Found! All Privacy Invasion Locations

It sounds like a nightmare, having someone hack into your home environment, but that’s exactly what you need to do in Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs.

As you venture round Chicago you’ll come across unsecure routers once you’ve finished the Main Mission Act I/3 Backstage Pass, which is your way into a stranger’s home network. Although there is little direct profit to be had from privacy invasions, you get to look into a couple of people’s lives for a minute, there are also perks to be had. By hacking the devices you see in the private room, like smartphones and tablet computers, you can steal money varying between $700 and $2200, but you’ll need to go to an ATM before being able to access the goods. In addition to the financial benefits and satisfied curiosity, performing successful Privacy Invasions in Watch Dogs also earns Aiden around 200 XP.

NEXT: Watch Dogs Privacy Invasion Locations in The Loop and The Wards

When it comes to hacking into someone’s privacy you need to locate nearby ctOS switches and unlock them, or you face going through the router’s firewall directly by solving a nodal hotspot puzzle. The following list of Privacy Invasion Locations will explain where to find and access the ctOS boxes you need, or detail where you’ll find the router if you need to access it directly.

Parker Square

1. Near the Church: Neighborhood Homes

You’ll need to hack two ctOS boxes to access this Privacy Invasion. The first is next door and the other is fixed to the second floor of a duplex southeast of the invasion site.

2. Behind Thyla Pharmaceuticals, North of May Stadium

Just north of the stadium, you will find the first ctOS box behind an iron fence. The next box you need to hack is on top of a nearby garade, hidden behind a short wooden wall.

3. Liquor Store Parking Lot, South of Phoebus Theater

The router on the ‘Chicago Garage’ building just has a single ctOS box protecting it from your Privacy Invasion. The box is on the pizzeria roof, which you can access by either climbing the stairs behind you and stealing a large vehicle, or by hacking the camera on the pizzeria shop front and pointing it at the box behind the sign.

4. Behind “Pilipina Classic” Near a Digital Trip Vendor

Head up the metal stairs behind ‘Pilipina Classic’ and you’ll stumble across the router. Solve the puzzle for a glance into private Watch Dogs lives.

5. Vacant Store, Near Cash Run and Shipping Crate Garage

Have your Hacking Skills ready and security cameras in sight, because the two ctOS boxes you need to hack are on nearby building roofs.

Mad Mile

1. Franklin Street, Northwest of Ryborn Station, West Mad Mile

Once you’re at the Privacy Invasion site, you should find a noodle shop by turning left and walking that way. There is a Gym Center near the noodle shop with a camera on its corner, hack it and pan left to hack the first of two ctOS boxes you need for this Privacy Invasion. The second box is next to the ATM.

2. Behind the Gas Station Billboard, West of Circle Fountain

South of the circle fountain plaza area is a gas station, you’ll have to go a little west to find it. Get yourself behind the billboard and you’ll find an unsecured router to infiltrate.

3. “Rendezvous” Store, Above South Traffic Tunnels Entrance

For this Privacy Invasion, it would be handy to read the guide before approaching. The two ctOS boxes you need here are in the underground tunnel below you so if you haven’t walked up to the router yet, head to the tunnel then take the long way up to the router. Alternatively you could try hacking it directly with the camera on the router’s building.

4. Bank Building Corner, South of Deavers Station

You’ll find the unsecured router by going up the steps to the building with an ATM south of the station. Hack it directly for your curiosity fix.

5. John Hancock Center, North Mad Mile

Your next Privacy Invasion is found by running through the pedestrian tunnel under the skyscraper here. With another puzzle to solve, Aiden will be a brainbox in no time!

6. Foyer By Chicago World News Tower, South Mad Mile

While you’re near the skyscraper head towards its entrance and locate the router near the planter and statue. No ctOS boxes to meddle with this time.

7. Café Plaza and Car Dealership, Northeast Mad Mile

Find yourself in the plaza and use a camera above you to access the first ctOS box on the balcony near the unsecured router. Now make your way to the car dealership and locate the second ctOS box behind a blue sculpture on the ground floor.

8. Office Gardens, Skyscraper West of ctOS Center

Lets hope you, nor Aiden, are afraid of heights as you’ll need to use the scissor lift towards the southeast corner of the building to reach the skyscraper’s base and Privacy Invasion location.

Brandon Docks

1. Umeni Technologies Branch Office, Near QR Code

If you haven’t already collected all of the QR Codes, here’s our walkthrough to help you. But to collect this Privacy Invasion location, you’ll need to find two ctOS boxes first. One of them requires you to run up the pipe steps to get behind the Umeni Technologies billboard, the box itself is on the low roof nearby. You’ll then need to find the yard with various sized pipes across the road from the chimneystack building. The second ctOS box is on the brick balcony here.

2. Metal Warehouse, Near Parkfield Train Station

Be careful of the L-train tracks as you approach this unsecured router on the northwest corner of the warehouse. Hack the router and while you’re there don’t forget to check any smartphones and computers for money or other collectibles.
