One Easy Tweak for Laptops with Poorly-Placed Power Buttons

Does your laptop come with a Power button that looks like a regular key? For example, do you confuse it with the Delete key that usually occupies the top right position on most laptops? Try this simple tweak to get around it.

Open Control Panel and search for “power” in the search box at the top right. In the results that pop up, under the Power Options section, click on Change what the power buttons do.

In the next screen, look for When I press the power button, and select Do Nothing in both of the dropdown menus next to that option. Finalize the tweak by hitting Save Changes. Now, even if you accidentally press the Power button, your laptop won’t shut down or go into hibernation. Problem solved!
