Game Review
This is one of the most beautiful games I have played this week and I applaud the game for the simple creativity. Ghostly Me is a simple action platformer by Ppllaayy Games, the creator of Nuclear Plant series. See, you are a small and innocent-looking ghost in a huge world of the abstract. A very abstract environment, even your shadow is always gliding behind you.
Follow him to investigate the incredible hypnotic world. On the every level, you are supposed to find a mysterious portal somewhere, which will then take you to the next level. Falling into the vividly colored water or touching any formations made of rotating little squares, you die. They are always placed in your way but you have a trick up your sleeve and that's to "slow down time" effect, which lasts as long as you hold down the single keystroke. Dodge any incoming projectiles and form a white pixel trail behind you. You can use the white pixel trail to your advantage and remove any colored pixel formations just by intercepting them deliberately. This may sound a little tricky but you will get it after playing it.
In my conclusion, I find this flash game pretty, simple and playable. The feeling of "abstraction" was done well with both graphics and monologues. Gameplay wise... I personally don't care about my score after failing badly at some levels; I think a lot will feel the same way too because my final score was -1173. Pretty fun action platformer all in all. ^^
