Rise Of The Tomb Raider Guide: Defeating The Flamethrower Enemy

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider is all about exploration, but there are a good number of skirmishes found throughout as well. Most of these involve enemies that can be taken out in pretty typical fashion, but there is one that you will come across that could cause much more trouble, the Flamethrower enemy.

This guy can almost be considered a mini-boss in Rise of the Tomb Raider, but he’s not incredibly hard once you know how to defeat him. He shows up when Trinity is attacking the village, but you’ll certainly know him when you see him as he is part of the main story.

Starting off, you will find yourself in a smoky circle area that is completely surrounded by fire. This means that you cannot just run away, but rather must navigate within this small area as the enemy is trying to burn you alive.

To start off, you must almost always be moving in this match, or you will quickly become burnt to a crisp. You can technically hide behind the boxes around, but as you know, boxes don’t exactly stand up well to fire.

Rush around the outside area while circling the flamethrower enemy and when you seem to be lined up somewhat well with his backside, likely due to him slowing down from shooting the flamethrower, use one of your weapons to try and puncture the canisters on his back, which are part of his flamethrower.

This may take a few tries, but keep doing this and eventually you will win the fight against this mini-boss in Rise of the Tomb Raider.
