Welcome to the unofficial guide to third installment of the "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon" series ("Advanced Warfighter"). The following guide consists mainly of a detailed walkthrough of the singleplayer campaign of the game. You should know that "Advanced Warfighter" isn't a linear game. There are a lot of different paths leading to your current destination. I am only suggesting where you should go at the moment. You may try a different approach if you want to. There's a lot of space for these kinds of actions. The same goes with the equipment. Machine guns and snipers seem a like a good idea, although they aren't necessary. You may consider taking something heavier... that is, if you feel comfortable with that kind of weaponry. The following walkthrough has been focused mostly on a default machine gun. This was my favorite weapon (especially with the combatsight attached to it). There are some additional hints in the last chapter of this guide. You should start off by reading them right now. You will find more about moving on the battlefield, issuing command to your squad members or using additional equipment. I have also suggested what to do in certain types of situations. There's also a few interesting things concerning different types of weaponry. I would also like to say that "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter" is a very challenging product, especially when you've chosen one of the higher difficulty levels. Don't worry if you're dying all the time, mostly because you won't be able to save your progress all the time. There are only automatic savegames. As a result, you must be very careful. It is imperative that you plan each action. Remember that you won't be rushed by anything or anyone. Well... that's it. Have fun playing the game and using my guide!
1. You must be VERY careful all the time! Sadly, "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter" doesn't give you an opportunity to save your progress whenever you want to. Instead, there are only automatic save games. They are activated once you've reached a certain area of the map. You won't be able to delay a savegame. As a result, you will have to remember to kill all of the nearby soldiers first (before moving on to the save area). Otherwise you would find yourself in a very uncomfortable situation. I've displayed all savegame locations in my walkthrough. It should help you a little bit. You will know which areas need to be secured.
2. Remember that you DON'T have to hurry! There are no missions in the game that would require you to proceed quickly to the designated target. There are some objectives, however, that may suggest that you have to hurry. That's not true. Remember that running or even moving more quickly than usual will probably lead you to an immediate failure. You must be very careful. Choose your next targets wisely. You should also be taking a close look at your surroundings.
3. Don't expose yourself or any of your team members too much! "Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter" is a realistic FPP shooter. You must remember that, especially if you've chosen one of the higher difficulty levels. One bullet is enough to kill your hero or someone from your team. The same goes with your opponents.
4. Try to avoid larger groups of enemy soldiers and (if possible) organize surprise attacks. Thankfully, you should be able to kill most of the enemy soldiers without having to expose your position, especially if you're carrying a sniper rifle or a machine gun with a combatsight attached to it. You should also be leaning out a lot. Most of the terrorists won't notice you doing that. You will have at least a few seconds in order to make a precise shot.
5. Use ALL of the surrounding objects for cover. Most levels are highly detailed, so you will be able to use a lot of different objects for cover. You shouldn't also have any problems finding them. One of the best objects for these kinds of actions are the small brick walls. They provide enough cover for you soldier, however you can shoot at the enemy soldiers at the same time.
6. Conserve your ammunition. You should know that you will be able to pick up extra ammunition from some of the killed enemy soldiers, however this only works if you're carrying a "popular" type of a machine gun. A sniper rifle, on the other hand, will require you to plan each shot. You can't miss, otherwise you'll lose a precious bullet. You must also pick your targets wisely. I would also recommend that you choose single shots, instead of long bursts. They should only be used in smaller areas of if you're providing a covering fire for the allied soldiers.
7. Choose your weapons and the additional equipment wisely. You've probably read about this before. I often picked a standard machine gun. It's a most suitable weapon for most of the missions, especially when it has combatsight attached to it. Sniper rifle is also a good idea. It might help you during some missions, especially these that take place during the night. Like I've said before, you must pick your targets wisely. As for the second weapon, it's good to have the MP5 with you, although in some missions it's better to take the rocket launcher instead of a new gun. Thanks to that, you'll be able to take out some of the more difficult targets.
First of all, you should know that in most cases there are a lot of different paths leading to your destination. Some of them have been described in the walkthrough, although I've tried to pick the safest ones. As a result, you will have to spend some more time on the map, however it will allow you to pick a safest possible route. You should also know that some of the enemy soldiers may appear in different areas of the map. This happens when you try to reload the whole level. Like I've said before, you must be careful all the time, because the terrorists may be hiding in previously checked areas.
1. Use the tactical view feature! The tactical map is one of the most useful tools that you will be able to use during the course of the game. The most important feature of the map is that it monitors your surrounding in real time! As a result, you will be able to spot moving units. It will allow you to prevent them from surprising any of your team members. You must remember the tactical view is not able to show locations of these opponents that are standing inside buildings. Thankfully, most of them are very easy to spot. Additionally, you will be able to use the drone in some of missions. You mustn't forget about it. The drone will allow you to locate enemy units more efficiently, although you have to remember that sometimes it can skip some of the enemy soldiers.
2. Remember that the rest of the team can help you out during most of the fights. I should tell you that your teammates aren't too clever, mostly because the AI has a lot of annoying flaws. Sometimes your colleagues decide to enter a territory that's occupied by massive enemy forces. You can't allow any of these situations to happen. One of the most important things is to NOT send them to previously unexplored areas. As I've said before, you should be using the tactical view in order to scan the whole sector. Thanks to that, you'll know where it's safe. You should also take a close look at where your teammates are standing. Make sure that they're using walls or other large objects for cover.
3. Attack the terrorists from many different sides. You should know that you will have an opportunity to give specific orders to each member of the squad. As a result, it would be wise to divide your team. Two smaller squads will be able to attack enemy forces from different sides. You should be using these types of moves while attacking larger groups of enemy soldiers. Thanks to that, you'll be able to take care of them faster than usual.
Here you'll find a short list of possible threats. You'll be dealing with these units during the singleplayer campaign of the game, so it would be best to learn something more about them.
Armored vehicle (Panhard) - you will be encountering these types of units quite frequently. The most important thing in these type of situations is to take out the gunner. Once he's gone, you will have to deal with the rest of the soldiers. They will probably exit the vehicle within a few seconds. You should also know that during that time they're practically harmless.
Stationery heavy machine gun posts - you will have to be very careful during these fights. One bad move will mean an immediate failure. You will be able to take out the machine gun posts using many different strategies. The most obvious one will force you to take out the gunner himself. You will have to be leaning out a lot. Additionally, remember to aim at his head or leg. The second method involves using the grenades. They will have to land near the machine gun post in order to neutralize it. The last method will require you to surprise the gunner from one of the flanks. You will have to pick an alternative route in order for this action to succeed.
Enemy snipers - this is also a serious threat. One of the most important things for you to know is that you won't be able to spot most of the snipers at first glance. As a result, you will have to remember where they were standing. Once you've reloaded the map, try and surprise them. You can also use the tactical view, mostly because the snipers will be standing on roofs of the buildings.
Soldiers equipped with rocket launchers - these units appear only in few missions. Nevertheless, it's a very serious problem. The most important thing here is to stay away from them. The rocket launcher isn't effective at a long range. As a result, you should be taking these soldiers out from a large distance. Use the scope or a combatsight to help you out.
Tanks - remember that each time you plan to destroy an enemy tank, you must be equipped with the ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher. Thanks to it, disabling the vehicle is going to be very simple. You have to position yourself correctly. Make sure that the tank doesn't notice you. Aim at it and press the fire button in order to launch the missile.
Enemy gunships - there are only a few gunships to deal with during the course of the singleplayer campaign. It doesn't mean, however, that they don't pose too much of a threat. They are very difficult to destroy. The easiest way to take them out is to use a rocket launcher. Sadly, you won't have it in your inventory during some of these fights. As a result, you will have to position yourself near one of the walls. After that, wait for the gunship to appear and start shooting at it. Avoid open areas, because that would make you an easy target. As a result, the gunship would have used its missiles to kill you.
Threats: The first part of the mission is very simple. It should be treated as a standard tutorial section. You must be careful, though. Some of the first enemy soldiers will appear on the map very soon. You have to be ready for them. Remember to move slowly. Otherwise you might have some serious problems noticing them. If you've chosen one of the higher difficulty settings, it would be equal to an instant death. There are some guys equipped with rocket launchers later in this mission. You will also have to deal with several sniper units. Remember to use the tactical view in order to see where they're hiding.
Main objective: Once you've safely reached the ground, you will have to rejoin with the rest of your team. 'Ghost' members are located throughout the whole sector. Thankfully, you will be able to see where they're standing. Once you've completed this objective, you'll make a contact with Ramirez in order to receive new orders.
Walkthrough: You start off inside a plane (#1). There's nothing to do here, so you might as well look around a bit. The computer will control all of your movements. You will leave the plane in just a few seconds. This is a great opportunity to take a closer look at the city (#2). Lovely, isn't it? :-)
You will get closer to the ground in just a few seconds (#1). Don't worry, the parachute is going to be used automatically. CHECKPOINT 1. Get ready, because you will land on a freeway very soon. The game will display some of the first hints very shortly. It would be wise to start reading them (#2). First of all, you'll learn how to move your character. It is imperative that you practice taking some of the different stances - standing, crouching or lying on the ground. Peeking 'round corners is also very important.
A new icon will appear on your screen very shortly. You should familiarize yourself with it. It will tell you an exact distance to your current destination. Bear in mind that in some situations a few icons will appear simultaneously. It means than you can proceed to these spots in any order. You should be getting closer to a huge truck (#1). Press the CTRL button in order to lie down on the ground. Start moving under the truck (#2). You'll do it much faster if you press the SHIFT button. After that, get up and start moving forward.
You should be able to reach a small platform very soon. Turn right and start moving towards a lower floor (#1). The game will display your first objective here.
There are some additional hints on your screen right now (#2). Just as before, I would recommend that you read them carefully. This time you'll learn more about using guns. The game will explain shooting, using the scope, changing the rate of fire and reloading. You'll also find out that you have a secondary weapon in your backpack. There's a possibility of switching between two guns at any moment. Make sure that you've read all hints. You should also familiarize yourself with the key settings before proceeding to the first objective.
You've probably noticed that three different objectives will be displayed on your screen. Like I've said before, you'll be able to complete them in any order. I would recommend that you move to Kirkland's position first (#1). It's mainly because he's closest to your position. Furthermore, you shouldn't encounter any units at the moment. Get down to the ground and start moving forward. Like I've said, the path SHOULD be clear, ALTHOUGH you mustn't hurry. You have to be very careful all the time. The icon will tell you exactly how far you are from the target (#2).
You should be able to reach your destination without any problems (#1). Get closer to Kirkland in order to add him to your team. CHECKPOINT 2. The game will suggest that you practice giving orders to your squad members. It's very important, however you don't have a full team at your disposal. Nevertheless, use the mouse wheel to issue some orders. A small menu will appear on your screen (#2). At the moment you should focus your attention on two orders - Move and Follow. Choose the second one. You'll need Kirkland to follow you to the second allied soldier.
Now we will head on to Brown's location (#1). Start moving forward. You might consider letting Kirkland ahead of you. Use the MOVE order. This is not necessary. The most important thing is to move slowly. Thanks to that, you shouldn't miss anything. There's a small fence on your left. You should also notice a palm tree here (#2). Head on to this location, however don't get closer to a small opening just yet. Order your team member to stop. Get ready. There are some enemies nearby. This is probably going to be your first fight...
The terrorists are guarding one of the nearby streets. I would recommend that you start leaning out a lot (#1). You may also consider lying on the ground. Either way, you will have to deal with all enemy soldiers, without taking a single hit. DON'T use the wooden fence for cover!! The enemies would destroy it within seconds. Once they're gone, start moving forward. It would be best to stay close to one of the nearby walls (#2). You must be very careful. The enemies may be hiding everywhere. Use walls and other large objects for much needed cover.
Sadly, you won't be able to reach your destination just yet. There's a longer path leading there (#1). You will probably encounter at least one more terrorist along the way. You must be very careful. It would also be wise to let your squad member scan your surroundings. You should be able to reach a small alley very soon (#2). There are some new terrorists here. They will probably be hiding, so you won't notice them at first glance. Use all of the surrounding objects for cover.
Be careful! There's a next terrorist in the area. He should be located on your right (#1). If you're careful enough, you will be able to make a surprise attack. Head on to Brown's location. He is standing in a dark alley. Just as before, make a few steps forward in order to add him to your team. You've probably noticed that the game didn't make an autosave. As a result, you will have to be very careful in the following minutes of this mission. The game will also display some new hints (#2). You'll learn more about issuing orders to the whole squad or different soldiers.
One of the more interesting options allows you to activate a personal camera of a soldier (#1). It's not too useful, though. The decision on whether start using it or not is up to you. Make sure you've read all hints. Now you will have to reach the last team member - Allen (#2).
Start moving towards the last objective. Just as before, you MUST be very careful. Stand by one of the wrecks (#1). This is an excellent position to take out all of the nearby soldiers. Some of them will be marked as red icons. Thanks to that, you'll be able to take them out faster than usual. We'll return to this feature in just a moment. Zoom in the view, so you can take out all of the remaining soldiers (#2). Make sure you're using something for cover!!
You may proceed to the next section of the map. I would recommend that you choose a small alley that's leading to a freeway (#1). You shouldn't encounter any new units here. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be careful! Once you're there, start moving towards the right edge of the screen. There are some parked cars in the distance. That's where the opponents may be standing. Furthermore, some of them will probably attack your team from the rear (#2). You will have to be ready for that.
The only thing left to do here is joining Allen. He will be standing by the entrance to a small warehouse, near the crates (#1). Move up closer in order to add him to the team. CHECKPOINT 3. Wait for the new objective to show up.
The game will suggest that you take a closer look at the tactical map. You will be able to activate it by pressing the TAB key (#2). This is a VERY useful tool. As a result, you should be using it all the time. The most important aspect of the map is that it shows your surroundings in REAL TIME!! As a result, you will be able to observe movements on the map. Furthermore, there's a possibility of commanding your team through the map. You will be able to issue checkpoints. Like I've said before, some of the visible opponents are marked with red icons. The rest of them could be scanned with a drone or found "manually". You shouldn't have any problems noticing most of them, especially lonely snipers. ;-)
Start moving towards your new objective. You will have to reach a Drop Point (#1). There aren't any groups of enemy soldiers in the area. You will come across a few single terrorists. Just as before, you must be very careful. Some of the enemy units may be hiding or standing in unusual spots. You should be able to reach a train station very soon (#2). You must be more careful from this point. You will be moving on an open space. That makes your team a very easy target.
There are still some terrorists in the area. I was able to spot one of them almost instantly (#1). Thanks to that, I didn't have any problems killing him. You will have to secure this whole area. Continue moving forward. I guess I don't have to remind you to be very careful. ;-) You should get closer to one of the carriages (#2). It'll provide a small cover for your team, so it would be wise to stay here for a while and take out the remaining enemy soldiers.
There are some narrow alleys along the way. It would be best to choose them. Remember to move in the shadows (#1). Thanks to that, you should be able to avoid a few fights. Remember to use all of the nearby objects for cover. You should be able to reach your destination without any major problems (#2). As a result, you'll activate a large drone. We'll use it in just a minute. You've just completed this mission objective. CHECKPOINT 4.
This is a very simple task, really. You won't have to risk your life or lives any of your team members. You'll concentrate only on the acquired drone. You should notice that you'll be able to issue commands to the drone. The best way to do this is by entering the tactical view (#1). The drone will have to reach Ramirez's last position (#2). You shouldn't have any problems locating this building. It would be wise to issue some more checkpoints to the drone. Thanks to that, it should come across some new enemy soldiers. That's the main advantage of the drone. You should be using it during the upcoming fights.
The drone is moving quite slowly, so it would be best to return to your team. You will have to take care of the new enemy units. The terrorists have appeared in a nearby alley (#1). It's located on your right. Remember to use larger objects for cover. You should also lean out a lot. Finding Ramirez will automatically complete this mission objective. Before this happens, you should move your team to the designated building (#2). CHECKPOINT 5.
Listen to what the allied soldier (he is flying a gunship) has to say. This is by far the most difficult part of this mission. You will have to neutralize THREE soldiers that were equipped with rocket launchers. Thanks to that, an allied chopper will be able to extract your team. You begin near the large building (#1). I would recommend that you use the drone to scan the nearby area (#2). You should remember about doing this all the time.
Once again, you must know that you won't have to hurry. We will start with the right rocket launcher. Next we'll take out the middle one. The left one will be the last one to exterminate. Start moving towards your new objective. There are some terrorists in the area (#1). You will have to take them out quickly. As for the guy with the rocket launcher, you must kill him from a distance (#2). Position yourself correctly, so you'll be able to aim at his head. It's very important, because otherwise he would have fired a rocket at your team. Thankfully, he won't be able to harm you from there.
Start moving towards the building that was occupied by the first guy with a rocket launcher. You'll have to go there, because we will surprise the second soldier from the right flank. You should be able to take out some enemy soldiers along the way (#1). Most of them are guarding the entrance to the warehouse. The next group is located near one of the exits from the warehouse area (#2). Don't use it. Instead, keep moving forward.
You should be able to reach a new section of the map very soon (#1). You have to be very careful, though. There are AT LEAST 2-3 additional terrorists here. They will be hiding, so you won't notice them at first glance. Use small crates and other objects for cover (#2). I wouldn't recommend letting your teammates handle this problem. They would have probably died.
You should stick close to the left wall. Lean out CAREFULLY and take out an opponent that was armed with a rocket launcher (#1). You might not see him at first glance, but I can assure you he's there. That's not all! There are also some snipers on your left. I would recommend that you use the tactical view with a little help from the drone to locate them (#2). You can either throw a couple of grenades at the soldiers or ask your teammates for help. They should die quickly. Head on to the new path. You must reach the third RPG.
You should find yourself in a small alley. There's a burning car here (#1). Treat it as a good sign. ;-) It means that you're heading in the right direction. Keep moving forward. You shouldn't have any major problems locating the third soldier. The main problem will involve taking him out safely. You will have to move to your right in order to get a clean shot position (#2). The death of this enemy soldier will end the main objective of the mission. Wait for the next one to show up. CHECKPOINT 6.
There's "only" one more thing to do here. You will have to reach the extraction zone. It's located on the roof of the main warehouse building. Bear in mind that some new enemy soldiers have arrived in the area (#1). You will have to start moving towards them. Use walls and other objects for cover. You will have to deal with them swiftly (#2). It shouldn't be much of a problem.
Start heading towards the main gate of the warehouse. It should be located on your left. Sadly, it's the only way into the complex. I guess I don't have to say that you must deal with the surrounding enemy units (#1). I wouldn't recommend getting too close to the main square, because there may be some snipers in the area. Head on to the small stairs. They will lead you to an open gate (#2).
I would recommend sending the rest of the team ahead of you. Your teammates should deal with most of the terrorists without any problems. I have to warn you, though. The warehouse is very dark, so I'd recommend that you turn on the nightvision. You will have to press the N key. Deal with the remaining enemy soldiers (#1). Use the stairs. There's a passageway on your left. You must be very careful. A couple of enemy soldiers will arrive here shortly (#2). Kill them and proceed to the small exit.
Once you've reached your destination, turn left and start moving towards the stairs (#1). Head on to the upper floors. You will have an opportunity to kill some additional terrorists along the way (#2). You couldn't get them before... now's your chance. :-)
Once you're at the top, make sure that the rest of the team has joined you. Head on to the gunship. Press the X key in order to take a seat (#1). Wait for the rest of the squad to repeat this action. The helicopter will leave this area in a few seconds (#2). Thanks to that, you have accomplished the first mission of the campaign.
Once you've completed each mission, you will be transferred to the equipment screen. Here you will have an opportunity to arm the team members (including yourself) with new weapons and/or additional equipment. Furthermore, you have an opportunity to arm some of the weapons with different upgrades. The choice is yours, however I would recommend that you pick the upgrades wisely. I've decided to suggest some of the weapons, although this is a matter of a free choice. You might as well pick something on your own.
Mitchell (team leader) - it would be best to stick close to the same weapon that you have used before. Additionally, I'd recommend arming it with one of the available upgrades. Combatsight seems like a good idea. Alternatively you could take a sniper rifle (M99 Sniper) with you. If you decide to choose this weapon, it would be best to take a MP5 (with a Combatsight attached to it) as a secondary weapon. You should know that this combination will make running and aiming a little bit harder. If you took the machine gun, I'd recommend choosing the ZEUS rocket launcher from the additional equipment list. Thanks to it, you will be able to take out vehicles, tanks or even gunships.
The rest of the squad - Brown and Allen should stick close to their default weapons. Kirkland, on the other hand, should receive something else. Additionally, you may go ahead and arm his weapon with some of the available upgrades.
Threats: The first part of the mission is by far the most difficult one. I guess this may surprise you a little bit. You will make your way to a huge square that's going to be occupied by some massive enemy forces. Furthermore, even stronger units will arrive in this area, mainly because you will have to get back to the square later during this mission. The second part will require you to be on a look out for enemy snipers. Most of them will be hiding on roofs of the surrounding buildings, so it would be best to use the tactical view from time to time. The final part of the mission requires that you destroy an enemy tank. Thankfully, that won't be a problem. If you've chosen the sniper rifle, you will have to save up your ammo. Each of the bullets should reach its target. You shouldn't also forget about the possibility of using the MP5. If you have a standard machine gun, change the rate of fire to single bullets instead of long bursts.
Main objective: You will have to locate and rescue two civilians. They have probably been kidnapped by the rebel forces. Their last known positions will be shown on your map. You will have to go there, rescue them, secure the area and finally reach the extraction zone. It's going to be located on the roof of a large car park.
Walkthrough: You start off inside a helicopter (#1). It's a good moment to take a closer look at your surroundings. Thankfully, you won't have to anything in particular at the moment. You may also listen to what the commanding officers have to say. Once you're at your destination, press the X key in order to leave the gunship (#2). You'll slide down on the rope. CHECKPOINT 1.
Gather the rest of the team around you. After that, start moving towards the designated area. You shouldn't have any problems finding the right path. Be careful, though. One of the first groups of enemy soldiers is located nearby (#1). It would be best to lean out in order to get rid of the terrorists safely. You can also use the sniper rifle. You will have to be careful, because some of the enemies may actually try a direct approach. You will have to kill them with a machine gun (#2). You could also ask your teammates for help, although it's not necessary. You should be able to handle this problem on your own.
Start moving towards the larger street. I would recommend that you duck behind one of the parked cars. You should be able to take out a few soldiers from here (#1). You might also ask the rest of the team for help. Once all of the enemies are gone, head on to the opposite end of this road (#2). Once again, you must be very careful. It would be best to stick close to larger objects. You would be able to use them for cover (if needed).
You should be able to reach your destination without any major problems (#1). There aren't any new enemies in this area, however you must be very careful, because you might have missed someone. CHECKPOINT 2. Keep moving towards the large wall. Once you're there, turn left. I would recommend that you leave the rest of the team behind. Start moving forward (#2).
Now for the hard part. You will have to secure a large square. This is the most difficult part of the mission. The square is being occupied by A LOT of soldiers. I would recommend that you lean out CAREFULLY and take a closer look at your surroundings (#1). Remember to keep the rest of the team behind. Start using the tactical view in order to spot them (#2). You should also know that some of them will try to surprise you by making a frontal attack. You have to be ready for that!!
It would be best to use a sniper rifle during these fights... that is - if you have this weapon with you. Try and use the nearby wall for cover. Remember that you can't stay in the open for too long. Thankfully, you shouldn't have any problems with most of the enemies (#1). Like I've said before, a few of them will get closer (#2). Use the machine gun to take them out, although sometimes you won't have enough time to change the weapon. You could also move back and let the rest of the team handle this problem.
I would recommend that you use the tactical map frequently. Thanks to that, you won't be surprised by any of the remaining enemy soldiers. As I've said before, move back a little if that actually occurs (#1). The rest of the team will kill them without any problems. Before moving on any further, you will also have to take out all of the soldiers who were standing by the heavy machine guns. One of them is located on your left (#2). You should also leave at least 10-12 sniper bullets for later.
Once you've cleared out the whole square, gather the rest of the team around you and start moving towards the designated area. You should be able to notice an enemy vehicle in just a few seconds (#1). First of all, you will have to take out the gunner, mostly because your squad would have serious problems with him. Next, start shooting at the enemy soldiers. They will exit the vehicle (#2). Alternatively you could use the rocket launcher to destroy the humvee.
Keep moving towards the location where the first VIP has been kidnapped (#1). There aren't any new enemies nearby, however you should be extra careful (as always...). CHECKPOINT 3. There are a lot of paths leading to your destination. I'd recommend choosing the alley that's located in front of you (#2). Be careful. There may be some new terrorists here. You will have to kill them all before moving on any further.
You will have to reach the opposite end of this passageway. There's a small corridor here (#1). Head on to that location. Once again, I'd recommend that you leave the rest of the squad behind. Activate the tactical view. You should notice a lot of enemy units nearby. The terrorists are guarding the square with the presidential limousine. You will have to lean out carefully. Try taking out a few of them (#2). You may also use some of the carried grenades. Just make sure that you throw them properly. You'll have some problems with the guy that's standing by the heavy machine gun. Use the sniper rifle (aim at his head).
Once you've dealt with the visible enemy units, start moving towards the main square. You MUST be very careful. Keep using the tactical view (#1). It'll help to you pick a suitable route. Furthermore, you may notice additional units. There are some new enemy soldiers on your left (#2). You will have to take them out quickly. I wouldn't recommend sending the whole squad to kill them.
Make sure that the area is clear before you decide to proceed any further. Gather the rest of the team around you and start moving towards the presidential limousine (#1). Once you're there, the game will finish this part of the mission. You will be given a new task in just a moment. CHECKPOINT 4.
This is a rather simple objective. You will have to defend against enemy attacks. Thankfully, you will be attacked by a rather small group of enemy soldiers. Nevertheless, you must find a good cover. Order your team to hide in a dark spot, near the limousine (#2). You should be able to kill most of the terrorists from here. Remember to use walls for extra protection.
The first group of enemy soldiers will arrive on the square in just a few seconds (#1). It would be best to let your teammates handle most of the terrorists. They shouldn't have any major problems with this task. There's a total of 6-7 soldiers for you to kill. CHECKPOINT 5.
Now you will have to go back to the previous square, the one that you have cleared out a few minutes ago. You'll organize a small diversion. Start moving forward (#2). Bear in mind that new enemy units will appear on the map. As a result, you will have to move very carefully.
Once again, the most difficult fights await you near the main square of this part of the map. You've cleared out this area before. Sadly, there are new enemy soldiers here. Most of them will arrive in a humvee (#1). The vehicle will make a stop at the other side of the square. You may allow your teammates to take part in these fights. You, on the other hand, must concentrate all of your efforts on taking down the gunner (#2). Otherwise your squad members would have some serious problems avoiding his attacks. Make sure that you have secured the whole area.
Start moving towards the designated area of the map (#1). The rest of the team should be following your lead. CHECKPOINT 6. You won't encounter any units at this particular moment. The next group is located near the large truck. It would be best to lean out and kill most of the soldiers (#2). You don't have to use the sniper rifle during these fights, mostly because the terrorists are nearby. DON'T go there just yet. There are two snipers here. You will have to kill them first.
The first sniper is hiding on a roof of the right building (#1). You will have to position yourself correctly in order to take him down safely. You'll be able to use the machine gun. Make sure you're aiming at his head. You could also throw a couple of grenades at him. The second sniper is a little bit further (#2). You may allow the whole team to start shooting at him.
You may proceed to the next section. There's only one path leading to your destination at this point of the game (#1). Thankfully, you shouldn't encounter any new units along the way, although you must be very careful. You should be getting closer to your destination. Once you've got only 60-70 meters left, leave the rest of the squad behind. Lean out carefully. You will have to aim at the tanker. As a result, there's going to be a HUGE explosion (#2). CHECKPOINT 7.
It's very important, that you DON'T wait for the new objective to show up on the screen. There's an enemy tank heading towards the destroyed area. As you've probably suspected, you will have to avoid it all costs. Alternatively you could use the rocket launcher, although this is not necessary. Move back a little. There's a small alley on your right (#1). You will have to go there with the rest of the team. You will encounter first terrorist units very shortly (#2). Furthermore, your opponents will be located in many different spots. Start killing them. Make sure you're using walls and large objects for much needed cover.
Once you've entered a larger area, I would recommend that you use the sniper rifle in order to get rid of the enemy soldiers (#1). Be careful, though. Some of the terrorists may surprise your team from the back. You will have to be ready for that. You should also use the tactical view frequently. I would recommend that you leave at least 2-3 sniper bullets for later. Keep moving forward (#2). It would be best to go through small alleys, mostly because they won't be occupied by larger groups of enemy soldiers.
You will have to reach the large car park. One of the safest routes leads through a new alley, located between large buildings (#1). This time you will have to be extra careful. There may be some additional units here (#2). You will have to deal with this threat swiftly. Thankfully, you should be able to spot most of the terrorists by taking a look at the tactical view.
You will have to reach the opposite alley (#1). It's not hard to locate. Head on to this location. The rest of the team should be following you. Once you've reached a junction, choose the path that's located on your left. You will have to deal with the remaining enemy soldiers here (#2). The rest of the team should provide a cover fire during these fights. Eliminating all of the terrorists will allow you to accomplish this mission objective.
Start heading towards a new mission objective. As you've probably suspected, you will have to deal with the additional enemy units along the way (#1). There's going to be at least two-three terrorists here. Be careful, though. Some of them will be hiding, so you won't notice them at first glance. Once they're gone, head on to the large underground car park (#2).
Once you've reached a new junction, turn right. You shouldn't have any problems locating the entrance to an underground car park (#1). Be careful, though. There are some ALLIED soldiers inside. DON'T even think about shooting them. Instead, keep moving towards your current objective. You will have to get closer to the UAV (#2). A second VIP is hiding inside the vehicle. CHECKPOINT 8.
The last part of this mission is a little bit tricky. You might have some problems with it, especially since you don't know what exactly has to be done. First of all, order your team members to stay inside the car park. Alternatively they could start following you. The most important thing is that they aren't left near the entrance. You will have to use a platform that leads to an upper level of the car park (#1).
Turn left and locate the second platform. You should find yourself on a roof of the car park. Before you proceed any further, you will have to deal with two enemy snipers. One of them will be shooting at the allied gunship (#2). He must die first.
Wait for the allied gunship to land (#1). Start moving towards it. Once you're there, press the X button. The game will open the equipment screen for you. Here you'll be able to replenish your ammo. You can also choose a new weapon. If you're still carrying the sniper rifle, you might consider taking one of the machine guns. Open the additional equipment screen. You will have to take the ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher (#2). You'll use it in just a few seconds.
As you've probably suspected, you will use the newly acquired rocket launcher against an enemy tank. I would recommend that you stay on the roof of the car park. Head on to the designated area. You shouldn't have any problems locating the tank. Take the rocket launcher from the gun menu. Press and hold the right mouse button in order to start aiming at the tank. Wait for the 'Target locked' information to appear. Now you will have to press the left mouse button in order to fire the missile. Thanks to that, you'll destroy the tank (#2). You may also take care of the remaining enemy troops, although this won't be necessary.
You won't have to protect the UAV that was hiding inside the car park. The vehicle will leave this area on its own (#1).
Once again, you will have to make your way to the roof of the car park. This time the rest of the team must be following you. Start moving towards the gunship (#2).
Just as before, get closer to the gunship and press the X key (#1). Your character will take a seat inside the gunship. Now you will have to wait for the rest of the team members to join you. After that, the gunship will leave this area (#2) and the mission will come to an end.
Once again, the game will open the equipment screen. You should know exactly what has to be done here. The decision on whether to stay with the current weapon or pick something else is entirely up to you.
Threats: The first part of the mission will require you to deal with small groups of enemy soldiers. Furthermore, they won't be equipped very well. It's going to get tougher very soon. You will have to avoid enemy snipers at least several times. There are also a few terrorists armed with rocket launchers. The final part of the mission is going to be VERY difficult. At first, you will have to deal with at least three heavy machine gun posts. After that, you'll destroy some tanks. You will have to hold a designated area against massive enemy attacks. These are going to be some of the most difficult fights of the entire game.
Main objective: The first objective is very simple. You will have to clear a way for an allied convoy, the one that's transporting a second VIP. Your team will have to secure all of the surrounding sectors. Once you've reached the embassy, you will have to defend this area against enemy attacks, mostly because the allied forces won't be able to provide any immediate help.
Walkthrough: Just as before, you start off inside an allied gunship (#1). You'll probably notice a few explosions along the way. Don't panic and don't even think about wasting your ammo. CHECKPOINT 1. Ignore the enemy troops. You'll deal with them once you're on the ground. Wait for the gunship to stop. Press the X key in order to use the rope (#2).
Once you're on the ground, position yourself by the small brick wall. Start leaning out carefully (#1). You will have to take care of the nearby terrorists (#2). You shouldn't have any major problems with that, especially since there are only few of them. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend moving any further. You have to make sure that the area has been secured. Use the tactical view to help you out. Once all of the terrorists are gone, you will complete the first objective of this mission. CHECKPOINT 2.
Now you will have to organize an ambush against a small convoy that's heading towards a nearby square. Gather the rest of the team around you and start moving forward (#1). You will have to reach a large square (#2). You shouldn't have any problems locating it, especially since there's a fountain here. You will have a few seconds to give orders to the rest of the team. Remember that your colleagues should be standing by walls or other large objects that can be used for cover. Wait for the convoy to show up.
I would recommend that you stand by one of the pillars (#1). You should be able to see most of the square from here. You will also have an opportunity to hide (if needed). The convoy will arrive here in a few seconds. Start off by taking out the gunner, mostly because he would be a serious threat to the safety of your team (#2). Once he's gone, start shooting at the remaining enemy soldiers. You should be able to surprise most of them, so you won't have to use the tactical view. You must kill them all in order to close up this part of the mission. CHECKPOINT 3.
Gather the rest of the team around you and start moving towards your new destination (#1). It's a long walk ahead of you, so you shouldn't be surprised to see some additional enemy units along the way. You mustn't hurry, mostly because you won't be able to spot some of the enemy soldiers at first. There's also a second humvee nearby (#2). Take out the gunner. Once he's gone, deal with the remaining terrorists.
You may proceed to the next section (#1). You have to be very careful at this point of the mission. One of the nearby roofs is being guarded by two enemy soldiers (#2). They are located near the neutralized humvee. One of the terrorists will probably be armed with a rocket launcher. It would be wise to take him out from a distance. You could also ask your sniper for help. He should be able to take out both terrorists without any problems.
Keep moving towards a designated drop point. You should have about 350 meters to your destination. If you take a close look at the map, you should be able to spot some additional terrorists (#1). Move to their position carefully. It would be best to surprise them (#2). You may also ask the team for help.
Keep moving towards the secured area. You shouldn't encounter any new units in the vicinity. There's a small platform that leads to the roof (#1). It's been previously occupied by a few terrorists. You may use it to reach the roof. Move a little bit closer to the edge and take out one of the terrorists (#2). It's risky, but you shouldn't have any problems. Get back to the ground floor and rejoin with the rest of the squad.
Now you will have to position your team correctly. The objective will be to secure a nearby street. It's going to be occupied by a few terrorists (#1). Make sure that all of your team members are standing by objects that can be used for cover. Once you've dealt with the first group of enemy soldiers, start moving forward. You have to be extra careful, mostly because you'll encounter additional opponents in just a few seconds. You will have to reach the opposite end of this street (#2). It shouldn't be much of a problem...
There are a lot of narrow alleys ahead of you. Sadly, most of them will be occupied by enemy forces. As a result, you must be very careful. Use walls and cars for extra cover. I would recommend that you leave the rest of team at some point (#1). There are a lot of terrorists nearby. Start off by taking out those bandits who are standing on your right (#2). I guess I don't have to say that you have to be leaning out a lot.
The rest of the team may join you now. Head on to a nearby junction. The last group of enemy soldiers is going to be located on your left (#1). It would be best to use your scope in order to take them out without any major problems. You will have to secure this whole area. I would recommend that you use the tactical view to make sure that no one's here (#2). It's very important to have this area secured, mostly because you will come across a first machine gun post in just a few seconds.
Start moving forward. Stand by a yellow van (#1). The current mission objective is going to be delayed. There's a new task for you to deal with at this particular moment. CHECKPOINT 4.
First of all, you should know that there are THREE enemy machine gun posts in the area. You will have to take them out. The first machine gun post is located at the opposite end of this alley (#2). You will have to order your team to hold this position or to retreat. The objective is to not let them being harmed by the machine gun fire.
I would recommend that you try and surprise the gunner from the left side. If you're quick enough, you should be able to take him out without being harmed (#1). You must aim at his head, as this is the only weak spot. Head on to this location (with the whole team). The second machine gun post is on your right (#2).
Head on to the small alley (alone). If you're lucky, you should be able to surprise a soldier who's standing by the second machine gun post (#1). Once he's gone, order your team to join you. Now you will have to turn left. There's a large street ahead of you (#2). Take out the visible enemy soldiers before you decide to move on any further. The rest of the team should help you in these fights.
The rest of the team MUST remain here. Otherwise you would have lost your entire squad. The last machine gun post is located at the opposite end of this street. Just as before, we'll try and surprise the gunner. Start moving forward. Once you're closer to the machine gun post, lie down on the ground. Keep moving forward (#1). Try moving to your right. You should be able to kill the gunner (#2). This time you may try aiming at his legs. Alternatively, you could also use the grenades. Once he's gone, order the rest of the team to join you. Your team members will probably take care of a few additional terrorists along the way. Don't worry. They'll be fine.
Wait for the whole team to show up. Turn right. You will have to start moving forward (#1). We'll take care of the well-defended vehicle first. Once you've reached a small junction, turn right (#2). That's where the ADAT is going to be located.
You shouldn't have any major problems locating the first ADAT (#1). Notice that there are a lot of terrorists standing by it. DON'T even think about getting closer. Instead, we'll destroy the machine from here. You will have to be aiming at the ADAT. Enter the menu and choose the 'Attack' option (#2). The ADAT will explode in just a few seconds. Take care of those terrorists who have actually survived the attack.
You should know that an enemy humvee will arrive here very shortly (#1). Take out its gunner. Once he's gone, deal with the remaining enemy soldiers (#2). You could also use a rocket launcher or a couple of grenades, although these objects aren't necessary for this action to succeed.
Finding the second ADAT isn't as easy as it seems. The vehicle is located near the third machine gun post. It should be parked by one of the buildings (#1). Just as before, you will have to organize an air strike in order to get rid of it (#2). As a result, you will complete this mission objective. Get ready for the next one.
This is a very simple task, especially since you've eliminated all of the nearby soldiers. You will have to go back to the previous street. An allied gunship will land here in a few seconds (#1). Get close to it and press the X key in order to enter the equipment screen (#2). You should replenish your ammo. If you have a sniper rifle with you, exchange it to a standard machine gun. Furthermore, you might consider taking the rocket launcher with you. CHECKPOINT 5.
Turn around and start moving towards a large roundabout (#1). You've probably seen it before. It leads to the US embassy. Once you're half way through, the game will save your progress. CHECKPOINT 6. Get ready for some interesting fireworks. The US embassy will... explode in a few seconds (#2)!!
As you've probably suspected, you will have to rescue the second VIP. He is lying on the floor, inside the destroyed embassy. Start running towards it (#1). The VIP can be found in a designated spot (#2). You will have to protect him against enemy attacks. I would recommend that you order your team to take positions inside the embassy. It's crucial that your teammates aren't standing outside. Otherwise they would have died almost instantly. You should also find a suitable cover.
The first group of enemy soldiers will appear on your left (#1). It might surprise you a little bit. The terrorists came through a hole in the wall. They will try to kill a protected VIP. You will have to defend him at all costs. The second group will appear here later during this mission. Now you will have to focus your attention on the roundabout area. New enemy soldiers will appear there in a few seconds. Some of them will arrive inside vehicles. You will have to kill the gunners (#2), mostly because they pose a quite serious threat.
A first enemy tank (yes! there's going to be more of them ;-)) will arrive here very shortly (#1). You will have to deal with this problem swiftly. Choose the Apache option from the main menu (instead of a usual teammate). You must use the crosshair to lock on the target. Order the gunship to destroy the tank (#2). Before that happens, make sure that none of your squad members gets hit. All of your teammates must be hiding inside the embassy!
A new objective should appear on your screen in a few seconds. You should be happy about it, because you'll have one problem less to worry about. Go back to the wounded VIP. You will have to press the X key in order to pick him up (#1). Bear in mind that you'll become harmless for a short period of time. Start moving towards an allied gunship (#2). Place the VIP inside and get back to the embassy IMMEDIATELY!! You have to be very quick about it, because more enemy troops will arrive here shortly.
Sadly, you won't be able to extract your team just yet. This is by far the most difficult part of the entire mission. You will have to defend yourself against enemy attacks. The terrorists will be coming from every possible direction (#1). The most important thing is to find a good shooting spot. You should also know that you will have two deal with two OTHER tanks. Both of them will have to be destroyed quickly (#2). Once again, you'll use the Apache to help you out with this problem. Remember that you can't stay in the open for too long. Otherwise the tanks would have spotted you.
You will have to hold on for about two minutes. After that, an allied Blackhawk will return to the embassy area (#1). DON'T leave this area just yet. You will have to deal with ALL of the remaining enemy soldiers. Thankfully, you shouldn't have any problems spotting them. It's very important that they die, because it'll ensure a safe extraction. Thankfully, the crew of the gunship should help you out during these fights. Nevertheless, you can't stay in the open. Use walls and other large objects for cover.
Once you've secured the whole area, start moving towards the Blackhawk (#1). The rest of the team should be following you. Press the X button to take a seat inside. After that, this mission will come to an end (#2).
Threats: The main problem of this mission will involve spotting your opponents, not killing them (in most cases it'll be rather easy). The environment won't be too helpful. Most of the canyons and small alleys are fairly dark. Sadly, you won't be able to use the nightvision all the time, mostly because you'll miss those terrorists who are standing on top of the buildings (mostly snipers). As a result, you will have to be extra careful. All moves must be planned. The second part of the mission is a lot more difficult. There are a lot of snipers in the area. You will also have to avoid stationary machine gun posts. There's a tank near the end of this mission, however you should be able to get rid of it without any major problems.
Main objective: At first, your team will have to locate and blow up two bunkers that are currently occupied by enemy forces. It'll allow some of the allied troops to enter a nearby city. The second part of the mission consists mostly of taking control of an enemy camp. You will also destroy a couple of armored vehicles.
Walkthrough: Just as before, you start off inside an allied gunship (#1). You don't have to do anything in particular, so you may as well observe your surroundings. Wait for the gunship to reach its destination. Once it's there, press the X key in order to reach the ground safely (#2). CHECKPOINT 1.
Like I've said before, you should try using your nightvision goggles, especially when moving in darker areas. Bear in mind, though, that you won't be able to spot all enemy units. You will have to turn it off once in a while. Start off by moving forward (#1). There's only one path leading to the first section of the map, so you can't get lost. You should be able to reach a brighter area within just a few seconds. There's a small reservoir nearby. The rest of the team should be left behind.
You should be crouching at all times. Get closer to the water and position yourself by the small rocks. Turn right. You should notice a few terrorists on the other side of the water. It would be best if you killed them right now (#1). There should be at least three of them. Once they're gone, head on to the first checkpoint. I'd recommend that you use a small road that's located on your right (#2).
You should be able to reach your destination without any problems. Head on to the allied UAV. Once you're there, press the X button in order to finish up with this mission objective (#1). You will also have an opportunity to arm yourself with a new weapon, however it's not necessary. CHECKPOINT 2.
Turn right. There's a small, dark road here (#2). You will have to go there with the whole squad. Bear in mind, however, that in most cases you'll be on your own. Nevertheless, it's best to have the whole squad with you.
Try getting closer to the first watch tower. There's a single terrorist there. You will have to kill him (#1). Make sure that you aren't noticed. Turn left. The next soldier stands by one of the heavy machine guns (#2). There's one more on the other side of a small road. We'll deal with him a little bit later.
Turn right and make a few steps forward. If you've taken a closer look at the tactical view, you've probably noticed at least two other soldiers. Lean out carefully and kill them (#1). Thankfully, they shouldn't even fight back. DON'T move any further. There are some terrorists in a distance. They should arrive here shortly. You will also have to kill them (#2). Use a nearby wall for cover. You should also check the tactical view again in order to make sure that you've killed all of them.
It would be best to let your teammates take care of the remaining enemy troops. Make sure you've secured the whole area (#1), especially killing two soldiers who were standing by the heavy machine gun posts. Get closer to the main road. There's a single soldier hiding near the upper bunker (#2). You might not see him at first glance. Make sure you've used the tactical view.
It would be best if you ignored the explosions. You will have to watch out, on the other hand, for snipers and terrorists. They will be hiding inside bunkers. Order your team to secure the nearby area. That's where the killed terrorist was standing (#1). Once they've completed this objective, join them (#2). Make sure that everyone's there. Order your team to stay here. Start moving towards the upper bunker.
You will have to kill AT LEAST two other soldiers along the way. The first terrorist will be standing on your left (#1). You shouldn't have any problems with him. Just make sure you're aiming at his head or torso. Get closer to the entrance. There's a second terrorist here. He's guarding this area, so you shouldn't have any problems with him (#2). Just as before, I'd recommend aiming at his head.
The terrorists are hiding in a nearby room of the bunker. You'll have to make a surprise attack (#1). There should be three of them here, so make sure you've killed everyone before you decide to move any further. I wouldn't recommend using grenades here, because you probably would have ended up dead. Once the bunker is secured, head on to the highlighted spot in order to set the charge (#2).
I guess you should know what has to be done right now. Start running towards the exit because the bunker will explode in just a few seconds. You won't have much time to get out of there safely. You can watch the explosion if you want to (#1). CHECKPOINT 3. Now you will have to reach the second bunker. Rejoin with the rest of the squad. Be careful, though. There may be some new terrorists on your right. You might want to consider letting your teammates handle this problem (#2).
I would recommend that you head on to one of the narrow alleys located between buildings (#1). You will have to reach some nearby rocks. From here, you shouldn't have any problems locating the second bunker. Start moving towards it (#2). Choosing this path allowed you to avoid being seen by the terrorists who are hiding inside the bunker.
Once you're closer to the bunker entrance, I would recommend that you leave the rest of the squad behind. Start moving towards a small hill that's located on your right. You should notice a single soldier here. Take him out quickly (#1). Order your team to get there. The objective is to let them take care of the second terrorist (#2). Once again, order your soldiers to stay here for a while.
You can proceed to the bunker entrance (#1). You shouldn't have any problems locating it. Once you're inside, head on to a small junction. Take care of the visible enemy units. Bear in mind, though, that you won't have to explore a room that's located in front of you. Instead, turn left. There's only two gunners here, so you shouldn't have any problems taking them out (#2). Set the charge, get back to your squad and wait for the explosion to occur. CHECKPOINT 4.
This is a very simple task. You will only have to reach a nearby landing zone in order to pick up new charges from an allied gunship. Start moving towards your destination. I would recommend that you choose a small path that's located on your right (#1). Thanks to that, you shouldn't come across any units. Head on to the gunship (#2). Press the X button in order to take the C4. You can also arm yourself with new weapons. CHECKPOINT 5.
Now you will have to return to the entrance that lead to a destroyed bunker (#1). Take the same road in order to avoid being spotted by additional enemy units. Start moving towards the main road. If you took a close look at the map, you've probably noticed that some new units have arrived in the area. There's also an armored vehicle here. Stand by one of the walls. You should be able to surprise some of the enemy soldiers (#2).
You will have to be very careful here, mostly because some of the terrorists may actually try a direct approach (#1). You will have to kill them very quickly. Otherwise you would have ended up dead. You should also take out the gunner that was left inside an armored vehicle. Once he's gone, order your squad to get here. Your teammates shouldn't have any problems killing the rest of the enemy soldiers. There's only a few of them left.
There are some very difficult fights ahead of you. Most of the enemy soldiers will be hiding between buildings. There's a lot of them separating you from the power plant. I would recommend that you pick the path that's located on the right (#1). You should avoid a lot of enemies that way. Nevertheless, it's very dangerous here. You should also watch out for enemy snipers. One of them is standing on a roof of a large building (#2).
You should be able to reach a path that's leading directly to the power plant (#1). Start moving towards the top of the hill. The rest of the team must be following your lead. You'll be encountering additional enemy forces along the way. Take care of a few terrorists that'll be standing on your right (#2). Your team will take care of the rest of the enemy soldiers. Bear in mind, though, that there may be still snipers in the area.
You should be getting closer to the power plant (#1). There aren't any new units in the vicinity. You will have to watch out for the plant itself. This area is being defended by a number of enemy soldiers. I would recommend that you let your teammates handle this problem (#2). Your squad members shouldn't have any problems with that task.
Make sure that the area is secured. Order your team to get back to the road that lead to the top of the hill. You, on the other hand, must reach a designated point. There's a highlighted spot here. As you've probably suspected, you'll have to place the C4 (#1). Move back to a safe distance and wait for the explosion to occur (#2). CHECKPOINT 6.
Before you'll be able to proceed to the main camp area, you'll have to destroy an enemy roadblock. I have to warn you that it won't be too easy. Gather the rest of the team around your position and start moving towards the first checkpoint (#1). I'd recommend that you choose a path that's located on your right (#2). Thanks to that, you will reach a small hill safely. You will also have an opportunity to surprise enemy units from the flank. Keep moving towards the roadblock. It would be best to leave the team behind for a few seconds.
Try getting closer to the roadblock. You should be about 60-70 meters away from it (#1). A new feature will be added to your menu. You'll have an opportunity to ask the artillery for help. The most important thing is that you have an enemy tank on your crosshair (#2). Only then you will be able to ask the artillery for help. Once the tank is destroyed, order your team to team up with you. I would also recommend that you take a look at the tactical view in order to plan your next movements.
You could order your squad members to make a frontal attack, however there are still some heavy machine gun posts in the area. It would be best to take them out first. Start moving towards the designated area. You have to be very careful. I would recommend that you lean out a lot (#1). You should also know that some of the enemy soldiers will be standing behind cover (#2), so you won't notice them at first glance.
As always, you'll have some major problems with the heavy machine gun posts (#1). You will have to take out the gunners quickly. Make sure you're aiming at their heads or legs. Once all of the terrorists are gone, you'll be able to proceed to the last part of this mission. CHECKPOINT 7.
You will have to destroy three artillery vehicles. Thankfully, their locations are visible on your HUD, so you won't have to waste your time searching for them. Start moving towards an enemy camp. Be careful, though. There may still be some snipers in the area (#2). Thankfully, you should be able to spot most of them without any major problems. You could also ask your teammates for help.
I would recommend that you start off with the artillery unit that's located on your right. There's a large path leading to it (#1). Thankfully, it's not defended at all. You will have to be careful, though. The terrorists are guarding your objective. You should make a surprise attack against them (#2). Make sure that everyone's dead before you proceed any further.
I think it's the right time to take care of an armored vehicle. You shouldn't have any problems locating your objective (#1). You should also know exactly what has to be done. Give a specific order to an allied gunship. You can wait for the explosion if you want to (#2). Now we will try and reach the second artillery unit, the one that was located in the middle.
It would be best to choose a small path that's located by the rocks. You should be getting close to your second objective. Bear in mind that there are some terrorists in this area, especially on your left (#1). Once they're gone, get closer to an armored vehicle. Lean out carefully and take out the single terrorist. Now you will only have to take care of the artillery unit. Just as before, move back and wait for the fireworks. Alternatively you could proceed to the final objective without any delays.
I would recommend that you turn right. There's a dark passageway here (#1). You should be able to avoid the main camp area, however it doesn't mean that you won't have to kill at least a few terrorists along the way. Thankfully, your teammates should provide help during these fights. Head on to an abandoned armored vehicle. There's a small road here. It leads to a large hill (#2). Go there with the rest of the squad.
Keep moving upwards. Be careful, though. There's a single terrorist here (#1). You can take him out on your own or let your teammates handle this small problem. The third armored vehicle is located by the rocks, on your right. If you position yourself properly, you will be able to aim at him from here (the top of the vehicle). Just as before, wait for the allied gunship to arrive (#2). CHECKPOINT 8.
You must now reach the extraction zone. Given our current situation you won't have to move anywhere because it's located right here. That's why I've decided to finish up with the mission objectives in a presented order. The only thing left to do here is to wait for an allied gunship to arrive (#1). Get in. Once you're in the air (#2), the mission will end.
Once you're at the equipment screen, you will only choose a weapon for Mitchell. This is not a bug. It's simply because you'll be operating on your own during the next mission of the campaign.
Threats: This is a first night mission, so you will have to deal with a terrible visibility. As a result, you must have your nightvision goggles turned on all the time. You will have an opportunity to use the drone, however it won't be able to spot all of the enemy soldiers. Furthermore, some of the areas are going to be scrambled. It'll make a drone useless there. Thankfully, you'll take out these spots later in the mission. Another thing you should be worried about are the stationary heavy machine gun posts. They will be very difficult to neutralize. Additionally, you won't be able spot some of them at first glance, so you have to be using the tactical view all the time. Remember that you aren't rushed by anything or anyone.
Main objective: The first part of the mission will require you to take out three mobile anti-aircraft vehicles. One of them is scrambling the radio signal, so it'll be very important to destroy it in the first place. Next, you'll move on to a nearby castle. There are two armored vehicles that need to be destroyed. You will have to find them first.
Walkthrough: This is a rather unique mission. The most important thing is that you'll have to operate on your own. Thankfully, you'll be able to use the drone. You've probably noticed that the mission takes place during the night. Like I've said before, you must be using your nightvision goggles. You start off inside a gunship. There are a lot of explosions nearby (#1). Wait for the gunship to land inside a large park (#2). That's where the whole mission is going to take place. Exit the gunship. CHECKPOINT 1.
I recommend that you take your time. Remember that you won't receive any backup here, besides the drone that I've already mentioned. You should be moving slowly. It's also very important to scan your surroundings by using the drone. Start heading towards the first ADA unit (#1). You might want to consider activating the drone for the first time (#2). You should remember that it's best to give orders to it by using the tactical view. Make sure that the area is clear before you decide to step on to a new one.
It would be best to find a good shooting spot by the rocks that are located on your right. It's near the crash site. A small group of terrorists will arrive here shortly (#1). There should be three of them. You will have to deal with this problem swiftly. If you're lucky, you should be able to surprise them. Send the drone to the first objective. It appears that a single soldier is guarding the ADA unit (#2). Lean out carefully and take him out from a distance. You may proceed to your objective. There aren't any new units in the area.
You shouldn't have any problems with this part of the mission, mostly because the ADA unit is harmless to you. Step up to the highlighted spot. You will have to press the X key in order to place a C4 charge (#1). Move back and wait for the explosion to occur (#2). CHECKPOINT 2.
Now you will have to take out a second ADA unit. It's very important because it scrambles the radio signal. As a result, you won't be able to use the drone inside the scrambled zone. DON'T go there just yet. A large group of enemy soldiers will arrive near the entrance (#1). You will have to make a surprise attack. Kill all enemy soldiers. Once they're gone, head on to the main area of the park. The second group will be located on your right. Use the drone to help you locate them (#2). Position yourself correctly and take them out from a safe distance.
Start moving towards the central area of the park. You've got to be very careful. There are some new enemies on your left (#1). Just as before, it would be best to kill them from a large distance. Make sure that the area is clear before you move on any further. You should be able to reach the scrambled zone very soon (#2). Don't worry, the ADA unit is very easy to find. Sadly, you won't be able to use the drone here.
Like I've said before, you shouldn't have any problems locating the ADA unit, especially since it's in a very obvious place (#1). Additionally, its lights were turned on. The main problem is that the area is swarming with enemy troops. It would be best to find a good shooting spot. Start aiming at the enemy soldiers (#2). You will have to secure the whole area around the ADA unit. Thankfully, you can still use the tactical map. It's best to zoom in the view. You should be able to spot a few additional units.
There's one soldier that you've probably overlooked. He's patrolling the area by the two large buildings (#1). You MUST kill him right now. Proceed to your objective. You should encounter a few additional units along the way (#2). Make sure everyone's dead.
Get closer to the ADA unit. You have to make sure that no one's here. Head on to the highlighted spot. It's located on the left side of the vehicle (#1). Place the charge and move back to a safe distance. Now you will only have to wait for the ADA unit to explode (#2). CHECKPOINT 3.
The good news is that you will have regain a possibility of scanning the area with a drone. The bad news is that the area is still occupied by a large number of enemy forces. Furthermore, new groups will arrive here shortly, inside TWO armored vehicles. We'll begin with the one that stopped closer to your position. It would be best to use a nearby building for cover. Use the drone to locate your opponents (#1). Be careful, though. One of them may be hiding by a brick wall. As a result, the drone won't find him. You should also take out the gunner (#2).
Start heading towards the second armored vehicle. This road also leads to your current destination. You should be able to spot a humvee very soon (#1). Take out its crew. Just as before, you could use the drone. Be careful, though. There may be some snipers in the area. It would be best to take a closer look at the tactical view. Make sure you've killed everyone. One of the last groups will be located on your right, near the destroyed ADA unit (#2).
You may finally proceed to your objective. There's a small road that leads to a nearby hill. You will have to go there now (#1). You may also send a drone ahead of you in order to scan the area for enemy troops. You will have to take out a few terrorists that were guarding this road (#2).
Start moving towards the third ADA unit. Just as before, it would be best to scan the whole area with the drone (#1). It will come across a few large groups of enemy soldiers. It would be best to stay behind cover. Go ahead and kill a few visible terrorists (#2).
The drone MUST scan the whole area, including the nearby buildings. It will come up with locations of at least 5-6 enemy units. Most of them will be located on your left, however two enemy soldiers should be standing by a nearby building (#1). You MUST take care of this problem right now. Otherwise they would have surprised you later. Once they're gone, deal with the rest of enemy units (#2). Make sure you're using trees and walls for cover!
Thankfully, you can ignore those terrorists who are standing at the opposite end of this camp. Start running towards the ADA unit (#1). Just as before, you will have to stand by a highlighted spot and place the C4. Move back and wait for the explosion to occur (#2). You've just completed the first part of the mission. CHECKPOINT 4.
Bear in mind that some of the terrorists will start running towards the explosion area. Ignore them. Go back to the main area of the park. You must be very careful. You'll come across at least two new terrorists along the way (#1). Kill them quickly. There's only one road leading to the castle. It's located on your left (#2). You will have to go there now.
There are some additional units guarding the road to the castle. Thankfully, it's VERY EASY to take them out. You will have to use the drone in order to scan the area ahead of you (#1). Once you've located a group of soldiers, position yourself by a cover and take them out from a distance (#2). You will have to repeat this combination a few more times.
There's a small path leading to the castle. Be careful, though. You'll come across a single terrorist here (#1). You've got to take him out quickly. Once again, you will have to use the drone in order to scan the left camp (#2). That's where most of the terrorists are standing right now.
Before you focus your attention on the main camp area, you should take care of a small group of terrorists that should be located on your left. The second group is guarding a nearby entrance (#1). Once both of these teams are eliminated, turn right and move up a little bit closer. You will have to take down a soldier who's standing by a heavy machine gun (#2). Once he's gone, deal with the remaining terrorists. They will stop in a similar place. Make sure you don't expose yourself too much!
There's only one more soldier for you to deal with. He should be standing by a wall, near one of the tents. You will have an opportunity to surprise him from the right flank (#1). As a result, he won't even have a chance to fight back. You may proceed to the first artillery unit. There's an entrance near your position (#2).
DON'T move any further. You will have to make a stop here. The entrance is going to be heavily guarded, mostly by a stationery heavy machine gun post. Getting rid of it will be extremely difficult. The best way to do this would be by leaning out (#1). Alternatively you could also use the grenades. Once the gunner is gone, start killing the rest of the enemy soldiers. It would be best to use the drone. Thanks to that, you'll know exactly where they are standing (#2). Be careful, though. Some of the terrorists may actually try to leave the castle area.
MAKE SURE that all of your opponents have been killed. Enter the castle area. Turn right and make a few steps forward. Lie down on the ground in order to spot the enemy vehicle (#1). You should know what has to be done here. Order the Apache to destroy this target. Move back. You'll have one problem less to worry about (#2). CHECKPOINT 5.
Get back to the previous area. You've probably noticed a long path on your right. It's been previously defended by two terrorists (#1). You will have to go there now. Thankfully, there aren't any new units in the vicinity. Be careful, though. The new area is heavily defended. First of all, you will have to take out a heavy machine gun (#2). It's best to surprise it from the right flank. Just make sure you're not spotted first.
Don't go to the artillery unit just yet. You will have to take care of a few additional terrorists (#1). You should use the drone in order to know where are they standing. Nevertheless, use trees and trucks for cover. Once they're gone, get closer to your objective and target it. Thanks to that, an Allied gunship will be able to destroy it (#2). CHECKPOINT 6.
I wouldn't recommend waiting for the artillery unit to blow up. Start running towards the upper edge of the map. You'll have to reach the extraction zone. Thankfully, there's only one path leading to your destination (#1). It's very important that you don't stop because a lot of enemy units have appeared in the area. They will be chasing you (#2). Avoid most of these attacks. Keep moving towards your target.
If you've started this run early, you should be fine. The extraction zone is just around the corner (#1). There's a UAV parked there. You will have to get close to it. Press the X key in order to take a seat inside (#2). Now you will only have to wait for the mission to end itself.
Threats: For the most of the time this mission is going to be very simple. You shouldn't have any major problems with commanding your team, especially since you've done that many times before. You will be encountering small groups of enemy soldiers. There are only a few snipers and armored vehicles out there. The most difficult part of the mission will involve fighting TWO enemy gunships. You will have to destroy them on your own. I would recommend that you take a ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher with you, although this object won't be necessary. You might as well use the machine gun in order to take down both gunships. The final part of the mission will include giving orders to allied tanks. It's not easy as it seems, mostly because you'll have to protect them against terrorists armed with rocket launchers. You will have to take care of them in order to provide a safe passage for the tanks.
Main objective: You will have to reach and rescue a small group of prisoners. They are being held in a nearby camp. Next, you'll escort the tanks (along with the rescued crew) to an allied base. You should also know that you'll be able to command the whole squad during this mission.
Walkthrough: This time you'll start off inside the armored vehicle (#1). You will have to wait for the UAV to reach its destination. Next, let your teammates ahead of you. Press the X key in order to leave the armored vehicle (#2). CHECKPOINT 1.
This time you won't be operating near the urban environment. This doesn't mean, however, that you won't encounter any hostile units along the way. Start moving towards the main camp area. The first terrorist is going to be located in front of you (#1). You shouldn't have any problems spotting him. That's not all. There are more enemy units on a nearby hill (#2). It should be located on your right. Make sure you're using the tactical view, so you won't skip anyone.
There's a small passageway leading to the top of this small hill. That's where you killed the terrorists (#1). Go there now. You shouldn't have any problems locating a new group of enemy soldiers (#2). Just as before, you should be able to surprise them without any problems. Keep moving forward.
Keep moving towards the entrance to the main camp. You should be able to reach a junction within a few seconds. I would recommend that you choose the path that's located on your right. Thanks to that, you will be able to avoid a lot of difficult fights. You'll encounter a large stone arch along the way (#1). Continue moving forward. It would be best to leave the rest of the squad behind. You should get closer to the street on your own (#2).
First of all, you will have to get rid of TWO stationary heavy machine gun posts (#1). They are located near the entrance. It shouldn't be too hard to kill them, especially since the gunners are looking in the other direction. Next, you will have to start shooting at the remaining enemy soldiers. I would recommend that you let your team join you in these fights (#2). There are some snipers here and it would be best if your teammates handled this problem, mostly because these units aren't easy to spot.
Make sure that the area has been secured. Proceed to the designated spot. You will have to reach the entrance (#1). It shouldn't be guarded, so you'll be able to proceed to the next objective right away. CHECKPOINT 2.
I would recommend that you turn right. Keep moving close to the camp wall. I guess I don't have to remind you to be VERY careful. You'll be encountering single enemy units along the way (#2). As a result, you shouldn't have any problems killing them.
Remember to use walls and large objects for cover. There's a lot of open space here and you wouldn't want to expose yourself too much. There will be some soldiers here. Use the scope to take them out from a safe distance. You should be getting closer to the garage area (#1). You must be very careful here. This section of the map is well defended. There are some new terrorists on your left (#2). Just as before, you will have to use the scope.
Keep moving towards a designated building. There are some new terrorists on your left (#1). You will have to be very careful here. They're not easy to spot, so it would be best to let your team handle this problem. Members of your squad should also take care of one of the nearby snipers. You'd have some serious problems with him. Proceed to the main target (#2). You shouldn't be running towards your destination. Move carefully. You should also use the tactical view frequently in order to scan your surroundings.
First of all, order your teammates to take care of the nearby terrorists. They will be standing by the entrance to the building. You might want to help them during these fights (#1), although they shouldn't have any major problems with this task. Next, you will have to enter the building. Bear in mind that some of the terrorists will be guarding the prisoners. You will have to kill them quickly (#2). Alternatively you could order your team to enter the building from two different directions at once. You will have to kill all terrorists in order to complete this mission objective. CHECKPOINT 3.
The most difficult thing about this task is that you won't be able to control the prisoners in any way. As a result, you can't take part in ANY difficult fights, because they would have died instantly. Start off by moving forward. You must stick close to the right wall (#1). You will be encountering single units along the way. Two of the enemy soldiers will exit one of the nearest buildings (#2). You must take care of them quickly.
I would recommend that you try and get closer to the hangar. You must be moving by the left wall (#1). Thanks to that, you will avoid a lot of difficult fights, however this still isn't an easy way. There are TWO stationery machine gun posts guarding the entrance to the hangar. You shouldn't have any problems with the left one. The right machine gun post is a lot more difficult to neutralize (#2). You will have to lean out carefully. Alternatively you could try and use some of the carried grenades. Just make sure that the rescued soldiers aren't hurt.
That's not all. There's also a sniper in a nearby watch tower (#1). You must take care of this problem swiftly. Like always, you could ask your teammates for help, although it won't be necessary here. Once the area is clear, rescued soldiers should automatically enter the hangar. Wait for them to get inside the tanks (#2). You will receive some new orders very soon. CHECKPOINT 4.
This is a very easy task. There won't be much to do here, really. The tanks will take care of most of the enemy units. You, on the other hand, must take out a few armored vehicles. Make sure you're aiming at the gunners (#1). There are also some terrorists nearby (#2). You can take them out on your own or ask the rest of the team for help. It would be best to stick close to the tanks. Thanks to that, you won't miss anything important. They also provide a great cover.
I should warn you about something. The tanks won't stop at nothing. As a result, you have to watch out for your squad members. Make sure that no one gets in their way. The tanks should be able to reach the tunnel entrance within a few seconds (#1). You will have to wait for new orders. CHECKPOINT 5.
This isn't an obvious objective. You will have to clear out a nearby tunnel. That's where the terrorists have prepared a trap. Gather the rest of the team around your position. Start moving towards the tunnel (#2).
The blockade is located just around the corner (on your left). The most important thing is that you take out two soldiers armed with rocket launchers (#1). Once they're gone, deal with the remaining enemy units (especially the gunner). The tanks should enter the tunnel. Wait for them to reach the opposite end of it. That's where they will stop again (#2). You will receive some new orders from the commanding officer. CHECKPOINT 6.
This is by far the most difficult part of this mission. You will have to shoot down TWO enemy gunships. Thankfully, you won't have to be equipped with a rocket launcher in order to do that, although using it would certainly help. Before you proceed to the main objective, you will have to kill three enemy soldiers. Two of them will try to reach the right side of the tunnel (#1). The last one will probably remain on your left (#2). It's very important that you ORDER your teammates to STAY here. Make sure they're far away from the tunnel exit.
The most important thing about this fight will involve rockets (#1). You CAN'T avoid them if you're on an open space. Thankfully, you won't have to worry about the standard machine guns. You probably won't get hit. Shoot at the gunships only when they're closer to your position (#2). You should notice a black smoke. It means that you've damaged them in some way.
I would also recommend that you find a good cover that'll enable you to attack enemy helicopters. I've chosen one of the nearby buildings (#1). As a result, I was able to avoid all rockets and I could also keep shooting at the enemy gunships. You shouldn't have any major problems taking them down. Each of the gunships will explode (#2). As a result, you'll be able to get back to the previous objective of the mission. CHECKPOINT 7.
The rest of the team may join you now (#1). Just make sure that none of your teammates gets in a way of a tank. Continue moving to your objective. There are only a few enemy units in the vicinity. Kill the terrorists and then let the tanks enter a new hangar (#2). CHECKPOINT 8.
Don't worry, you won't have to fight any new gunships. This is a very simple objective. The third gunship won't even start. He's going to be destroyed once he's still touching the ground. Start running towards your new objective. There are some terrorists in the area (#1). You will have to kill them now. Zoom in the view. You should be able to spot the third gunship (#2). You will have to target it. There's going to be an explosion in a few seconds.
Once again, you will have to get back to the allied hangar. That's where the tanks have stopped (#1). Wait for the next objective to show up. CHECKPOINT 9.
This is a rather simple objective, although you will have to be careful from time to time. Before you decide to proceed any further, take a closer look at an enemy armored vehicle. Ignore it. The vehicle is going to be destroyed by one of the allied tanks (#2). :-)
You will be given a full control over the tanks in just a few seconds. There are two types of orders for you to choose from. The tanks can move to a highlighted spot. They also attack a designated target. It doesn't have to be a moving object. It would be best to use the tactical view to move them. They should proceed to the nearby street. You've been there a little while ago (#1). Now you will have to order one of the tanks to destroy an enemy unit (#2). It shouldn't be much of a problem. The other tank should take the lead, because the first one was probably damaged.
Both tanks must move forward a little. Don't worry about the destroyed tank. It won't be a problem for your units (#1). Be careful! There's an enemy with a rocket launcher at the opposite end of this street (#2)!! You will have to kill him now. Otherwise he would have killed your team or destroyed one of the tanks. There's a second terrorist on your right. Thankfully, he's not much of a threat. Nevertheless, you should kill him.
Order your tanks to move forward. They must destroy a second enemy tank that's patrolling a nearby street (#1). Keep moving forward. Don't let your tanks to leave the camp just yet. There are two sniper towers in the vicinity (#1). They are both being occupied by enemy soldiers. I guess I don't have to tell you that they must die. Watch out for the rest of the team! Make sure that no one gets hurt.
You may allow your tanks to leave the camp. They will have to reach a large gate (#1). As a result, you will complete this mission objective.
This is a formality. All you have to do is reach a nearby extraction zone. Wait for the UAV to show up (#2). The rest of the team must be following you. Enter the vehicle. I would recommend that you listen to what the commanding officers have to say. After that, the mission is going to end.
Threats: This is one of the most challenging missions of the entire campaign. One of the most important aspects of it is the terrain. You won't be able to spot most of the enemy soldiers. As a result, you have to use the tactical view all the time. You must also take care of the rest of the team. There are a lot of armored vehicles and stationery machine guns in the area. Taking them out can be very difficult. Most of the enemy soldiers are heavily equipped. As a result, you will have to aim at their heads and eliminate them from a safe distance. There's also an enemy gunship for you to deal with later during this mission. Thankfully, you will be able to use the rocket launcher in order to get rid of it.
Main objective: The first part of the mission will involve reaching one of the allied teams. You will have to provide a much needed help. The second part, on the other hand, is much more interesting. You'll have to rescue the US president that's been kidnapped by the rebel forces.
Walkthrough: Just as before, you start off inside an allied armored vehicle (#1). I would recommend that you listen what the other characters have to say. You should be able to reach your destination within a few seconds (#2). Exit the vehicle. Be careful, though. The area is swarming with enemy troops. The terrorists are in a full control of this whole sector. As a result, you will have to start killing them right away. CHECKPOINT 1.
I would recommend that you get closer to one of the destroyed vans (#1). That's where most of the terrorists will appear. You will have to start shooting at them (#2). It's best to zoom in the view, especially since they are standing at the opposite end of this street. Make sure you're using nearby objects for cover. Thanks to that, you won't be hit by anyone.
No matter what you may be thinking, you DON'T have to hurry to your destination, especially since there are A LOT of enemy forces in the area and you probably would have ended up dead. Start moving towards nearby crossroads (#1). I would recommend that you stick close to the buildings that are located on your right. You will also have an opportunity to use them for cover. There are a lot of terrorist here. You will have to kill them on your way. Be careful! There's a sniper on your left (#2). He is hiding inside one of the watch towers. Order one of your teammates to take him out. You can also take a closer look at the tactical view in order to know exactly where he is.
Remember to stick close to the buildings on the right. I would recommend that you leave the rest of the squad behind. There's a small opening (#1). It's best if they stayed here. Start moving towards a large roadblock. You MUST be very careful. Lean out carefully in order to kill some enemy soldiers (#2). I wouldn't recommend moving any further. We'll try and surprise the terrorists from the right flank.
It would be best if you've chosen a group of buildings that should be located in front of you (#1). There's a small "maze" here for you to deal with. Be careful. One of the terrorists may be hiding inside a building (#2). You will have to take him out quickly.
Now you will have to lean out in order to start shooting at the remaining enemy soldiers (#1). Use the tactical view. Thanks to it, you should know exactly where they're standing. You could also throw some of the carried grenades at them. Next, take out those terrorists who were standing by the armored vehicle. Once they're gone, eliminate a gunner (#2). You will also have to watch out for an enemy sniper. He is hiding in one of the nearby towers. Once all of the enemies are dead, order your teammates to join you.
Make sure that the rest of the team is with you. Start moving towards a designated area (#1). The game will update your current objectives in a few seconds. CHECKPOINT 2.
I would like to remind you once more that you DON'T have to hurry. You won't be able to rescue Salvatore and his men. It's best to plan all actions carefully. Start moving forward. Turn left. There's a small passageway here (#2). Go there now.
Be careful! There are two enemy snipers in the area. The first one is hiding on top of the left hill (#1). The second one is in a destroyed building that's located on your right. It would be best to take care of them right now. An armored vehicle will show up here very soon (#2). Take out its gunner. Don't worry about the vehicle itself. It'll stop near the top of the hill. That's where you'll take care of the rest of the crew. Gather the whole team around you and start moving towards a nearby hill. This small road leads to your current destination.
I guess I don't have to remind you to be very careful. This road is well defended (#1). You will have to kill a lot of terrorists along the way. Make sure you're using the tactical view, so you won't skip anyone. Once you're near the top of the hill, start shooting at the soldiers who are standing by an armored vehicle. Remember to use large objects for much needed cover (#2). Keep pushing forward.
You should be able to reach the armored vehicle very soon (#1). Order your team to stay here for a while. There are some very challenging fights ahead of you. Enemy soldiers are located near the buildings. A large group of them is also located on your left (#2). Make sure you're using the tactical view in order to spot where they're standing. Be careful, though. Some of them may be hiding in the shadows, so it's very difficult to locate them.
Try moving the whole team to the top of the hill. Be careful. There may be some enemies in this area (#1). Furthermore, one of the snipers should be located in front of you (#2). He is standing on a roof. It's best if you let your team handle this problem. Start moving towards your destination. You've got to be extra careful.
You shouldn't have any problems locating your current objective (#1). Remember that you can't be in a lot of hurry. Even a smallest mistake can jeopardize the whole mission. Some of the enemy soldiers may still be located here. Most of them are standing on roofs of the nearby buildings (#2).
Once you've reached your destination (#1), it'll come to your attention that Salvatore and his men have been defeated. Most of the soldiers are dead or wounded. You will have to wait here for the new objectives to show up. CHECKPOINT 3.
You must go back to the place you've previously visited. It's a small crossroad. Start moving forward (#2). There are a lot of different routes leading to only one destination. Don't worry, you probably won't encounter any new units at the moment. You should receive an update objective very shortly.
You'll probably notice an armored vehicle along the way. You may ignore it for now. Be careful, though. There's a first group of enemy soldiers nearby (#1). Remember to use all of the surrounding objects for cover. You will have to kill AT LEAST two snipers, a gunner and a couple of standard soldiers (#2). BEFORE you decide to move on any further, make sure that the area is clear.
As you've probably suspected, the road leading to your destination is being occupied my massive enemy forces. You'll have two choices. The main road will be protected by a single sniper (#1). Alternatively you could turn left. There are some narrow alleys over here. Either way, you will have to deal with additional terrorists near the landing zone. It would be best to find a good cover (#2) before you decide to start shooting at them. Make sure you're aiming at their heads!
Make sure that the whole area is clear. Head on to the landing zone. An allied gunship will show up here in a few seconds (#1). CHECKPOINT 4. Step up to the gunship and press the X key in order to rearm yourself. MAKE SURE that you've taken a ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher. You'll need it in a minute or two. Turn around and start running towards a large junction. I would recommend that you leave the rest of the team here. Turn left. There should be a large road ahead of you (#2). Start moving forward.
First of all, you will have to deal with a single enemy unit. The soldier is hiding in a destroyed building that's located on your left (#1). Thankfully, he's not carrying the sniper rifle, so you should be just fine. Get your rocket launcher ready. An enemy gunship will arrive here in a few seconds. It would be best to stand close to one of the walls. Wait for the gunship, target it and then press the left mouse button. If you've done everything correctly, you should have one problem less to worry about (#2).
That's not all! There's an enemy sniper just around the corner. You should use the tactical view in order to target his position. He is carrying a very powerful rifle. As a result, you must kill him QUICKLY (#1), before he manages to see you. Once he's gone, order your team to join you. Start heading towards your current destination. There are some more enemies in this area. Take out a single sniper that's hiding in the right tower (#2).
You may proceed to your final destination. You won't encounter any new units along the way, however this doesn't mean that you shouldn't be careful. There's a construction site nearby. That's where you'll need to go (#1). Make sure that the rest of the team is following you. Once you're there, listen to what the general has to say (#2). CHECKPOINT 5.
First of all, you should enter the construction site area. Start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers (#1). Thankfully, there's not too many of them, although some of the terrorists may be difficult to find. Let the rest of the team finish this job. You, on the other hand, should start moving forward. Head on to the lower level of the construction (#2).
Be careful. There are at least two-three terrorists here (#1). Remember that the area is quite small, so you will have to eliminate them quickly, before they manage to fight back. It would be best to use the burst fire mode during these fights. The US president is hiding in one of the rooms (#2). Step up closer in order to finish up with this mission objective. CHECKPOINT 6.
The most important thing to do here is to protect the US president. You will have to get back to your team. Be careful. Additional enemy forces will show up in the area (#1). Once they're gone, head on to the extraction zone. Like I've said before, you'll have to concentrate all of your efforts on protecting the president. Wait for him to take a seat inside the allied gunship (#2). CHECKPOINT 7.
Be careful! Additional enemy forces will show up here very soon. The enemies will be using armored vehicles (#1). You will have to deal with this problem swiftly. Make sure that you've killed all enemy troops. An allied vehicle will show up here in a few minutes (#2). Wait for the UAV to stop. Take a seat inside (along with the rest of the team). This is not the end of this mission! You will have to wait for the UAV to transport your team to a safer location.
Once you've reached your destination, press the X key in order to leave the vehicle (#1). A new objective should pop up on your screen.
It looks like the terrorists are in a possession of a football (a suitcase with the nuclear missile codes). You will have to get it back, as soon as possible. Get back to the main road. Be careful, though. The area is NOT safe. Start off by eliminating an enemy sniper (#2). He's carrying a very powerful weapon, so he must die quickly.
Start moving towards the opposite end of this street (#1). It's where you fought the gunship. The rest of the team must be following your lead. You'll probably notice a helicopter. It looks like the terrorist leader has escaped. We'll get back to this objective in the next mission of the game.
Keep moving forward. There aren't any new enemies in the vicinity, so you might as well start running. Wait for the allied gunship to land. Enter it (#2). The mission is going to end in a few seconds.
Once you're at the equipment screen, you'll probably notice that other crew members are gone. It's because you're going in alone... again.
Threats: You should know that this is a very challenging mission. The most important thing is that you'll have to go in alone. It means that you'll have to be extremely careful, especially while moving to a new shooting position. You can't miss any of the enemy soldiers. There are a lot of snipers in the area. Furthermore, some of the terrorists are standing inside buildings. You won't be able to spot them by using the tactical view. Thankfully, you will have an opportunity of issuing commands to a drone. It should provide a much needed help in some areas of the map. Just make sure you're not moving too fast. Remember that you aren't rushed by anything. It's best to make a complete scan before moving forward.
Main objective: The primary objective for this mission is to retrieve the football that was taken by the leader of the terrorist organization. Sadly, you won't be able to do that. Your plans will change during the course of this mission. As a result, you will have to destroy a large tower in order to disable the Guardrail IX system. You should also know that you will go in alone.
Walkthrough: You start off inside an allied gunship (#1). I would recommend that you listen closely to what the commanding officer and the US president have to say. Wait for the gunship to stop (#2). Use the rope in order to reach the ground safely (#2). CHECKPOINT 1.
You start off at a small square. A couple of enemy soldiers should already be visible on your tactical map (#1). There's a large distance separating you from each other, so you don't have to worry about them too much. Start moving towards the first checkpoint. I would recommend that you stick close to the upper part of the map. You should also pick larger areas instead of narrow alleys (#2). I guess I don't have to remind you to use the drone all the time.
There are more targets in front of you (#1). Use the drone wisely in order to find all of your opponents. I would recommend that you stand by a wall or a large object. Lean out carefully and try to kill the first group of enemy soldiers (#2). Make sure that no one's coming to your direction. You can't let the terrorists surprise you, because that would be equal to an instant death.
There's an enemy sniper on your left. You might as well ignore him. He shouldn't be able to harm you, but just to make sure start running (instead of walking) towards a nearby cover. There's a second sniper for you to deal with (#1). He is currently occupying a higher ground, so you might have some problems killing him. Keep moving towards your destination. Be careful, though. One of the nearby streets is going to be guarded by at least two terrorists (#2).
The best way to eliminate both terrorists would be to lean out carefully (#1). Take out the first soldier and after a few seconds get rid of the second one. You will also have to make sure that none of the enemy soldiers actually gets close to your position. You may ignore the armored vehicle. It won't be able to harm you in any way. Be careful. There's a third sniper in this area (#2). You probably won't notice him at first glance. It's very important that you kill him quickly.
Start moving towards some large warehouse buildings (#1). You MUST be very careful. A terrorist will probably be hiding inside one of them. It's very important that you kill him quickly. Sadly, you won't know exactly where he is standing, mostly because the drone isn't capable of doing that. Head on to the opposite end of the large warehouse. Use the drone to scan your surroundings (#2). The drone will come up with a few hits.
You shouldn't have any problems with the terrorists, especially since none of them are actually hiding. You will have to be standing by a small entrance. Start off by leaning out. You should be able to get rid of most of them that way (#1). Be careful. There's a sniper on your right (#2). You probably wouldn't even notice him. He has to die. Otherwise he would have been a serious threat to your safety.
You will have to reach the second warehouse building. It's located near the freeway. You've got to be very careful. There's probably a single terrorist here (#1). He is well armed. He should also be facing your direction. As a result, you MUST kill him quickly, before he manages to fight back. Try searching for a small exit (#2). Get close to it. Wait here for a moment. Your current objective is going to be cancelled. You will receive some new orders in just a few seconds. CHECKPOINT 2.
Before you proceed to the main objective of this mission, you will have to reach the drop point in order to replenish your ammo. I would recommend that you start off with sending a drone. Make sure it has scanned the whole area. Be careful. There may be a single terrorist near the exit (#1). Kill him. Send a drone a little bit further. It will come up with about five new targets. At least three terrorists are standing by the tracks (#2), two more are guarding a nearby street.
Start moving towards the larger group of enemy soldiers. Be careful, though. There's a watch tower on your left. It's being occupied by a single sniper (#1). You will have to take him out as soon as possible. Once he's dead, head on to the nearest building. Start shooting at the enemy soldiers (#2). Thankfully, you should know exactly where they are standing. You only have to make sure that the drone has completed a full scan of the area.
The road is being occupied by at least two soldiers. As a result, it would be best to avoid them. I would recommend that you choose a small passageway that should be located on your right (#1). There are some smaller buildings in this area. Thankfully, there aren't any new terrorists. The crew of the gunship will start shooting at the nearby soldiers. Once you're there, lean out and deal with those who have actually survived the attacks (#2).
Be careful! The area is not safe. A nearby street is occupied by at least two terrorists. It would be best to surprise them (#1). Thankfully, they shouldn't be facing your direction. Make sure that everyone's dead. Head on to the allied gunship (#2). I would recommend that you take a ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher. You'll need it later during this mission. CHECKPOINT 3.
This is going to be the most difficult part of this mission. You will have to destroy the large antenna that's located on the roof of a largest building. You'll us the C4. Start moving towards your destination (#1). You should know that the area is going to be scrambled. As a result, you won't be able to use the drone. Thankfully, you can still activate the tactical view. Most of the terrorists are quite visible. You will only have to watch out for those soldiers who are standing inside buildings. Once you've reached a junction, turn right. There's a small road here. Be careful. The area is being guarded by two terrorists (#2). You must kill them quickly.
Don't enter the warehouse. Instead, turn right. Move up a little bit closer. You will have to be standing by a large object in order to be able to lean out. Start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers (#1). Thankfully, they should remain at their positions, so you don't have to worry about them getting closer. Once they're gone, start moving forward. You must be very careful. Find a good cover. Now you should try and kill two enemy snipers. They are hiding inside a nearby watch tower (#2). Make sure they're both dead before you decide to proceed to the next section.
Now you will have to deal with several other terrorists. One of them is standing just around the corner, on your left (#1). He shouldn't even fight back. The second terrorist is located by the watch tower, near the small pillars. There's an entrance to the large building nearby. Go there now. Before you decide to move on any further, take out a single terrorist that's standing by the heavy machine gun (#2).
Get back to the main building. I would recommend that you turn on your nightvision goggles... at least for a few seconds. Look from a small staircase (#1). It leads to the top of the building. Go there now. There aren't any new units in the vicinity. Be careful, though. Once you're at the top, lean out carefully and kill one of the soldiers on your right. He should be standing on a field (#2).
You may proceed to the large tower. You shouldn't have any problems finding the correct spot to place the C4 (#1). CHECKPOINT 4. Go back to the ground floor. You might want to consider leaving the building and taking a closer look at the huge explosion (#2). I'd personally recommend skipping that action. Exit the building and turn right. Start moving towards the last objective of this mission.
Start running towards nearby tracks (#1). You should be in a lot of hurry because a large group of enemy soldiers will arrive here in just a few seconds. It would be best to take a good shooting position. Thanks to that, you'll be able to surprise most of them.
You should know that you're able to use the drone again. Order it to get here and perform a full scan of the area. Start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers (#2). You shouldn't have any problems finding them.
You will have to reach a large junction. Once you're there, turn right. Be careful. There's a single enemy unit nearby (#1). You will have to take care of this problem. An enemy tank is patrolling this area. You will have to use the rocket launcher in order to get rid of him (#2). Just make sure you don't expose yourself too much. Otherwise you would have been spotted by the tank.
Start moving towards the designated extraction zone (#1). You don't have to worry about enemy troops at the moment. The road shouldn't be guarded by anyone. Enemy soldiers will appear near one of the large warehouses, located close the last section of this map (#2). Ignore the left sniper, because he won't do you any harm. Instead, kill a single terrorist that was guarding the entrance to the warehouse. You should also kill one of the snipers on the right.
Start moving towards the extraction point (#1). You must be very careful. Don't go there just yet, because the area is being guarded by an enemy sniper. I was able to surprise him from the left flank (#2). Remember to use the drone in order to know exactly where he is standing. The sniper has to die. Otherwise he would taken you out very quickly.
Once the sniper is gone, you may proceed to the allied gunship (#1). Press the X key in order to take a seat inside. Wait for the gunship to leave this area (#2). That's it for this mission.
Threats: This is a much easier mission. You shouldn't have any problems with it. Furthermore, it's going to be very short. You'll be encountering a lot of enemy soldiers along the way. Thankfully, they won't be armed very well, so it'll be very easy to kill them. There are a few stationary machine gun posts in the area, although you should be able to surprise most of them without any problems. The final part of the mission will be slightly more difficult, mostly because you will have to defend a very important VIP against enemy attacks. Nevertheless, you shouldn't be worried about it too much. These fights are going to be fairly easy. You should be able to finish this whole mission without having to go back to previously visited checkpoint areas.
Main objective: This mission will require you to take down a few roadblocks that have been placed in one of the central areas of the city. Thanks to that, allied tanks will be able to enter this sector. Next, you'll rescue a VIP and make sure that leaves the map safely. You'll be operating with the rest of the squad.
Walkthrough: You start off inside an allied gunship (#1). Once again, I would recommend that you listen to what the other character have to say. You'll find out more about the current situation (not only in the city). Once the gunship has reached its destination, you will have to use the rope (#2) in order to get down to the mission area. CHECKPOINT 1.
Gather the rest of the team around your position. Start moving forward. I would recommend that you stand by one of the walls and lean out carefully. You should be able to kill at least a few enemy soldiers (#1). Make sure you've taken out a terrorist who was standing by the heavy machine gun. Turn left and make a few steps forward. There's a new terrorist on your left (#2). He was hiding in a small alley, similar to the one from the start of the mission.
You've got two options. The more obvious route will involve avoiding the main square. You would have to use the left road (#1). Sadly, there's a high probability of failure, mostly because your teammates will decide to enter the square anyway. As a result, you will have to kill all of the nearby terrorists (#2). Thankfully, there's only a few of them here, so you shouldn't have any problems with this task.
Start moving towards the left (closer) roadblock (#1). Don't worry about the second objective. You will be able to reach in the future (without having to return to the start area). You should be able to reach a large junction within a few seconds (#2). I would recommend that you stand by one of the pillars and start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers. Most of them will be located on your left. You should be able to surprise them.
I'd personally recommend choosing the path that's located on your left. It's safer to go there, however it doesn't mean that you won't encounter enemy forces along the way. There's a sniper in this area (#1). Don't expose yourself too much. It would be best to order one of your men to move a little bit further. Wait for the sniper to start shooting at him. Move to the left and kill him (#2). You have to be quick about it.
You should be getting closer to the first roadblock (#1). CHECKPOINT 2. Keep moving straight. You should be able to reach a small passageway. It's located near the building that was occupied by an enemy sniper. Leave the rest of the squad behind. Start moving forward. You must be very careful. Stand by the brick wall (#2). Lean out in order to kill some of the terrorists. If you're lucky, they won't even respond to your actions.
Now you will have to deal with a second group of enemy soldiers. They are located on your right (#1). Make sure you've taken them out quickly, because one of the terrorists may be armed with a rocket launcher. Don't worry. Even if he fires a missile, it'll probably hit a nearby wall instead of you. The next terrorist is standing by a heavy machine gun (#2). You could try and surprise him from behind, although it's not necessary. Lean out carefully. You should be aiming at his leg or head. He won't even have time to respond.
Make sure that no one's looking this way. Start moving towards the central part of the roadblock. There should be only more soldier for you to kill. He is standing by a second machine gun post (#1). I would recommend that you use the grenades in order to get rid of him quickly. Once he's gone, you should be able to secure the first roadblock (#2). The rest of the team may join you now. CHECKPOINT 3.
You may proceed to the second roadblock. Thankfully, it's located nearby. You must head on to the main road that should be located in front of you. Start moving forward. I'd personally recommend that you stick close to the buildings on your left. You will encounter a first group of enemy soldiers very soon (#2). Make sure you're using walls and other objects for cover. It would also be wise to ask your team for help.
Keep moving forward. You will be encountering additional enemy units along the way. The terrorists may be hiding. Some of them will also appear on your right (#1). Furthermore, you will have to eliminate a sniper. He is hiding on a roof. It would be best to use the tactical view in order to locating him. It should be one of the buildings on your left (#2).
You should be getting closer to the second roadblock. I would recommend that you'll once again leave the rest of the team behind (#1). Don't worry, you should be able to take out most of the terrorists on your own. Keep moving forward. There's a small road here that leads to an upper level (#2). Go there now. Make sure you're moving close to the buildings on the left. Thanks to that, no one will see you coming.
Once you're at the top, move up closer to a small brick wall. The roadblock should be located on your right (#1). Start off by throwing a couple of grenades there. Next, stand up and eliminate those terrorists who have actually survived the first attack. You must take out a single soldier who should be standing by a heavy machine gun (#2).
Be careful. One of the terrorists will probably try to surprise you from the back. He will use one of the nearby alleys. Thankfully, you shouldn't have any problems spotting him, especially if you're using the tactical view frequently. Kill him (#1). Once he's gone, take out all of the remaining enemy soldiers (#2). Order the rest of the team to get there. Your teammates shouldn't have any problems with this task. They will kill all of the remaining terrorists. Thanks to that, you'll be able to proceed to the next objective. CHECKPOINT 4.
I have to warn you that this is not the end of this mission. Nevertheless, you will have to reach the extraction zone. Gather the rest of the team around you and start moving towards the new destination (#1). You shouldn't encounter any new units along the way. Once you're there, take a seat inside an allied gunship (#2). Wait for the rest of the team to join you.
Once the gunship is in the air, the situation on the map is going to change... drastically. It looks like the helicopter that was transporting an American general has crashed. You will have to save him. Before you do that, you'll have a chance to replenish your ammo supplies. Wait for the gunship to land (#1). You must exit it now. CHECKPOINT 1.
The rest of the team must be following your lead. Start running towards the designated area (it's the crash site). You'll probably encounter a few terrorists in just a few seconds (#2). They will be heading in the same direction, so you should be able to surprise them a little.
You will be encountering additional enemy units along the way (#1). You don't have to save up any of your ammo, so you might as well start using long bursts, instead of single shots. Make sure you're on the move all the time. Don't forget that you're not the only one that intends to get there first. Once you've reached the crash site (#2), start running towards the destroyed gunship. The game will display a new objective within a few seconds. CHECKPOINT 6.
You should know exactly what has to be done here. Order your men to guard the wreckage (#1). You will have to find a good cover (walls, pillars...). The general is wounded, so you can't let the terrorists get closer to him. Remember to lean out a lot. The terrorists will be coming from two different directions (#1) - the left alley and the main road.
An allied gunship should arrive here shortly. Gather the rest of the team around your position. Move forward a little. There are some more terrorists inside the large building on your right (#1). You will have to kill them all. Watch out for a single sniper! The VIP should be able to reach the gunship on its own (#2). Nonetheless, you must escort him to the helicopter. Wait for him to take a seat inside.
You shouldn't have any problems with this final objective. First of all, gather the whole team around you. Next, start running towards a designated extraction area. There's an armored vehicle waiting for you here (#2). Some of the terrorists are still occupying this area, although you may ignore them. Get inside in order to finish this mission.
Threats: This is a rather challenging mission, so for the most of the time you will have to be very careful. The first part of the mission will require you to deal with a lot of enemy soldiers. They will be heavily armed, so you can't make any major mistakes. You will also have to avoid a few tanks. Next, you will take part in a fight with an enemy gunship. You could use the ZEUS-MPAR rocket launcher against it, although this won't be necessary. There are also a lot of snipers in different areas of this sector. Some of them may be hard to find, so it would be best to use the tactical view all the time. You should also know that the main square has appeared in previous missions of the campaign. As a result, you will probably know where to go. You should also try to remember good shooting spots that you have used before.
Main objective: During the course of this mission you will neutralize the Guardrail IX system. There are three places for you to visit. You will have to neutralize each of the scrambling devices. Next, you'll proceed to the main palace area. You will have to find the terrorist leader. He is currently hiding inside the palace. You will also have to retrieve the football that's probably in his possession. This is a night mission. Once again, you'll be ordering the whole team.
Walkthrough: You start off inside an allied UAV (#1). The dialogs are very important, so you should listen closely to what the other people have to say. Wait for the armored vehicle to reach its destination. You may exit it now (#2). CHECKPOINT 1.
Start heading towards the designated area (Zocalo plaza; #1). There are a lot of different routes leading to your destination. I would recommend that you stick close to the main road. Once you're closer to a small junction, leave the rest of the team behind. You will have to return here very shortly. Turn left and proceed to the plaza. Lean out carefully. You'll notice a lot of enemy soldiers in the vicinity (#2).
Try making a few steps forward. A small window should appear on your screen (#1). Listen to what the general has to say. This mission objective is going to be delayed. You will receive new orders very shortly.
You've got two options. You can either return to the rest of the team (immediately!!) or try and destroy one of the tanks. There are two of them in the area. Targeting a tank isn't much of a problem (#2), however I wouldn't recommend wasting the missile. The rocket launcher would come in handy in just a few minutes. The choice is yours...
As I've said before, it would be best to avoid the tanks... at least for now. Get back to the place where you started this mission. There's a small passageway (in front of you) that will allow you to avoid the palace area. Start moving towards the first scrambler (#1). The rest of the team must be following you. There aren't any new enemies in the vicinity, although you should be careful. You will have to reach the scrambled zone (#2). Before you decide to move on any further, it would be best to take a look at the tactical view. You will have to memorize the location of the scrambling device.
Once you're closer to the current destination, order your team to move back. Lean out very carefully. There are some terrorists here (#1). You will have to start shooting at them. Be careful. One of the soldiers is guarding a nearby street. You may not notice him at first glance. Order your team to secure the area. In order to get rid of the scrambling device you will have to destroy a small antenna (#2). Use the machine gun. CHECKPOINT 2.
Once again, order your team to move back. Your soldiers should be hiding in a nearby alley. It's very important that they don't stay in the open. Start moving towards the second scrambling device (#1). Once you've reached a small platform, an enemy gunship will appear in this sector. You will have to shoot it down. You can use the rocket launcher, however this object isn't necessary. A standard machine gun would be just fine (#2). Bear in mind, though, that you will have to hit the gunship a few times in order to destroy it.
Once you've destroyed the gunship, some new terrorists will probably appear in this area. They will be standing near a small platform (#1). Get rid of them quickly. The rest of the team may join you now. Start moving towards the second scrambling device. Remember that you have to avoid the central plaza. Thankfully, the device should be located in front of you. Order your team to secure this area (#2). There aren't many terrorists here, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Nevertheless, you should help your team during these fights.
The device itself is in a very obvious place, so you won't have any problems finding it (#1). Just as before, you will have to start shooting at the antenna in order to destroy it. CHECKPOINT 3. In order to reach the last scrambling device you will have to get back to the area where you started this mission. Choose the same path as before (#2)!! Sadly, there isn't any other way and you have to avoid the central plaza. Thankfully, you won't encounter any new units along the way. Make sure that the rest of the team is following you.
Once you're there, proceed to your current destination (#1). You shouldn't be too far away from it, so it won't be a long walk. Be careful, though. There are some enemy units nearby. A large group of terrorists should be located on your left (#2). It would be best if you let your team handle this problem, however don't let them get too close to the mission objective. You will have to handle this particular problem on your own.
I would recommend that you use the grenades. Position yourself near the large brick wall (#1). You must throw the grenades properly, so they land near enemy units. If you're lucky, you will only have to use two of them (#2). The main objective is the scrambling device. Once it's gone, you'll automatically be given a new task. As a result, you won't have to kill all terrorists. CHECKPOINT 4.
Gather the rest of the squad around you and start moving towards the last scrambling device. Be careful, though. There's an enemy sniper nearby (#1). He is standing on a roof. You have to position yourself correctly in order to kill him. Make sure you're aiming at his head. Keep moving forward. One of the nearby buildings will explode (#2). Order your team to make a stop here.
This alley leads to a much larger street. That's where your opponents will show up. At first, you will have to deal with two terrorists. They will stop by a wall that's located at the opposite end of this alley (#1). That's not all. Two other soldiers will try and get closer (#1). You mustn't let them attack your team. Finish them off quickly.
Be careful! There's a second sniper above you. I guess I don't have to tell you that he must be taken care of right now. Make a few steps forward in order to be able to kill him (#1). Once he's gone, proceed with the whole team to the main street. I would recommend that you leave your squad behind. Head on to the left passageway (#2). It'll lead you to your final destination.
You will find yourself inside a dark alley. Lean out CAREFULLY and kill three enemy soldiers (#1). Two of them will be standing closer to your position, so they must die first. Make a few steps forward. Lean out once again in order to kill the gunner (there's an armored vehicle on your left). REMAIN here. Instead of moving forward, use the grenades. You should be able to destroy the scrambling device without any problems (#2). CHECKPOINT 5.
You should notice that you've been given command of two allied tanks. We'll get back to them in a little while. Gather the rest of team around you and start moving towards the start area (#1). I would recommend that you use the tactical view. Order your tanks to move towards the main plaza area (#2). Make sure no one's attacking them at the moment.
Now you will have to order them to take care of the enemy tanks. Start off with the one that's patrolling the lower part of the plaza. Once it's gone, get rid of the second one (#1). I would recommend that you order your team to get closer to the plaza. The objective is to take out remaining enemy units (#2). Sadly, the tanks won't help you during these fights.
Start moving towards the main palace. Be careful! There's going to be an explosion here soon, so it would be best to order your tanks to move back. The gate that's leading to the palace is going to be destroyed (#1). Be careful. More enemy soldiers will show up here very soon. Kill them. Start moving towards the entrance (#2). You'll receive a new objective within just a few seconds. Sadly, you won't be able to save your progress here, so you must be very careful.
You should know that the entrance to the palace is being guarded by an enemy heavy machine gun post (#1). I would recommend that you storm the place. Alternatively you could try leaning out a lot. Make sure you've taken a full control of the first area of the palace (#2). There may be some additional enemy units on the nearby balconies!
Once you've secured this sector, start moving towards a designated area. There's only one corridor leading to it. A limo has been parked there (#1). I guess I don't have to remind you to be very careful. There are a lot of enemy soldiers here. It would be best to use walls for cover. Turn left. More enemy soldiers will show up there very soon (#1). Kill them. Go there now.
Try moving forward a little. You'll receive new intel from the commanding officer (#1). It looks like that Ontiveros has managed to escape with the football. As a result, you will have to abort this mission (#1). CHECKPOINT 6.
You must go back to the main gate that was destroyed a few minutes ago (#1). There aren't any new units here, so you might as well start running.
There are many different paths leading to the extraction zone (#1). Thankfully, the area should be safe. Once you're there, head on to the allied armored vehicle (#2). Take a seat inside the UAV. An interesting conversation will show up on your screen. You will have an opportunity to listen what the terrorist leader has to say. After that, this mission will come to an end.
Threats: The first part of this mission isn't going to be too hard. I guess this may surprise you a little bit. I would like to remind you that you won't have to hurry... unless you want to lose your team. The most important thing is to move carefully. You should also use the tactical view in order to spot nearby soldiers. Thankfully, you should be able to find all of them. There aren't any tanks or gunships here, although you may consider taking the ZEUS rocket launcher. You will be able to use it against enemy armored vehicles (twice). The final part of the mission is going to be much more difficult. You will have to reach a well protected embassy. There are going to be a lot of enemy soldiers in the area, including snipers. You should also know that you won't have an opportunity to save your progress there.
Mission objective: This is the last mission of the singleplayer campaign. Once again, you'll want to retrieve the football. It's being held by Carlos Ontiveros, the leader of the rebel forces. You will have to kill him and locate the suitcase with the nuclear launch codes. You should also know that some of the most elite units from the Aguila Seven organization have arrived in the area.
Walkthrough: You start off inside an allied IFV (#1). You have to wait for the armored vehicle to reach the mission start area. It would be wise to listen what the general has to say. Once you're there, exit the vehicle (#2). CHECKPOINT 1.
You should know that there are enemy forces in the area, so you will proceed to these fights right away (#1). It would be best to choose a nearby brick wall for cover. You will have to use your scope, mostly because the terrorists are standing at the opposite end of this street (#2). Don't move any further just yet.
Make sure that everyone's dead. Start moving towards a nearby square (#1). It would be best to monitor what the rest of the team is doing. You can't let your teammates move too far. Otherwise they would have been wounded by enemy soldiers. Order your team to help you out during these fights (#2). Remember to use trees, walls and other large objects for cover.
You must take care of all enemy snipers. Use the tactical view in order to spot them. There are also a few stationary machine gun posts in this area (#1). It would be best to lean out a lot. Make sure you're not in the open for too long. You could also try and surprise those soldiers from the flank (#2), however this is not necessary.
Make sure that this part of the roundabout area is clear. Start moving towards your current destination (#1). There aren't any new units in the area. This doesn't mean, however, that you shouldn't be careful. A single terrorist will be hiding on your right (#2). Make sure you've taken him out, mostly because you wouldn't notice him at first glance. Keep moving forward. CHECKPOINT 2.
Be careful. There's a sniper nearby, He should be standing on a roof of a nearby building (#1). You might want to consider asking your team for help. You should be able to reach a small junction very soon. Once you're there, choose the path that's located on your right (#2). Keep moving forward. I would recommend that you leave the rest of your squad behind.
The first group of enemy soldiers is located just around the corner. It would be best if you positioned yourself near a large container. Start shooting at the terrorists (#1). You will have to be leaning out a lot. The next target is the stationery machine gun post (#2). There's a large distance separating you from the gunner, so you should be just fine. Make sure you're aiming at his head, though.
It would be best if you took a closer took at the tactical map. Notice that there's a second heavy machine gun post in this area (#1). You will have to take it out as well. Move to your right. Start off by killing some of the nearby soldiers. Once they're gone, get rid of the gunner (#2). Just as before, you will have to be aiming at his head in order to take him out quickly.
The rest of the team may join you now. Start moving towards your current objective. I would recommend that you choose a small road, the same one that was being guarded by a heavy machine gun post (#1). A dialog window will appear on your screen (#2). CHECKPOINT 3.
Make a few steps forward. You should be able to see a single gunship from here. Ontiveros is using it to escape to a nearby embassy (#1). Don't worry. We'll get to him soon. Before you do that, you'll have a chance to replenish your ammo supplies.
Start moving towards your new destination. Like always, you have to be very careful. Remember that the area may still be guarded by enemy units.
You will probably encounter a small group of enemy soldiers near one of the crossroads. The enemies should be located on your right, next to a destroyed car (#1). Make sure you've killed all of them. Proceed to the next section. Some of the building will explode in a few seconds. Ignore it. Keep moving towards the drop point. Be careful, though. Some of the enemy soldiers may be hiding in the area (#2).
There's an enemy armored vehicle in the area. You will have to use the tactical view in order to know where exactly it has stopped (#1). A large group of enemy soldiers will also be there. You might want to consider using the rocket launcher against it, especially since you'll rearm in a few minutes. Otherwise you'd have to take out the gunner (#2).
Now you must start shooting at the remaining enemy soldiers (#1). I have to warn you that these fights are very difficult. Most of the soldiers will be hiding. Some of them are also standing near the armored vehicle. You might want to consider asking the rest of your team for help (#2), however you should be able to kill most of the terrorists on your own. Make sure that the area is clear. Keep moving towards the landing zone.
You should be getting closer to your destination. There's only one path leading to it, so you can't get lost. You should find yourself in a dark alley. There's a burning wreck here (#1). Order the rest of the team to reach the nearby street (#2). That's where the terrorists are standing. Your teammates should be able to deal with the enemy soldiers without any major problems.
Be careful! There's an enemy sniper near the landing zone. You shouldn't have any problems locating him (#1), especially since he's standing on a roof of a building. Furthermore, he's very easy to kill. Head on to the landing zone. There may be some additional units on your right (#2). It would be best to take care of them right now. You should also allow the rest of the team to take part in these fights.
Wait for the allied gunship to show up (#1). You will have an opportunity to rearm yourself (for the last time!!). I would recommend that you take a rocket launcher with you. CHECKPOINT 4.
Get ready for the final moments of the campaign. I have to warn you about something. You won't be able to make any new savegames, so you have to be very careful. Otherwise you'd have to repeat this whole section. Start moving towards the destroyed embassy (#2). That's where the terrorists have barricaded themselves.
You will come across a first group of enemy soldiers in just a few seconds. The terrorists are standing just around the corner (#1). I would recommend that you aim at their heads. You MUST be VERY careful. There are two stationery machine gun posts on your right (#2). You've got two options. You can either try and take them out from a distance (lean out) or you can ask the rest of the team for help in order to be able to attack the gunners from the flank. Make sure that both soldiers are dead. If you have a rocket launcher with you, aim it at the nearby truck. Thanks to that, you'll eliminate a few soldiers (you wouldn't need the missile anymore).
Order the rest of the team to get here. Start moving towards a designated area (#1). Once you're there, wait for the final objective to pop up on the screen. Be careful, though. More terrorists will arrive in this area very soon.
Sadly, you won't be able to use your teammates firepower in all of the upcoming fights. You should place them correctly. Make sure that they're using cover. Start shooting at the visible enemy soldiers (#2). Most of them will appear by the embassy.
You will probably have some major problems with getting closer to the embassy itself. The building is being protected by a few well hidden snipers. There are also stationary machine gun posts there (#1). Try and take out a few of them from the distance. Don't even think about organizing a frontal assault. It would be best to move back. Turn left and start moving forward. You should find yourself on the left side of the roundabout. There are some terrorists nearby (#2). Kill them. The rest of the team should stay here. Once again, make sure that your soldiers are using walls or trees for cover.
Once most of the visible terrorists are gone, order your men to get closer to the embassy building (#1). You might want to consider throwing a couple of grenades inside (#2). You should be able to notice a lot of holes on the first floor. That's where you should be aiming the grenades.
I would recommend ordering your team to stay here. You, on the other hand, should return to the roundabout area. Use the stairs. You will find yourself on an upper level (#1). Use the scope and take out a few terrorists. Now order your men to get closer to the entrance. You will have to provide a covering fire (#2). Your team should be able to secure the entrance without any major problems. You must join them now.
There are still some terrorists on the first floor. It's not safe to send your team inside. Your soldiers wouldn't be able to handle this task. Turn on your nightvision goggles and enter the embassy. Head on to the first floor. Turn left and deal with the remaining enemy units. CHECKPOINT 5.
There's only one more thing to do here. Head on to a designated point. You'll find a body of the terrorist leader here (#2).
You don't have to interact with the body of a terrorist leader. Instead, leave the embassy. An allied gunship will arrive here shortly (#1). Take a seat inside. An interesting cut-scene should appear on your screen (#2).
CONGRATULATIONS! You've just finished the game!
