Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Medicinal Plants Locations Guide

Do you need new weapons and items? No problem, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain offers you a plethora of medicinal plants that will help you being successful in your campaign for survival. There are eight kinds of plants spread all over the world of The Phantom Pain, and some of them will only be available in specific parts of the map – for example, in Afghanistan and Angola.

AFGHANISTAN

BLACK CARROT

This is necessary for the bait bottle. You can find the Black Carrot, with white flowers growing in clusters, in both Afghanistan and Angola.

GOLDEN CRESCENT

With large blue flowers, the Golden Crescent will strengthen you tranquilizer rounds. You will find it only in Afghanistan, anyway.

TARRAGON

Tarragon is really helpful in making performance enhancing drugs like Penta Zemin and acceleramin. You will find it only in Afghanistan, and recognize it by the thin leaves and yellow flowers.

HAOMA

Like a shrub with miniature red and yellow flowers, Haoma grows on sand in Afghanistan and is good for both noctocyanin and acceleramin (concentration drugs).

ANGOLA

AFRICAN PEACH

African Peach is located exclusively in Angola, where you will recognize it by the big, red, round flowers. It’s good for sleeping gas.

DIGITALIS PURPUREA

Digitalis Purpurea is great for making tranquilizer rounds more powerful and sleeping gas mines. You will find it only in Angola, with its light purple, bell-shaped flowers.

DIGITALIS LUTEA

The only aesthetical difference with Digitalis Purpurea is the color of flowers (yellow). Digitalis Lutea is good for making tranquilizer darts, develop and use sleeping gas grenades. 

BOTH

WORMWOOD

A plant with tiny yellow blossoms, Wormwood is required for using the Phantom Cigar. You can find it both in Afghanistan and Angola.
