Game Review
Electric Box is a little gem made by Candystand. It's a new, creative puzzle game with a simple premise; the goal is to transfer the flow of electricity from the "ON" switch to the target using a vast array of different energy conductors and transferal devices. The puzzles are layed out on a grid, and all the objects (from steam machines to magnets to lasers) can be placed anywhere and tap on it to switch direction in some cases. For instance, to bridge the gap between the source and the target in the first level you need to place a light bulb on the wire coming off the source, and solar panel on the wire coming from the target. The difficulty of the game rapidly ramps up, and pretty soon you need to be managing different solar, laser, steam, and wind power transmitters and receivers.
Interesting combinations are introduced to keep you thinking. Player must position a variety of objects in a pattern that will allow electricity to travel from the starting point to the destination. Electricity reacts differently to each object, so the player will have to think creatively in order to determine the best position to place each one. The game does not contain any inappropriate material, suitable for school kids to play.
I personally enjoy some of the harder puzzle especially the last two levels presented in the game, which has left me stumped for quite some time before I figured out how it all goes together. I actually had to think in steps before having some massive epiphany but you'll defintely gain a huge feeling of satisfaction and feel smart! The game goes for a very simple, clean interface so you know what is what, and can worry about solving the puzzle. This flash game does something for me that I just don't get out of many games. Try it now!
