Hidden Unlockable Weapons in Saints Row 4

There are several “hidden” weapons that you can find and/or unlock in Saints Row 4 on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Some are pretty bad ass once you fully upgrade them.. *cough* Dubstep Gun.. others are just funny.

Here are the hidden weapons you can unlock, and how to unlock them.

How to Unlock the Dubstep Gun in Saints Row 4

The Dubstep Gun is one of the more interesting weapons in the game that blasts out Skrillex type beats (plus explosions of course) to destroy your enemies with.

The Dubstep Gun is available fairly early in the game once you complete a side quest named “Campaign Trail of Destruction.” This side quest should come available through Keith David around the time that you’re doing the main story quest called “Breaking The Law.”

The Campaign Trail of Destruction includes a Blazin challenge, a Mayhem challenge, and a Clear Zin Troops challenge.

Once you complete the Campaign Trail of Destruction, talk to Keith David again and you’ll unlock the Dubstep Gun into your arsenal. Visit any weapon store to access it.

How to Unlock the Loud Locust in Saints Row 4

In the game, there is an easter egg location that has a special area to shoot at the developers faces, and to pick up a special gun called the Loud Locust (aka Tiny Pistol). This weapon is similar to the Noisy Cricket from the Men in Black movie.

Locate the Let’s Pretend store at the bottom left corner of the map, and shoot at the Employees Only door in the back of the store until it opens.

Once inside, look around for a colorful shooting gallery, and you’ll notice the developers faces on them. Shoot them mercilessly!!

Also, look for a chair nearby to find the Loud Locust gun. It may look small, but looks can be deceiving, because this gun has a nasty kick to it.

How to Unlock the Penetrator in Saints Row 4

What would a Saints Row game be without a giant Dildo Bat? Naturally The Penetrator makes its return as a hidden weapon in this edition as well.

The Penetrator can be found pretty early in the game. After the main story mission #4 titled “The Fundamentals”, you’ll be able to find the fabled Dildo Bat in a cave on the east shore in Brickston.

If you need help finding the cave, head to the east side of Brickston, and look for the highway that heads east across the river. Facing the entry to the highway, go to the left and you’ll see a cliff area. Drop down off the cliff slowly and you should land inside of a hidden cave where you’ll find the Penetrator, it all of its infinite glory!!
