What is a good war game for the internet

The Call of Duty-series is one of the most popular series online at multiplatforms. It started with Call of Duty (COD) 4: Modern Warfare, which started a new timeperiod for war games. Due to this choice, it gained a lot of popularity and even won the Game of the Year prize. Its sequel COD: World at War lost a lot of popularity because of its return to the mainly used World War 2 theme. The newest member in the series is about to be released, Modern Warfare 2, which has already won a lot of awards at games conventions as E3 and GamesCom.
