DMC Devil May Cry: How to Unlock Difficulties

There are four difficulties (aka game modes) to unlock in DMC: Devil May Cry, if you’re looking for more of a challenge.

Here are the difficulties you can unlock, and how to unlock them.

Dante Must Die! Difficulty – Complete the game on the Son of Sparda difficulty. In this mode, more enemies spawn, more waves of enemies spawn, and enemies have more health and deal greater damage.
Heaven or Hell Difficulty – Complete the game on the Son of Sparda difficulty. In this mode, it is the same as the Son Of Sparda difficulty, except Dante and enemies die in one hit.
Hell and Hell Difficulty – Complete the game on the Heaven or Hell difficulty. In this mode, Dante will die in one hit, while enemies spawn with full health at the Son Of Sparda difficulty.
Son of Sparda Difficulty – Complete the game on any difficulty. In this mode, tougher enemies appear earlier in the game, and enemies have new attacks.

At least one of these unlocks a costume for you to use in the game.
