Possibly. He's not held in high regard with fans, though. He was just seen as a useless character in Sonic '06. His inclusion in the mainstream universe (not the handheld one) would really mess up the continuity. He has appeared in spinoffs, like the Rivals series and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.
