Adventure Time Battle Party Cheats, Tips & Guide

The most addicting games of all are the real time MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games where players are grouped in teams and they fight to destroy each other’s base in real time. Unlike many other games who adjust with your schedule, MOBAs tend to make a permanent place in your life. With never ending battles and millions of players always online, you never get tired of the game. The million dollar tournaments and occasional gatherings only add flavor to an already unavoidable game. The problem with these games is that they are extremely lengthy. One of my friends once told me it would take a year for me to be a newbie in DOTA 2. It has more than a hundred heroes who all have their own skills, powers and playing style. These things put children or otherwise people who do not have a full day dedicated for gaming every weekend out of the league of these games. Good news for kids and people with busy lives, they can also take the flavor of MOBAs in their limited time. Thanks to the Cartoon Network’s new game Adventure Time Battle Party.

Adventure Time Battle Party, as it’s name suggests is based on Cartoon Network’s animated series Adventure Time. The show gets 2-3 million views every week and has won 11 awards so far. The game is not that bad too. It is basically designed for children which makes this game simple, short and colorful.

Adventure Time Battle Party Gameplay & Tips

When a player joins the game, he is joined with two other players and is taken to the champion selection screen where he has to select his character and backpack. The selection of character determines the health, attack, attack range, speed and armor of the player while selection of backpack determines which “tools” will be available to the player during the battle. No two players of the same team can have the same character but same character can appear in both teams. After the selection of backpack and character, the player’s team is paired with a random team from internet and the game starts.

Players from both teams spawn on their side of the map. The map is fairly simple to understand. There are two bases, one on each side of the map which are linked together by two lanes, the upper and the lower lane. Left clicking on the ground will take your character there while right clicking sends a ping to the other players. Left clicking on the enemies causes the character to attack them. At then end of each lane, there is an enemy tower which automatically starts attacking you when you enter it’s range. You need to destroy this tower to enter enemy’s base.

Every base also unleashes some minions which keep on marching towards other end of the map. As soon as they see an enemy, they will stop to attack. This means minions from both teams will meet at the center of the lane if not interrupted. But you should kill other team’s minions to take your minions to other side. Why? Good Question! The first tower you are going to face will start attacking you as soon as you enter it’s range. With it’s powerful attacks, it will be difficult to destroy it. But if you enter your minions inside the tower range, it will start attacking minions which will buy you enough time to destroy the tower and enter enemy’s base. There is also a tower at the inner side of enemy’s base. To destroy the base, you will first have to destroy that tower too.

Each player has a health bar. When he is attacked, his health declines. When his health reaches 0, he is eliminated and respawns at his base with a delay of some seconds. This delay is different for every character.
Between the upper and the lower lanes, there is a jungle where neutral monsters reside. They will attack anyone and everyone they see, You can fight them for extra points.

There are also three round shaped buildings called altars in the game. One near each team’s base and one in the middle of the map. Standing on altar for 5 seconds will grant your whole team a boost for limited time. The altars which are near the bases provide defense boost while the center altar provides attack boost. There are also monsters near the altars which are located near bases. The upper lane altar has a monster named Goo while the lower lane has one named Keeoth. Defeating Goo provides speed boost while defeating Keeoth provides attack boost. Both the monsters also respawn shortly after the boost has ended.

Slaying the monsters, eliminating minions and knocking out enemy characters increases the team score which is shown at the top center of the screen. One round of the game is of 15 minutes If 15 minutes pass and no team has destroyed other team’s base, the team with more points is announced as the winner. At the end of the game, players are granted with XP and coins based on their performance in the game. XP is used to increase the player in rank while coins are used to buy different items in the game.

Marceline is a vampire and is one of the best warriors of Battle Party. She is great at chasing the opponents and can easily beat many warriors in 1v1 battles. The more you attack, the more healthy you get. The second passive skill is “Regeneration” which causes her to recover her health faster when not in the battle.

This is by far the best one. Marceline can transform into a vampire and a beast. While transformed into a vampire, her attack damage and speed are increased and she casts charm on the nearby enemies. While in the beast form, she severely damages and fears the enemies nearby. She is also immune to attacks in this form. Apparently she is invincible.

With a flame on her head and a blazing dress, few can compete her in the looks. As cool as she looks, she also proves herself to be a great backline warrior. She has very long range of attack and is very impressive against enemies who attack only from small distances. She is also one of the weakest characters of the game. Her speed is also not that good so you might not want to get 1v1 with players who have high speed and heavy damage.
Her passive ability is called Scatter Fire. After the use of Power, the next basic attack will put the enemy on fire for 3 seconds.

Her Special Power are “Flame Blast” in which Princess Flame throws a fire towards the enemies which upon hitting them bursts into the a fan of flames and causes severe damage to the enemies in that area, “Flambit Polymorph” By using this special power, Flame Princess can call fire in the wanted area which will damage and slow down the enemies and “Blazing Inferno” using which she converts herself into ultimate inferno causing severe damage to the nearby foes. It is called “Well of Power” and induces charm into some specific area causing damage to anyone who gets caught in that area. Lich can press E again to teleport to the center of the area.

Peppermint Butler

Though a better contender in team battles, Peppermint Butler proves to be a player with which you can dominate the opponent in 1v1 battles and is a fair choice to beat Jungle Creeps and altar guards. Though his attacks are not super powerful, his stealth and blinding skills really don’t give a chance to the enemy.

Peppermint Butler’s passive skill is to go into “Stealth” if he stands still for a while during which he also gains a healing boost.

His special skills are “Minty Aura” which causes a dense minty fog damaging and blinding the enemy, “You Rang?” in which he goes to the target from underground resulting in medium level damage and stun and “Sense Evil”, a very deadly tool which not only reveals all hidden enemies but also increases Peppermint Butler’s Attack and move speeds and Attack damage.

Fionna

One of the best players of the game, Fionna is rather weak in her early levels due to her low speed but as the levels increase, her original walking speed combined with a speed boost from backpack items increases her mobility. As the mobility increases, Fionna becomes toughest warrior with her ultimate to be “Invincible!” during which Fionna cannot be killed.

Her passive ability is to cause more damage with her Basic Attacks as her health decreases. The weaker she becomes the harder she hits.

Her Special Powers are “Blade Rush” in which Fionna can dash up to three times in different directions. Her last attack also causing enemies to slow down. Second one is “Fierce/Fearless” in which she can toggle between fierce and fearless. Fierce increases her move and attack speeds on the cost of her health whereas Fearless heals her while increasing her Armor and Shields. The last one is the famous “Invincible!”. While Invincible, Fionna can take damage, Blind, Stun etc but she cannot be killed. Her health does not fall below 1%.

Magic Man

With the ability of teleporting, silencing his enemies and easy escape, Magic Man is a good choice for lanes. While his attacks are not that powerful, he can dodge the enemies really good.

Sir Rattleballs

Our last character, Rattleballs comes in handy when grouped with strong teams due to his abilty of doing massive damage on large areas.

His Passive Ability is to Heal him after using a power 50% of the damage he inflicted.

His first Special Powers is “Shadowless Thrust” where he dashes to the enemy and does one of these three things

1) If he is attacked with a Basic Attack, he attacks back with a Crit Attack without taking any damage.

2) If he is not hit for 1.5s, he will Spin Attack

3) Upon Q being pressed again, he inflicts a Dash Attack damaging all foes in his way.

His second Special power is “Dust Storm” which causes heavy damage to enemies in a large area and Pulls them towards him for further attacks. The last Power is “The Sword Stuff” where he shows his swordsman abilities by spinning a deadly sword inflicting heavy damage to the enemies.

Backpacks:

The hardcore MOBA games use complex techniques of upgrading the players and the equipment which is overly complicated for the range of people Adventure Time Battle Party is designed for. For the sake of simplicity, the concept of Backpacks is introduced in the game. There are different Backpacks in the game which all have their own tools. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Some enhance the player in speed, some in attack and other in armor and shields. A good Backpack with a good player can do wonders in the game. You can buy Backpacks using coins you earn by winning the games. Also, you can press B when in the game and use points to upgrade the individual items to make them stronger in what they do. Use your points wisely though, you won’t have enough to upgrade all items.

Overview of the game:

Overall, the game is a very good effort to make MOBA games available to kids and otherwise busy people. Adventure Time Battle Party is not in the competition with higher MOBAs like DOTA2 and LoL etc. They both have very different audience with very different mindsets. Being played in the browser, the game has some serious limitations. The player is deprived of having different camera angles, overly beautiful graphics and so on but again, this game is targeted towards the audience who do not have Hi-Fi computers and outrageous graphics cards. In a single line, you can say the advantage is availabilty(apparently the game is available to anyone who has a PC and an internet connection) and the downside is simplicity. The players are not looking for simple clicks when they are willing to spend a lot of hours playing an online game with their friends. They want fun!
