The Legend Of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Guide - How To Make New Costumes

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is all about teamwork, but the core element of the game that works in tandem with that is the costume system. At the very beginning of the game, you will start with an incredibly weak costume that you will get rid of right away in favor of the basic Hero’s Tunic.

Beyond that, there are so many costumes available in the game for you to get made through the collecting of certain items and often paying a fee on top of that.

For the most part, these are pretty straight forward, but to make it easier for you in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, we thought we’d put them together in a guide for you as well.

The key to building new costumes comes from either the items obtained at the end of each area or from purchasing them in the main town. The selection in town somewhat varies, so you may have to check back every day or so to find what you’re looking for.

Most costumes also have a special ability as well, which may make it more worth your while to unlock first, so we’ll include that info as well. Without further ado, here are the list of unlockable costumes in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.

Hero’s Tunic

• Items required: 1x Hytopian Silk
• Cost: 0 Rupees

Kokiri Clothes

• Items required: 1x Blob Jelly, 1x Armos Spirit
• Cost: 100 Rupees
• Special Ability: Can fire three arrows at a time

Legendary Dress

• Items required: 1x Tektite Shell, 1x Sweet Shroom
• Cost: 200 Rupees
• Special Ability: Increase heart drop rate

Lucky Loungeware

• Item’s required: 1x Sweet Shroom, 1x Blin Bling, 1x Gohma’s Eye
• Cost: 200 Rupees
  
• Special Ability: Decreases chance of taking damage
  

Big Bomb Outfit

• Item’s required: 1x Armos Spirit, 1x Tektite Shell
• Cost: 100 rupees
  
• Special Ability: Makes bombs larger and more destructive with more range

Zora Costume

• Item’s required: 1x Fresh Kelp, 1x Zora Scale
• Cost: 400 Rupees
• Special Ability: Can swim faster and through stronger currents

Torrent Robe

• Special Ability: Can walk through fire and on lava without being hurt

• Special Ability: Increase energy gauge of you and teammates by 50%
  

Sword Suit

• Item’s required: 1x Stiff Puff, 1x Silver Thread, 1x Royal Ring
  
• Cost: 1000 Rupees
  
• Special Ability: Sword will deal double the damage and shoot sword beams when at full health.
  

Rupee Regalia

• Special Ability: Double rupees are dropped while also seeing the drop rate of them increase as well.

• Special Ability: Get three extra heart containers.
  

Cheetah Costume

Tri Suit

• Item’s required: 5x Friendly Token
• Cost: 300 Tokens
  
• Special Ability: In multiplayer only, if all three Links are wearing this costume, you will deal more damage, find more hearts, and dodge more attacks.
  

Cursed Tights

• How to obtain: Speak with Princess Shyla after completing the game
• Special Ability: Dodge attacks 50% of the time, but take double the damage.
