presented as a hero and on the other one as a dangerous villain. It's up to you to choose how Empire City's citizens should see you.
The echo will lead you to a spot where a powerful, new enemy awaits. It shoots rockets and from time to time, releases energetic spiders from the container on its back. Try to throw some grenades at him, while keeping an eye on the spiders. They're easiest to handle with a Shockwave or a normal punch.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Start up the substation
Connect the circuit. You will learn the Megawatt Hammer ability. This new power is something completely new and very deadly. Move forward. In the big room with cylinders you have to be especially careful not to fall into the water. If you do, try to find a ladder as soon as possible. Fight your way forward while making use of your new ability. It will be especially useful against the rocket launcher wielding enemy. Hide behind the bags and target him as soon as possible. Otherwise his two shots will be enough to leave you without a cover. Repair the substation in the last room.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Rescue the hostages from the moored boat
The Dustmen have trapped some hostages on a few boats. You have to find them all and free the hostages before the boats sail away. Summing up, you have to board four ships moored in different places of The Warden. Some of them are protected by machine gun posts and some by Dustmen equipped with rocket launchers. The first thing to do getting on each of the ships should be destroying the motor (the slightly opened hatch on the stern).
Afterwards free the hostages by shooting the locks on the cages. Try to eliminate the enemies from as far as possible each time. There's just too many of them to try and fight them at close range.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Shoot the drones flying above the city
Take the black boxes from the wrecks
There are enemy drones flying above Empire City. You task is to find them (they're displayed as blue dots on the map), shoot them down and afterwards take the black boxes from the wrecks. Go to the area above which the drone is flying and climb the tallest building. Target the machine using the Precision Shot and shoot it down. However keep in mind that the drone shouldn't fall into the water. You won't fail the mission if it does, because another one will appear on its place, but you will have to repeat the whole process again. When the drone falls onto the ground, find it and take the black box.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Save Zeke
The container warehouse near the shipyard is a real maze. However this is where Zeke is being held captive. Enter through the gate and be ready for a fight with Dustmen. They will appear from one of the containers, so try to throw grenades at them while they're in a group. After defeating them and moving forward, the road will be blocked by a poisonous haze getting out of a couple of pipes. Notice that right next to it there is a valve. Turn it and quickly run to the other side.
Once there, turn another valve, turn around, jump on the ladder as fast as possible and afterwards jump on the wire stretched across. Go forward all the time until you reach a spot blocked by a fence. Go onto the ladder beside it and jump over it with the help of the hover ability.
Once on the ramp, kill the enemy behind the machine gun. After some hard fights you should get onto a couple of containers, placed one on another.
Use the Precision to kill the enemies from afar. You will notice Zeke in a cage hanged on one of the cranes. From now on, you can't fall down from the containers, or walk off the path leading to the crane or else the game will assume that you didn't manage to save Zeke and you will have to repeat the whole fragment from the beginning. After getting rid of the Dustmen, go onto the crane and use the control panel to free your friend.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defend the bus
The Reapers think that Trish works for the Dustmen. Your task is to defend the bus with her inside. Jump onto the roof. The bus is in fact a limitless source of energy, so you can use your whole arsenal of moves. During the ride, keep an eye for enemies with rocket launchers and eliminate them first. Destroy the cars with machine guns as well.
Once you're on the second island, destroy or push the barricade formed from car wrecks. Jump down from the roof if you must and quickly return there after you're done. In the end of the mission you will meet Alden, who can send a bus flying to the roof of a skyscraper with a move of his hand. Your task now will be to defeat the enemies around the building and then climb it to rescue the girl. If you don't want to fight, you can try to run around the building and begin climbing it from behind. You can try to attack from the front, but you will have a hard time doing so. The machine guns seem to be the most dangerous threat, so you can't get too close. Once you're on the top, simply approach the bus.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Follow Alden
The police want to arrest Alden. After a call from Moya, go meet the policeman. However, it will turn out that he has been murdered. Make use of your paranormal abilities once again and follow the echo.
Karma moment: While following the echo, you will bump into a man being terrorised by some citizens. He has been hanged upside down. You can free him by shooting the rope. You can also simply walk away as well, ignoring the man. It's up to you if you want to be a hero, or a villain.
The echo will lead you to a strange encampment controlled by the Dustmen. Use the minimap and follow Alden while eliminating the enemies on your way. Look out not to fall into the water. When you reach a dead end, jump onto the pipe and get to the top using it.
You will see the remaining of an old square. Jump down and approach the fountain. A new, enormous Conduit will appear. He shoots a quick series of hot rock fragment from time to time, but the exploding rocks he's throwing are far more dangerous. Shoot at him with everything you've got, charging up from one of the nearby lanterns when you must. Use the fountain as cover. The more damage the Conduit receives, the more orange he will get. After you defeat him, the mission will end.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Destroy the armoured buses
Armoured buses have appeared in Empire City and they're shooting the citizens. Currently you're not able to damage them in any classical way, so you have to use a trick. Find a bus (blue dots on the map), but don't approach them on the ground. Instead, place yourself on one of the nearby roofs. In the right moment, jump down and glide so that you can land on the roof of the bus. Now you just have to aim at the exposed motor at the back of the bus and destroy it. Repeat the above formula with each bus and you will safely complete the mission.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defend the prison
Start up the generator
You have to defend to prison from the attacking Dustmen. Quickly stand on the electrified walkway. The only way to stop the flaming missiles is to use the Shockwave.
Until you have the electricity, you can use the most powerful attack, when the enemies break through the wall.
The first wave won't be too hard; however after a while a powerful Conduit will join the fight. Try to get rid of him as fast as possible, because after a couple of minutes you will receive a report that the generator has broken down.
You will have to prison tower. Jump around it using the iron pillars. In the further part, use the concrete blocks hanging on the remains of armouring wires. However you have to immediately jump again after landing on them, because they will quickly crumble.
You will find the generator right before the top. Charge it up with electricity and afterwards climb the iron pillar to the prison's roof.
Once you get word about another attack, simply jump down from the roof. The power is on again, so you can use powerful attack against the Conduits. At some point during the fight, a helicopter will appear. When you will be told to head to it, run in its direction and the mission will end.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Start up the substation
Connect the circuit and you will get the Polarity Wall ability. It's not very useful at this point of the game, but you will have to use it to safely get to the end of the tunnel. Using it, approach the machine gun from the side and kill the enemy.
The wall will be also necessary when jumping the mechanical arms. It will protect you from the bullets and will allow to get rid of the foe from afar. Repair the substation in the end of the tunnel.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Meet with John
It turns out that Moya isn't necessarily the person she claims she is. The meeting with John can come in handy, as he can explain some things. The mission itself is very short, although if you still haven't learned to swiftly move around Empire City, it can be quite frustrating. In general, your task is to follow the chopper flying through the town. You don't stand a chance running across the streets, so it's best to make use of the Induction ability and grind the cables. If the chopper will fly through the bridge, don't try to run after it on foot, but notice that there is a cable running along the bridge. The chopper will fly in such a way that you will be able to smoothly follow it grinding the cables stretched across the buildings, the bridge and along the railway
Once the chopper will start to hover above John, don't hesitate and immediately jump down from the building. Otherwise the mission will end with a failure and you will have to repeat it from the very beginning. It will turn out you have to defeat a Conduit.
Karma moment: You can shoot the chopper's fuel tank and hurt the Conduit but burn the wounded at the same time. You will receive bad Karma. Alternatively, you can just bravely take the hit.
The mission will end after you get rid of the enemy.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Get to the top of Alden's tower
Defend Zeke
It's time to get the Ray Sphere. You have to get to the top of Alden's tower, because, according to you knowledge, the Sphere is there. Zeke is together with you and unfortunately, you will have to make sure he keeps up with you. You will have to start up the elevator a couple of times for him to get higher. Begin the climb from the metal platform next the tower. Once you're at the first level, zap the device resembling a big fan and Zeke will get higher.
To get even higher, use the numerous neon signs attached to the structure. This way you will go around the tower and get to the next level. After getting rid of the enemies, get another elevator running.
Jump onto the metal rail coming out of the wall. Notice that there is another rail on the other side of the structure. Jump in its direction and glide through the air to reach it. Repeat this in the further part of the climbing.
Start up another elevator once close to the top. It will turn out that the Sphere actually is here, but taking it won't be easy. While Zeke tries to take it out, you have to defend him from the oncoming enemies. Run between the thin covers. You can use some of them and collect the electricity. Get rid of all the enemies on the top of the tower and you will complete the mission.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defeat Alden
Alden is one dangerous, old man and you cannot let him get away. Run to the destroyed bridge and begin the mission. Don't go down, but jump on the iron pillars and try to go forward while staying above the ground and fighting off the enemies. Once you reach the end, jump into the grey abyss.
Alden will be throwing some metal stuff in the beginning, so don't stay in one spot for too long. While shooting him, try to aim at his chest. When you're out of energy, charge up from one of the four panels.
You can avoid most of the projectiles by hiding behind a concrete cover. However when you will notice that Alden uses an ability resembling a flamethrower, immediately move to another spot. Once Alden gets damaged enough, he will show himself in the yellow sphere on the monster's chest and will be vulnerable. Quickly shoot him.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Free the hostages
During the first mission in the Historic District you will have to activate a destroyed bridge and free the people being held hostage by Kessler. Firstly, approach the control panel and charge it up. After a while a new enemy will appear: the First Son Giant Conduit. He isn't very hard, despite his looks. Just target his chest and look if the enemy's outline if flashing red, which means that your hits are doing damage. After a couple of shots the hologram will disappear and a much more physical enemy will appear. Quickly finish him off and the fight will be over.
Kessler, on the other hand, isn't giving up and he takes hostages in some parts of the city and threatens to kill them. If you want to save them, you have to work quickly and resolutely. First of all, don't try to be stealthy and don't approach using the roofs. Run to the destination through the streets, getting rid of the enemies on your way. Once you approach the energetic field forming a fence, quickly kill the guards protecting it, approach it and suck out the electricity using the [L2] button. Repeat it each time you face one.
Karma moment: After freeing the hostages, Kessler will contact you again and inform that it's up to you if you want to save six doctors or a girl who is Trish herself, according to what Kessler is saying. The hostages are in two different buildings and you don't have enough time to save everyone. You have to choose. If you decide to save the doctors you will receive good Karma points, and bad points in the other case.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defend the substation
Jump across the pipes and connect the circuit to earn a new, powerful ability - the Lightning Storm. Once you get out of the sewers, it will turn out you have to defend three substations from incoming enemies. With the newly gained power, this mission is quite easy.
Jump on the substation's roof and you will have unlimited energy. You need to defend the station until it is fully charged. Once the enemies appear, treat them with the Lightning Storm, which should do tremendous damage. Do the same with the other two stations and the mission will soon end.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Destroy the balloons spreading the poison
Balloons spreading a poison have appeared above Empire City. Before you take care of them, you have to destroy the planes, circling around them. This shouldn't be too hard, as it only takes one shot to take them down. Afterwards, note the balloon's route. Climb the tallest building near its route and once the balloon is near, use the Lightning Storm ability to turn out the energy field for a minute. Quickly jump on the platform beneath the balloon, using the glide ability. Once on it, unlock three couplings connecting the platform to the balloon. Your problem will fly away to the clouds and you will be able to take care of the next balloon.
People on the streets have gone mad because of the poison and will be aggressive towards you. That's why it's best to use the roofs. The second and third balloon will be harder because they will be equipped with machine guns which you can't destroy. Use the chimneys as cover and jump once you're ready.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Destroy the jamming devices
In order to find the Ray Sphere once again, you have to firstly destroy the jammers. John will pilot the chopper and you will defend him from an attached platform. Frequently use Precision during the flight and try to kill the rocket launcher equipped enemies as soon as you spot them.
John will stop nearby a skyscraper's roof. Get out of the platform when he tells you to. Your mission is to find the camouflaged jamming devices. Generally, they're invisible until you stand next to them. Their location is marked by a blue dot on the minimap. However, you will have to kill dozens of enemies before you get to the device. The flying machines that can cloak themselves and the Conduit with a similar ability and a big gun are especially dangerous enemies. Try to kill them from afar and not get involved in close quarter combat. Once you clear the area, jump to the ground and find the barely visible jamming device. It's practically invisible and you can notice it only thanks to the fact that the cloaking refracting the light.
Use the Lightning Storm ability and the jammer will explode. Afterwards get back to John who will take you near the next device.
Once again use Precision to target enemies with rocket launchers. You will have to get rid of another First Son Conduit, but you already know how to fight with him.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Destroy the AA guns
Destroy the AA guns placed of a couple skyscrapers' roofs. Get rid of a gun's defence from afar, before you jump to it, especially every flying machine in the area.
Land on the roof with the gun and use the Lightning Storm ability. Follow this pattern with the other two guns. Generally only one gun is protected better, so this part of the mission shouldn't be too hard. Theoretically you can avoid the fight and focus only on destroying the guns.
After taking care of the guns, use the cables to follow John's chopper. He is headed straight for the Sphere's location, so don't lose him.
In the final part of the mission, you will have to get through a tight defence, blocking your way to the Sphere. You can try to defeat them, but I'd advise you to quickly run between the containers. This way you shouldn't get harmed. The mission will end once you get to the Sphere.
Reward: 500 Experience points.
Defeat Kessler
You will meet Kessler in the place where this all has begun. The fight isn't too difficult, however you shouldn't stay in one spot for longer that two or three seconds. Kessler's attacks aren't too powerful, generally he'll just throw you between some holes. In order to attack him, you will have to wait for him to either attack you with beams of energy or kneel down. You probably won't hit him any other way. You can charge up from one of many cables lying on the ground.
Once you damage Kessler enough, a short cutscene will take place, similar to the one from the fight with Sasha. After a failed struggle Zeke will show up and Kessler will begin to summon fling machines. Try to shoot them down as fast as possible and then return to Kessler.
Once Kessler's health is drained, another cutscene will occur. You can easily win by quickly pressing the X button and moving Cole's hand to the place marked on Kessler's head. Once you're done with it, the game will end.
