Welcome to the Max Payne 3 walkthrough, where we’ll guide you through Max’s deadly new life in Sao Paulo. Moving from original developer Remedy to the worthy successor Rockstar, Max Payne is the third-person action-adventure title that invented bullet-time. Slowing down time isn’t just a gimmick, it’s the only way to survive in these extremely deadly games where a quick burst of automatic fire can instantly spell Max’s ultimate demise.
The former detective no long carries a huge selection of weapons, instead opting to pick up two at a time — either two handguns akimbo, or one two-handed gun and a handgun. Painkillers make their return, with upgraded bullet-time mechanics, but the optional cover system is all new to the bloody affair. You’ll need every skill to survive, and the gun-slingers at Game Front are ready to provide.

Chapter 1: Something Rotten in the Air
You begin the game as Max “settles” into his new life in a new apartment. You find out that Max works for a one Rodrigo Branco as he keeps an eye on him at a high end party. Pretty soon a gang arrives in the elevator and causes havoc.
They take Branco and Branco’s wife, Fabiana. The party is officially deemed over and you’re off to chase them.
As soon as you’re in control of Max, you’ll go through a tutorial. As the enemy appears in the hallway, press “R3” to activate bullet time, then aim for the head to take him out with “R2”. Next, hold the left analog to move forward, then press “R1” to perform a shoot dodge. Take out one of the two guys. As you’re falling to the ground, hold L2 to immediately target the third enemy, then take him out.
As you enter this extravagant room, use the tools that were just given to you to take care of the bad guys. If you take damage, by having the meter of Max fill up red, press “Up” on the d-pad to take a pain killer. No regenerating health here.
Before you head out to the balcony, pick up the ammo left behind as well as some painkillers on the coffee table. When you’re ready, head outside. You’ll see Branco’s wife being used as a human shield. Max will then slide down across a rooftop. It will trigger a slow motion sequence. Aim for the head of the captor, then watch the bullet fly as you hit the pool.
After rescuing Branco’s wife, you’re off to find out what happened to Branco. As you exit the elevator, you’ll be in the lobby. Take out the enemy here. You’ll see pillars up ahead. Press “square” to take cover. From here, you can peek out using the left analog stick and hold “L2” to aim. Kill the two enemies that appear. Watch out, they flank.
As you turn to the next set of double doors, what’s called “the last enemy” appears. From here, when you put the final round into him, you can hold “X” to slow down the bullet cam. Once it hits him, you can repeatedly press “R2” to fire rounds into his body as he goes down.
Move down to the parking garage, where a group of enemies will attack. Take cover on the pillars, then take them down using bullet time and shoot dodge. When they’re down for the count, go to the flashing panel by the garage door, then press “triangle” to open it.
Move into this next stretch of garage as you look for clues. In the corner of the this portion of the parking garage, by the yellow painted lines, there’s a golden gun part.
Move up the parking garage and examine the picture of Branco and his wife. Head up, then take cover. You’ll see more enemies up ahead. Take them out and the let the last one have it.
You’ll then see Branco being taken into a van. Before it gets away, time will slow down. Shoot the tires to stop it. Bad guys will emerge from the van. Slow time down and take them out. When they’re down, Branco will force himself out from the rear of the van, knocking you down. Two more enemies appear on the far side of the garage. Take them out as well.
You’ll see Max calm down Branco as the police arrive. It’s time to head home for some R and R.

Chapter 2: Nothing but the Second Best
The chapter starts as you escort Fabiana, her sister, Giovanna, and Branco’s brother, Marcelo, to a club, by way of helicopter. As the family has fun, Max drinks by the bar. Eventually, another attempt to take Fabiana occurs.
As chaos breaks loose again, Max grabs an enemy by the collar and pushes him out of the window to the dance floor. Time will slow down here. Take out the enemies on the stairs that lead to the entrance of the club.
As you head up to follow Fabiana, the double doors that lead outside are chained shut. Max knows that the guy who is heading the attack will have his men flank Max on the dance floor. Use bullet time here to take out the enemies. When you head up the stairs, back to the bar, take out the rest.
Head up the stairs to the balcony, where more enemies will be waiting for you. Take cover by the couches and put a bullet in each of them. Leave the balcony by going back inside. You’ll see people trying to escape as you get a call from your partner.
As you enter the next dance floor, more enemies will be up ahead. One will be by the DJ booth. Take cover here and shoot the enemies to build up your bullet time, then unleash it when you’re ready. There are a lot of enemies here, so take your time to weed them out.
You’ll enter a room with bathroom stalls. The middle one is green. Get close and talk to the ex-cop. As you exit, take the next clue, the torn piece of fabric. It has to be Fabiana’s.
Make your way through the kitchen locker room, then into the kitchen itself. Take out the enemies as they are talking. Before you leave the room, read the newspaper on the counter, then head into the next room with an Asian influence. You’ll see Fabiana ahead.
The room is circular, so you can dish out some bullets as you run and shoot dodge. Don’t forget to take out the guy in the middle. As you exit the restaurant, you’ll see an elevator going up with Fabiana.
In order to get to the roof quickly, Max decides to jump to a nearby window washer’s platform and ride it up. Unfortunately, the wire buckles and falls to the ground. As Max makes his way up, escaping death, a lone enemy appears. Max jumps to the yellow helicopter where his partner and Branco’s brother are.
As the helicopter circles around, you’ll see the bad guys take Fabiana inside a helicopter. Max will then be equipped with a rifle that has a laser sight. Take out the guys on the helipad. Fabiana’s sister will escape. From here, you’ll need to protect her as she runs along the rooftop. You’ll loop around various rooftops as well as a huge, red, neon sign.
Take aim especially of the enemies that get close to her. Eventually, she’ll escape and head inside the building. As the helicopter circles around again to the helipad, the enemies will come equipped with rocket launchers. As each rocket approaches, time will slow down, giving you a chance to shoot the rocket. This will happen twice.
Once the enemies are dead on the rooftop, Max will fall on the helipad. Follow the path Fabiana’s sister took. As you head down the stairs, take the painkillers in the cabinet, then head into the room for a gold gun part . Head out of the room, then kill the enemies on the rooftop, then head for the huge neon sign as you make your way across the metal scaffolding. Before you head to where Giovanna went, grab a golden gun part on the far end of the scaffolding as well.
Head up the stairs when you’re done, then take out the guys right before the door Giovanna entered. Head down the stairwell to find her necklace. As you follow the staircase, you’ll reach a courtyard. Giovanna will be hiding close by. She’ll run out as the helicopter arrives. It’s time for the next move.

Chapter 3: Just Another Day at the Office
While Marcelo and Giovanna are okay, Fabiana is gone. Branco decides to pay ransom money and who better to deliver it than Max and Passos. They deliver the money in the middle of a soccer field using the helicopter as their ride.
Of course the guys who take the money are armed to the teeth. As the money is being taken away, a sniper in the booth high above takes a shot. Max gets hit. You’re in control of Max here. Run toward the tunnel as the laser targets you. Passos will be calling to you.
As you head in, you’ll be walking slowly through the hallway and then the shower rooms as Passos moves ahead, looking for any danger. He’ll find some.
Eventually, Passos will lead you to the medical room to heal yourself up. After getting bandaged up, you’ll be given a gun as you see enemies head into mini soccer field. You’ll immediately take cover here. Put a bullet in each of them.
After taking care of the room, head for the elevator panel to access it. When you get off the elevator, you’ll enter a press conference room where an enemy is sitting on a chair. Passos will interrogate him. After giving him the bad cop vibe, a group of enemies will appear through the door by the podium. Take them out.
Now head out through the door the enemies came from, into the hallway. One enemy will pop out from one of the rooms, take this last guy out, then enter the room where he came out from, to grab a painkiller. Follow the hallway down to the double doors. It will lead to a stairwell that heads up.
After heading up the stairwell, you’ll see the enemies that took the duffel bag of cash, head through a room and pull down a garage door behind them. Unfortunately for one of them, the sniper is out there. Then, another enemy group takes out one of their stragglers. After Passos has had enough, you both decide to take out the well armed group.
When they’re dead, Passos will move ahead. Before moving ahead, however, run to the room behind you to grab a golden gun part . Now head to Passos. It will reveal that one of these groups has some serious gear on him. Passos will then say you both need to get the guys with the money first.
As you head out back into the line of the fire of the sniper, take cover on the walls to the right. You’ll see Passos enter some double doors ahead. When the sniper stops firing to reload, head through the doors as well.
Passos will stay inside the hallway. Stay with him and peek out. These guys have serious body armor, so the best way to get them is a shot to the dome. There will be enemies on the balcony, as well as on your level. Be patient and aim for the head.
Once they’re down, follow the hallway toward the double glass doors. Head up the ramp, then take out the lone enemy up ahead. This path will lead to the broadcast booth where the sniper is. Show him some up close love when you get in there.
Passos will then grab the sniper rifle and you’ll both see that the guy who took the duffel bag is being pursued by the other highly armed group. Max will jump down. Take them out ahead of you after you take cover. When they’re down, run behind you, down the stairs, where the seats are, to grab a golden gun part tucked away.
Now run toward the guy with the money. He’ll escape for now, so you’ll have to deal with a horde of armored enemies. You’ll be out in the open when they appear, so back up and take cover where you first took cover, right after Passos grabbed the sniper rifle. Wait for them to come for you and get headshots.
When most of the crew is down, run through the seats, then head right, up the stairs into the stadium. Two enemies will be at the top of the stairs. Kill them. Max will then head into a room where he describes it as a VIP lounge.
You’ll take cover by a pillar in the lounge. A slew of enemies will appear here, so use of your bullet time. Staying in cover will help tremendously. Let them come to you as well and aim for the head.
Move forward and stick to the left as you pass by the trophy case on the right. Grab the two painkillers on the left. As you follow the hallway down, the last guy in the group will reveal himself. Take him out, then enter the room where he came from to take the elevator.
When you head up, you’ll be immediately be attacked from enemies down the stairs along the row of seats. Keep note of these stairs. If you head down those stairs, then make a left you can grab a golden gun part .
After taking care of the enemies along these row of seats, Passos will notice a sniper. He will keep him busy as you head to where the sniper is. Before you head into the area with the sniper, grab two painkillers in the cabinet.
Take out the sniper and two enemies that appear here. Max is now in control of a sniper rifle. It’s a good thing too, since Passos will now be chased out by the enemies. Protect him as he runs for it. Passos will reach an area where you’ll see the guy who grabbed the money get killed. The money will now be taken away.
It’s now time for Max to take care of the sniper up above. You’ll begin in cover with the sniper on top. Two enemies will be by the rows of seats ahead. Take them out, then keep heading up. You’ll come across more enemies. Kill them, then head up the ladder.
Keep going up, using bullet time to give yourself the advantage. Jump the railing when you get to the top, to finally get the other pesky sniper. Shoot the sniper when you’re both on the ground. You and Passos will then escape using the helicopter, as you see two more players in this story, who have just spared your life.

Chapter 4: Anyone Can Buy Me a Drink
Welcome to a flashback sequence. This will be the time where Max and Passos got to know each other as you get harassed by a rich kid with a powerful father, named Tony. When things start looking bad, shoot Tony in the chest.
You’ll take cover in the bar as Passos accompanies you. Shoot the enemies that are holed up behind the pool table. Watch out for the shotgun guy above the pool table. When he’s taken care of, Passos will head toward the exit downstairs. Before you follow Passos, head upstairs and grab a golden gun part .
Head down the stairs. If you have a lot of bullet time, you can take out the group in the room quickly. Be sure to take cover afterward because more will come. You’ll need to exit, so head out after you’ve taken care of Tony’s help.
A crew will be waiting outside. Fortunately they don’t know you’re there and you’re in cover. Take them out by blowing up the cars. After the explosions, head down the alleyway that leads into the street.
You won’t make it to the street. A car pulls up full of goons. Passos will head up the fire escape to provide some cover for you. Take out the guys ahead. After taking out the gang, you’ll head to Max’s apartment, which is only a few blocks from the bar.
After a chat with Passos about starting new, Tony’s father enters the fray looking for blood. It’s time to escape. Run past the windows with the green laser sights cutting through as you take out enemies down the hallway.
Brewer will save your life and blow himself up later. Search his apartment for clues, his pipe bomb journal and newspaper clippings. Head toward the hallway where he blew himself up. Run through, avoiding gunfire, and head up the staircase to the rooftop.
Take out the first group of enemies after you head through the metal door, then turn around and head backward, still on the rooftop, to find a golden gun part . Move across the snow filled rooftop to kill some more enemies.
Max will then climb down a water tower, but one person in the group of enemies notices him. Then they all shoot at the supports. The tower will start to collapse. As it goes down, time will slow and you’ll have to take out all the enemies.
When they’re gone, you’ll climb up and meet Passos. Follow him across the rooftop toward a run down building. Kill the first group of enemies, then head up to take care of the next set. Passos says there’s a way down, but before you head to him, grab the painkiller by the lantern.
Max and Passos will head down to the chop shop by way of throwing a brick through the sky light. You’ll immediately take cover as you mow down a group of enemies. Take note of the gas canister on the wall.
After they’ve been taken care of, you’ll head into an area with a maze of fences. Watch out for flankers. Take cover and wait for them to come to you. The next scene dissolves into the next chapter.

Chapter 5: Alive If Not Exactly Well
Max and Passos will arrive on boat heading to an overgrown boat and shanty town. Max will spot a guard ahead on the second floor of a wooden shanty. Slip by to the left as you gain control, then hop over a small wall.
Follow the path down. It will lead to a warehouse. Shoot the lock off the door to enter. Navigate your way through the warehouse to the other end. Head for the door underneath the sign that says Gate 10.
As you enter, you’ll see one of the head guys, Serrano, arriving on a boat with two enemies loading merchandise on a truck. As the boat leaves, Max equips a suppressor. Take out the two guys on the truck. More will appear from the gate ahead of you. Take them out, then enter where they came from, Head inside into the building with the door slightly ajar.
As Max enters, he’ll see Fabiana on a security cam. Two enemies will then enter the room. Take them out from cover. More will arrive after the first wave. Once they’ve been dealt with, head through the double doors with the red outline.
Max will open open the garage doors and be met with three enemies. Take them out quickly, then take cover by the crate next to the path that winds left. Take out the enemy up above as well as the one on the ground.
Keep following the rain soaked dirt path as you move from cover to cover. Use the crates for cover as the path winds around. Take out all the enemies in the way. The final enemy will come from a black gate ahead. When he’s down, head into the next warehouse decorated by barred windows.
Unfortunately, Max just missed Fabiana as he sees the chair she was tied up in. Before you head out again, watch the TV and examine the camera. After getting those clues, head back outside, then turn left up the staircase. You’ll hear something being sawed.
Max will prop himself up on a boat above numerous unsuspecting enemies. If you wait a bit, they will spot you and the boat falls down. Max will shoot dodge in slow motion, so take as many out as you can. There’s also a gas canister on the bottom of the stairs that lead to the balcony in front of you, which you can utilize.
When all enemies are dead, head up the stairs to the balcony to collect a golden gun part . Now head into the small office downstairs, grab a painkiller, check out the picture, then press the flashing yellow button by the window to open the garage door.
As you head out, two enemies will dash through from the building ahead. Take them out, then clear the building. To move through the building, you’ll need to take the stairs up. It will lead down to the other side, where more enemies will be waiting for you outside.
Use the gas canisters on the forklifts to cause some damage, then use the crates and boxes for cover as you proceed forward around the dock. When all is clear, follow the dock along the water to the gate ahead with the red sign.
As you enter this part of the docks, head into the trailer on the right to grab some painkillers. Look for the shed to grab a golden gun part . Afterwards, head to the control panel inside the small building to activate the walkway. Don’t forget to grab the two painkillers in here as well.
Cross the walkway and follow the path through. You’ll see a lone enemy up ahead. Kill him, then watch out for the boat on the left. Take cover so it doesn’t tag you.
Keep moving forward along the path laid out, and use bullet time to take out as many enemies as you can. You’ll near a boat where a lot of enemies are holed up. Take cover by the boxes near the boat. Shoot the gas canister on the boat. Once they’re gone, head toward the boat and grab the painkillers by the front controls.
Now leave the boat, make a left, and head through the gate. More enemies will appear. The attacking boat will also make another appearance. Take out the two enemies quickly, then take cover as the boat passes by.
Keep following the path as you go from cover to cover. You’ll pass by a boat where more enemies are holed up. Take them out, then focus on the next building with a non-functioning control panel. Kill the two enemies here, then take the painkillers.
Head back out onto the small walkway across the water. You’ll see more enemies up ahead. The enemies will be coming from the left side, which is also the path you need to take. Take cover by the crates to the left of the walkway you just crossed. You can take out an enemy across the way from here too.
As you move along the U-shaped dock, the boat will pass by once again. Take cover, then keep heading along the path. You’ll see the “Petrol” sign up ahead. When all enemies are gone, head through the gate to the petrol station.
You’ll see Fabiana, but it’s too late. Her captors escape on a boat. The enemies will shoot the pumps behind you, causing an explosion, and you’ll land in the water in spectacular fashion. Passos will then pick you up and you’re now in boat chase mode after Fabiana.
Shoot the boats on your tail. Eventually, you’ll look ahead of you as enemies from the boat in front, will start throwing molotovs. Shoot the molotovs out of the air as well as any other enemies you see. Later you’ll need to shoot a grenade out of the air.
Keep shooting the enemies along the the sides of the boat as Passos tries to fix the engine. The boat will start up again. Shoot all the boats from behind and on the side. In one portion, you’ll need to shoot trucks along the road. You’ll eventually get close to Fabiana and you’ll shoot enemies as you move along the underbelly of a dock.
The boat will hit a ramp and you’ll be in bullet time. Kill as many enemies as you can on the boat that hold Fabiana. Unfortunately, it’s not enough and Fabiana slips through your fingers once again.

Chapter 6: A Dame, A Dork, and A Drunk
The action begins during your meeting with Branco. Armed guards enter the office building and it’s up to you to stop them by leading a tech head to the server room to lock down the office.
The first battle begins in the office building full of cubicles and, eventually, broken glass and flying papers. Take cover, aim for their heads, and watch them go down. Follow the techie to the elevator. You’ll need to take out more enemies on your way to the server room.
You’ll reach another office, this time, bigger than the last. The techie says the server room is just on the other side. You’ll have plenty of bullet time here to make quick work of the enemies, the same guys you fought at the stadium. Take them out by focusing on headshots. Max will then talk to the techie.
After a quick chat, more enemies will rappel from the ceiling. Take cover and take out as many as you can before your cover starts whittling away. You’ll need to move from cover to cover here as quickly as possible, with short bursts of bullet time. It can get quite hectic. And awesome.
When the troops are dead, head back to the techie. He’ll start working on the server and hopefully fix the situation. The metal walls come down and Max heads down to the atrium, which overlooks Branco’s office. He’ll have a chat with Branco. The metal walls come down along his office as well.
Move down the hallway. Enter the bathroom on the right to grab some painkillers and examine the photos along the wall. You’ll then enter the lobby after following the hallway. You’ll find the secretary shot in the head. Soon a vehicle will come careening through the front doors. Take out the driver and the car will swerve.
As it swerves, you’ll jump in slow motion as more enemies enter the building through the front door. Take them out shooting. You’ll end up in cover. Take out the enemies you didn’t take out during the bullet time sequence.
When that wave is dead another wave appears. A group of three bust through with one of them holding a gatling gun. Definitely aim for the head on this guy. It will take a moderate amount of shots since he’s wearing a helmet, but he’ll go down eventually. After the group is down, head for the elevator next to the now demolished vehicle to get to Branco’s office.
As you head up, the secretary says she can’t reach him. Max heads up the helipad entrance to reach his office. As Max enters the dark office, he finds that Branco is dead. Max then grabs some booze from the drawer and Fabiana’s picture. Unfortunately, Max finds a bomb strapped to the bottom of the desk. It explodes as Max climbs out from the balcony.
As he comes to, the entire place is on fire. Move forward inside the building and keep following the stairs up to the garage door. You’ll find that the techie didn’t survive and that one of the enemies was looking over his body. When you’re close to him, press “R2” to disarm him and take his gun. You’ll now have his gun, ready to take out the two guys who just entered the room.
After they’re gone, an explosion will occur. Move to the next set of double doors, then take out the three guys ahead. Keep pressing forward, then keep tapping “triangle” to push over the cabinet.
As you move through, you’ll be walking along some wooden planks with a fire pit directly below you. A smoky walkway will be waiting for you on the other side. As you put your weight on it, it will collapse.
You’ll see a para-military trooper alive up ahead. He’s lost his leg and Max wants answers. He says that they weren’t there to kill Branco, they were there to kill Max.

Chapter 7: A Hangover Sent Direct From Mother Nature
You’ll have a brand new look at the start of this chapter. Once you’re in control, follow the kid through the streets. He’ll lead you to a street party.
Max will be harassed by a group of three gang members. They’ll take his glasses and watch, plus shove him down into a slum. From here, you’ll have to walk your way out. Follow the creek as you pass by the shanties.
Follow the wooden staircase up to the next set of cement stairs by the kids playing soccer. You’ll meet a group of unfriendly people during a cut-scene. Keep moving forward and Max will notice a bar ahead. Before heading there, look to the open window on the left. You’ll find out that it’s the man you met at the dance club in the bathroom stall when Fabiana was captured. The ex-cop.
After chatting with him, head through the gate and follow the paved walkway to the bar, or what Max thought was a bar. In the strip club, you’ll meet a man named Wilson Da Silva who buys Max a drink. He’ll have a chat with you about Serrano, Neves and his pal with the torched face. He’ll also mention Victor Branco, give you a gun, and say that Fabiana is up the hill.
After Wilson leaves, trouble will start to brew as one of the locals gives Max trouble. Get ready for a bullet time sequence as you take out the guy and two of his pals, along with more that enter the club. Aim for their heads. Once they’re down, head into the bathroom to grab a golden gun part , then move from cover to cover through the hallway as you take out more enemies. Take a painkiller in the first sink you see.
Once you’re outside, head down the stairs. Max will climb over a short cement wall as two enemies follow you. They’ll leave, so move forward through the shanties. You’ll start walking along wooden planks and staircases. Before you get to the gate, you’ll be ambushed by enemies above. Take them out, then head into the gate. Immediately take cover as more enemies will be in this area.
Once they’ve been killed, move past the giant tree and up the stairs. Take cover as soon as you get to the top and aim for the path ahead of you. Put bullets in any enemies that come at you, along with the one on the balcony. Proceed forward when no one is breathing.
Move along the metal walkway, kill more enemies on the rooftops, then drop onto the dirt. Look for the mangled-looking staircase along the wall. That’s where you’ll need to go, after you’ve taken care of three more enemies. When they’re gone, take the stairs up, then take cover by the wall on the left. Shoot any enemies that dare to come at you.
Move along this alleyway until no enemies are left. Keep following the path. It will lead up to a gate. Move through the gate, then shoot the lock off the blue double doors to enter the building. Max will spot more enemies in the warehouse, but will let them know he’s there by knocking over a canister.
From here, Max shoots a chain, grabs it, thus triggering a bullet time event. As Max gets hoisted up, shoot as many enemies as you can before you reach the metal walkway above. Take out any you left behind, then follow the walkway as it turns downward. Keep moving to the room ahead as more enemies appear from across the warehouse.
Take cover by the window. There’s a red dot you can pick up here. It’s great for taking out baddies. There are also two painkillers you can grab in the room on the shelves behind you. When the enemies on the balcony across the way have been eliminated, more enemies will come through the blue door behind you, so be ready.
After they’ve been dealt with, you’ll need to head down the stairs. More enemies will appear on the balcony across from you. There will also be some below you. Take care of the ones below once you see them. As you reach the bottom of the warehouse, your goal is to make it up the next staircase where the now dead enemies were shooting.
Head up the staircase, then take cover by the tool bench. Shoot the enemies that crash through the doors, then grab the golden gun part behind the barrels. Head into the hallway, take out two more guys, grab the painkillers in the room to the right, then head out.
Move through the traincar, then the red, metal, double gates. Move through the town as you keep heading up. You’ll pass by a fluorescent light above a door as you head up stairs on the left. A enemy will deploy a flare. Shoot him, then shoot the guy heading down the wooden staircase.
Head up that wooden staircase. Take cover by the brick wall before you enter. Enemies will be hiding. You can spray some fire to get their attention. When they’re down, head inside, then move along the wooden scaffolding.
Before dropping down to the next area, watch out for the guy with the sawed-off shotgun on the left. It seems like for someone’s first time through, this guy will get you because there are some painkillers in the room he occupies just in case he gets a one shot kill on you.
Drop down to the next area, after that nice surprise, and examine a flyer of Giovanna on the ground. Head through the door decorated with graffiti. Take out the enemy ahead that kicks a table down, trying to provide himself cover, then take cover by the doorway on the left where two more enemies will be waiting.
Head through the blue wooden door that leads back outside. As you move down the stairs on the right, kill the enemy that busts through the door. There’s also another enemy that will do the same as you move forward.
Enter the next building, then immediately take cover. Kill the two enemies perched on the rooftops, then continue through the building. Burst through the slightly open door. Take cover along the wall. You’ll notice an enemy on the roof. You can let him shoot the flare or shoot him. In either case the troops will arrive barricaded inside the blue painted house.
Stay in cover and watch that bullet time meter go up as they fire on you. When it’s full, pick out your targets one by one. Drop down when the firing has stopped and three more grunts will pop out. Take them out. Enter the house. There might be an enemy inside so be careful. Before you leave the house, grab the painkillers on the table.
Follow the dirt path to the fenced door ahead next to a bright lantern. Max will peek through the window inside. One of the gentlemen will open the door, surprised to see Max. Clean up the house. When it’s clean, examine the drugs on the counter and take the painkillers by the candles.
As Max leaves the place, he finds fireworks and a lighter. He lights up the fireworks and drops down. As the fireworks scream, head up the stairs and through the metal door. It will lock behind you as a horde of enemies will fire upon you. Careful of the guys throwing the molotovs. You can shoot them out of the air.
As you’re in cover popping enemies in the head, take note of the stairs in front of you. That’s where you need to go. But before you head up, grab the golden gun part by the tree, then take cover by the stairs to take out a lone enemy ahead on a balcony.
Take no chances as you head up the stairs. Move from cover to cover, as there are a lot of enemies. When you make it to the other side, an RPG will be headed straight for you. Shoot it out of the sky, killing the one who launched it. Head up the stairs to the gate.
Max scopes the joint and sees Marcelo, Giovanna and Fabiana. Apparently they brought money for ransom. There are also a whole mess of enemies inside. Max steps in to try and save the day, but for one of them, the story is over.

Chapter 8: Ain’t No Reprievement Gonna Be Found Otherwise
In another flashback sequence, Passos leaves Max at the cemetery as Max overlooks Michelle and Rose’s tombstone in the snow. You’ll be interrupted by armed goons. Max will take cover and it’s up to you to take these guys out. Keep moving down the hill to reach Passos by taking cover and shooting any enemies you see.
As you leave, you’ll meet up with Passos. Take out the driver of the van looking to run both of you over. When you turn around a flood of enemies will pour down from the stairs. Take them out, then head up the stairs. Use the gravestones as cover as you take out more enemies.
When they’ve all been killed, Passos will head through the gate with you. Take the painkillers by the wooden cabinet by the gate. More goons will be waiting for you. You’ll see Passos take cover by the blue van, then take out a guy and run for it. As they’re distracted, take out as many guys as you can as you run to the van for cover.
Take out the remaining bad guys, then follow the road to the arched gate. A lone enemy will emerge. Take him out, then take cover by the gate. You’ll see more enemies ahead. Some of them hop through the window, so be careful because they will get close.
As their bodies lay on the ground, search to the left to grab a golden gun part , then head up the the stairs, past the fountain, toward the gate. You’ll see Passos with a gun held to his head as you make it through. Shoot the guy in the head, then take cover as more troops arrive on the circular battlefield.
When the enemies are gone, the night shift worker asks what’s going on. He won’t make it, as you find out there’s a sniper up top in the mausoleum. From here Passos will provide cover fire for you. As he shoots, move up to the next piece of cover until you get to the mausoleum. What complicates things, however, is that enemy troops will pour out from the mausoleum. Take these guys out quickly before the sniper focuses on you.
As you kill the last set of enemies, head left to the gate, but push up against the mausoleum. You should see the sniper above. Take him out for a slow motion kill. As you look for safety inside the mausoleum, you won’t find it. More enemies will be inside as they take you outside.
They lead you to Tony’s father who is carrying a shovel. As Tony’s father lets you dig a grave, he goes off somewhere to weep. Since you have the shovel, press “R2” to take out the guys around you. Now move forward and take cover at the top of the stairs. Kill the enemy heading up.
Head down the stairs, then follow the road down as you take out enemies. Turn left into the shed. There will be a golden gun part here, painkillers, as well as some much needed cover. When all the enemies in the vicinity are dead, head down the stairs to the morgue. How fitting.
Take cover by the walls as you enter. Kill the two enemies that get in your way, then enter the office on your right to grab some painkillers. Head out to where the cadavers are and take care of the last guy. Move to the double doors to exit.
Max and Passos will reach a church. You’ll hear more enemies saying they need to sweep everywhere. You’ll take cover by the podium. Take the painkillers while you’re at it. Take out the guys on the ground floor. The one up above, you’ll need to head up the stairs for. When he’s dead, grab his rifle, then protect Passos as a slew of enemies arrive. It’s time to find that phone.

Chapter 9: Here I Was Again, Halfway Down the World
In the aftermath, Max exits the building. All hell has broken loose outside as a helicopter hovers by numerous explosions. Head back down the stairs, then make a right to grab some ammo and some painkillers by the dead body, before you head out the gate.
Run up the hill into the apartment building. Grab the painkiller in the room, then exit the building either by using the balcony side or by going through the door next to the blood stained wall. Move down the stairs and drop onto the dirt. You’ll head out onto the street. You’ll see two enemies ahead, not even concerned about you. Take them out, then head out onto the street.
An explosion will occur knocking you down. Max will see a group of cops moving through the street. He’ll slip past. Move down the stairs passing by the execution on the left and helicopter on the right as you run further along. Max will spot Marcelo and Giovanna surrounded by cops below.
Keep moving down through the cozy interiors of the favela. You’ll reach a door and when you head through, you’ll see the rent-a-cops killing anyone on sight. As you regain control, take out the cop ahead of you by shooting him in the head, then take cover on top of the stairs to get a good view of who you need to kill.
There will be two groups of enemies on the bottom. The second group arrives after you’ve taken care of the first, so be patient and wait them out. When they’re gone, head down underneath the balcony where the white door is, to grab a golden gun part .
Keep moving through the streets. You’ll see a civilian try to escape, but to no avail. Take cover by the wall and you’ll see two cops approaching slowly. Take them both out. I used shoot dodge to do the job. Move through the streets once again and examine the body of the dead cop to your right, crumped on some stairs. Max will take note of “55”.
Follow the path ahead through the gate and inside a house, where you’ll scare a woman. Watch some TV on the table, grab some painkillers in the bathroom, then head outside. Head down the stairs through a brick-walled hallway and through another door. Take cover by the window. You’ll be fired upon by more cops.
Hop through the window after they’re dead, and head right. A helicopter will now be after you. Max will jump over a railing and start sliding down a rooftop. Take out the two guys in the helicopter. An RPG trooper will appear. Shoot the rocket in mid-air to take out the heli. Max will then fall down through the next rooftop.
Exit the building, then head down the stairs. You’ll see a man being harassed by the cops. Take them out, examine the body, grab the painkillers on the table, then head down the next set of stairs, to the next gate.
Before you head up the stairs after the cut-scene, grab a golden gun part in the foliage next to the stack of tires. Head up the stairs and Max will try to sneak by the cops. Move left as Max hangs on to the railing. On the other side he’ll spot two cops on a makeshift bridge. Take them out, then take out their buddies that roll in.
Move across the bridge, hang a left, and drop down. Take cover by the top of the stairs because a group of cops will start heading up. When they’ve been taken care of, move down the stairs as you follow the path to the next door, looking for a place to lie low.
Unfortunately, other people were thinking the same thing as they disarm you by knifepoint. They’ll be taken out, but you’ll be unarmed. Max decides to follow the convoy of cops, and decides to follow one man out of the litter.
Max will come upon Giovanna and Marcelo. After the Marcelo gets burned to death, you’ll be attacked. Press “L2” to block, then “R2” to disarm. Afterwards press “triangle” to kick, then “X” to strike. Max takes Giovanna away to the creek and will listen in on the conversation of the other player in the game. They both lay low for a while.

Chapter 10: It’s Drive or Shoot, Sister
Max starts off with Giovanna at a bus station as she uses the phone. After she’s done talking, they both head through a fence to a bus junkyard. Giovanna talks about her relationship with Passos as they take refuge inside a wrecked bus. As the scene plays on, a group of armed thugs will enter the vicinity. Take out the squad as you hear Giovanna screaming.
Immediately afterward she’ll start to panic as two enemies with laser sights home in on her. Take them out from their perch on the corner of a rooftop, then head to Giovanna by the gate. She’ll stay behind the dumpster as more enemies flood the area near a gas pump.
Take out the sniper on top of the gas station sign, then focus on the rest of the ground troops. You can shoot the pumps to set the baddies on fire if they get close. When they’ve been taken care of, head over to Giovanna.
She find a way up a ladder into the building. As this happens more thugs appear. When they both head inside, you’ll have company. Max will swing on a hook. Take out all the guys in bullet time. When they’ve been disposed of, Max will tell Giovanna to head to next room to see if she can find an exit as Max tells her to leave him behind for now.
Grab some guns from the downed enemies and a golden gun part in the room behind the forklift. When you’re done, push the button that opens the paint booth door. Head inside and through the blue, double doors. Max will see Giovanna on the other side.
More enemies will appear. After they’re dead, Giovanna will run from more enemies on the walkway above. The walkway will fall giving way to a slow motion sequence. Take out the guys pursuing Giovanna from above, then aim for the group below, on your level.
She find a button to lower some stairs, but check out the place first. Grab some painkillers in the room closest to the stairs that just dropped, as well as a golden gun part on a workbench next to a locked set of stairs. Follow Giovanna through the door.
More enemies will be waiting below. Take cover at the top of the stairs. When they’re down, head inside the bus in the middle of the room to grab a golden gun part, then head through the double doors where Giovanna is waiting.
Giovanna will enter the next building via window. She’ll open the door for you. She’ll hear more enemies up the stairs. Before you head up, head into the bathroom to grab some painkillers. The room ahead is an office building. Take cover in one of the cubicles after taking out two baddies, then wait for them to come to you.
Head through the office when they’re gone, then head down the stairs. Take out the lone enemy ahead, then grab the golden gun part in the next room. Press the switch to open the security doors as well. As they open, Giovanna runs out and a goon has her in his sights. This will trigger a bullet time sequence. Kill him before he kills her.
As you head outside, you’ll see more armed thugs. Max and Giovanna enter a bus and Max tasks her to drive the bus. As the bus starts moving, shoot the enemies along the way. Don’t forget to shoot the gas pumps for some fiery, explosive goodness. Along the way, shoot the RPG trooper. As Giovanna keeps driving, she’ll crash the bus through a wall and into a building.
After the crash, Max tells Giovanna to head up the building and meet Passos in the heli. Max stays behind taking cover at the rear of the bus. Shoot the grenade as it’s thrown, when the first wave of enemies arrive, then take out the rest of the army of thugs.
In the aftermath, Passos and Giovanna leave in the helicopter, but Wilson picks you up by car and mentions something about Passos.

Chapter 11: Suntan Oil, Stale Margaritas and Greed
In another flashback sequence, you’ll meet up with Max and Passos on their Panama job, which takes place on a party boat. You’ll also see Marcelo. Soon enough, Max heads below deck and passes out after drinking. When he wakes up, there’s trouble brewing.
As you take cover by the doorway there will be two enemies ahead. Take them out, then watch the rest of troops arrive. You’ll need to move from cover to cover inside the rooms as you move down the hallway to get a better shot. When all the enemies are dead, head to the second room on the right to check out Passos’ bed.
Move forward to the controls. Max will try to send out an SOS. He’ll see a trooper leave from the door he needs to enter. As Max enters that room, turn bullet time on and kill all the enemies here. An explosion will occur right after, sucking the oxygen out of the room. Turn the valves on the engines. There are glowing red sign above two of the engines. This will open the door ahead as well as give you some breathing room.
Take out the two enemies ahead, head for the exit, then check the blood stain. Turn around, then head up the stairs. Kill the three enemies ahead on the balcony, then head inside, grab some painkillers, and enter the door on the left next to the exercise bike.
Max comes upon more enemies trying to crack open, what looks to be a safe, hidden behind a wall. Pop out of cover, then take them down one by one. Examiner the newspaper on the circular table. Head through the door next to the safe, then through the bedroom into the hallway.
In the hallway, there are three rooms to the right. The third one closest to the exit contains three enemies and some painkillers. Once they’re taken out, head through the open door and up the stairs where the sun is shining. If you peek out a bit, you’ll see more enemies. Once they spot you, head back inside and take cover at the bottom of the stairs.
Once you have taken out two of them, climb the stairs, then turn around. Take cover, either left or right by another set of stairs. You’ll see the bar up ahead. As you move up, take cover by the bloody jacuzzi filled with bodies. When all enemies are dead, head inside the bar. Walk through the room to the television and grab some painkillers on a table as you exit the door on the left.
Take cover immediately by the railing. A ton of military will start shooting at you from the port above. It’s best to take these guys out before you proceed. Stay in cover and be patient. They’ll eventually go down. Move down the side of the boat, then enter the room with the piano. Across the way will be two painkillers.
Head outside, then up the winding stairs. If possible make sure your bullet time is full. Take out the guys on deck, then watch out for the ones ahead that close the garage door. They’ll also open it when you get close. Nice of those fellas to do so. Kill those guys, then the double doors ahead will open. Take care of the enemy that emerges, then take cover as you take out the rest of the guys in the room ahead.
Grab two painkillers on the right, next to the panel before you head up to the bridge. Max will see Marcelo and Passos, then run toward them taking about saving Daphne. Passos will go with him. They’ll enter the port. Take out the enemies in the tower above. There’s also a submachine gun in the truck to the left with a red dot scope as well as one bottle of painkillers.
Another group will emerge from the tower. Move up to the next truck to grab more ammo and painkillers. When the tower group is gone, head toward the tower for another helping of baddies. Head up the tower and take care of the second floor. Head out toward the wire and Max will grab on to an enemy as he slides down.
As you slide down, a bullet time sequence will begin. Take out the enemies ahead. Max will then immediately take cover. Kill the enemies in front of the building, then head to the door on the right, not the main entrance. Take out the two enemies that appear here. Grab the painkillers in the room as well.
Head out the door that leads to the lobby, then move behind the desk. Take the painkillers, then press the button to open the gate. As you head toward the stairs, kill the enemy that pops out. Now you can head up the stairs.
You’ll be met with more enemies up top. There will be no cover initially, so you’ll have to make due. Enter the room ahead with the glass displays as you take out baddies and shatter glass. Head toward the walkway, where another thug will be waiting. Take him out, then proceed.
Head up the stairs. Another enemy will be waiting as you approach. Kill him, then head to the hallway with a drinking fountain. You can grab more painkillers here. No wonder they gave you a lot. Continue up the stairs as you hear maniacal laughter.
Take out the enemy ahead down the long hallway past the top of the stairs. Take cover immediately on your left as there are two enemies waiting. When they’re gone, head through the jungle exhibit, then take out one last guy as you make a turn, continuing your path up. Max reaches the office, then heads out the door to see a massacre before his eyes.
You’ll be sent back to present time as you keep chatting with Wilson. He mentions you can do something for him at the hotel. Max then enters the basement of the hotel beginning the next chapter.

Chapter 12: The Great American Savior of the Poor
Max decides to equip a “suppressor” and explores the basement. Move through the hallways, then the laundry room. You’ll see enemies ahead putting body bags into a furnace. After the baddies have left, examine the gurney, then head through the double doors. Enter the fenced-in room on the left for some painkillers, then enter the next double door.
Max will take the elevator up. Head to the doorway and take cover. The two guys you saw putting body bags into the furnace will be ahead. Shoot dodge kill them along with two more of their pals. Grab the grenade launcher on the white table and the golden gun part in the bathroom. Head through the next sequence of rooms with the mighty grenade launcher and water bottle suppressor.
After the last guy is down, press the button on the wall to open the yellow gate. Immediately take cover. The next area splits into two paths with long range enemies at the end of each one. Move from cover to cover then let them have it after you get a clear shot.
Soon you’ll reach a pit where you need to drop down then climb up to the other side. Careful when you head up. More enemies will be there. Search the room to the right to examine photos, then head out to the hallway. Run to the room directly across from you as you pass the hallway. Enemies will be on the right.
Take them all out by shooting the gas canister behind them. It will also blast open the door. Before you head through the door, however, turn around, back down the hallway, to grab some painkillers on a shelf.
The door ahead will lead to some stairs going up. When you get to the top, move along the hallway. There’s a hole in the wall on the right. Grab a golden gun part , then follow the hallway. Max enters the next room and gathers evidence for Wilson. On the other side of the next door, Max enters a decrepit room containing locals in poor shape, including Serrano.
Max will then keep heading up, climbing an elevator shaft. When he gets to the top, he’ll have a good view of the pool with enemies clustered together. Grab the shotgun, then take them out. Afterward, hide behind the counter to take cover and grab a golden gun part . More enemies will emerge in the distance. Take them out as well, keeping an eye on your ammo.
Move past the pool and toward the tennis court. Kill the enemies that emerge along the way, then head toward the fence where you’ll need to take cover. A lot of enemies will be outside the building decorated by graffiti. Careful when you pop out to get those headshots.
As you whittle them away, head toward the inside of the building. When the last guy is gone, grab some painkillers by the counter on the left, then head to the green double doors ahead. You can also play the piano if you would like.
Max enters the next room and sees the plastic surgeon. Serrano then appears, pretty angry at what has taken place, and Max lets him do what he does best to the surgeon. In the next area, just walk through to the other side. Grab the golden gun part on the right side of the room behind a recliner, then head to the door right past the red pillar.
Max will find an arsenal in the next room full of guns and namely, C4. He starts planting them on the red pillars. When you’re in control, go back to the arsenal and grab the RPK. Plant C4 on the other two red pillars in the room. After planting the third one, a group of enemies will come down from the yellow gate. Use your new RPK.
Head through the yellow gate and up the wooden ramp. You’ll see lasers ahead. You’ll now have to contend with snipers and regular troopers in a building across from you. Luckily, you’ll grab a sniper rifle. Take out the snipers first, then the rest. There are also some painkillers right next to you.
Move through the yellow door behind you. Take out the first wave of enemies. When they’re dead, plant more C4 on the red pillars. Eventually another group will appear. Take them out, then plant the rest of the C4. Also, there’s a golden gun part in the room. If you pretend you’re heading back into the room again through the yellow gate, make a right and it will be in the corner on the balcony.
When you get to the rooftop, you’ll have a chat with Neves about organ donation. Max decides to blow the C4. As this happens, take out the enemies. There will be moments where your aim will be screwy because of the collapsing building. Keep moving forward through the gate ahead after you’ve taken out the enemies. Kill anyone in your way.
Head up the stairs, then make a right into a room with two painkillers. Then head back out, kill some more enemies as you approach the gate, then take cover so you can take out the enemies above. Mr. Gatling Gun will then make an appearance. Take cover, then aim for head until he’s down.
As the building starts to teeter, Max falls down and Neves will be pointing his gun at you. He’ll be taken out by, none other than Passos. You’ll escape in the helicopter just in time to see the building crumble.

Chapter 13: A Fat Bald Dude With a Bad Temper
As the chapter begins, Max sees Passos and Giovanna take off after saying their goodbyes. He then enters Wilson’s car. He has a plan to the end it all. Max then enters the police precinct and is immediately taken to an interrogation room. He’ll take out the two guards beating up on him and grab a gun.
Max will take cover by the door. Take out the three enemies ahead. Afterward, the barred gate will open. Before heading through the gate, search the room on the left for a pair of painkillers. A fight between the criminals and cops will begin.
Head through the gate and follow the tiled hallway. Kill the two enemies ahead pointing their guns at the prisoners. Head into the shower room on the right to grab a golden gun part .
Move ahead into the next area. There are three enemies here to take out. One of the prisons contains a painkiller. Use cover and carefully make your way through to the gate, then the door. You’ll enter a long office room where the criminals are being shotgunned by the cops. You’ll take cover by the pillar. Take out the shotgun toting cops as they quickly approach. Careful of the ones with helmets, they require more than one shot to the head.
Enter the room ahead next to the metal door with the flashing yellow light above it. Grab a painkiller, then push the button next to the window to open the door. As you head outside, you’ll see a thug pack a LAW. He’ll be taken out by an armored car.
Move from cover to cover when the gun atop the armored car stops firing, until you get to the LAW. It will be on the right side behind the cop car. Fire the LAW to take out the armored car, then wait for the cops to arrive. Take them out using headshots, then head inside the small parking garage.
Grab the golden gun part next to the dumpster on the left, then head toward the red, double doors. A civilian will run through. Take out the lone cop trying to take him out, then head up the staircase. When you reach the alley, take out the three cops ahead of you, then enter the double doors inside where you’ll enter a red striped hallway. It will lead to a locker room. Grab the painkillers in one of the lockers, then proceed to the exercise room.
Wait by the door. Take out the enemies in the room, then take cover by the pillar in the middle of the room as you wait for more to arrive. When they’re dead, head to the women’s bathroom to grab painkillers and the men’s bathroom to grab a golden gun part . Time to head through the red double doors.
As you enter the next room, there will be a shootout. Wait till it’s died down to make your move. There’s a kitchen on the left and an office on the right. The enemies will flank, so act accordingly. There’s a golden gun part in the cabinet where the kitchen is, and a note to examine in the office. When you’re done, head through the red, double doors.
In the next room, you’ll be in a lobby of sorts with a huge planter in the middle. Take cover by the pillar, then take out the two enemies. The office on the left, contains a golden gun part. The little break room on the right has a golden gun part as well as some painkillers. Now head to the control room next to the closed gate.
More troops will come by elevator. These guys are highly armored. Take them out, then head up the elevator where they came from. From here, move forward and watch out for the guy that pops out from behind the desk. Before you head into the double doors, check out the room next to the desk for some painkillers.
Enter the room, then take out the thugs in the office. Soon a heavily armored trooper appears with a helmet. He’s a bit tough, but as long as you aim for the head, you’re good. Now search the offices to grab a painkiller, as well as examiner files and a laptop. Head through the double doors where the armored enemy came out from.
You’ll be in a briefing room. Check out the slides on the projector before leaving. You’ll then enter a storeroom, where more enemies are waiting. Take cover by the shelves and wait for them to come to you. As you approach the barred gate, another trooper will arrive. Back up, then take him out as well. You can grab some ammo in the arsenal room before leaving.
Head through the now open gate. It will lead to a stairwell. Tear gas will be thrown. Shoot the vent opening on the wall, then head through. You’ll fall through the duct and surprise an enemy. Shoot him in the head as you scramble to get your gun. Head through the server room. Max will start rifling through CDs. He finds the recording from the Branco office incident learning who shot him. You can watch some TV before you leave the room.
Head through the glass doors by the green vending machine. Take cover and take out the enemies that crash through the windows in the forensics lab. Grab their guns if you need some ammo, then exit the room. You’ll meet the guy who shot Branco. He’ll leave quickly, but as Max follows, enemies will be across the building waiting to shoot him through the windows.
Max uses a cart and slides parallel to the window. In this awesome bullet time sequence, shoot the enemies on the balcony as you slide head left. When you reach the natural stopping point, take cover by the pillars and take out the rest.
Soon enough, the barred gate opens. Watch out for the enemy that enters. Enter the room, then take cover by the doorway, aiming down the next room. When the enemies are dead, grab the painkiller on the wall, then move through the next room. Grab what you can from the arsenal, then head to the control room to open the security doors.
The doors will lead you to a training room. Grab the painkillers before you head out. Take cover immediately and watch out for the enemy right on top of you, to your right in the tower, as you take out the ones in front. Keep moving through the training facility taking out bad guys as they come. Watch out for the one that pops out as you exit. Grab the painkillers before you leave.
You’ll now enter the shooting range with a horde of enemies in front. Take them out one by one. Also, like in the previous room, one lone enemy will emerge at the exit. Kill him. There’s also a golden gun part near the sandbags right where you first entered the room.
Move through to the utility room. Grab two painkillers next to the tangle of orange wires, then exit the room through the red door with the light above it. Max will try to sneak out into the next room, but will get spotted. He’ll take cover on the top floor next to a staircase that leads down.
Take out the two enemies heading up to your position, then head down to the stairs. As you head down, an enemy will pop up. Take him out, then take cover by the pillar, next to the elevators. Hole up here and aim down the room as you take out the enemies.
When they’re gone you’ll face the man who took down Branco. Take out the two guys on the ground first, then aim or the tiles above the boss. When they collapse, he’ll move positions and bring two more troopers. Take out the troopers, then continue to take the ceiling down above him. After the second time, you’ll have a clear shot at his head. Take the chance to put a bullet in him.
Max enters Becker’s office upstairs. He sees Becker and also Victor Branco, who pulls a gun on Max. They both escape. Damnit!

Chapter 14: One Card Left to Play
Max knows that rich people love to fly away when they’re escaping, so he heads for the airport. He runs through the terminal escaping the cops. He heads for the conveyor belt and rides it toward the twisted pathways of luggage.
Take cover when you can because you won’t last long riding the conveyor belt, but you can take out some enemies as you go. When the enemies on the ground are dead, head through the small room that has some stairs behind it to get to the second level. Take cover as you get on top to take out more bad guys.
After you’ve littered the walkway with their bodies, head to the control room. Enter the double doors, not the red ones, to grab a golden gun part. Now you can head through the other double doors, the blue ones. You’ll enter a hallway. Take out the enemies as you follow the path through. You can use the two rooms on the left side to gain angles. The second one contains a painkiller.
Before you exit the hallway, take the double doors on the right. It leads into a locker room. You’ll meet the ex-cop there. You can also grab a bottle of painkillers in one of the lockers. Afterward, exit the hallway. It will lead into the bathroom. Grab two more painkillers before you leave.
You’ll enter the terminal and take cover behind some luggage. It’s a straight shot down, so mow anyone down who comes at you. As you keep moving forward, enemies will appear on the balcony above. Take cover, then take them out.
When you enter the next section, take the escalator up on the right, then hang a left on the balcony. You’ll have a height advantage here, so make use of it. After the first wave is down, move ahead to trigger another group of enemies. They’ll emerge from the garage door. Go back to the balcony for some cover and wait till they come for you.
After the firefight, head to the garage door. Press the switch to open the gate. Move through the next area. Take out the three enemies, then make a left to grab a painkiller. There’s cover right next to the cabinet. Use it. Take out the enemies, then take the escalator down. Two more enemies will be waiting. Shoot them in the head.
At the bottom of the escalator. The lights will then go out. Kill the enemies in the dark. You can use the tram on the right for flanking purposes if you would like. When the enemies are dead, head to the control panel to turn the power back on. As it’s restored a wave of enemies appear. They’ll throw smoke grenades, so be careful if some decide to charge toward you. Take them out, grab the bottle of painkillers in the room, then enter the tram.
While Max thinks he can recharge a bit riding the tram, he’s sorely mistaken. Another tram running parallel houses a group of troopers. Put bullets in them as the trams are riding alongside each other. When they’re gone, the tram will exit the tunnel.
Troops from a helicopter above enter your tram. Perfect. Since the tram is essentially a long hallway, let them have it. When the troopers are dead, Max finds out that his tram he’s riding on is headed for a dead end. In a sick move, Max hops onto the train running parallel from him through the window. Take out the guys as you make it to the next train.
The train will stop. Leave the train and you’ll see Max sneak past enemies toward the Branco hangar. Max will make himself known. You’ll see Becker has a shield and tosses out grenades from his grenade launcher from time to time.
There will be a lot of enemies here. A lot. Stay in cover and take them all out. Always watch out for Becker. When you kill the last enemy, Max will jump toward Becker and he’ll toss a grenade. Shoot the grenade as he releases it. He’ll get blown back by the blast.
As Max talks it seems you have choice to kill him. If you let him finish talking, he won’t kill Becker. Afterward, Wilson drives in shouting about the plane. Max will pick up the grenade launcher. Take out the troops and vehicles as you and Wilson drive across the runway. Take out the jeeps and the helicopter. The armored vehicle will take multiple shots.
Max will then see the plane and directs Wilson to it. Two shots will take it out. Now watch the rest of the game play out. Congratulations! You’ve just beaten Max Payne 3! Relish in your victory and watch the sunset as you see Max walk off the beach. Stay tuned for the longest credits sequence ever.
