In Star Wars Renegade Squadron for the PSP do you play as 1 person or as a squad

You get to control 1 player, but, there is a whole team which has A.I. in your team supporting you and others, fight against the opposing team, can customize there weapon load-out and appearance by themselves, and can themself decide to be a leader or not. You will feel if they can do the work by themselves(Especially in Elite mode).
