CDV Software Entertainment USA has announced that the demo for Divinity II — Ego Draconis is now available in North America for both Xbox Live and the PC. Divinity II is the sequel to the isometric RPG game, Divine Divinity, which was developed by Larian Studios and was released way back in 2002 for the PC. The Divinity series now makes the leap to action RPG and is promising more than 60 hours of gameplay.
Your character is a Dragon Slayer with a rather ironic curse: the ability to change into a dragon. That’s right Lair fans (all two of you), Divinity II provides you with the opportunity to be a dragon, rather than just ride one. According to CDV Software, you’ll get to check out the following features in the demo:
The Divinity II — Ego Draconis demo give players an early peek at groundbreaking features rarely seen in an action RPG, like Mindreading, a robust classless Skill Tree and upgrade system, and even a harrowing encounter with a dragon! This several-hour demo offers plenty of combat, exploration and questing for players to get a glimpse of the adventure and intrigue that awaits them in Divinity II — Ego Draconis.
Like most titles nowadays, gamers will receive free exclusive content if they pre-order Divinity II for the Xbox 360 from GameStop. Specifically, the Blood Echelon Armor and Weapon Set will be yours – for whatever that’s worth.
Make sure you check out the demo first to see if Divinity II appeals to you, since the title has received mixed reviews overseas.
Divinity II – Eco Draconis is set to release for both the Xbox 360 and PC on January 5, 2010.
