We live in a world where game developers are constantly trying to rekindle the fun offered by side-scrolling games from the NES era. Even Nintendo itself has put out Mario Maker, a game where players can build their own Mario levels that play quite a bit like they did in the old days.
Researchers from ETH Zurich are taking the desire to bring 8-bit games into the modern era to a whole new level by making the games playable as a cooperative experience in a 360-degree room. It’s really something else!
