Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) Game Guide & Walkthrough

Welcome to the unofficial guide to

Welcome to the unofficial guide to "Need for Speed: Most Wanted", one of the most playable arcade racers of the year. First of all, I would like to say that this guide will be useful mostly to the less experienced players. Those of you who have been in a lot contact with professional racing simulations shouldn't have any problems with "Most Wanted", however you might find some of this guide interesting. The following guide has been divided into three main chapters.

The first chapter is by far the biggest one. It contains a detailed walkthrough of the singleplayer Career mode. I've concentrated my efforts on explaining things you need to do in order to move on in the career. That includes completing all sorts of races, beating down guys from the Black List, and taking part in the dynamic police chases. Bear in mind that the walkthrough concentrates only on those challenges who aren't that hard, but they are needed to move on in the career. Finally, the walkthrough section offers help with successful management of your profile. That includes buying new cars and making them better all the time.

The second chapter has been prepared mostly for the unexperienced drivers. It contains several hints including steering your car properly or using the nitro button in order to leave your opponents behind. I've also decided to say something about the types of races you will be encountering along the way.

The final chapter of this guide contains a list of cars available to buy in the Career mode. You will also be presented with a lot of hints on how to tune them properly, although you should remember that this aspect of the game has been simplified in a major way.

Well, that's what you should expect from this guide. Let's get on with the business. Have fun!

Before you proceed to the career itself you will have to complete a rather short, but very intriguing prologue section. You will be granted with a lot of FMV's along the way. They will help to understand the whole concept of the presented career. At first, you will have to take part in a few races. You start off inside one of the fastest cars of the game - a tuned BMW M3 GTR. Don't let yourself get too comfy, because you will lose this car in a few minutes. Don't worry, this was all planned. Thankfully, you shouldn't have any problems completing the following racers. Furthermore, don't forget about the restart option. It will enable you to repeat the race from the start without any other repercussions.

A very dynamic cut-scene should appear on your screen (#1). Get ready, because you will take control of your car in a few seconds. Don't worry too much, because you will only have to go through several corners (#2). After that, you will receive a text message. Delete it (you don't even have to read it), because you will repeat this race from the start in a few minutes.

1 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughAnother cut-scene should appear shortly - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Another cut-scene should appear shortly. I won't be telling you anything about the main plot of the game, because it would be best to find about everything on your own. I will concentrate my efforts on the following races. At first, you will have to take out a single opponent in a rather simple sprint (you only have to reach the finish line, without completing any laps). Watch out for the difficult left turn (#1). You should encounter it in a couple of seconds. I would recommend braking hard. Once you've taken the corner use the nitro to get back to your usual speed. Be sure to keep the lead at all times. You will also notice some arrows along the way (#2). They will be pointing you the correct direction. Be sure to cut through some of the last corners.

2 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughA new movie will introduce you to some of the most important drivers of the game - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

A new movie will introduce you to some of the most important drivers of the game. Mia will help you achieve new victories, Razor on the other hand is considered to be one of the most skilled drivers in the neighbourhood (#1). You will have to take him out at the end of the Career mode. A new race is waiting for you. Just as before, it's not that hard, so you shouldn't worry about it too much. You will probably notice two things. First of all, you will be encountering some traffic along the way. Thankfully, it's not that thick. The second important thing involves the presence of the police forces (#2).

3 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou will find some tips on how to deal with the police later in this guide - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will find some tips on how to deal with the police later in this guide. Now you should only concentrate on reaching the finish line. You have to be careful, because the track is very narrow at some points. It also has some difficult corners (#1). Remember to use your brakes wisely. You can also use the Speedbreaker feature which will enable you to take them in a much more precise way. You should be able to win this sprint without any major complications. A new race will start after that. This time you will be racing during the day and with several other cars (#2).

4 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe first difficult corner has been located near the start line (#1) - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The first difficult corner has been located near the start line (#1). You should use your brakes in order to get through it safely. Remember that you have a lot of nitro at your disposal. You can use it in order to leave your opponents behind. Remember that the nitro bar regenerates faster if you're in the lead. Another challenging point involves driving into a small tunnel. Be sure not to hit anything (#2). Thankfully, the traffic is very small at this point.

5 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe last segments of the lap will require you to pass through several corners - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The last segments of the lap will require you to pass through several corners. Don't worry if you hit a lamppost along the way (#1). You may destroy these type of objects without dealing with any negative effects. Furthermore, it's wise to do it in some of the police chases. This time you will have to complete two laps. After that, new movies will begin to appear. Get ready because the race with Razor is next (#2)!

6 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughFirst of all, you should know that you won't be able to win this race in any way - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

First of all, you should know that you won't be able to win this race in any way. I will give you more information on that shortly. After the start I would recommend picking the right passage (#1). If you chose the left one Razor would probably be able to take the lead. Some of the police forces should join this race in a few seconds. You have to avoid their cars at all costs. Get ready, because there are more difficult corners nearby (#2). Use your brakes wisely and place your car in the right spot, so you may accelerate faster after leaving the corner. Don't worry about Razor's car at this point of the race. Like I said, he will win no matter what you do.

7 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou will be encountering some checkpoints along the way (#1) - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will be encountering some checkpoints along the way (#1). You might want to destroy them when the time is right. Furthermore, you will receive some additional points for that if you are taking part in a police chase. You should receive a text message shortly. Mia will inform you that Razor's guy have messed up in your car. As a result, the BMW will have to make an unscheduled stop (#2) and you'll lose it to Razor. Don't worry, you will be able to win it back at the end of the Career mode.

8 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough9 - Prologue - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After you've visited the local police station Mia will appear. She will help you with acquiring a new car, so you'll be able to get back to the Black List and ultimately defeat Razor. You will be transported into one of the local car shops. You can choose between three different cars. There's also a Volkswagen Golf, but I assume that you don't have any savegames from the "NFS: Underground 2", so you won't be awarded with extra cash.

Lexus IS 300 (#1) handles very well and it's quite stable at the corners. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend buying it, because it's a lot slower than the Fiat Punto and Chevy Cobalt SS. You can notice the differences by looking at the Acceleration bar. As a result, you'd have a lot of problems winning the following races in a Lexus, and I'm not even talking about taking down the first guy from the Black List. You should also remember that most of the mechanical parts are unavailable at the moment, so you won't be able to do anything, even if you'd have enough cash.

Fiat Punto (#2) is not that quick, although it's a better choice than the Lexus. The vehicle handles very well, even without the additional parts. It also accelerates nicely, so you shouldn't have any problems leaving rest of the pack behind. It's the best choice for less experienced drivers. Punto shows its strongest points during the races with a lot of difficult corners. On the other hand, you may encounter some problems with those tracks which include a fair number of straight sections.

Chevrolet Cobalt SS (#3) is by far the most interesting car of the presented trio. If you take look at the performance bars you'll probably notice that it shouldn't handle very well. That's not true. You won't have any problems with it, even without any mechanical parts. Chevrolet is much faster than Fiat and Lexus, it also accelerates very well. Furthermore, Cobalt SS is cheaper than the Fiat, so you will be able to save up some money for later. As a result, this is a car you should be interested in, although you shouldn't get attached to it, because you have to sell it after defeating the driver from the Black List.

You should appear on the area map. You will be able to explore the first district without any problems (#4). First of all, you will have to reach the current hideout. You might press the M key in order to bring up the map of the area. Use the GPS in order to help yourself to get to your current destination. An arrow will appear on your screen. It will show you the right way.

A new movie will appear once you reach your current destination. Mia will welcome you to your new hideout. She will also offer a place to keep your current cars. That's not all. You will be able to pick ALL challenges from the garage screen. The drivers from the Black List will require you to complete a number of races and police pursuits. Thankfully, the list of challenges in most of the situations will exceed the number of required races. As a result, I will be presenting only those challenges who aren't too hard. Thanks to that you will be able to advance in the career much faster than usual. You should also remember that you have an opportunity to repeat the completed races in order to get more cash. Furthermore, you'll be able to do it even if you advance to the higher place on the Black List. In that case use the arrows on your keyboard to pick a desired "class". There's only one exception. It involves the drivers from the Black List. You won't be able to race them again in the future.

The first guy you will be trying to take down is nicknamed Sonny. You may only start the challenge after you achieve all of his requirements. The list of the desired challenges is visible on your screen at all times. Here are the current requirements:

1) Races won: 3

2) Milestones completed: 2

3) Total number of points: 20000+.

It would be a good idea to explain that the number of accumulated points depends on how long the pursuit takes place and the damage that has been done to the other cars and the neighbourhood. You shouldn't have any problems with getting the first 20000 points. You will also notice that you may start the pursuit on your own. Reckless driving will be considered a crime and resolve in an increased attention from the police. You may also drop your car in those spots that are being patrolled by larger groups of police forces. That'll help you to start the pursuit faster than using standard methods.

Like I said before, you may proceed to the challenges without leaving the garage itself. You must only pick a desired race or a police challenge. Don't forget to spend your cash on performance and visual improvements. As an example, you might consider buying new brakes. You should be able to afford them. Remember to check back to the part shop often.

Races:

1. Circuit - Ironwood Estates

This race is a rather easy one. Furthermore, you will have an opportunity to use several shortcuts along the way. You should notice a small path on your left (#1). It's located near the start. Destroy the small fence in order to get there. Be sure to check your map often in order to locate new types of shortcuts. A second one will be much more interesting. Don't turn left, instead continue moving forward (#2). You've got to be extra careful, because even the smallest mistake will result in a serious crash. Nevertheless, I would recommend using this path often.

1 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughA rather challenging corner awaits you near the finish line - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

A rather challenging corner awaits you near the finish line. You have to be careful. I wouldn't recommend leaving the main road, because you might hit a nearby gas station (#1).

2 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Sprint - Diamond & Union

You will encounter your first shortcut on the left. It's located near the start line (#1). This road should be visible on your map. Destroy the metal gate (this shouldn't be a problem). Doing that will help you to extend your lead even more. A series of mild corners await you. Don't brake too often, instead concentrate your efforts on picking the right shortcuts. More challenging corners will begin to appear near the end of this sprint (#2). You should encounter some police forces along the way. You don't worry about that too much, however bear in mind that the pursuit will continue even if you're able to finish the race itself.

2 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough3 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Lap Knockout - Hickley Field

The rules of this race are rather obvious ones. At the end of each lap the last driver from the current pack is being eliminated. I don't have to remind you that you must be concentrated from start to finish. Watch out for the more difficult corners (#1). You will have to use your brakes often in order to pass through them safely.

Milestones - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (5000 points)

You shouldn't have any problems completing this police challenge. You will have to destroy or immobilize at least two police cruisers. I would recommend looking for the red triangles that should be visible on your map. In most of the situations you'll encounter some huge objects (#1). You should be able to destroy them without any problems. Be sure to aim at the pillars in order to bring down the whole construction. You will be able to see it during a short cut-scene (#2). This should help you to get rid off the police. Use these methods to immobilize at least two squad cars. You may also try ramming into the police vehicles, although you probably won't achieve much at this point of the career. After the damage has been done you will have to lose the pursuit.

3 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Pursuit Evasion (5000 points)

Another simple challenge. You will have to lose the police forces in less than four minutes. I wouldn't recommend ramming into them. Concentrate your efforts on maintaining a decent speed. You should be able to outrun the cops within a few seconds. You might want to hide in one of the marked points, although this is not necessary. Find a quiet spot and stay there until the bar fills up (#1).

3 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Pursuit Time Challenge (5000 points)

This time you will have to maintain a successful pursuit for at least two minutes (#1). It shouldn't be much of a problem, especially since the police are using rather slow cars. Be sure not to outrun the cops, because it will end this challenge too soon, forcing you to repeat it.

4 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Photo Ticket (4000 points)

Another simple challenge. I would recommend starting it from the garage. This way you can be certain that you'll be dropped at a correct stop. Start accelerating (#1). You will have to achieve a certain speed limit once you get closer to the camera (#2). This challenge will require you to go faster than 80 MPH (130 KM/H).

4 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughBefore you head on to the main event (races with the driver from the Black List) I would recommend visiting the shop for new parts - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Before you head on to the main event (races with the driver from the Black List) I would recommend visiting the shop for new parts. You should have some money from the previous races. You may also consider repeating them, although this is not necessary. Be sure to buy all unlocked performance upgrades. If you're low on Bounty points you might want to consider starting a pursuit in one of the "hot spots".

MAIN EVENT:

Taking down a driver from the Black List will require you to compete in at least two races. Furthermore, the type of the event will be picked by your opponent. Some of the drivers will like Circuits and Sprints, while the others will concentrate on Speed Traps or Drags. Each race will have to be won. Thankfully, you will have an opportunity to repeat them, so you shouldn't worry that making a lot of mistakes will end the whole event. Sonny will require you to take part in two Circuit races. Get ready, because they are quite challenging.

1. Circuit - Campus Way

The first race is definitely a more challenging one. You may have some problems with it, especially when you're driving a slower car. The first corners are located near the start line (#1). Concentrate your efforts on picking a correct line, so you should be able to accelerate at the end. After reaching the town square use the two shortcuts located on your left (#2). You will have to drive onto the pavement in order to do that.

5 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe ending part of the lap is the most difficult one - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The ending part of the lap is the most difficult one. At first you will have to deal with some mild corners (#1). Remember to use shortcuts along the way. You will have to drive through the right turn with maximum speed. Otherwise you would have lost your lead. Bear in mind that you don't have any nitro, so you couldn't catch up to your opponent.

2 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Circuit - Highlands

This race, on the other hand, is quite easy to win. You should remember the track itself, because you were racing on it a while ago (in a different direction). Remember to use the shortcuts. The first path lies on your left (#1). Just as before, you have to be careful. Don't hit the brick wall. You should reach the forest in a few seconds. Destroy the wooden fence and head on to the right path (#2). Thanks to that you should win with a comfortable lead.

6 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughAfter winning both races you will be transported to the new screen where you will be able to choose your reward - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After winning both races you will be transported to the new screen where you will be able to choose your reward. Bear in mind that that defeating a driver from the Black List doesn't mean that you automatically receive keys to his (or her) car. You will be presented with six cards from which you will pick two. The car is hidden behind one of the cards with the question marks on it. I would recommend disabling the autosave feature before taking down the guy from the Black List. That way if you pick the wrong cards you will be able to repeat both of the events. As you might have suspected, it would require you to beat Sonny again, however it is recommended to do so, because you will be able to save up a lot of money, which you would have to invest in a new car. It's also very important at this point of the career to have a Volkswagen Golf. It's a perfect car for the upcoming races, definitely the strongest and most agile one. As for the second card, I'd recommend staying with the question marks. If you're lucky you'll get extra money or a get out of jail free card that can be used after you've been caught by the police.

7 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough8 - Black List #15 - Sonny - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

First of all, I would recommend visiting the local car shop, even if you managed to win Sonny's Volkswagen Golf. You should do that every time you defeat someone from the Black List, not only to buy a new car, but to compare their current performance bars.

Audi TT (#1) is one of the most enjoyable cars to steer. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend buying it, because you would have to spend a lot of money to get a hold of the best performance upgrades. Furthermore, you only have to access to several parts at the moment, so the TT couldn't use all of its potential. You might consider buying this car in the future, though.

Audi A3 (#2) is a little bit faster than the TT, but it handles worse. It's also not that good when it comes to acceleration. I would recommend sticking to the Volkswagen Golf. Audi A3 could be used as a second car, but at the moment you don't have enough funds to afford two different cars with the best possible upgrades.

You should consider selling Chevrolet Cobalt SS, that is if you picked up this car earlier. You can do it from your garage window, but I would recommend going to the part shop first and taking off the performance upgrades. You should receive some cash from that. Selling a tuned car is not wise, because you will lose a lot of money that way. As for the moment, I would recommend spending all money on better parts for the acquired Volkswagen Golf. Concentrate on performance, not visual upgrades (Sonny took care of them).

1 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughA guy named Taz is next on your list - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

A guy named Taz is next on your list. Before you'll compete with him you will have to take care of a number of different challenges. Like I said before, you don't have to complete them all. Concentrate on those races and milestones that seem to be less complicated. That way you will be able to advance on the list much faster. You should also remember that you may restart your favourite challenges in order to get extra money or Bounty points.

Taz wants you to do following things:

1) Races won: 4

2) Milestones completed: 3

3) Total number of points: 50000+.

Races:

1. Circuit - Petersburg

You start off on a freeway. Bear in mind that you may cut through the next corners, because driving on the grass doesn't make you any slower (#1). Use this to your advantage, so you may extend your lead even more. After reaching the bigger turn use the left shortcut in order to pass through this area safely (#2). Remember this spot, because you will have to use it regularly. You might want to turn on the Speedbreaker feature for a few seconds in order to stay on the path.

2 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughAfter you reach the second part of the freeway use the arrows to help you navigate to your destination - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After you reach the second part of the freeway use the arrows to help you navigate to your destination. You will have to choose the shorter LEFT path (#1). Remember to use the nitro button from time to time.

2 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Sprint - Hwy 99 & State

This race is a rather simple one... that is if you know the track itself. A couple of more difficult corners await you just after the start. I would recommend slowing down before taking the first corner from this group (#1). Be sure to choose the wider path, so you won't hit any barrels along the way. Use the grass in order to cut through the right corner located below the huge building (#2). Don't worry, you won't lose too much speed by doing this.

3 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough3 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Sprint - Clubhouse & Hollis

Be sure to cut through the first corner located on your left (#1). You mustn't slow too much. Avoid the surrounding walls at all costs. Don't worry about the opponents. You should be able to catch up to them quickly. Watch out for the 90-degree turn. You will have to use your brakes aggressively. Just as before, concentrate on staying off the barriers surrounding the track. Police forces will join the race shortly. You will have to avoid their attacks.

4 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Tollbooth - Skyview & Campus

This is your first tollbooth race, so it would be best to explain its rules. Don't worry, these types of events are VERY easy to complete. The objective of the race is to reach a couple of checkpoints in a designated time. Once you reach a checkpoint the overall time is being extended. After the start pick the left route (#1). You will have to watch out for other cars and trucks, but it will help you to improve your final time. Be sure to use your nitro often. After you reach the tunnel get back to the right track. You shouldn't have any problems with getting to the next gates (#2). Furthermore, the game gives a lot of time to do that.

4 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

This time you will have to complete three police challenges. If you won't succeed in earning enough Bounty points try picking up pursuits on your own.

1. Infractions Challenge (6000 points)

This challenge is a very easy one. You will receive infractions by doing all sorts of things - destroying the neighbourhood, speeding, hitting police cars, driving outside the roadway... Be sure to outrun the pursuit when you're done with it.

2. Bounty (6000 points)

You will have to gather at least 1000 points during a single pursuit. It's a very simple task. You'll just have to hit the police cars from time to time. You will be rewarded for each hit. Furthermore, you might be able to connect the hits in order to receive additional points. You should complete this challenge in less than a minute.

3. Photo Ticket (4500 points)

If you don't have enough points you might want to consider choosing a "well-paid" milestone. Otherwise, this one will do just fine. You will have to exceed 90 MPH (150 KM/H) in order to complete this challenge. It shouldn't be a problem, especially since you have a fast Golf.

MAIN EVENT:

Both races aren't that challenging as you might have expected. You will need to complete two Sprints, so you won't have to do any laps. Nevertheless, it would be wise to spend some money on the performance upgrades before you throw a challenge.

1. Sprint - Stadium & Hwy 99

The first race has some tight corners. You'll probably have some problems with cornering them properly. The first corner is located near the start line (#1). A second one will appear just after the long straight (#2). You will have to use your brakes in order to make a successful turns. Remember to use your nitro often. Taz might speed up near the finish line. You have to remember that and be ready for any of his attacks.

5 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Sprint - Rosewood & State

The second race is even less complicated than the first one, however you should be careful while going through faster corners (#1). If you don't measure them properly you might end up on the brick wall or even outside the track itself. Nevertheless, winning this race shouldn't become much of a problem (#2). Remember to use your nitro while getting closer to the finish line.

6 - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughJust as before, you will have to pick two cards - Black List #14 - Taz - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Just as before, you will have to pick two cards. You should try and locate the Lexus IS 300 that belonged to Taz, however even if you will be able to win it, I'd recommend selling the vehicle in order to get extra money.

Before you move on any further you will have an opportunity to watch a new cut-scene. Mia will grant you with a device that will enable you to hack into the police computer system. I must warn you that there's nothing interesting there. You can only take a look at your current statistics. You might as well leave this option alone.

Head on to the nearest car saloon in order to take a look at the new models. Two cars will be waiting for you there. I'd recommend buying one of them. Alternatively, you might want to ignore them and spend all of the current funds on the Golf's improvements. Personally I wouldn't recommend doing that, however the choice is yours.

Audi A4 (#1) is a typical limousine. You shouldn't be interested in buying this car. It might look great but it has some horrible parameters, especially when you take a closer look at the price of this car. Audi A4 has a very poor acceleration, even if you take care of some mechanical improvements. You'd have to invest a lot of cash into that car in order to make it useful. In my personal opinion it would just be a waste of your money, especially since the other cars are much more interesting.

Mitsubishi Eclipse (#2), on the other hand, is a wonderful car. I'd strongly recommend buying it and investing a lot of money into a complex tuning. Eclipse is much cheaper than the Audi A4. Furthermore, it offers a better handling, it's also a little bit faster. If you'll be choosing the right unique parts (after defeating drivers from the Black List) you might get to the 9-10th spot in that car, so it's also a good offer for those players who prefer staying with one car than buying a lot of different vehicles.

Next up, you should pay a visit to one of the surrounding shops in order to buy new parts. You might also consider selling previous cars - Volkswagen Golf and the Lexus IS 300 from Taz (that is... if you won it). Don't forget to sell their parts before you get rid off the vehicles.

1 - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughVic is next on your list - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Vic is next on your list. Here is the list of his requirements:

1) Races won: 4

2) Milestones completed: 3

3) Total number of points: 100000+.

Races:

1. Tollbooth - Hwy 99 & Highlands

You won't have any problems with this challenge. The computer will grant you with a huge amount of time. Nevertheless, you should be more careful in some places. There's a difficult right corner just before the first checkpoint (#1). Bear in mind that you will be going up the hill so the visibility is going to be heavily reduced. After reaching the junction I'd recommend choosing the left path. Change it once you reach the tunnel. At the end of this race you will be able to use the forest shortcut (#2). Thanks to that you'll earn a decent amount of seconds.

2. Tollbooth - Hwy 4 & Forest Green

Just as before, you shouldn't have any problems completing this challenge. You will reach a junction right after the start. Choose the right path. There are some mild corners nearby. You don't have to use your brakes too often. Furthermore, you will have an opportunity to use the right shortcut (#1). Be sure not to hit the nearby rocks. The final part of this race will require you to cut through at least two corners (#2). Use the grass in order to do that.

3. Speedtrap - Diamond & State

This is your first time with this kind of a competition. It would be best to explain its rules. There are some speed cameras located in different parts of the track. The objective is to score a highest possible speed at these points. The values will be accumulated, and the person who managed to achieve a highest score wins. Remember that you don't have to be first at the finish line in order to win this challenge. The first speed camera has been located near the start line. It would be best to use your nitro often, because it will help to get better scores. You will have an opportunity to use the left shortcut along the way (#2). Concentrate all of your efforts on scoring high speeds near the designated checkpoints.

4. Speedtrap - Forest & Ironwood

You'll probably have some troubles with getting a decent speed near the first checkpoint (#1). Be sure to keep a steady line. Additionally, use the nitro in order to accelerate faster. You will have an opportunity to use the right shortcut (#2). He will appear at about half way through. Choosing the right path will help you to keep a higher speed. It would also be wise to remember this place, because you will be racing here quite often.

5 - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (11000 points)

The objective is quite simple, really. You will have to destroy or immobilize at least four police vehicles. It would be best to use the huge constructions to help you. Just as before, they will be seen as red triangles on your map. Be sure not to leave all of the police cruisers behind, because this will end the whole pursuit too soon. You might want to keep the chase longer, so that more squad cars could appear.

2. Pursuit Evasion (11000 points)

You shouldn't have any problems with this challenge, especially since you have a fast car. You will need to lose the pursuit within four minutes. If you're good, you should do it within half of that time limit. Use the huge constructions, you might also want to hide in one of the designated spots.

3. Photo Ticket (5000 points)

Remember to pick this challenge from the garage screen. Start accelerating, you must also use the nitro. The speed camera has been located near the mild corner, so you have to be more careful. You will have to exceed 105 MPH in order to complete this challenge.

MAIN EVENT:

Just as before, you will have to take part in two Sprint races in order to beat Vic. The second race is a little harder than the first one. Nevertheless, you shouldn't have any major problems with them, especially since you've been racing on both of the presented tracks in the past.

1. Sprint - Union & Hollis

You will have to make a left turn after a very long straight (#1). You must use your brakes, otherwise your car would have end up on the wall. Vic should be driving in a similar style. You must not let him get too far away. More challenging corners await you. Watch out for the tight right corner (#2). After you've taken it use the nitro in order to get back to the usual speed.

Sooner or later Vic will probably make a mistake. You will have to use this opportunity in order to attain the lead. Furthermore, you will have to defend it right up to the finish. You should concentrate on something else at the moment, because you will have to pass through several tight corners (#1). Choose the correct driving lines, so you won't lose too much speed. You will have an opportunity to use the left shortcut near the end (#2). It should help you to extend your current lead.

2. Sprint - Heritage & Campus

You will have to make a tight left turn just after the start (#1). You might want to cut through it, although it's a little bit risky. Don't worry if Vic manages to overtake you. Sooner or later you will catch up to him. You should reach the urban district within a few seconds. Get ready to take several corners. Thankfully, you should be able to cut through most of them (#2).

You will have to use several known shortcuts along the way (#1). You won't gain too much, but it wouldn't hurt to do it, especially since there's a low risk of hitting something. You will have to take the upcoming corners without ANY problems. Use the second shortcut (#2). It's very important, because very challenging turns await you. This will decide whether you'll keep the lead or lose it to Vic.

9 - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughTry to stay focused while going through the right turn (#1) - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Try to stay focused while going through the right turn (#1). You can't hit the surrounding barriers. Maintaining high speed is also very important. If you do that, you should be able to stay in the first place. There are more challenging corners nearby, although they aren't that hard. Just be sure to cut through most of them. Use the nitro often. There's a straight road leading to the finish line (#2). Be sure to block Vic's car in order to secure your lead.

10 - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughVic had one of the most precious cars of the game - a Toyota Supra - Black List #13 - Vic - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Vic had one of the most precious cars of the game - a Toyota Supra. You should concentrate all of your efforts on winning that car from him. If you pick the wrong cards repeat both races, so you will be able to do it again.

You probably noticed that beating Vic unlocked the new district of the city - Camden Beach area. You have to remember that, because some of the new races will be organized in the unknown places.

As for the cars, the game will unlock two vehicles. It would be best to go to the car saloon in order to take a look at them. If you've managed to win Vic's Supra you probably won't have to buy anything. Nevertheless, the trip to the saloon won't take much of your precious time.

Renault Clio V6 (#1) is a smart little car. This vehicle will probably prove to be most interesting for those players who prefer cars with the best possible handling. Clio shows most of its advantages on the tracks with a lot of tight corners. Nevertheless, you have to remember that this car is a lot slower than the Supra, so you might have some problems with it, especially when the other drivers will pick very fast cars.

Toyota Supra (#2) is one of the most interesting cars of this game. You should already own this car, otherwise don't hesitate on buying it. Supra is less agile than the Clio, although the car handles very well. You shouldn't have any problems with the steering. The most important thing is that Toyota is incredibly fast, especially when you'll buy extra performance upgrades. It's one of the best cars to drive on tracks with a lot of straights and mild corners.

You should buy all of the unlocked performance upgrades for your newly acquired Toyota Supra. Thankfully, Vic has bought a lot of interesting parts, so you won't have to spend a lot of money on that car. It'll certainly look different if you bought a Supra from the saloon. In that case I'd recommend selling the Mitsubishi Eclipse in order to get more cash. Don't forget to get rid off the parts first!

Izzy will require the following things:

1) Races won: 4

2) Milestones completed: 3

3) Total number of points: 180000+.

Races:

1. Tollbooth - Hwy 99 & Route 55

Bear in mind that the police vehicles will take part in this challenge. You start off on a freeway. You will have to leave it, though. Use the left passage in order to do that (#1). You must be careful, because you might not see it at first glance. Furthermore, the road is not that wide as you might have suspected. After reaching the industrial zone you will have an opportunity to use a small shortcut (#2). Break through several objects in order to use this road. Don't worry, they won't slow you down.

You will be encountering some mild corners along the way. You shouldn't have any problems with then. Remember to use nitro frequently, especially while going on a straight line. You should come across several shortcuts near the end. It would be wise to use them (#1), not only to improve your time, but also to lose some of the police vehicles that were chasing you.

2 - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Tollbooth - North Bay & Chase

You will encounter AT LEAST three interesting shortcuts near the starting point for this challenge. It would be wise to use them. All of the shortcuts will be located on your left (#1). Don't forget to cut through regular corners, especially when you're moving at higher speeds. Some tougher corners will appear near the finish line (#2). Use your nitro wisely in order to gain extra seconds.

3. Speedtrap - Hwy 4 & Clubhouse

The rules of this challenge haven't changed since the last time. Remember to use the nitro button regularly in order to speed up before each checkpoint. You should also remember about moving in the straight line. You should know this track very well, mostly from the previous races. Don't forget to use the brakes before one of the sharpest turns (#1). Another challenging corner lies only a few meters from this place (#2).

4. Drag - Bayshore & Boardwalk

Before you even proceed to this challenge make sure the keys responsible for changing gears have been set properly. Drag events have appeared in the previous "NFS" games, so you should know the rules very well. I must also add that they're rather simple right now. You don't have to concentrate on combining gear changes and the use of nitro that much. Instead, you have to watch out for heavy traffic. Before you start make sure the left arrow is in the correct spot (#1). This way you will be able to accelerate much faster (just like in the other races). Now you should focus your attention mostly on gear changes. Each time you should wait for the green sign to appear (#2).

5 - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughAfter you've accelerated to a decent speed concentrate on two other things - nitro and changing lanes (#1) - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After you've accelerated to a decent speed concentrate on two other things - nitro and changing lanes (#1). Bear in mind that the other cars will always appear in the same spots. You just have to remember the correct combination. Use the arrow keys to change lanes, so you may avoid hitting them. You shouldn't worry about the other drivers that much. Good luck! :-)

Milestones - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Pursuit Evasion (19000 points)

You've probably completed this challenge as a result of one of the previous races. Otherwise, you'd have to lose the pursuit within three minutes. It's a very simple task, especially since you're driving the fastest car from the unlocked list. Remember to use hideouts and constructions to your advantage.

2. Pursuit Time Challenge (19000 points)

This challenge, on the other hand, requires you to keep a pursuit active for at least four minutes. I'd recommend concentrating on driving, instead of losing the cars that were chasing you. Remember that the new vehicles would appear a lot later.

3. Trade Paint (19000 points)

You might have small problems with this challenge, although it's not that hard to complete it. Ramming into the police cars seems like a good idea (#1). You must be driving really fast in order to succeed with this type of action. You should also remember that the reinforcements need a few minutes to arrive to your current location. Don't destroy all of the police vehicles, instead wait for the other cars to show up.

MAIN EVENT - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

MAIN EVENT:

This time the game will combine two types of races. You will take part in a Sprint and the Circuit race. The second challenge is definitely more challenging than the first one. It's mainly because your final position in this race depends on how you will take the last corners. You will have to remember each turn, and use all of your abilities in order to get through them properly.

1. Sprint - Chase & Bristol

Watch out for the sharp left turn (#1), that's been located near the start line. I'd personally recommend to avoid the huge water tower, because knocking it down may slow your car a lot. You should be able to overtake Izzy's vehicle near the refinery constructions. Don't give up the lead, because you won't be able to repeat that manoeuvre. Watch out for the tight corner located in the nearby tunnel (#2). If you take it properly you shouldn't have any other problems with winning this race.

2. Tor - Diamond

The first part of this track is not that challenging as you might have suspected. Remember to use all possible shortcuts along the way (#1). I'd also recommend staying off the bands and other objects that may slow you down. After you reach a small junction choose the right path (#2). Thanks to that you will be able to outrun Izzy's car.

7 - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou should remember the following corners from the previous races - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You should remember the following corners from the previous races. You have to be very careful by the right turn (#1). Don't hit anything. Try maintaining a decent speed. If you'll manage to hold on to the lead you shouldn't have any problems with the other corners. Remember to use the shortcut located on your right. It would be wise to activate the Speedbreaker feature in order to pass through it properly. Use the nitro button near the finish line. Thanks to that you will secure your lead (#2).

8 - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughThis time you will have an opportunity to win Izzy's Mazda RX-8 - Black List #12 - Izzy - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This time you will have an opportunity to win Izzy's Mazda RX-8. It's a decent car, so if you're planning on sitting behind its wheel, I'd recommend concentrating on the card choice. Otherwise you should be on a look out for new parts or extra cash.

Start off by visiting one of the local car saloons. Like I said before, you should feel quite comfortable in a Toyota Supra. Having that car you probably won't have any problems with the upcoming challenges. Nevertheless, you might want to take a look at the new models.

Mazda RX-8 (#1) seems like a very interesting proposition. The car is slower than the Toyota Supra, but it's more stable. You will also feel a difference while taking more challenging corners. You should consider buying this model only if you weren't satisfied with the Supra's handling. Mazda is cheaper than the other cars, so you will have an opportunity to spend the rest of the money on performance upgrades. If you won the RX-8 from Izzy you can either spend some money on new parts, or sell it in order to be able to improve Supra even more.

Cadillac STS (#2) is one of the most useless cars this game has to offer, at least that's what I think. The car is slow and it handles horribly. If you take a look at the performance bars you might think that it's similar to RX-8. Don't be fooled by this. Cadillac is not the car you're looking for, at least not in a racing game.

Ford Mustang (#3) is not better than the Cadillac. It might seem powerful enough. Well, it isn't, mostly because you won't have an opportunity to buy better performance upgrades at the moment. Mustang doesn't handle very well. You would have a lot of problems during challenges with tight corners. As a result, Mustang is worse than the Supra, or even much "older" Eclipse. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Head on to the parts shop in order to purchase performance upgrades. There's a lot of new parts available. You should at least take a look at them. I'd recommend saving some cash for later, though. You will have an opportunity to buy an excellent Mitsubishi Lancer in the near future.

1) Races won: 5

2) Milestones completed: 3

3) Total number of points: 300000+.

Races:

1. Speedtrap - Seaside & Fisher

This race is not too challenging, although you must watch out for the police vehicles. They will try to keep you off the road. You have to avoid these attacks in order to maintain higher speeds. The third camera is one of the toughest ones. You will have to use the grass in order to maintain a straight line (#1). It's a little bit challenging. Don't forget about the nitro. You also have to watch out for the other cars. They may interfere in a very inappropriate moment. Another speed camera has been located near the mild corners. You might not see it at first glance (#2). Remember to use the map at all times!

2. Tollbooth - Chase & Waterfront

This challenge is not that hard, especially since you should know most of the track. You have to be careful just after the start. First of all, you will be presented with a couple of tight corners. You might want to use the grass in order to cut through them (#1). You will probably notice a shortcut on your left. Keep heading forward. Don't worry, because you will be able to break through a huge billboard (#2). Your car will not slow down because of this action. It would be wise to remember this place, because you will be able to use it during some of the police chases in the future.

3. Tollbooth - Route 55 & North Bay

I'd recommend choosing the right path (#1). Thanks to that, you should be able to save up a couple of seconds. You have to be careful, though. The exit from the small tunnel will require you to make a sharp turn, otherwise your car would have end up on the wall. The following corners are rather easy. You should cut one of the corners located near the end of this track. Be sure not to hit the gas station (#2). Nevertheless, you should risk fitting into a small hole located between the pillars and the left building.

You've got some more corners ahead of you. Thankfully, you will be able to use shortcuts instead of the usual road (#1). Don't worry, even if you hit one of the surrounding walls you shouldn't lose anything too much time.

4 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Sprint - Bristol & Bayshore

Just as before, you should consider choosing the right path, located below the main tunnel. Watch out for the tricky exit, though. You should encounter at least one more shortcut along the way (#1). It will be located on your right. Destroy the gate in order to pass through safely. Don't worry, it won't slow you down. There's a rather challenging corner near the finish line (#2). It would be wise to use the Speedbreaker feature at this moment. You should also brake aggressively, so you won't hit the nearest wall.

5. Drag - Heritage & Rosewood

Another simple challenge, but with several tricky spots. First of all, you should concentrate your efforts on choosing correct lanes (#1). You must watch out for the heavy traffic (#2). Even a smallest contact with one of the nearby cars will result in a failure. Don't forget to change your gears wisely, however the most important thing is to reach the finish line without any crashes.

7 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Cost to State Challenge (30000 points)

A very simple challenge. You shouldn't have any problems with it. You will have to concentrate your efforts on destroying the visible objects or crashing into nearby cars. You should be able to earn most of the needed points that way (#1). You might also consider destroying some of the police vehicles, however this is not necessary.

2 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Roadblock Challenge (30000 points)

You might think that breaking through roadblocks will be a tough challenge. Thankfully, you'll be more worried for them to show up. Bear in mind that police officers need some time to organize a successful roadblock. I'd personally recommend staying on the freeways. That way you will be able to encounter them much more frequently. Furthermore, you will have a lot more space to organize your actions. Once you notice a roadblock you should start thinking what to do next. You've got two options. The more obvious solution will require you to hit one of the police vehicles (#1). Bear in mind that it may stop you for a while, so you have to be ready to escape from that spot the moment you make a successful hit. The alternative method isn't always possible. You'd have to avoid the roadblock by heading on to the nearby grass. You should also remember about one other thing. Don't try to break through roadblocks located in narrow alleys. Avoid them at all costs!

3 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Infractions Challenge (30000 points)

This is one of the easiest challenges. All you have to do is collect new infractions. You might want to consider speeding, reckless driving, or damage made to the state property. You shouldn't have any problems with this objective.

MAIN EVENT:

This time you will have to take part in two classic Circuit races. Both of them are quite challenging, because if you make even a smallest mistake near the finish line you will have to repeat the whole race.

1. Circuit - Circle Rose

First of all, remember to cut through most of the upcoming corners. It would also be wise to use shortcuts along the way (#1). You should remember their locations from the previous races. Be sure to watch out for a very challenging right turn. You had to deal with it many times in the past. You should also pick a small path located by the rocks. The final part of the race is not that challenging (#2). You will have to go through several corners. Don't use the brakes too often, instead concentrate on keeping a decent speed. Watch out for the last corner. Use the nitro after you're done with it. You might also consider activating the Speedbreaker feature.

8 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Circuit - Switchback

This race is by far more challenging than the previous one... and not only because you have to complete three instead of the usual two laps. The final part of the race will require you to take several corners without making ANY mistakes. Otherwise, the opponent would have took the lead and won the race. At first, you will have to deal with a couple of fast corners (#1). I'd recommend cutting through most of them. You should reach a series of more challenging turns in a minute. Some of them have appeared in the previous race. Watch out for the tight left turn (#2). You have to pick a correct route in order to get through it at the highest possible speed. Don't let the other driver take the lead away from you.

9 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou should reach a small junction in a couple of seconds - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You should reach a small junction in a couple of seconds. I'd recommend picking the right path. Head on to the small passage (#1). You have been using it in the past, so you should remember its location. Use the nitro frequently, especially when moving on a straight line. You have to watch out for the traffic, though. Use the right shortcut near the end of the lap (#2). Be sure to block your opponent! Don't worry, even if you hit the rocks you shouldn't slow down too much.

10 - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughBig Lou had a nicely done, but not too powerful Mitsubishi Eclipse - Black List #11 - Big Lou - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Big Lou had a nicely done, but not too powerful Mitsubishi Eclipse. You don't have to win this car, because you would have sold it anyway. Instead, you may concentrate your efforts on acquiring extra cash or some unique parts.

I don't have to tell you that you should pay a visit to one of the local car saloons. It's very important at this point of the career, because you should buy a new car. Thanks to that, the upcoming races will be a lot easier than suspected. I'm mostly talking about tracks with a lot of sharp turns.

Mercedes SL 500 (#1) is one of the few cars you shouldn't be interested in. The main thing that disqualifies this car completely is its price. Mercedes SL 500 costs 75000 dollars and that's a HUGE amount of money. You'd expect a lot more from such an expensive car. The SL 500 seems like a fast vehicle. Sadly, it turns out that it doesn't handle very well and its being easily outrunned by the other cars. SL 500 is a little bit more useful on the tracks located by the freeways. Nevertheless, you may ignore this vehicle without any regrets.

Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII (#2) is the car I was talking about. It's one of the best vehicles, at least in my personal opinion. Lancer has a 4WD drive, so it handles very well, especially on those tracks that have a lot of tight corners. The car is also very fast, however you must bear in mind that currently you won't have an opportunity to buy too many parts for the Mitsubishi. Don't worry, you will acquire them in the future. I'd strongly recommend purchasing this vehicle and using it in the following races.

You should spend ALL of your current funds on the performance upgrades for the newly acquired Mitsubishi Lancer. The car handles very well without them, but it won't hurt improving standard values. If you'll run out of cash, I'd suggest selling one of the older cars. Mazda RX-8 seems like a good idea, because you'd probably want to stick with the Supra a little while longer.

Remember that the cops won't do you any harm while you are in the middle of the race. The track itself is also not that challenging. You will have to use your brakes in several spots (#1), however you've got nothing to worry about. Furthermore, you will be encountering many shortcuts along the way (#2).

This is a rather challenging race, although if you already know this track you shouldn't have any major problems with it. Be sure to cut through most of the tight corners (#1). You will be forced to use gravel or grass in order to do that. You should also try maintaining a high speed at all times. There's a left turn near the end of this race. DON'T try cutting it, because you'd hit the nearby rocks.

4. Sprint - Stadium & Hwy 1

This challenge, on the other hand, is a simple one. You will have to be more careful in several spots, although you shouldn't worry too much about completing this race. Watch out for the bigger left turn (#1). If you decide to cut through it, be sure to avoid the huge water tower. Hitting that object would probably slow you down a lot. After you reach the refinery use the left shortcut (#2) in order to gain a few extra seconds.

You should reach a tough spot in a couple of seconds where you will have an opportunity to make a huge jump (#1). Concentrate your efforts on maintaining a straight line, so you won't hit any of the surrounding barriers. Remember to use the shortcuts along the way (#2). Bear in mind that the police forces will join the chase. It's a good opportunity to score some extra points, needed to complete current milestones.

6 - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough5 - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

5. Speedtrap - North Bay & Seaside

A very short race, although you shouldn't be feeling too comfortable, because it is rather challenging. Thankfully, most of the speed cameras have been located near mild corners or even straight lines, so you shouldn't have any problems with them. Remember to use your nitro frequently. One of the toughest cameras has been located near a series of corners (#1). Stay on the grass and use the nitro, so you will be able to maintain a decent speed.

Milestones - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Bounty (35000 points)

You will have to earn at least 10000 points during a single pursuit. This may seem a lot. Thankfully, it isn't. The most important thing is to take part in a lot of crashes involving the police forces. Remember that you will receive extra rewards if you manage to destroy a few vehicles in a short period of time.

2. Cost to State Challenge (35000 points)

You shouldn't have any problems completing this challenge. Remember to destroy lamps, signs, bus stops and other objects of this type. You also might want to crash into other vehicles or even police cars.

3. Pursuit Time Challenge (35000 points)

This time you will have to maintain a pursuit for at least five minutes. It shouldn't be much of a problem. Don't forget to stay close to the police vehicles, so you won't lose them and end the pursuit too soon.

4. Roadblock Challenge (35000 points)

Like I've said earlier, you will have more problems with locating roadblocks, than with a successful evasion. I'd recommend staying on the freeway at all times. You will have a lot of space at your disposal and the roadblocks will appear more often. Remember to aim at the back of a squad car (#1). The point is to send it back flying, so you will be able to pass through safely.

MAIN EVENT - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

MAIN EVENT:

You'll be glad to hear that both races are VERY EASY. You probably won't have to repeat them too many times. You also might want to skip some new performance upgrades. If we take a look at the Sprint race, it's all about knowing the track, especially the most precious shortcuts. The drag, on the other hand, will require you to memorize the correct "combination".

1. Sprint - North Bay & Harbour

This challenge is a very easy one. After the start you will have to deal with several mild corners. You shouldn't have any problems with them. Try cutting through most of the corners in order to gain extra lead. Use the shortcuts along the way (#1). You will probably remember most of them. Get ready, because there are more corners nearby. If you're lucky, Baron won't even get close to your car. I'd recommend using the right shortcut near the end (#2). The last few corners are very easy. You don't have to worry about them.

7 - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Drag - Harbour & Ocean

Another simple race. Be sure to avoid the truck that'll appear on your left (#1). You won't have much time to make a correct manoeuvre. Be sure to change lanes often. Thanks to that, you will be able to avoid most of the traffic. You don't have to use any nitro.

I'd STRONGLY recommend fighting for the Baron's car - Black List #10 - Baron - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

I'd STRONGLY recommend fighting for the Baron's car. He was driving a Porsche Cayman S. Why is this vehicle so important? First of all, it's one of the fastest and most useful cars of the game. Additionally, Baron's Porsche has some unique performance upgrades installed. You wouldn't be able to buy them at this time. If you would decide to buy and upgrade Cayman on your own you wouldn't be able to make such a car.

Just as before, you should start off by visiting one of the nearby car dealers. You'll probably be a little surprised, because there are three different cars waiting for you there. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend buying any of them, especially since you own a Cayman S.

Vauxhall Monaro VXR (#1) seems like a very fast car, but with poor handling... and this time the information is correct. Taking control of this beast is certainly not an easy task. You could spend some money to improve Monaro's handling abilities, although you wouldn't achieve too much that way. Why bother when you can stay with your Lancer or even much "older" Supra. Furthermore, you wouldn't have to spend too much money on those two cars in order to improve their performance bars.

Pontiac GTO (#2) looks just like the Vauxhall, it also handles identically. Like I've said before, you shouldn't be interested in any of these cars. I'd be best to spend the rest of the money on something else.

Porsche Cayman S (#3) is by far one of the fastest cars you've manage to unlock. Furthermore, this vehicle handles quite well. If you drove a Lancer before you might find its handling a little bit "risky", although you shouldn't worry about that too much. The main problem with the Cayman is its price. The car costs 60000 dollars (Vauxhall and Pontiac are a lot cheaper). Thankfully, you should have Baron's car, so you wouldn't have to buy one of these.

Before you move on to the next challenges be sure to spend some of your money on performance upgrades for your current cars. You should own a Cayman S and the Mitsubishi Lancer. You can sell the Supra at this point. The same thing goes with the rest of the cars.

Earl will require you to do following things:

1) Races won: 5

2) Milestones completed: 4

3) Total number of points: 790000+.

Races:

1. Tollbooth - Skyview & Waterfront

This race is not too hard, although you should know that police forces might join in to start the pursuit. You shouldn't have any problems with the first few corners. Use the brakes once you reach a tight left run (#1). You will also have to maintain a decent speed. You will be moving on a freeway for the most of this challenge. Remember to use your nitro regularly (#2). Watch out for the additional police cars. You can't get in any type of contact with them.

3 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Speedtrap - Seagate & Horn

You should be able to maintain a highest speed near the first checkpoint (#1), mostly because you will have a lot of time to accelerate properly. The following checkpoints are also situated in obvious points. The only exception is the camera located at the top of the small hill (#2). You have to look at your map often in order to notice its presence.

4 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough3 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Start off by using some of the nearby shortcuts (#1). They shouldn't slow your car down too much. You've got a series of tough corners ahead of you. Remember to use the brakes near one of the checkpoints (#2) in order to cut through a very difficult corner. You might also consider activating the Speedbreaker for a second or two.

You will be able to go through a very unusual shortcut at some point of this challenge (#1). Destroy the metal gate in order to get to the prison. Don't forget to keep a straight line, so you won't hit anything along the way. You will be jumping down to lower platforms. Don't worry, your car shouldn't experience any problems. You'll probably slow down a lot, although you will only profit from this type of action. Use the left shortcut near the finish line (#2).

4. Circuit - Boundary

This a rather easy race, although you will have to be careful at some points. You will encounter a tight corner near the start line (#1). It would be best to cut through it (using the grass). Be sure not to lose too much grip, though. You will be encountering some challenging corners along the way (#2). Thankfully, you should be able to cut through most of them. The final part of this race is very easy. You should be able to maintain a decent lead, that'll secure your ultimate victory.

5. Lap Knockout - Fisher Road

You have to be very careful. There's a difficult left corner near the start line. You will be able to use the prison shortcut in a few seconds (#1). Thanks to that, you should extend your lead even more. Be sure to use other shortcuts along the way. The final part of the lap will require you to cut through several challenging corners (#2). Watch out for the traffic, though. You should win the race without any other problems.

8 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (46000 points)

You shouldn't have any major problems with this challenge. You will have to destroy or immobilize (use the huge constructions in order to do that) at least twelve police vehicles. The fastest way to complete this milestone will require you to brake through several roadblocks (#1).

2 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Bounty (46000 points)

This time you will have to earn at least 30000 points during a single pursuit. It will require you to take part in a chase that lasts about 5-6 minutes. Thankfully, you should be able to complete some other milestones simultaneously.

3. Pursuit Evasion (46000 points)

It would be best to take care of this challenge after you finish one of the unlocked races. You will have to lose the pursuit within a three minute time limit. If you have a fast car you shouldn't worry too much about completing this objective.

4. Roadblock Challenge (46000 points)

You'll probably have some problems with this challenge. Just as before, I'd recommend staying on freeways. If you have the Cayman you shouldn't have any problems with breaking through the roadblocks (#1), although you have to be ready to go into reverse if the action is not successful. You should also notice that you'll be able to attack some roadblock several times. You should earn a point every time you break through them. Be sure to aim at the previously unharmed police vehicles.

MAIN EVENT - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

MAIN EVENT:

Taking down Earl is not an easy thing to do. You shouldn't have any major problems with the Speedtrap challenge, BUT the Sprint is much more challenging. You will have to pick a car with an excellent handling in order to take the last few corners of that race without any major problems. I'd personally recommend Mitsubishi Lancer. More experienced players may pick the Cayman S, although it'll be tough to beat Earl in that car.

1. Speedtrap - North Bay Cannery

The first challenge is very easy. Furthermore, you won't have to cross the finish line before Earl in order to win it. You should remember that from the previous Speedtrap races. Concentrate ALL of your efforts on using the nitro button properly and maintaining higher speed near the designated checkpoints (#1). You have to be careful, though. Some of the cameras have been located near corners (#2). It would be best to use your map in order to locate these points.

9 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Sprint - Camden & Route 55

The first part of this Sprint is not too difficult. You will have to get through a series of mild corners. I'd recommend using shortcuts along the way (#1). Be sure not to hit anything while doing that. More challenging turns will begin to appear shortly (#2). One of the toughest corners will require you to make a sudden right turn. Use the shortcut located in this spot (you can't see it on your map). It would be best to use the Speedbreaker feature in order to pass through it safely.

10 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughAnother tight turn leads to the series of fast corners - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Another tight turn leads to the series of fast corners. You've been here before, so you should remember this area very well (#1). Be careful not to slide too much, especially when moving on grass. You'll have to slow down again in a couple of seconds. A very challenging left turn awaits you (#2).

11 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughLike I've said before, the final part of this challenge is by far the most challenging one - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Like I've said before, the final part of this challenge is by far the most challenging one. At first, you will have to deal with some mild corners (#1). Be sure to keep a high speed at all times. Don't let your opponent take the lead. At the end you will have to go through a small urban zone. You will be encountering very fast and very narrow corners along the way. Just as before, concentrate on blocking Earl. He will be doing his best to overtake you. You should leave this area in a few seconds (#2). Thankfully, only one small jump awaits you. It would be a good idea to use the nitro now. That way, you will be able to secure your lead.

12 - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughEarl was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer - Black List #9 - Earl - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Earl was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer. You should already own this car, so you won't have to fight for his vehicle. Even if you'll be able to win Earl's Lancer, I'd recommend selling it to get more cash. You'll need it...

Taking down Earl will enable you access to the last district of the city - Rockport area. Just as before, you will have to remember that some of the races will take place in unknown areas. It would be best to cruise around the new neighbourhood in order to memorize possible shortcuts or more challenging corners. After you do that, head on to the nearest car saloon. There are two new vehicles waiting for you there. Furthermore, both of them are very interesting!

Subaru Impreza WRX STi (#2) is very similar to currently owned Mitsubishi Lancer. You've probably raced a lot in this car, so you should know what to expect. Impreza handles very well, it also has a decent acceleration and top speed. You shouldn't have any problems with winning the following races in that car. You will probably have to buy some performance upgrades, though. Thankfully, you won't have to install all of them. As a result, this is a very interesting car. You should buy it.

Mazda RX-7 (#2) seems to be a nice alternative. Sadly, it's much more challenging to handle properly. You'll notice that mostly during tight corners. I'm afraid that less experienced players would have some major problems with this car. Nevertheless, RX-7 is an interesting vehicle, especially for Drag events or races with a lot of straight lines. You could consider buying this car, that is if you have enough money. Remember that you will have to buy most of the performance upgrades for the RX-7!!

Now you should head on to the nearest car shop. I'd recommend buying all of the unlocked performance upgrades. If you don't have enough money concentrate only on those parts that will make a significant difference.

1) Races won: 5

2) Milestones completed: 4

3) Total number of points: 1180000+.

Races:

1. Speedtrap - Dunwich & Bayshore

You shouldn't have any problems with the first speed camera (#1). There's a lot of space, so you will be able to accelerate without any interruptions. Remember to ignore other drivers and concentrate only on the following checkpoints. One of the speed cameras have been located near the fast corner, so you might not see it at first glance (#2). Use your map at all times!!

Warning! This time you will also have to avoid police cars. They will appear very soon. Bear in mind that you will be able to use their presence in order to complete some of the milestones. I'd recommend using the left shortcut (#1). It's located near the start line. Watch out for the big jump! It would be wise to slow down a little so you won't hit any barriers (after you land on the ground). The race itself is not too challenging. Watch out for the cops. They will try to slow you down. One of the speed cameras have been located near a tight turn (#2). Use the nitro in order to score a decent speed.

Cut through most of the corners, so you won't lose the lead. Watch out for the police forces, though. You will be able to use the prison shortcut near the end (#2). Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (60000 points)

2. Pursuit Time Challenge (60000 points)

Completing this objective shouldn't be much of a problem. You will have to take part in a six minute pursuit. It would be best to concentrate on other objectives. That way you will achieve this one almost automatically.

3. Spike Strip Challenge (60000 points)

This is your first time with this kind of problem. It would be best to tell something about it. Spike strips will appear ONLY if you have a 4th level pursuit. You probably couldn't get that far before. Well, now it's possible. I have to warn you, though. You will have to deal with several other problems. For starters, some of the cops will try to ram you off the road using heavy SUV's. You will have to avoid their attacks (#1). The other important thing involves the spike strips. You HAVE to avoid them, otherwise you will be caught. There's no turning back. If you drive over the spikes you will be forced to stop. Thankfully, you should be able to avoid most of them without any problems (#2). Use the grass in order to do that. I wouldn't recommend hitting the nearby police vehicles. The impact might send you right into the trap.

4. Infractions Challenge (60000 points)

Another simple challenge. You will have to break the law several times in order to complete it. You probably know what to do. Good luck! :-)

MAIN EVENT:

Jewels is not that hard to beat, HOWEVER you should remember about few things. This time the first race is going to be much harder than the second one. You should be happy about that. If you notice that your car isn't fast enough you will have an opportunity to exit the event and improve its performance. Bear in mind that Jewels has a VERY fast car. You will probably be able to catch her once more challenging turns will begin to appear.

1. Sprint - Camden & Ironwood

You will have to make a sudden left turn near the start line (#1). Be sure to maintain a decent speed, otherwise Jewels would have probably taken the lead. You will find yourself in a long tunnel. After that, you will have to deal with several tight corners. Use the brakes before you get closer to the one of them (#2). You should remember this place from the Prologue section of the career.

You will be encountering some very challenging corners quite regularly. Thankfully, in most of the situations you'll be able to cut through them (#1). You should find yourself on a freeway very soon. A series of fast corners await you. Be sure to block your opponent. The Mustang is a very fast car, so you've got to be extra careful. Head on to the left side of the freeway. You will have to use a narrow passage in order to leave it (#2). The final part of this race is rather easy. Try to concentrate all of your efforts on maintaining the lead.

2. Drag - Union & Rockridge

This Drag race is a rather difficult one. It might surprise you a little, especially since the previous challenges were rather easy. You will have to memorize all of the civilian cars. You should also change your lanes often (#1). I would recommend staying off the nitro button for now. You will be able to win this race without using it. Watch out for the van that will appear near the end (#2). You will have to slow down a little in order to avoid the crash. The final part of this race is less challenging, so you should deal with it swiftly. If you're lucky Jewels might even hit something on her way to the finish.

10 - Black List #8 - Jewels - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou should try winning the car that Jewels were driving during both challenges, however it won't be useful to you - Black List #8 - Jewels - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You should try winning the car that Jewels were driving during both challenges, however it won't be useful to you. I'd strongly recommend selling the car, despite its good looks and great acceleration.

Start off by visiting one of the nearby car dealers. You will have an opportunity to choose between two new cars, however only one of them seems like a fair deal.

Mercedes CLK 500 (#1) is one the cars you definitely shouldn't be interested in. It looks great if you take a closer look at the performance bars, however during the game itself CLK 500 handles horribly. The other thing that I should be mentioning is its price. Mercedes CLK 500 is much more expensive than most of the other cars, and its certainly not any better. As a result, you can skip this vehicle without any doubt.

Lotus Elise (#2), on the other hand, seems like an interesting deal. This car will satisfy those of you who prefer great handling to decent acceleration. Elise is not that fast as you might have expected. You'd have to invest a lot of money into performance upgrades in order to make it more interesting. As a result, Elise is not that powerful to replace older cars - Subaru Impreza or even Mitsubishi Lancer. Having this car is a challenge, really. It's your choice. I'd recommend staying with the Impreza.

Don't forget to pay a visit to one of the local part shops in order to purchase new performance upgrades!

A lot of straight lines await you after the start. You should be able to take the lead and maintain it. More challenging corners will begin to appear near the finish (#1). I'd recommend choosing the correct paths, so you won't lose too much time. Once you're on a final stretch use the nitro in order to leave your opponents behind (#2). This should secure your victory.

If you have some problems with the vehicle located near the end of the bridge try pressing down (and holding!) the right cursor. Thanks to that. your car should be able to pass through safely.

Milestones - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Bounty (70000 points)

This time you will have to collect at least 75000 points. It will probably require you to be involved in a 10-12 minute chase. The easiest way to achieve this goal is to take part in a lot of crashes with police vehicles. You may also try breaking through roadblocks several times.

2. Cost to State Challenge (70000 points)

You shouldn't have ANY problems with this challenge, especially since you're trying to achieve other goals.

3. Pursuit Evasion (70000 points)

You should know by now what has to be done. I'd only like to remind you that you should try taking down huge constructions along the way. Furthermore, don't forget about nearest hideouts.

4. Photo Ticket (40000 points)

I'd recommend taking down this challenge, rather than trying to avoid some of the roadblocks. One of the speed cameras will require you to score a speed of at least 111 MPH (180 KM/H). If you're lucky, you should be a lot faster.

MAIN EVENT:

This time you will have to complete two Sprint races. Both of them are VERY EASY and less complicated than the challenges you had to deal with before. It looks like Kaze isn't trying at all. I was able to win both races without losing the lead or using the repeat option...

1. Sprint - Diamond Valley

Start off by cutting through the right corner. Remember to use your nitro frequently. If you're in the lead, it will be regenerating much faster than usual. Don't forget to use the next shortcut (#1). You should remember it from previous races. Thanks to that, you'll be able to extend your lead even more. A series of sharper corners awaits you (#2). Concentrate your effort on maintaining the correct line. Use the nitro once you reach the next stretch.

8 - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou should reach a small junction within a few seconds - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You should reach a small junction within a few seconds. Pick the path located on the right. You will find yourself in the central part of the urban district. You have to be careful, because you will come across a very challenging turn in a few seconds (#1). There are other corners waiting for you at the other side of this stretch. Once you reach the final part of the race you will have to deal with several new corners (#2). Thankfully, your opponent should be at least 4-5 seconds behind.

9 - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Sprint - Stadium & Chase

After a very simple start you will have to use the brakes in order to cut through a left corner safely (#1). Be sure to take it at a maximum possible speed. You shouldn't have any major problems with the nearby corners, because you should know them very well. Use the right shortcut, located in the industrial district area (#2).

10 - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou probably noticed that some paths have been blocked - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You probably noticed that some paths have been blocked. This will force you on using some very tight shortcuts. One of them has been located beneath the lighthouse (#1). Be sure to make necessary adjustments, so you won't hit any of the surrounding barriers. You will also have to deal with several challenging corners. They have been located near the finish line (#2). Be sure to use your nitro often. Thanks to that, you shouldn't have any problems with this race.

11 - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughKaze wasn't driving a very good car - Black List #7 - Kaze - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Kaze wasn't driving a very good car. You were able to see it for yourself during last two races. Nevertheless, you might want to take it back from her. You should be able to earn some extra cash by selling that car.

Start off by visiting one of the nearby car dealers. I should inform you that from now on the game will be unlocking some of the most interesting cars of the Career mode. Sadly, you can't buy all of them. You might have decided to stay with one of the "older" cars, although I'd personally recommend getting rid off most of these vehicles and looking for something new.

Aston Martin DB9 (#1) should be known to those of you who love beautiful cars. Sadly, it's not one of the best cars available in "Most Wanted". DB9 is certainly very quick, especially when you take a look at the acceleration and top speed bars. Sadly, it doesn't handle very well. You will probably notice it while exploring tracks with a lot of difficult corners. This car is also overpriced. Aston Martin is much more expensive than the 911 and it's certainly not any better. Furthermore, you would have to spend a lot of additional cash on performance upgrades.

Porsche 911 Carrera S (#2) is definitely one of the most interesting and useful cars of the Career mode. First of all, this vehicle is vey easy to handle, especially when you compare its abilities to the DB9. Porsche is also a lot cheaper than the Aston Martin. Thanks to that, you will be save up some cash for additional tuning or other purposes.

I'd personally recommend having two different vehicles. Both of them must have all of the unlocked performance upgrades installed. The first car should be used in races with a lot of corners and during police chases, while the other one would show its advantages during Drags and on a long stretches.

1 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughIn order to pick up Ming's challenge you will have to deal with several races and milestones first - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In order to pick up Ming's challenge you will have to deal with several races and milestones first. Here's the list of the current requirements:

1) Races won: 7

2) Milestones completed: 4

3) Total number of points: 2300000+.

Races:

1. Sprint - West Park & Lyons

You should know that there will be a lot of tracks with long stretches in the following races. Remember that and choose correct races from your garage. Otherwise, the opponents would have left right after the start. Let's concentrate on this challenge for now. At first, you will have to deal with several mild corners. About a half way through you should brake aggressively in order to pass through a tight turn safely (#1). A series of very challenging corners awaits you (#2). Remember to pick your current route wisely, so you won't lose too much speed. Start using nitro near the end. Thanks to that, you should be able to secure your victory.

2 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Tollbooth - Interchange & Tunnel

This challenge is a rather easy one, although you will have to avoid police forces along the way. Be sure to cut through most of the upcoming corners. You will be able to use the left shortcut (#1). The toughest corner of this race (#2) will require you to make a sudden right turn. Remember to brake aggressively. Some more corners will be waiting for you here. You don't have to worry about them too much.

3 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough3 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Sprint - Hwy 201 & Lyons

There are a lot of straight lines on this track, so you have to pick the vehicle carefully. Otherwise, you wouldn't have any chances on winning this race. Remember to use your nitro frequently. After you reach a small junction head on to the path located on your right (#1). The final part of this challenge is by far the most difficult one. Be sure to cut through the wide corner (#2). Don't worry, any of the surrounding objects won't slow you down too much. Keep going STRAIGHT. Don't turn just yet, because you might hit one of the nearby walls. Make a turn AFTER you leave the underground parking. Use the nitro to secure the lead.

4 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough4 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Tollbooth - Penitentiary

You shouldn't have any major problems with the first part of this race. Watch out for the small jump. After you reach the road located under the freeway slow down a little, so you won't hit any of the surrounding pillars (#1). You should reach the main part of this district within a few seconds. Get ready. There are some fast corners here (#2). If you have a car with decent handling abilities you probably won't notice any problems with this segment of the challenge.

5. Sprint - Bond & Country Club

This is a rather challenging race, although if you're a skilled driver you might complete it without any unscheduled restarts. You will have to get through two difficult corners (#1). They are located near the start line. Be sure to pick a correct path, it would also be wise to use the nitro from time to time. The next corners will appear shortly. You might have some problems with the second one (#2). The final part of this race is less challenging. You will have to deal with several stretches. It all depends on how fast your car really is.

6 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough6 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

6. Drag - Riverside & Terrace

Just as before, you will have to concentrate on avoiding the city traffic, rather than changing gears or using nitro (#1). You shouldn't have any major problems with this challenge, that is if you memorize all of the city cars.

7 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

7. Tollbooth - Hwy 201 & Forest

This is a very easy challenge. Like I've said many times before, most of the success depends on the performance of your current car. At first, you will have to deal with several fast corners. Be careful, because if you're driving at very high speeds you might hit one of the surrounding barriers (#1). You will have to cut through a very difficult turn, located near the end (#2). You might want to use the small shortcut, although this is not necessary.

7 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (80000 points)

You should have at least one very powerful car by now. It would be best to use it during these four challenges. Thanks to that, you should earn more points than it is actually required by the driver from the Black List. During this challenge you will have to take care of at least 22 police vehicles. Thankfully, you should score points even for some smaller crashes. You don't have concentrate all of your effort on destroying them (#1).

2 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Pursuit Time Challenge (80000 points)

You will have to maintain a successful pursuit for at least seven minutes in order to accomplish this challenge. Thankfully, you shouldn't have any problems with that.

3. Roadblock Challenge (80000 points)

The rules of this challenge haven't change since the last time. You will have to break through or avoid at least ten roadblocks (#1). Remember that you may try hitting some of them again. If you're lucky, you should be able to score another point. Thanks to that, you won't have to look for any other roadblocks and there's a less change of being caught. You should also remember to stay on freeways all the time.

4 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Spike Strip Challenge (80000 points)

I guess I don't have to remind you that you should be VERY careful. Even a smallest contact with one of the spikes will result in a mission failure (#1). You should also remember that you won't have to break through police cars in order to score a point. It would be best to stay on the grass.

MAIN EVENT - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

MAIN EVENT:

This time you will have to deal with two difficult challenges - a Circuit race and a Speedtrap run. If you're thinking of taking down Ming without any problems you will have to acquire ALL of the unlocked performance upgrades for your favorite car. The vehicle itself must have a very high top speed. Handling won't be important during both of these races.

1. Circuit - Little Italy

You will come across a very tight turn, located near some mild corners (#1). Try picking a correct route, so you won't lose too much speed. After a long stretch you will have to deal with two other corners (#2). Both of them are rather challenging. Remember to use your brakes earlier than usual, because you will probably be driving at a very high speed. You can't afford slamming into one of the barriers, because Ming will probably use it to take the lead away from you.

8 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughThere are more tight corners nearby (#1) - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

There are more tight corners nearby (#1). Thankfully, you should be able to cut through most of them, so you probably won't lose the lead... that is if you don't make any serious mistakes. There's a straight line leading to the finish. You have to use the rest of the nitro. If you're lucky, you will come across a small jump along the way (#2).

9 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Speedtrap - North Bay & College

This is one of the most challenging races of the Career mode. The main complication involves Ming's Lamborghini Gallardo. It's a very fast car. You will have to be quick in order win this race (#1). Concentrate all of your efforts on the speed cameras. You don't have to reach the finish line in the first place. It's also very important to use nitro frequently (#2). Watch out for those cameras that have been located near fast corners. Good luck!!

10 - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou HAVE TO win Ming's Lamborghini Gallardo - Black List #6 - Ming - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You HAVE TO win Ming's Lamborghini Gallardo. It's one of the fastest and most agile cars of this game. You will be using it for some time. Furthermore, Ming's vehicle has many performance upgrades installed, so you won't have to buy them on your own.

You should head on to the nearest car saloon, even if you've managed to win Ming's Lamborghini. It would be best to compare performance bars of all of the unlocked cars.

Dodge Viper (#1) certainly looks nice and has some great sound engine. Sadly, you shouldn't be interested in it. I can assure you that the Gallardo or even one of the "older" cars is a better proposition. Viper is an extremely fast car, especially when you've bought all of the performance upgrades, HOWEVER it handles horribly. Take a look at the performance bars to notice a HUGE difference. Viper is cheaper than the Gallardo, however you should already own a Lamborghini. Furthermore, you would have to spend a lot of money to buy all of the performance upgrades for the Viper.

Lamborghini Gallardo (#2) doesn't only look great, but it also is very agile. The car drives like a dream. You won't have ANY problems with the sharper turns, even while moving at higher speeds. Gallardo will be replaced by Murcielago in the near future, however at this point of the Career mode you shouldn't worry about that. Gallardo is a little slower than some of the other cars from the pack, however you will be able to extend the lead while getting through corners, so you won't have to worry about that.

Be sure to spend the rest of the money on performance upgrades. You should be interested in the improved Nitro. This item have appeared in all of the local car shops.

In order to take down Webster you will have to deal with his requirements first. Here they are:

1) Races won: 7

2) Milestones completed: 4

3) Total number of points: 3050000+.

Races:

1. Lap Knockout - Dunwich Village

You will have to deal with several challenging turns after the start. This will also include a series of very fast corners, however you won't have to worry about them too much. Remember to use your brakes before the tight left turn (#1). You should also maintain a decent speed while doing that. Don't forget to use shortcuts along the way (#2). You probably remember most of them. The final part of the race is definitely less challenging. Don't go under the tunnel, because you'd have to slow down a lot.

2 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Circuit - Ironhorse

You will encounter some challenging corners near the start line (#1). If you're lucky, you should be able to cut through most of them, however I'd like to say that there will be a lot more of them in the future. A very difficult turn has been located near the ending part of a long stretch (#2). Use your brakes aggressively in order to get through it safely. You have to be very careful near the end of the last lap. There are two challenging corners here. You can't make any mistakes, otherwise you would have lost the whole race.

3. Sprint - Lyons & State

The first part of this challenge isn't too hard, however you will have to slow down in a few places. You shouldn't have any problems with that. You will reach a forest path very soon (#1). Pick your shortcuts carefully. You also have to watch out for bigger trees, because they will stop your car. You can't destroy them in any way. After you leave the park use the nearest shortcut in order to extend your lead even more. You will be surprised with a lot of challenging corners (#2). Remember to use the brakes wisely. You will also have an opportunity to cut through most of them.

4 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough4 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

4. Tollbooth - Stadium & Beacon

This is a very easy challenge. You will be encountering some junctions along the way, although in most cases both routes will be equally interesting. You should concentrate most of your efforts on avoiding barriers and buildings. Hitting these objects will slow you down considerably. You will probably notice a small shortcut along the way (#1), however you may ignore it. I'd recommend using the factory shortcut located near the finish line (#2). You will probably gain at least a couple of seconds by choosing this path. Watch out for the police forces!

5. Sprint - Camden & Fisher

Use the well known shortcut that's been located near the start line (#1). Remember to avoid barriers and other larger objects. You will have to deal with several fast corners. Be sure to stay on the main road, so you won't hit anything along the way. There's a clever shortcut located in the industrial zone. Once you're on a very long stretch (#2) activate the nitro to regain your usual speed. The final part of this challenge is rather easy. Just as before, you will have to avoid police units.

6. Tollbooth - Bay Bridge & Forest

You probably won't have ANY problems with this challenge. After you reach the first junction pick the path located on your right. Watch out for a rather challenging left turn, located near one of the checkpoint gates (#1). You will probably have to use the brakes quite aggressively, because you'll be driving at a very high speed. Be careful, because there are more of these corners nearby. Remember to use all known shortcuts. One of them will require you to break through a huge billboard (#2).

7 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough7 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

7. Tollbooth - Skyview & Coast

Pick the left lane after the start. Thanks to that, you should be able to save up at least a couple of seconds. The next junctions aren't that important. You have to watch out for some fast corners, though (#1). Most of them have been located near straight lines, so you've got to use your brakes wisely. There's a sharp right turn near the end (#2). You have to be very careful here.

8 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Bounty (90000 points)

This is one of the most difficult challenges of the game, however you should try to complete it. You will have to score at least 200000 Bounty points during a single pursuit. It will probably take you at least 10 minutes. I'd personally recommend getting involved in a lot of crashes with police vehicles. You might also try breaking through roadblocks.

2. Cost to State Challenge (90000 points)

This, on the other hand, is a very simple challenge. You will have to make damages worth at least 100000 dollars. It shouldn't be that hard, especially since you're trying to complete other objectives as well.

3. Pursuit Evasion (90000 points)

This is an easy challenge, however you should stay on the lowest level of a pursuit in order to complete it. I'd personally recommend picking this challenge from the main menu. Thanks to that, you won't have to worry about any additional units.

4. Spike Strip Challenge (90000 points)

I don't have to remind you (AGAIN ;-)) that you've got to be extra careful (#1). Like I've said before, try staying on freeways. Thanks to that, you will have a chance to escape or evade police units successfully. It would also be wise to activate the Speedbreaker feature once you notice a spike strip. Thanks to that, you will be able to plan your next actions carefully.

MAIN EVENT - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

MAIN EVENT:

I've got some bad news for you. For the first time ever you will have to take part in THREE events. Furthermore, this won't change in the next stages of the Career mode. As for these races, I'd recommend choosing a very fast vehicle, although it should also handle decently.

1. Sprint - Beach & Chancellor

There are some fast corners near the start line. You will be able to use an interesting shortcut along the way (#1). Don't miss it, because your opponent would have taken the lead. This is the only way to stay in front of him. You will be encountering other shortcuts very soon. Choose the small path located beneath the lighthouse (#2).

2 - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Speedtrap - State & Petersburg

This is by far the most challenging race of the current Main Event. The speed cameras have been located in very difficult spots. You will have to remember that, especially while taking some of the sharper corners. One of the first speed cameras have been located in a middle of slow turns (#1). You will have to pick a good route. Don't forget about the possibility of using nitro! The other speed cameras are located in similar spots (#2). You will have to be very careful and precise. The only exception is the last camera. It's been located in a very long tunel. Good luck!

First of all, you will have to go through several fast corners. More challenging turns will begin to appear shortly (#1). Use your brakes wisely in order to pass through them safely. You will also have an opportunity to cut through most of them. The following corners should be well known to you by now. The only exception is the challenging left turn (#2), leading to one of the freeways.

I guess I don't have to remind you that maximum possible speed should be kept at all times. Furthermore, you must be using nitro. You will reach the forest path within a couple of seconds (#1). Be careful, because you probably don't know it too well. Thankfully, the final part of the challenge is less complicating. You will be driving mostly on straight lines with a few mild corners.

Webster was driving a Chevy Corvette with all of the performance upgrades installed - Black List #5 - Webster - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Webster was driving a Chevy Corvette with all of the performance upgrades installed. You might want to fight for it, although you'll probably sell it afterwards.

First of all, head on to one of the nearest cal saloons. You will be presented with two new vehicles there. You should already know one of them. It's the same Corvette to Webster's car. If you won it, I think it's rather obvious that you shouldn't be buying a second Chevy.

Porsche 911 Turbo S (#1) is a very good car. You were probably thinking that it's the fastest Porsche of this game. Well... you're wrong. Nevertheless, you should be interested in acquiring this vehicle. I mean, it won't replace all of your older cars, but it's an interesting alternative. If you were to tune it properly you could be looking at a very fast and agile car. I must warn you, though. Performance upgrades for this car are very expensive. You'd probably have to spend a few hundred thousand dollars on them.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 (#2) is certainly a better car than the Viper (you've managed to unlock it before), however it doesn't mean that it's worth of your attention. Nevertheless, I must say that Corvette handles quite well. It's also fast, although it's not that good as the 911 Turbo S. Chevy is a bit cheaper, but at this point of the Career it'll probably won't make any difference to you.

Just as before, I'd recommend spending extra cash on the most interesting performance upgrades. You might also want to save up some money for later. I have to warn you, that some of the upcoming cars will be VERY expensive.

Races:

1. Tollbooth - North Bay & Beacon

First of all, remember to use known shortcuts along the way. Most of them will be in very obvious places (especially near the start line), however you may not notice everything (#1). Bear in mind that the police forces will join the pursuit very soon. If you have a fast car you don't have to worry about them, though. Head on to the nearest tunnel. After that, you will have to slow down in order to pass through a very tight turn (#2). You should reach a lighthouse near the end of this challenge. 2. Lap Knockout - Chancellor Way

First of all, you will have to watch out for some challenging corners. They've been located near the start line. I'd recommend keeping a decent speed at all times. Don't forget to use your nitro frequently. You will be encountering shortcuts along the way. Two of them have been located near the city square (#1). You should remember them from one of the Black List challenges. The final part of the race is by far the most challenging one. You MUST use the left shortcut (#2). Furthermore, you have to drive a little slower than usual. Thanks to that, you won't hit anything after the jump. You will have to drive through the long right turn without any problems.

Remember to use your brakes aggressively. Once you're on a straight line activate the nitro in order to get back to the usual speed. Another corner awaits you at the other end of this stretch. Police forces should join the pursuit very soon. Don't forget about cutting through most of the corners. You should also be using shortcuts along the way (#2). There are two DIFFICULT corners nearby. You will have to be very careful at this point of the race (#1). More challenging turns await you. Don't forget about using nitro from time to time. Thankfully, you should be able to cut through the last turn (#2). This should help you to secure your ultimate victory.

I'd recommend picking the right lane after the start. Thanks to that, you should take the lead. Remember to use known shortcuts along the way. You will also need to watch out for some narrow roads. At some point of the race you will have to deal with several tight turns (#1). Remember to use your nitro frequently. There are even more shortcuts located in the industrial district (#2). The final part of this challenge is much easier. I'd recommend going into the main tunnel, rather than choosing a small path.

Start off by cutting through a narrow right turn. You should be very careful, because at some point of this challenge you will need to enter a small passage (#1). Don't hit anything while doing that. Sadly, there aren't any shortcuts nearby. You will have to be careful, though. There's a difficult jump. You should be able to reach it within a few seconds. I'd recommend slowing down, otherwise you would have hit the nearby wall. You shouldn't have any problems with the upcoming corners. After you get on the freeway it's going to get easier. You will have a lot of straight lines ahead of you. After you reach the small junction pick the path located on your left (#2). Change the lane once you've reached the tunnel.

7. Tollbooth - Industrial & Omega

Once you've reached the junction head on to the path located on your left. You will have to deal with several corners. Thankfully, they're not that hard as you might have probably suspected. Use the brakes once you've reached a sharp left turn (#1). Continue moving forward. Don't forget to use the small shortcut located beneath the lighthouse (#2). Use nitro frequently.

8 - Black List #4 - JV - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #4 - JV - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (100000 points)

This time you will have to take care of at least 28 police vehicles. This will probably require to sacrifice at least 8-10 minutes of your precious time. Be sure to stay on of the higher levels of pursuit. Thanks to that, you should be able to complete this challenge much faster.

2. Bounty (100000 points)

You will probably have some major problems with this milestone. You must earn at least 325000 Bounty points during a SINGLE pursuit!! Like I've said before, it would be best to get to one of the higher levels of the pursuit. Try taking down several police vehicles at once or within a short time limit. Thanks to that, you will activate some additional combos. If you're lucky, you could score 5000-7000 points for a single action (even more if you're dealing with SUV's).

3. Cost to State Challenge (100000 points)

This challenge, on the other hand, shouldn't be much of a problem. You will probably complete it automatically, while trying to achieve previous goals.

4. Infractions Challenge (100000 points)

This is a very easy challenge. You will have to score at least six infractions, by breaking all kinds of rules. You might want to consider speeding, crashing into police vehicles, destroying the state property or going off the main road. It shouldn't be much of a problem to you.

5. Photo Ticket (76000 points)

You can choose between three different spots. It would be best to accomplish all of them in order to score extra points. If you're in a hurry, I'd recommend picking the last one. It will require you to achieve 152 MPH (245 KM/H). If you're lucky, you should be going much faster... that is, if you have a powerful car.

MAIN EVENT:

Just as before, you will have to take part in three different events. The Speedtrap challenge is by far the most challenging one. If your car isn't dealing with it properly, I'd recommend leaving the race and spending some extra cash on better performance upgrades.

1. Speedtrap - Dunwich & Hills

You start off in a very unusual spot. You will have to make a sudden turn in order to get back to the main road. Start accelerating. Don't use the nitro just yet. Head on to the big tunnel. Once you're in a middle of it, activate the nitro. It's very important, because the first speed camera has been located nearby (#1). I'd recommend using the shortcut located on your right. Try to maintain the lead. Watch out for a very challenging left turn, located on the other side of this road. The following cameras have been placed in very difficult spots (#2), mostly in a middle of fast corners. Don't forget about the nitro. Concentrate only on scoring decent speeds. You won't have be the first one to reach the finish line.

2. Drag - Rosewood & Heritage

This is a rather challenging Drag race. Thankfully, the start itself is rather easy. After you get past first two vehicles, I'd recommend changing lanes in order to avoid serious crashes (#1). Use the nitro, so you will be able to drive beneath a huge truck. Continue to accelerate. Remember to change lanes frequently.

3 - Black List #4 - JV - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

3. Speedtrap - Petersburg & Hwy 201

Thankfully, this Speedtrap challenge is much easier than the first one. Furthermore, it's very short. I'd recommend picking the left lane after the start. Use the nitro in order to achieve maximum possible speed near the first camera. Use the shortcut located on your right (#1). Thanks to that, you will be able to score a decent speed near the second checkpoint. You will be encountering rather challenging corners along the way. You should find yourself on a freeway. After reaching the small junction choose the path located on your right (#2). Thanks to that, you will be able to maintain higher speed. The final part of this challenge will require you to drive through several fast corners.

10 - Black List #4 - JV - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughJV was driving a fully upgraded Dodge Viper - Black List #4 - JV - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

JV was driving a fully upgraded Dodge Viper. You might want to consider fighting for this car, mostly for selling purposes. Like I've said before, the Viper isn't too friendly to drive.

First of all, you should head on to one of the nearest car saloons, however you might consider saving up money for later. After you're done with Ronnie, the game will unlock two best vehicles of the game. Like I've said before, they will be very expensive to buy and upgrade.

Lamborghini Murcielago (#1) is like a better Gallardo. I think it's the shortest possible description for this car. There are some major differences, though. First of all, Murcielago is much faster than the Gallardo. The car handles very well, however you would have to spend a lot of money into the performance upgrades. I'd personally recommend staying with one of the "older" cars. The only exception would be if you had wanted to switch the Gallardo to something similar, but slightly better.

Ford GT (#2) is one of the biggest disappointments of the game, at least in my personal opinion. First of all, the car handles horribly. You will probably notice that while going through series of faster corners. You will lose a lot of time during these moments. Nonetheless, the car has some advantages. GT is very powerful, so you wouldn't have any problems during challenges with a lot of straight lines. The main thing is that these type of races aren't that common during the Career mode. As a result, you might as well forget about this Ford, especially since the better Murcielago is a lot cheaper.

1 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughRonnie will require you to accomplish eight instead of seven races - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Ronnie will require you to accomplish eight instead of seven races. Here's the list:

1) Races won: 8

2) Milestones completed: 5

3) Total number of points: 5550000+.

Races:

1. Sprint - Seagate & Camden

The first part of this challenge is not that hard. You should remember this track from the previous races. Use the right shortcut once you've left the main tunnel. Watch out for the tight right turn, though (#1). You will have to use your brakes quite aggressively. You will be encountering a lot of interesting shortcuts along the way (#2). It would be best to use them. The only exception are the very tight turns. In that case, I'd recommend staying on the main road. Use the nitro to help you out in difficult moments.

2 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough2 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

2. Lap Knockout - Riverside

You should reach a small junction that's located near the start line. Choose the path located on your left. The next decisions won't be that important, so you don't have to worry about them too much. Remember to use all visible shortcuts along the way (#1). Don't forget about the possibility of activating nitro, either. You should reach the sewers within a few seconds. It's probably your first time here, so you have to be very careful. Don't hit any of the pillars!! You might also consider using the left shortcut (#2). It should help you to keep the lead.

3 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughWatch out for a very challenging right corner (#1) - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Watch out for a very challenging right corner (#1). It's been located near the sewers exit. Use the nitro to help you out in more difficult moments. You will have to deal with several tight corners near the end of the lap (#2). Thankfully, you should be able to cut through most of them. Don't forget about your opponents. You might consider blocking their movements at this point of the race.

3. Tollbooth - Petersburg Projects

This challenge is a very easy one. You shouldn't have any problems with it. There's a long stretch after the start. You have to be careful, though. There's a challenging jump over here. Thankfully, you don't have to slow down (#1). Get ready for the upcoming corners. You should know this segment of the track very well. Thankfully, the corners are very fast, so you should be able to maintain a rather high speed. Watch out for the local police forces. They will start the pursuit very soon. You will have to make a sudden left turn just before the finish line (#2).

4. Sprint - Bond & Forest Green

First of all, you will have to go through a long tunnel. Use the brakes once you leave it, because there are some challenging corners nearby (#1). You won't be allowed to make any mistakes. Otherwise, you would have lost your lead. More corners have been located nearby, however if you've got a car with good handling abilities you shouldn't worry about them at all. The final part of this challenge is by far the most challenging one. You will be driving on a freeway (#2). Avoid the nearby trees at all costs. Warning! If the opponents have faster cars try returning to the main menu and restarting the challenge from there. If you're lucky, they will be "awarded" with slower vehicles. Thanks to that, you should be able to win this race without any problems.

5. Speedtrap - Masterson & Route 55

You shouldn't have any major problems with this challenge... that is, if you've managed to win these type of races before. Most of the speed cameras have been located near some mild corners (#1). Try to pick a best possible route. Thanks to that, you will be driving with higher overall speed. Don't forget about the possibility of using nitro! You will be encountering more challenging turns along the way (#2), however you don't have to worry about them too much.

6. Tollbooth - Petersburg & Project

Pick the left path once you've reached the first junction. Sadly, you won't be able to accelerate too much, because there's a challenging turn nearby (#1). You must go past it without any problems. More junctions have been located nearby. In most of the cases, both paths will lead to the same conclusion. Be sure to use shortcuts along the way. You will also be able to cut through most of the corners. Once you've reached the industrial district you will be presented with a series of very challenging turns (#2).

7. Tollbooth- Wharf & North Bay

Use the tunnel located beneath the lighthouse. Even if you hit one of the surrounding barriers you will have an opportunity to restart the race without losing too much time. Watch out for a very challenging left turn (#1). More corners have been located nearby. Be sure to break through metal gates in order to get to the lower platforms. Once you've reached the refinery use the left shortcut. You will come across a new junction in a few seconds. Head on to the right path (#2). Choose the narrow road located near the exit of the nearby tunnel.

8. Sprint - Hwy 99 & Projects

It's a very simple race, really... mostly because that you should know this track very well. Use the prison platforms that have been located near the start line (#1). Thanks to that, you should be able to maintain a rather comfortable lead. Watch out for some tight turns, though (#2). You will have to deal with them in a few seconds. Thankfully, the final segments of this track aren't too complicated. Once you've reached the industrial district use a couple of surrounding shortcuts in order to maintain the lead.

10 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (140000 points)

It's a rather difficult challenge. You will have to make contact with at least 32 police vehicles. I guess I don't have to remind, that you should try advancing the pursuit to one of the higher levels. I'd recommend hitting smaller roadblocks and staying on the freeways all the time.

2. Bounty (140000 points)

This is by far one of the most difficult milestones of the Career mode. You will have to collect 600000 Bounty points during a single pursuit!! Remember about the possibility of activating additional combos. If you're not that comfortable with these pursuits you might consider completing all of the photo tickets instead.

3. Pursuit Evasion (140000 points)

This is a very easy challenge. I'd recommend choosing in from the garage menu. Thanks to that, you should be able to immobilize or lose surrounding police vehicles quite easily. You must do it within a two minute time limit.

4. Pursuit Time Challenge (140000 points)

This time you will have to maintain a pursuit for at least nine minutes. It shouldn't be much of a problem, especially since you're trying to accomplish at least two other goals.

5. Photo Ticket (94000 points)

You can choose between three different milestones. Thankfully, you won't have to be driving at insane speeds in order to accomplish these challenges. A fully tuned vehicle will do just fine.

MAIN EVENT:

You will have to win two Circuit races and a Sprint in order to defeat Ronnie. The races aren't too hard, however you will have to spend a lot of time with them, mostly because of the long Circuit challenges.

1. Circuit - Bay Bridge

This isn't a hard challenge, mostly because you will have an opportunity to extend your lead near the end of each lap. Once you've started make a right turn and use the nitro. You will have to go through several difficult corners (#1). Don't worry about the surrounding objects. You must only avoid pillars and buildings. You should reach a very well known sectors of the map very soon. Be careful, though. There's a tricky turn located at the end of a long stretch (#2). You can't afford making any mistakes.

They will begin to appear shortly. Don't forget about the possibility of using nitro. The final part is going to be a lot harder, mostly because you will have to go through a very tricky right turn (#2). It would be a good idea to activate the Speedbreaker feature, especially since your opponent will probably be close to taking the lead away from you.

You will have an opportunity to make a huge jump after the start (#1). Once you're on the ground use the brakes in order to get past a nearby turn. You should reach a small passage leading to a tunnel. Be careful, because your opponent will probably speed up. Don't worry about it, because you'll able to hit his car at the other end of the tunnel (#2).

You might want to consider winning Ronnie's Aston Martin DB9 - Black List #3 - Ronnie - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You might want to consider winning Ronnie's Aston Martin DB9. Just as before, you will probably sell it, because it won't be of any use to you, especially since the following races will require having a very powerful car.

You HAVE TO visit one of the local car dealers. Two of the most powerful cars will be waiting for you there. You should buy one of them. I have to warn you, though. Both vehicles are very expensive. You will also have to spend a lot of money on various performance upgrades.

McLaren Mercedes SLR (#1) doesn't only look good, but it also handles quite well. It's definitely the only Mercedes model you should be interested in. It's much better than the previous cars of this brand. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend buying it, because you will have an opportunity to win this car after you're done with Bull. Furthermore, the Porsche seems like a better alternative. The choice is yours...

Porsche Carrera GT (#2) is by far the most interesting car of the game. Take a closer look at the performance bars if you don't believe me. ;-) They're much better than those of the previous cars. Carrera GT is also better than the SLR, although the differences aren't that obvious in this case. Furthermore, Porsche is a lot cheaper than the Mercedes. Thanks to that, you could have spent extra cash on new performance upgrades.

3) Total number of points: 7550000+.

Races:

1. Circuit - Campus Interchange

This is a rather challenging race. You will be moving mostly on straight lines, and the computer will probably cheat a lot. ;-) You should have a very powerful car, so that you will be able to stay close to the rest of the pack. Remember to use nitro frequently. Once you've reached the first junction head on to the left path (#1). You might want to get back to the right lane in the nearby tunnel. You should also try blocking other cars, although it's a little bit risky. You will have to deal with several fast corners located near the finish line (#2). Try to avoid surrounding barriers at all costs. Choose the path located on your right and then use the nitro to secure this victory.

You should also be on a look out for any possible shortcuts. You may consider using a path located near the tunnel as well as the narrow roads situated near the tight turns (#2). 5. Speedtrap - Lennox & Camden

This challenge is easier than the Speedtraps you've managed to accomplish before. Unlike in the other races, you should get some advantage thanks to those cameras who have been placed near fast corners (#1). It looks like the opponents have slower cars, so you shouldn't have too much problem beating them. Concentrate on cameras located on long stretches (#2). It would be best to use all remaining nitro near these points. You should also maintain a successful lead, although this is not necessary.

The first part of the race is certainly an easiest one. After leaving the tunnel you will have to deal with several mild corners. Use the brakes near a tight left turn (it will appear once you've finished about 40% of the race). You should reach a series of tight turns very soon (#1). I'd recommend destroying the nearby roadblock. You might also consider using other shortcuts, although it is not necessary. Just as before, you will have to avoid heavy traffic. Watch out for a huge truck (#1). If you're lucky, you should be able to drive under the trailer.

8 - Black List #2 - Bull - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

8. Circuit - East Park

First of all, you will have to deal with several tight corners (#1). They are located near the start line. If you have a good car you might as well use this to your advantage. Most of the opponents will probably slow down here. After leaving the tunnel make a left turn. The final part of this lap is much easier (#2), although you will have to remain cautious. Other drivers may try attacking you, however if you've managed to outrun them before, you shouldn't be worried about them now.

Milestones:

1. Cost to State Challenge (180000 points)

The rules of this challenge haven't changed since the last time. You will have to destroy everything that gets in your way. You shouldn't have any problems with leaving damages worth of at least 200000 dollars.

2. Pursuit Time Challenge (180000 points)

You shouldn't have any problems with this challenge. The objective is to maintain a successful pursuit for at least nine minutes. Remember that you can't lose the chase, otherwise the pursuit would have ended too early.

3. Spike Strip Challenge (180000 points)

You've probably noticed that all of the pursuits start from the highest, fifth level. It's because sergeant Cross wants to capture all of the remaining Black List drivers. His officers are driving fast Chevy's so you've got to be extra careful (#1). You might have some problems with losing them, though. I'd recommend moving at high speeds and making some risky manoeuvres. As for this milestone, you will have to avoid at least eight spike strips (#2). Remember to stay on the freeway and avoid hitting the roadblocks.

5. Photo Ticket (114000 points)

You shouldn't have any problems with getting a required speed. I'd recommend scoring all of the challenges in order to get extra points.

MAIN EVENT:

You will have to take part in three different events. The Circuit race is the most difficult one, at least in my personal opinion. It's mostly because making a lot of mistakes will force you to repeat a lot more than in a Sprint run.

1. Circuit - Oil Refinery

There are some straight lines and mild corners after the start. This should help to achieve a comfortable lead. You can also activate nitro from time to time. You will come across two difficult corners (#1). You might want to cut through them a little. Be sure to monitor your opponent, so you won't lose the lead. The refinery district is next. Use the well known right shortcut (#2). Just as before, I'd recommend activating the Speedbreaker to help you get past it safely.

This time you won't have to visit any of the local car dealers, because you've already unlocked all cars. The same goes with the parts shop. The only exception is when you couldn't afford some of the upgrades before. Other than that, you may as well skip these actions. I'd recommend checking out Bull's car... that is, if you won it. Razor will require you to do following things:

1) Races won: 9

2) Milestones completed: 5

3) Total number of points: 10000000+.

Races:

1. Sprint - Hwy 2001

The first part of the race is very simple. You will have to deal with several mild corners. Be sure to use shortcuts along the way. You should also remember about maintaining a high speed, especially while moving on straight lines. Watch out for a challenging right turn (#1). You will have to deal with it in a few seconds. There are some more corners nearby. Thankfully, you should be able to cut through most of them. Watch out for some fast curves, though. They're very tricky. You should reach the freeway section near the end of this challenge. You might want to consider using the forest shortcuts (#2), however you will have to be careful, because there's a small jump here. You have to be very precise, otherwise you would have end up on the invisible wall.

2. Sprint - Diamond Park

Just as before, you shouldn't have any problems after the start. Watch out for some of the nearby tunnels. Don't hit any of the walls. Cut through most of the upcoming corners. After reaching the prison use the known shortcut (#1). Thanks to that, you should be able to extend your lead even more. Watch out for the police forces, though. There's a challenging left turn near the lighthouse (#2). DON'T try cutting through it. The final part is much easier. You will be presented will several mild corners. Don't forget about your nitro!

3. Sprint - Industrial & Bristol

There's a right corner near the start. I'd recommend slowing down a little, so you won't hit any of the walls. You will probably have some major problems with maintaining the lead. Watch out for a very tricky turn leading to one of the freeways (#1). Remember to use nitro from time to time. You will be presented will several junctions along the way. You should focus your attention only on maintaining highest possible speeds. There's a long tunnel with a very challenging left turn near its end (#2). You HAVE TO cut through it without ANY problems. Otherwise, you'd have to repeat the race. If you're not in the lead try crashing into one of the cars in front, rather than using the brakes. It's very risky, although you should be able to pull it off.

4. Tollbooth - Route 55 & Chase

All of the Tollbooth challenges from this group are rather simple, although you should know that they are very long. Use the known shortcut located near the start line. There are two other corners over here. Now you will have to deal with a series of mild curves. Watch out for a very tricky right turn (#1). You will have to use your brakes aggressively in order to pass through it safely. Watch out for the additional police forces. Don't forget about the possibility of using nitro. Avoid hitting other objects, especially slower cars. Another difficult corner will require you to make a sudden right turn (#2). Stay on the main road while doing that.

You will be encountering sharper corners from time to time (#1). Bear in mind that the police vehicles will be pushing you off the main road. You have to avoid their attacks at all costs. Once you've reached the industrial district you will only have to deal with several new corners. Thankfully, only a few of them will require you to reduce the speed significantly (#2).

5. Tollbooth - Petersburg & Camdem

First of all, you will have to go through several LONG stretches. You should already know by now, that the most important thing is to keep a high speed at all times. I wouldn't recommend using any of the forest shortcuts. Once you've reached the urban district you will also have to focus your attention on avoiding other cars. Additionally, watch out for the concrete pillars (#1). You should reach a very challenging left turn (#2). Be careful. There are more similar corners nearby.

6. Speedtrap - Union Row & Seaside

I guess it won't be a surprise if I tell you that most of the speed cameras have been located near some very challenging corners (#1). You will have to concentrate all of your efforts on picking a correct route, so that you will be able to maintain a higher speed near that checkpoint. You mustn't forget about nitro, either! Few checkpoints are located in a middle of straight lines (#2). In these type of cases, don't forget to accelerate earlier. Activate the nitro once you've spotted the camera.

Like I've said before, most of the speed cameras have been located in some very difficult spots. One of these checkpoints is in the industrial area (#1). DON'T use the right shortcut, because you'd have to slow down a lot. You can't afford that. Stay on the main road and concentrate on maintaining a decent speed. The second difficult camera is located near a series of very sharp turns (#2). You will have to be very cautious while going through the first corner. You might even consider activating the Speedbraker for a second or two.

8. Sprint - Bay Bridge & Seaside

There are some mild corners waiting for you here. You shouldn't worry about this at all, especially since you'll be able to cut through most of them. You may consider using the left shortcut and breaking through a huge billboard (#1), however this is not necessary. You should reach the freeway in a few seconds. Remember to activate nitro from time to time. You will also have to avoid bigger trees. The motorway exit is going to be very narrow, so you have to be careful. You will probably have some problems with fast curves located in the urban district (#2). Additionally, watch out for a very sharp left turn. The final part of the race is much easier. Remember to use known shortcuts along the way.

This is a very long run, however you shouldn't have any major problems with it. Be sure to cut through the first corner. Be careful, because there are more challenging corners nearby (#1). Avoid metal constructions. Hitting these objects would have slowed you down almost instantly. Furthermore, I wouldn't recommend cutting through the nearby corners. You should be able to reach the urban district very soon. Watch out for a tricky left turn (#2). You will have to use your brakes aggressively.

You will be encountering some junctions along the way, however in most cases both paths will be equally interesting.

12 - Black List #1 - Razor - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and WalkthroughMilestones - Black List #1 - Razor - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Milestones:

1. Trade Paint (220000 points)

This is one of the toughest challenges, although you should be able to complete it without any major problems. You will have to crash into at least 35 police vehicles. It's not that simple, because the pursuits will automatically jump to the fifth (highest) level. This means all sorts of trouble. You will be attacked by very powerful Chevy's. You have to be careful while trying to achieve this milestone.

2. Bounty (220000 points)

This is by far the most challenging milestone of the Career mode. Nonetheless, I'd recommend trying to accomplish this objective. You will have to earn at least 850000 Bounty points during a single pursuit. You can achieve this ONLY by scoring high-leveled combos.

3. Pursuit Evasion (220000 points)

This is a rather challenging objective, mostly because you will have to deal with extremely fast Corvette's, rather than usual police vehicles. You have two minutes to escape the pursuit successfully. You should concentrate most of your efforts on finding a good hideout. Once you've taken care of the police cars you have to use them in order to end the pursuit quickly.

4. Pursuit Time Challenge (220000 points)

This, on the other hand, is a fairly simple challenge, mostly because you will be trying to achieve other types of goals. You will have to maintain an active pursuit for at least 13 minutes. It shouldn't be much of a problem.

5. Photo Ticket (1360000 points)

If you've already gathered 10 million Bounty points you might want to consider skipping some of the usual challenges. Thanks to that, you'd have to accomplish three photo tickets and ONLY two other milestones. You shouldn't have any problems with the speed cameras, especially when you're driving a fully upgraded vehicle.

MAIN EVENT:

You were probably waiting for something interesting for the finish itself. Well, I hope I won't be disappointing you by telling that you will have to win FIVE different types of races. Just as before, you won't have an opportunity to get back to the garage while dealing with them. Otherwise, you would have to repeat all challenges. Some races are very difficult, however you should be able to deal with them after a couple of minutes of training.

1. Speedtrap - Warrent

This is a very difficult challenge, mostly because Razor's BMW (the same one he won from you at the beginning of the Career mode) is EXTREMELY fast. You will have to be very concentrated in order to score similar speeds. Furthermore, you should be waiting for him to make a mistake. Otherwise, it would be very difficult to win this challenge. The first camera will require you to drive at a MAXIMUM possible speed. Furthermore, be sure to use ALL of the remaining nitro. The same goes with the next checkpoints. You can't let Razor score too much MPH. Thankfully, there are some tight corners nearby. You should be able to take the lead here (#2), mostly because he will have some problems with scoring decent speeds near these checkpoints.

Be sure to keep a high speed, otherwise Razor might have taken the lead.

You shouldn't have any problems with this race, however you will have to be careful near several tricky spots. First of all, you will have to deal with a few fast corners. After reaching the motorway exit slow down a little, so you will be able to pass through a challenging right turn safely (#1). You will find yourself in an industrial district. You should know this area very well by now. I'm talking mostly about the surrounding shortcuts. Use the tunnel located beneath the lighthouse. Be sure to block Razor's car, because he will probably want to take the lead somewhere over here. A series of difficult corners awaits you (#2). Remember to use nitro frequently.

You shouldn't have any serious problems with the following corners. Slow down once you've reached a tight right turn (#1). You might also try cutting through this corner. I'd recommend using shortcut located on your left (#2). This will require you to break through a billboard. The final part of the race contains a lot of straight lines. You have to use nitro frequently.

You should consider using the left shortcut, located near the start line. It's important, because Razor would probably do the same thing. The next shortcut will be located on your right. Watch out for a tight corner (#1). Thankfully, you should be able to cut through it safely. You can't slow down too much, otherwise Razor would have taken the lead. Use the LEFT shortcut. Remember to slow down a little, so you won't hit anything once you're on the ground. There's a VERY LONG right corner located near the finish line (#2). Watch out for the pillars, though. You should be able to get past them without any problems. There's a fast left turn near the finish.

You've probably noticed that the pursuit automatically switched to the 6th level. This is a rare exception. Sadly, I must inform you that it'll mean a lot of trouble. First of all, you will have to deal with larger groups of police vehicles. You might try taking down some of the constructions along the way (#1). Avoid any roadblocks you might possibly encounter. After dealing with all of the surrounding cops try hiding in one of the visible hideouts. You should receive a text message from Mia (#2). She will inform you that the secret garages have been taken over by the police. You will have to escape the city in order to get rid off Cross and his forces.

CONGRATULATIONS - The End - Career - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

CONGRATULATIONS! You've just finished the Career mode. You will be rewarded with several new corners. Bear in mind that you will also be able to repeat some previous events.

"Need for Speed: Most Wanted" is a type of game that has absolutely NOTHING in common with a realistic car simulation. You might find some of its features rather unusual, especially if you were playing more complicated games in the past, similar to "Juiced" or "S.C.A.R.". In these products you had to concentrate most of your attention on a proper car handling. "Most Wanted", on the other hand, will require you to know the tracks. Furthermore, you will have to use shortcuts along the way. Otherwise you won't be able to win most of the challenges. I should also say that most of the presented cars have very similar handling. The same goes with their acceleration or the maximum speed. You will probably notice it near the end of the Career mode, where you will have an opportunity to buy all necessary parts. If you're lucky, you might even be able to win some of the toughest challenges in one of the older cars. The key is to have all of the performance upgrades installed, while the rest isn't that important.

Taking corners. Like I've said before, you will have to memorize the tracks and their shortcuts in order to win most of the challenges. Furthermore, you shouldn't forget about the possibility of using a map of the area. It's visible on your screen all the time. The map itself becomes very useful in the early stages of the career, while most of the tracks may surprise you in a few spots. You should remember about one thing, though. Not all of the shortcuts have been marked on the map. The same goes with some of the junctions. As for the corners, you should be able to pass through most of them only by getting your foot off the gas pedal. You won't even have to use your brakes. It's mostly because of the arcade car handling. Most of the vehicles act as if they were glued somehow to the track. You don't need to worry about getting involved in any crashes or spins. Use the brakes ONLY if the corner you're trying to take is VERY tight and narrow. You should avoid any contact with the surrounding barriers, because they might slow you down significantly. The other important factor has already been mentioned in the previous Chapter of this game guide. You should be able to cut through most of the corners. Remember that moving onto the surrounding grass WON'T slow you down in any way. The same goes with fast courves. It's best to keep a straight line, rather than trying to keep to the main road.

Performance tuning. You might want to think that this game doesn't allow you to make any modifications to your vehicle. Well, you're wrong. These options are available, however you won't even have to use them in order to secure victory. I can assure you that winning ALL of the challenges without messing in these options is POSSIBLE, however it won't hurt to take a closer look at them. In order to do that you will have to pause the race and choose the correct option from the game menu.

You will be presented with a list of possible modifications (up to seven) - The Basics: Car handling - Misc - Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will be presented with a list of possible modifications (up to seven). Their availability depends on the number of performance upgrades of your car, so don't worry if you won't have an opportunity to do something at the start of the Career mode. Steering bar will help you to modify how should the car respond to your actions. If you decide to increase this value you will be able to go through sharper turns more easily. You should be doing it at the start of each race. The only exception is when a track has a lot of straight lines. In that case you might consider decreasing the value. Handling bar allows you to manipulate cars abilities during corners. You can either decide that it will slide easily or drive in a more stable manner. I'd personally recommend the second option, especially since there are no Drift races in "Most Wanted". You'd only want this option active during that kind of races. The brake bar allows you to manipulate how the car should be stopped, however in my personal opinion this is completely useless. You don't have to be interested in this aspect of the performance tuning, because the differences would be minimal. Suspension bar allows to pick the height of your ride. Having the suspension lowered will certainly improve its handling, however you might have some problems during races with a lot of holes, bumps or typical shortcuts. The Aerodynamics bar allows you to manipulate between two different aspects - grip (recommended on tracks with a lot of sharp corners) and maximum speed (freeways or other races with a lot of straight lines). The answers are quite obvious, I think. The Nitro bar allows to you manipulate how powerful should this installation be. You can either choose a less powerful, but longer nitro or the opposite. I'd personally recommend having a "strong" nitro, because only then you will be able to outrun other cars or police vehicles. The turbocharger bar helps you to set when does the maximum torque should appear. It depends on when you need more power - on tracks filled with a lot of fast sections or those with a lot of difficult corners. You shouldn't have any problems with picking a most suitable setting. Remember than you can skip ANY of these modifications. The differences between possible values aren't that obvious, so you won't be able to achieve or lose too much by picking different settings.

Using shortcuts. This has always been one of the most important elements of the "NFS" game and it's certainly no different in "Most Wanted". Thankfully, you should be able to notice most of the shortcuts on your personal map. Furthermore, I've shown their locations in the first Chapter of this guide. I'd recommend using these spots during races. The shortcuts can be divided to two different groups. The first one includes small passages. You won't gain too much by choosing these paths, so you have to ask yourself a very important question - should I risk hitting one of the surrounding objects? You will only be able to extend the lead in a minimal way. The second group of shortcuts includes significantly longer and more complicated paths. talking of back alleys or jumps that will allow you to save up even a few additional seconds. In these cases I'd REALLY recommend taking the necessary risk. If you are able to pull it off you might gain a lot of precious seconds. I must warn you, though. At some point of the Career you will have to start using ALL visible shortcuts, because the opponents won't be making any mistakes. Furthermore, they will be using these paths in order to take the lead away from you.

Other drivers. Sadly, other drivers in "Most Wanted" doesn't know the rules of fair play. They will be cheating A LOT, especially when you're getting closer to the finish line. You have to be very careful in these kinds of situations. Even a smallest mistake might take the victory from you. Furthermore, you will have to repeat the race from the beginning. You can avoid most of these cheats during quick races by turning off the Catch-Up feature. Sadly, you won't be able to do the same thing in the Career mode. The most important thing is to observe your opponents. You have to be concentrated all the time, even if you have a rather comfortable lead. The other cars may catch up to within a matter of few seconds... even if you're driving with a maximum possible speed. You're probably wondering how to deal with these kinds of problems. First of all, you should be using shortcuts along the way. You can't afford making too much mistakes. Hitting one of the surrounding barriers is not welcome. You might also consider crashing into other cars, especially when taking sharp turns. Bear in mind that these manoeuvres are VERY risky. Finally, you may try pushing other cars to the surrounding objects.

Traffic. Thankfully, in most cases the traffic is not that thick as you might have probably suspected. As a result, you won't have to worry about this element of "Most Wanted" too much. Nonetheless, you can't ignore it. Crashing into other cars isn't something terrible. You'll lose some speed, but overall it's not that bad. The only exception are bigger trucks. You HAVE TO avoid them at all costs, because they will slow you down in a significant way. You should also remember that during some of the police chases.

Other objects. You will be encountering all kinds of objects during the Career mode. Thankfully, you should be able to destroy of push most of them. Furthermore, you should be doing this during some of the police chases, because that way you will be able to score some extra points (needed to complete additional milestones). You have to be careful, though. Some of the objects can't be moved in any way. I'm talking mostly about the trees surrounding some of the freeways. You will have to avoid them at all costs, especially while taking part in all sorts of races.

Speedbreaker & Nitro. Both of these options are worth looking that. In my personal opinion nitro is by far one of the most useful elements of this game. You will be using during most of the races and police pursuits. Remember that the nitro can regenerate, especially when you're in the lead. It should motivate you to leave the rest of the pack behind. Thanks to that, you will be able to escape them after a tougher corner or an unexpected mistake. There are few types of Nitro installations in the game. Some of them will be unlocked later in the Career mode. I'd recommend buying them as soon as it is possible. The second element is the Speedbreaker feature. Bear in mind that it lasts only for a few seconds. Furthermore, the Speedbreaker regenerates a lot longer than the usual Nitro. You should be using it near some very difficult corners and during police chases.

Types of races:

Circuit - This is one of the most typical types of races. You will have to complete a few laps (2-4 in most cases) in order to finish this challenge. Unlike most of the other races you won't have to be focused all the time. The most important is the last lap. It happens mostly because AI is cheating a lot. I was telling you this before. Nonetheless, I'd recommend spending earlier laps on exploration. You will have to memorize shortcuts and more difficult corners. You should also know when to expect some kind of attacks from the other drivers. If you're lucky, you probably won't have to repeat these challenges, because in most cases they're very simple.

Lap Knockout - Lap Knockouts are much harder. The rules of these type of challenges are very simple, though. At the end of each lap the last driver is being eliminated from the race. Unlike previously mentioned Circuits, you have to be focused all the time. Thankfully, most of the Lap Knockouts take place in known locations, so you don't have to memorize anything else. Remember to use shortcuts in order to extend the lead. This is very important, because if you make some kind of mistake you can't end up behind other cars.

Sprint - You should know these type of challenges very well. The objective is simple. You've got to be the first driver to reach the finish line. There aren't any laps. I have to inform you that most of the Sprint races aren't that long (3-4 minutes). You have to be focused all the time and especially while getting closer to the finish line, because the opponents may try taking away the lead from you there. You can't afford making any major mistakes. You will also have to use shortcuts along the way.

Drag - You will probably remember these types of races from the "NFS: Underground" series, however I must inform you that the rules have changed a little since the last time. In the previous games you had to concentrate most of your attention on gear changing or activating nitro. In "Most Wanted" you will have to deal with some thick traffic. Changing gears is less important. Furthermore, in some of the Drag races you won't even have to use Nitro! Instead, I'd recommend activating the Speedbreaker feature from time to time. Thanks to that, you should be able to avoid most of the vehicles, even while moving at higher speeds.

Speedtrap - This is a completely new type of challenge. It's connected to the presence of speed cameras. You should know them from some of the milestones challenges. The rules aren't that complicated as you might have probably suspected. You will have to score high speeds near visible checkpoints (speed cameras). You should probably know by now that you won't have to be the first driver to reach the finish line in order to win this type of challenge, however it won't hurt anyone to leave the other drivers behind. In the earlier stages of the Career speed cameras are located mostly near long stretches, however later in the game they will begin to appear in the middle of very difficult corners. You have to be ready for that.

Tollbooth - That's also a completely new type of challenge. Thankfully, you shouldn't be worried about it too much, because ALL of the Tollbooth challenges are VERY EASY. I'd recommend taking them down before taking down any other types of races. The objectives are rather obvious. You will have to reach a checkpoint within a designated time. Once you've done that the time limit is being exceeded. I must inform you than in most cases you should be able to finish these challenges much earlier than expected... that is, if you don't make any major mistakes along the way.

Police pursuits:

Police pursuits are consider to be one of the most important elements of "Most Wanted". Furthermore, there are many types of chases. Some of them are very easy, while the others will require you to do some incredible stunts. One of the key factors connected to this aspect of the game is level of a police pursuit. This element has some major influence on many other things. In most cases the pursuit starts on a first level. It means that you will be avoiding only a few of the slowest police vehicles. Furthermore, cops won't even try hitting you. Instead, they will only take part in a high speed chase. You don't have to worry about their actions at all. Even if you hit something along the way you will be able to get back to the main road without any problems. Furthermore, you should be able to outrun police vehicles quite easily. You might also consider hitting them. It's not that hard as you might have probably suspected. Damaged police vehicles will probably stop the pursuit. You will be informed by the level of their damages. You will only have to take a look at the intensity of the smoke coming from the engine. Furthermore, damaged squad cars are significantly slower.

Sadly, I must inform you that the first level of a pursuit doesn't last too long... mostly 15-30 seconds. Getting to a higher lever depends on a few things. If you want to advance quickly you should try taking risky manoeuvres, hitting other cars or damaging police vehicles. You will be informed about the current progress of the pursuit. As you might have probably suspected, advancing to a higher lever of a pursuit will only mean more trouble. Sadly, you can't stay on the first level, because you won't be able to accomplish any of the milestone challenges. Now for the changes... first of all, slow police vehicles will be replaced with much faster cars. Losing them will require some thinking. Furthermore, the police vehicles will try to ram you off the road. You have to avoid their attacks. Remember that you can only be caught when forced to a complete stop. Furthermore, you will have to stay that way for at least a couple of seconds. It mostly happens when you're being surrounded by a larger groups of squad cars. You will also be encountering some roadblocks along the way. This is a VERY important aspect of this game. You shouldn't be escaping from roadblocks by going the other way. Instead, you must break through them or avoid them (use the nearby grass). Roadblocks are being set only when moving at a straight line and staying on a road for at least a couple of seconds. You shouldn't be changing directions too often. Roadblocks can be "neutralized" in two different ways. The more obvious solution requires you to use the nearby grass in order to pass through safely. Sadly, in some cases it's not possible to do that, mostly while moving in narrow alleys. Like I've said many times before, you should stay close to freeways all the time. Remember that even if you're using the grass you will be able to score a point for a successful action. The second method will require you to break through a roadblock. It's very dangerous, although if you have a powerful car you shouldn't be caught by doing this. Remember to aim at the trunk of the vehicles, because their engines are much heavier. If hitting a roadblock stopped your vehicle change to reverse IMMEDIATELY, so you won't be blocked by any of the surrounding cars.

The third level of pursuit means only some mild changes. You will be encountering more roadblocks. Bear in mind that they will be heavier defended, so you've got to be very careful. Furthermore, police vehicles will be replaced with professional sports cars. Outrunning those may be a problem. The police forces will be trying to get you off the main road by using any means necessary. You should also know that you may be attacked by police SUV's. Unlike any other vehicles, they will appear in random locations. The police SUV's will be driving at very high speeds. Their main goal is to hit your car, so you HAVE TO avoid them at all costs. The best way to do that is to activate the Speedbreaker feature. Thanks to that, you should have enough time to plan your next movements. You should also know that SUV's may appear near some of the roadblocks. You should try avoiding them. DON'T even try breaking through them, because you won't be able to... even if you have a very powerful car.

The fourth level of a pursuit equals to SERIOUS trouble. The police forces will do their best to stop your vehicle. First of all, you will have to remember about the possibility of encountering spike strips. They will be replacing most of the usual roadblocks. The rules haven't changed since the last time, HOWEVER you will have to remember about some things while planning next movements. Having contact with one of the spikes will result in an immediate failure, mostly because your vehicle won't be able to move fast enough to outrun any of the police vehicles. I'd recommend using the Speedbreaker a lot. Thanks to that, you should be able to avoid these kinds of roadblocks without any major problems. DON'T even try hitting them, because you might end up near one of the spikes. Fourth level will also mean faster police vehicles and more SUV's. Remember that you will have to avoid them at all costs. Finally, you will have to deal with the presence of a police chopper. He will inform cops about your current movements. Thankfully, the chopper won't attack you in any way. Furthermore, you will be able to avoid it by hiding in one of the covered spots (hideouts, buildings...). Otherwise, you would have some serious problems losing it.

The fifth level is the highest one. The only exceptions include two final pursuits. One of them ends the Career mode. This time you will have to deal with Sergeant Cross and his men. Police officers are driving very powerful Chevy's. Outrunning these vehicles is almost impossible. You will have to destroy them or use the huge constructions to slow them down. You will also have to be VERY lucky at some points of the chase... Well, good luck then! ;-)

It would be a good idea to tell you more about other elements connected with the police pursuits. One of the most important things involves the presence of huge constructions on the map. You will have to use them to your advantage, mostly to lose the current pursuit. I have to warn you, though. They aren't that effective on higher pursuit levels. In that case, you shouldn't be concentrating all of your efforts on reaching these spots. Reinforcements are also very important. You've probably noticed that the game shows you how many police vehicles are taking part in the chase. Once you've eliminated most of them you WILL HAVE TO WAIT for the new cars. The game will present you with a correct time for the reinforcements to arrive. You can't lose the current pursuit, because new units wouldn't appear at that time. I'd personally recommend staying on freeways and concentrating on the drive itself. You should be able to maintain a pursuit without eliminating the rest of the police forces. In order to end the pursuit you will have to lose all police vehicles. You might want to head on to one of the nearest hideouts. They should be visible on your map once you've taken care of the chase. This is not necessary. You might look for some other areas, however there's a high probability of being spotted by the cops. I'd also recommend listening to the radio chatter. You will be informed about the current progress of the pursuit.

I've already said earlier that tuning options in "Most Wanted" aren't too complicated. The game is less "demanding" than the products from the "Underground" series, HOWEVER you mustn't forget about buying new performance upgrades. Otherwise you would have some serious problems with most of the challenges. Thankfully, you won't have to buy every possible upgrade, especially at the beginning of the Career mode. Better parts will be unlocked after beating drivers from the Black List. Performance upgrades are the most important elements of the vehicle tuning. Here's what you can buy:

Engine: Bear in mind that the list of the unlocked packages depends on how many drivers you were able to defeat. You should also know that some cars will only allow you to choose between two sets of parts (not three). I'd personally recommend avoiding any contact with these type of vehicles, because you'd have some serious problems with the early challenges. These type of modifications affect acceleration and top speed.

Gearbox: Gearbox modifications affect two bars. You will be able to notice a slight increase in acceleration, however the more important factor is the top speed. As a result, you should be interested in these packages if you have one of the slower cars.

Suspension: The answer is a rather obvious one, at least in this case. You will be able handling abilities of the current vehicle. Furthermore, the most expensive suspension upgrades will also allow a minimal increase in acceleration and top speed.

Nitro: You should already know something about these kind of parts, especially from the previous Chapter of this game guide. You will be able to choose between several different types of instalations. Buying Nitro upgrades will affect your acceleration, however you will also be able to increase an overall top speed.

Tires: The results will be similar to the Suspension upgrades. Buying better tires will affect your handling. Furthermore, you will be able to notice a very high increase of this value. As a result, you should buy new tire sets as soon as possible.

Brakes: I think it's rather obvious that this modification will affect your handling abilities. While the increase seems to be very slight, you should notice the difference during the race itself. There are many challenging corners in the game. You should have the best possible brake sets in order to decrease a possibility of hitting the nearby walls.

Turbocharger: You should know what to expect from these kinds of parts, especially when you've taken a closer look at the Performance Tuning window. As for the bars, you will notice a slight increase in acceleration and top speed.

Two other windows aren't that important. You will have an opportunity to improve the visuals of your current car. The first group contains full body-kits. The list of possible upgrades depends on the chosen car. Some vehicles have only 2-3 body-kits, while the others may be rewarded with 4 or even 5 different packages. You will also have an opportunity to buy other groups of parts - rear spoilers, new rims or the improved hoods. Bear in mind that new parts will be unlocked after taking down drivers from the Black List. Third menu will allow you to paint your vehicle or its rims (there are three types of paint available), buy additional vinyls (also unique ones), apply window tint or acquire sport gauges.

Cars from the Career mode

This chapter has been divided into two different sections. First of all, you will have an opportunity to take a closer look at the available cars. There are more vehicles in the game, however I've concentrated only on those models which you will be able to unlock in the Career mode. The rest serves as a reward, so you shouldn't be interested in them at this time. You will find detailed descriptions of each of the cars in the first Chapter of this game guide. The second section tells more about car tuning, both visual as well as strictly mechanical.
