InFamous: Second Son is now out, and the Trophies available are a mixed bunch.
If you’ve played an InFamous game before you’ll already know what you need to unlock all the Trophies here – a lot of collectables and at least two playthroughs.
You may as well start the game on Expert difficulty (this may need changing in the Settings after starting a game, and then starting a New Game), since you’ll want to combine it with your 100% playthrough – where you’ll collect all the Shards for upgrades.
Your first playthrough InFamous: Second Son should focus on whether or not you’ll be a ‘Good’ Delsin or an ‘Evil’ Delsin. Make sure you only stick to one alignment for your moral choices and you’ll unlock the related Trophy after finishing the game.
At this point you may need to keep playing to reach the fifth level or the moral alignment – ‘True Hero’ for Good Delsin and ‘InFamous’ for Evil Delsin – and you may have a few extra things to mop up to completely clear the map of objectives and collectables.
You will now need to complete a second playthough of InFamous: Second Son, ensuring you switch the difficulty to Expert before doing so (if you haven’t already had this Trophy).
After that you’ll have collected almost all of the Trophies, but there are still a few InFamous: Second Son Trophies that can be a little trickier to unlock – we’ve created videos for each of these to highlight them in turn and how best to unlock them.
This Trophy can only be completed after finishing the game since there is only one tower you can actually climb that will give you the necessary 170meter drop required for this Trophy.
Here’s how:
Unlocking the Double Smoke Stack Attack Trophy can be pretty tricky since you need two closely located vents and at least one enemy to Comet Drop on.
We’ve found a good spot in our video below, but it does require having access to the DUP station in the area.
Alternatively, during the last mission you’ll deactivate a set of power cables around a tall building – unlocking access to a vent. This will force you to use a double Smoke Dash to climb the tower, so use it as an opportunity to easily grab this Trophy.

Once you’ve unlocked the Airwave ability in the Video skill tree you should have no problem unlocking this Trophy, which requires you to float for at least 45 seconds.
The Trophy won’t actually unlock until you hit the ground, so either set a clockwatch to count down 45 seconds or simply keep Airwaving until you touch the ground.
If you start from a tall enough building you’ll have no difficulty unlocking this Trophy.

The hardest part of unlocking the Cough Drop Trophy is just finding the right opportunity. You’ll need a group of at least three enemies and an area suitable for quickly initiating a Comet Drop on them.
We found this opportunity – a drug bust – along the waters edge, and has a low enough rooftop that you can easily corral the enemies together.
Upgrades for the Sulphur Bomb will help greatly here, both the radius of the bomb and the length of time the coughing lasts. With the right opportunity, however, it shouldn’t be too difficult to unlock.

Though it’s not actually that difficult to use three different powers to kill an enemy, what is hard is keeping track of the enemies in a fight while also looking for the different power sources.
We’ve found a good spot below – with the DUP station still active – since guards were always posted on this rooftop, and there aren’t too many to become confusing.
Using the two grenades for Smoke and Neon powers count towards the three powers used, and they do so little damage that these are your best options.
