How to Get the Premiere Club in Borderlands 2

Those of you that pre-ordered your copy of Borderlands 2 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 should have received either a redeemable code in your game box, or on your store receipt.

This code gives you access to the Premiere Club DLC, which has some decent starter weapons (which get replaced fairly quickly), but most importantly, access to a golden key which unlocks the golden chest in Sanctuary, giving you two rare (purple) random weapons, items, or mods.

If you didn’t pre-order the game, then I’m sorry to tell you that you are out of luck, because you can’t currently purchase the Premiere Club DLC, but don’t fret, because I may have a way for you to get the rare items you want.

Go to the extras menu and sign up for the Gearbox Shift program, which will give you a free golden key.

Note: Don’t go using it just yet though. Before you use it, check out my article on how to use your golden key indefinitely so it never goes away.

Sounds good right? This will essentially give you unlimited access to rare weapons, mods, and items for as long as you want.
