Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5)

One of the new features in Grand Theft Auto 5 is the ability to play with the stock market.

There is a lot of money to be had, but it’s hard to see how it works at first.

My initial reaction was.. ok, I’m going to buy some stocks that are on a downward trend and wait for them to rise.

So I waited, and waited, and waited.. with no action.

After I got discouraged, I just simply used the stocks in the BAWSAQ as savings accounts so that I wasn’t losing tons of cash when I died.

Shortly after this, I figured out how you really make a ton of cash on the Grand Theft Auto 5 stock market.

**Quick Tip** I would suggest waiting to do this until you’ve completed the main story missions. I don’t want to give anything away, but lets just say you end up with a lot more money to invest in this strategy.

How to Make Lots of Money on the GTA 5 Stock Market

A little while after the diamond heist mission with Lester, you’ll start to open up Assassination missions with him.

Lester will have a company targeted that he wants to harm, and he’ll give you a tip to which stock will go up because of it.

In order to fully maximize your profits, save your game before any of these Assassination missions. Start the mission to see which stock will be going up (he tells you during the start of each mission), then load up your saved game.

Go to each of the three characters and put every dime you have into this stock.

Now go back to the character with the Assassination mission and complete it. Go check out your portfolio, and you’ll watch the stock price rise about every minute.

You have to be patient here, don’t sell too early or you’ll lose out on a good amount of money.

Once you see the stock price flatten out (no change after several minutes) , go to each character and sell all of your assets in the stock.

If you want to make even more money, take the money you made and reinvest in the stock that you took down, because it should be bottoming out at this point. This one takes quite a bit longer to see gains, but after about an hour of real time playing (not in game hours), the stock should be back where it started, and you’ll make a ton of money off of it. Do NOT do this with LifeInvader however, this stock never seems to go back up.

After all of this, make sure to reinvest your money in some of the more stable BAWSAQ stocks so you don’t lose it when you die. I personally like the Daily Globe stock (DGP) because it doesn’t seem to fluctuate much.
