What are the 7 Lottery Lies?

The subject of the lottery is a breeding place for lies. Lies that range from twisted truths to whoppers. So, I've written the Lotto Lie series to help clear the air, so to speak.

The first lottery lie is the classical skeptic's comment.

Lotto Falsehood #1 - There is nothing you can do to increase your chances of winning the lottery.

In the lottery lie #1 article, I tackle the skeptics head on. There is nothing a skeptic hates more than reason, logic and facts.

It will probably have little effect on them, but you will probably enjoy watching them squirm as I lay out my case.

The first lottery lie is actually quite naivewhen you think about it. Like so many other games, like Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Texas Holdem, the lottery is a game of chance. And, like all games of chance, the professional player has a distinct advantage over the novice; he knows how to play the game. If you agree with this, you should enjoy the lottery lie #1 article.

The second lottery lie article focuses on the word 'Random'. The word 'Random' is so misused, abused and misunderstood that I classify it as a lottery secret. So, read the lottery lie #2 article and all will be revealed.

Lotto Falsehood Number Two - The lottery is a random game of chance.

Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Texas Holdem have all been referred to as random games of chance. So, why is it that professional gamblers do quite well at these games? Could it be they know something we don't? If this is true, why should thelottery be any different? It isn't. Read the lottery lie #2 article and discover why professional gamblers see the words, 'random game of chance', as an opportunity.

The lottery lie #3 article dispels the myth that the lottery is a fair game. At first, you might just accept the statement and move on. But, if you stop and think about it a second, many questions come to mind like 'Says who?' and 'Why'. In fact, when you begin to see just how many winning lottery strategies there are, you will see the game isn't fair at all.

Lotto Falsehood Number Three - The Lottery is a fair game. The chances of winning the Lotto are the same for everyone.

Of course, the state lottery officials must say it's a fair game just as the casino operator must say the Blackjack tables are fair. But, you know that this simply isn't true. Would you think it was fair if Doyle Brunson sat down at your Texas Holdem table? Although, it would be fun, you know where your money is going to end up. The lottery lie #3 article is a real eye opener.

The lottery lie #4 article addresses another common myth about the lottery: A computer cant help improve your chances of winning thelottery . Well, you guessed it. Another lie bites the dust.

Lotto Falsehood Four - A computer can't increase your chances of winning the Lottery Jackpot.

I hear this one a lot. It amazes me that otherwise intelligent people would make such an inane statement. Think about it. Is there anything in our lives today that the computer hasn't helped? Man has created the internet, the cell phone, sent robots to Mars, unraveled the genetic codes but can't help improve your lottery play! You're going to really enjoy the lottery lie #4 article.

In the same vein, there are skeptics that say, using a computer for lottery number analysis is a waste of time. Of course, they've never tried but are convinced that they are experts on the subject. If they had taken the time to look, they would be shocked to find lottery trends and patterns at every turn. They are everywhere like agates on a beach. This brings us to lottery lie #5.

Lotto Falsehood #5 - Lottery trends do not exist.

Did you know that there are people who possess a unique ability to look at a lotterys winning number history and see lottery number patterns and trends? They are few and far between and, I admit, I dont have a clue how they do it. Just thinking about it makes me start looking for a bottle of Motrin. But, give me a computer and I'll find trends and patterns all day long. The lottery lie #5 article will get your juices flowing.

Did you ever have to deal with some holier than thou, sanctimonious self proclaimed example of human purity, looking down their nose at you because you are in desperate need of redemption. Well, I have some fun with the anointed among us in the lottery lie #6 article. I'm sure they won't see it that way, since their heads are so far up in the clouds it's a wonder they can even breathe. If you've ever met someone like this, you will take great pleasure in reading the lottery lie #6 article.

Lotto Falsehood #6 - The lottery is gambling and I don't gamble.

So, it's gambling. So, what? It's fun, exciting and easy to play and, if played responsibly, it's inexpensive and not going to cause financial harm to anyone playing. So, what are you waiting for? Start up the bubble machine and let's have a drawing.

Now, if someone, due to some heartfelt religious belief, doesn't gamble, I'm fine with that and even respect their decision. But, when a hypocrite assumes he is somehow superior and tries to lay claim to some moral high ground, then I calm down and write something like lottery lie #6 just for them. I hope you enjoy the lottery lie #6 article as much as I enjoyed writing it.

There seems to be no shortage of skeptics and critics who enjoy expressing their disdain at the use of lottery software to increase a players chances of winning the lottery. They essentially believe it's all nonsense. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, from the analysis of the histories of winning numbers from every lottery, the skeptics and critics fall back on what they think is their trump card. Using lottery software is cheating. That's lottery lie #7; the subject of the final article in the lottery lies series.

Lotto Falsehood Number Seven - Using lottery software is dishonest.

It's an absolute certainty that using quality lottery software can increase a serious player's chances of winning the lottery. But, that would hardly be called cheating. Predicting and forecasting the future has become part and parcel of business and industry today. All professional players prepare for a game.
