Rovio, the makers of the popular Angry Birds game series, have been taking everyone’s favourite feathered friends in some new directions lately. Late last year, we saw them zoom in a racing game with Angry Birds Go! And now the birds are going to take on the world of role-playing games in the new Angry Birds Epic.
The game is basically a turn-based RPG (role-playing game), and carries on the battle between the birds and the pigs. It includes elements that are common to most RPGs, such as playing different character classes like knights, wizards and more, all of whom can unleash special attacks and work together as a team to defeat the enemy.
There are already some amazing role-playing games on Android, and our best iPhone games page has an entire section dedicated to RPGs, so you can find more stuff there while you wait for Rovio to launch Angry Birds Epic for your device.
Rovio has soft launched the game at the moment, which is to figure out any bugs and get feedback from real-world users. To do this, the game has only been made available on iOS in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. But very soon, Angry Birds Epic will be hitting iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices across the world. Right now, though, if you’re not on iOS and not in those countries, you can only look at them jealously!
