Maine Ave (Tutorial)
Character Creation / General Info
Omerta begins by having you create The Boss, your main character. Change the name if you like, and then choose a profile pic to represent your character. From there, you are taken to a number of screens with questions and a choice of answers. The answers you choose to each question will have a plus and minus effect to your main character’s Combat Attributes.

The main campaign starts with a tutorial mission in the Maine Ave. district, and ends in the Michigan Ave. district. As you finish the mission in a district, other districts will open up to you; it’s your choice which district to go to next. Therefore, the main walkthrough section starts in Maine Ave., and ends in Michigan Ave., with the other districts listed in alphabetical order.

Objective: Select your hideout.

Objective: Raid an independent Brewery.
Hiring Henchmen

Camera Controls
Objective: Use the mouse to move the camera.
Action and Movement Points
Objective: Try moving forward now.
Action Points (AP); Movement Points (MP).
End Turn
Objective: Press the End Turn button to end your turn.
Hotkey: Spacebar.
Enemies and Attacking
Objective: Attack the enemy.
Use cover by moving onto one of the green arrows within your MP range.
When planning your moves, look for large white dots along the path; these signal when the character is in direct line of sight (LOS) of an enemy, or when an enemy is in the character’s direct LOS.
Initiative
Monitor the Initiative Line at the top of the screen.
Rescue Squigs
Objective: Move over the wrench icon to rescue him.
Talents and Special Attacks
Learn the Talents and Special Attacks of each gangster and use them when needed.
Hit Points and Courage
Pay close attention to the Hit Points and Courage of each gangster during combat, yours and the enemies.
Aimed Attacks
Aimed Attacks help increase the chance to hit, but cost AP to use.
Safe and Sound

The Absecon Lighthouse works as a Smuggler through this mission, and will smuggle in Beer, Liquor, or Firearms to you, for a price.

Objective: Select a building with the house sign above it and use the “Rent” action to acquire a new Premises.
Establishing Businesses
Objective: Click on the Premises icon to select it and establish a Brewery.
Upgrading Businesses
Objective: Upgrade the Brewery.
Alcohol Distribution
Objective: Rent a Joint.
Use Informants to learn more about the district.
Speak Easy
Objective: Establish a Speakeasy (Joint).
Competition
Objective: Select the independent Speakeasy and use either the “Drive-by” or the “Buyout” action.
Expanding the Business
Objective: Upgrade your hideout to level 2.
The Pizzeria
Objective: Establish a “The Don” Pizzeria (Joint).
The Daredevil
Effect: Brigitte “Daredevil” Laval has been unlocked.
Both Feared and Liked
Objective: Establish a Soup Kitchen (Premises) to increase your Liked rating.

Objective: Locate and eliminate Louie’s “pests”. Look for the blue hotel with the eye sign above it.

Objective: Discover the micks’ hideout near Garden Pier.

Click on the Rival Gang Hideout building (with the eye sign above it) and Attack.

The Arena
Objective: Establish a Boxing Arena (Joint).
Triggers the Wager on the Fight exclamation mark. Clicking on it will start a boxing ring combat encounter, where you may select one of your gang members for a boxing match, and allow you to bet on the outcome.
Wait until Jan Koloff is available for hire, and use him for these matches.

A Gambling Heaven
Objective: Construct a new Casino, or purchase an existing one.
Click on a sign with a windowed-building and purchase the plot, then Build a Casino.
Click on a Casino (marked with the playing cards sign) and use the Gamble action. Once it has a Warm relation with you, and you have the funds, buy it.
The Colossus
Effect: Jan Koloff is available for hire.
Taking Over Garden Pier
Objective: All Casinos in the district should be owned by you.
