In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, just like in the previous games, there is a plethora of exploits you can use for easy skill points and fast leveling. Leveling is even easier than it was previously, since you level from any skill increases, not just specific skills based on your chosen class.
Now remember to mix these tricks in with your playing, otherwise you can end up with a high level character that can’t hit for much or take much damage.
Any time you spend money on a skill trainer, the money they take from you goes directly into their inventory. Guess what that means? That’s right, it can be pickpocketed back.
This is really a double wammy, since you’re getting free points and skilling up pickpocketing at the same time. This trick will also help you supplement those harder to get points like weapon skills, armor skills, block, etc.
This only works effectively up to 51 points in the skill you’re purchasing, since after that there is an extra 1000 gold cost that can’t be recovered.
Make sure to save your game before your pickpocketing attempts so you don’t end up going to jail.
Every major city has an armory with a forge near by. Buy up all of the Iron Ingot, Leather, and Leather Strips that they have. Go to the forge and create as many Iron Daggers and Leather Bracers as you can, since they require the least amount of materials. Sell these back to recover some of your costs, and repeat. You’ll also be gaining quite a few speech skill points with all of the buying and trading you’re doing.
Also, make sure to keep any pelts you gain in your adventures, since these can be made into leathers. Also buy or mine Iron Ore so you can smelt your own Iron Ingots for cheap.
If you’re a sneaky type, then this one is for you. Muffle is an Illusion based magic, and it’s fairly expensive magicka wise, so every time you cast it up until the low 20’s it will give you a skill point in Illusion. Find a populated area, like a pub, and place yourself in the corner sneaking and casting Muffle every chance you get. You have to move to get Sneak points, so just walk into the corner and keep pressing up to walk into the wall. When you’re out adventuring, keep Muffle equipped so you can cast it and gain those points instead of wasting your capped out magicka.
I’ll be adding more later. If you have any good tips, please feel free to leave them in the comments and I’ll check them out and post them if they’re good.
