SingStar Queen review

Here’s a quick heads-up: you only think you know all the words to Killer Queen. In reality, you don’t. But fear not, Freddie fans, as there are another 24 tunes to strut and punch the air by.

We’re torn though. On the one hand this is great and warbling through Under Pressure with a mate is as beautiful as SingStar gets. But on the other, this is simply a repackaged SingStar with zero originality. We want exclusive wallpapers, themes or unblemished music videos (you know, like the one where Freddie’s dressed as a lady? No? Just us then) to justify our spending.

If you’re looking to bolster your post-pub tracklist then you can’t go wrong with this. Old favourites like We Are The Champions won’t fail to get people involved and there’s niche tracks for the hardcore fans sporting Brian May hairstyles too. Queen were always a shoo-in for a SingStar spin-off but Sony’s One Vision of milking this cash cow is wearing thin.
