What parts of Dishonored are similar to the Thief game series

Dishonored can be played as a stealth game similar to Thief - sneaking, knocking enemies out, hiding the bodies so they aren't detected. As well as this it has a loot system where you find/steal money and valuables. The funds raised from this is then spent on ammunition and upgrades. Corvo's hand crossbow can launch different ammunition including non-lethal ammo, similar to Garrett's sleep arrows.
