How To Unlock The Legend Achievement In Halo: The Master Chief Collection

The "Legend" achievement is perhaps the biggest reward for Halo players who own The Master Chief Collection. It is given to those players who complete all the missions in all the games included in the collection at the difficulty level "Legendary". Now that Halo 5: Guardians is about to release it is even more important because it allows to unlock a great content for those who love multiplayer. Here's all that you need to know, then, if you want to unlock the "Legend" achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

WHAT YOU GET

If you unlock the "Legend" achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you get the Heloskrill armor in Halo 5: Guardians. Below is a pic of it. This is a multiplayer skin you will need if you want to show how much passion and how much a dedicated Halo fan you are, so you're not willing to cease upon this.

WHAT YOU NEED

In order to unlock the achievement, you will need to complete all the missions in Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the Legendary difficulty level. This doesn't mean you have to complete the campaign in the exact order dictated by the storyline: you can get the final level first, for example, can do it solo, co-op, use whatever skull you want (the infinite ammo, too). You might want to skip the scarab skull as reports state this bugs waypoint and achievements.

WHAT YOU DON'T NEED

You don't need to play the Halo 3: ODST campaign, as it has been added a while after The Master Chief Collection has been released. Also, you won't need to complete missions in a playlist, beat par time and par score.

One important tip regards the profile you're using on Xbox One. If at a certain point you get the screen "the active profile has been signed out", especially after suspending the game, go immediately to the dashboard, hit the menu button on MCC and select quit to fully restart it. Otherwise, your progress won't be saved.

For Halo: Combat Evolved it is highly recommended to use the Bandanna skull, as well as in Halo 2, especially when it comes to infinite grenades to clear particularly crowded areas. Halo 3 and Halo 4 won't need any particular tip, as both are said to be the easiest campaign in the series.
