Landfall: Overview
Hints and Tips
The map is split between a confined interior structure and an open shipping yard area. For best results, switch between a shot gun or pistole while battling inside and a scoped or automatic rifle while battling outside.
Use the shipping containers surrounding the outside area as cover or drop from the tops of these containers to ambush enemies that pass by beneath you.
The map is also split between an upper level and a lower level. You can stay on the upper level for as long as possible to maintain an advantageous elevated firing position and jump down to the lower level when it is necessary to find cover quickly.
Due to all the tight corners within the interior section of the map, its advisable to make wide slow turns around each of them and have a high-powered close-range weapon equipped.
While traveling across the shipping yard outside, sprint repeatedly between cover points to make yourself a harder target to hit.
When engaging enemies in the outside area, equip a scoped automatic weapon. Use the scope to anticipate distantly positioned enemies laying in wait and use the automatic gunfire to momentarily pin them down in case you must retreat to cover.
Equip a scoped rifle inside the garage area and jump up onto the lifts or on the roof of the orange vehicle to target enemies that pass beneath you.
The narrow corridors and alleyways located on the exterior and interior sections of this map, increases your rate of success in hitting enemies with sticky grenades.
A shield is also a handy piece of equipment to have in this area, because it can be used to protect you from snipers on the outside or safely turn the corners on the inside.
You can also use the shipping containers on the outside to reach the surrounding ledges above, for means of attack or escape.
Landfall: Slayer
When traveling through the outside area, jump on top of or between the raised platforms and various shipping containers to eliminate enemies running by beneath you.
Post up with a scoped rifle on the platform at the base of the circular tower outside that stands in front of the harbor. It provides an advantageous elevated firing position and a clear view of the multiple entrances and exits leading into the area beneath you.
Another advantageous location is the room that faces the outside of the garage wall where the orange neon words are scrolling. There is cover inside this room that you can retreat behind momentarily to escape enemy gunfire and a wide window that provides ample perspective on the surrounding area.
When escaping from enemies in pursuit, quickly enter one of the winding interior hallways to duck behind the first corner in the corridor you reach and turn around to eliminate the approaching hostile with a powerful close-range weapon.
The most advantageous color of armor to possess on this map is grey, as it provides even the slightest amount of camouflage compared to the others.
The shield can be used effectively within the building’s corridors and also when transferring between cover points in the outside area.
Preferred weapons for exterior battles: Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Scoped Automatic Weapon.
Preferred weapons for interior battles: Shotgun, Pistol, Scoped Automatic Weapon.
Landfall: Additional Game Modes
Capture the Flag
When carrying the flag, avoid crossing through the outside area for as long as possible if you’re alone and use the narrow interior corners as a means of killing pursuers with melee strikes.
When pursuing an enemy with your flag, toss grenades after them if they are inside the building and jump to higher ground for a more advantageous firing position if they are crossing through the outside.
King of the Hill
When defending your territory, stand near an exiting corridor to escape from grenades thrown into the tight-quarters interior area quickly and return to eliminate your intended attacker.
When invading a territory, equip the rocket launcher if possible and fire it into the corners of the interior rooms from as far a distance as possible.
Regicide
When marked as the “king”, stay on the inside in a room with few exits to guard and allow your teammates to help you defend it.
When hunting the enemy “king”, try chasing them towards the outside where they are more exposed or toss grenades into the room they currently occupy.
Skyline: Overview
The size of this map encourages constant close-combat situations, so the necessary weapons for such encounters should be equipped at all times.
The map is split into an upper and lower level, allowing for ambushes that can occur by dropping down from the top story onto an enemy traveling along the ground floor.
There are multiple corners and obstacles that can be used effectively as means of escape, rather than facing-off to do battle each time with approaching enemies.
Camouflage and Hologram are the best abilities to possess in this small area, as they can cause enough momentary confusion for you to get the drop on enemies that pass through a room you are guarding or are currently in pursuit.
There are platforms and various other surface surrounding the open area at the center of the bottom floor so that you can jump on top of them to reach the second story.
There are also multiple extensions running across the open area on the top floor so that you can cross from one side to the other without dropping to the lower level.
Skyline: Slayer
The most effective weapons on this map are the Suppressor and the Storm Rifle.
Equip a scoped weapon when running around the second floor area to either pick off the enemies on the level below on the upper walkways across from you.
With so many tight corners and cover-point obstacles in this map, one of the best attack strategies to familiarize yourself with is sprinting towards enemies to execute melee strikes on the run.
The corners of the few enclosed rooms in this area are the only safe places to stand still for more accurate shooting. Posting up anywhere else on this map, is likely to result in you being flanked or surprised from behind.
When chasing opponents through open areas, decrease your speed to avoid being lured into traps around tight corners and try shooting the enemy from a safe distance as they continue to flee from you.
Due to the nature of the narrow corridors surrounding this map, regular grenades can used effectible when bounced off the walls of a hallway in the direction of a fleeing enemy.
The rocket launcher is most effective when its being fired from the upper level at enemies running by across the lower one.
Skyline: Additional Game Modes
Capture the Flag
When carrying the flag, stay on the upper levels for as long as possible to maintain minimum exposure and cross to the opposite side of the room more quickly by using the platform that span the gap in the central area. The wide variety of obstacles and narrow corridors on this map also make it ideal for doubling-back on pursuers to eliminate them with melee strikes.
When pursuing an enemy who has stolen your flag, stay on the upper levels to either fire down or across at them and try sniping them from a distance with a scoped rifle rather than continue the chase through various obstacles.
King of the Hill
When defending your territory, throw grenades down the hallways facing the area as soon as they show signs of enemy gunfire to either keep hostiles at bay or eliminate them altogether.
When invading an enemy’s territory, aim your sights into the area from a distance while staying behind cover or approach one of the room’s entrance’s, toss two grenades inside and retreat to the room’s other entrance as a means of surprise.
Regicide
When marked as the “king”, stick to the upper levels for as long as possible to avoid being exposed and stay near the central area in case you must escape by dropping down to the ground floor.
When hunting the “king”, stay on the upper level to fire down or across at then intended enemy and toss grenades after them if they escape into one of the surrounding corridors.
Monolith: Overview
This close-quarters map is laid out symmetrically, which allows for a greater line of sight from one end of the area to the other.
There is an enclosed tunnel running through the center of the map where players are able to acquire power weapons.
Look for the arched obstacles that sit low to the ground near the corners of the map. You can crawl through these as a means of escape or use it as a hiding spot to ambush opponents that pass by.
The preferable weapon of choice to equip for this map would be a Battle Rifle.
This map is ideal for sniping and mid-range combat, as it employs a number of elevated ramps and ledges that surround the entire area.
The tops of the platforms on either side of the map’s center are ideal for either elevated assaults or as a means of escape via the nearby boosters.
Monolith: Slayer
Toss grenades into either of the elevated boosters to eliminate enemies posted up on the opposite side of the map.
Camouflage will provide you with a few extra moments to track and kill several enemies, before you are inevitably discovered in this close-quarters arena.
To guarantee a longer kill-streak, post up with a scoped rifle near the surrounding rampways and towers to pick off enemies from a distance, rather than cross through the dangerous area in between them.
As each match starts, race towards the room at the center of this area where the power weapons are located and toss grenades inside of it to eliminate enemies who will inevitably head here first.
An easy way to gain a few quick kills is by equipping the rocket launcher and entering one of the second story boosters at either end of this area, then point the weapon down as you fly through the air and fire at the enemies running by below.
Rather than ducking behind cover or around a corner, it is perhaps more prudent to retreat to higher ground from enemy gunfire by jumping onto one of the surrounding platforms or ledges above you.
Look for the tunnel in the rock wall beside one of the booster ledges and jump into it. This spot in particular is ideal for sniping as the tunnel provides the maximum amount of cover and enemies that try occupying the booster towers can be flanked from the side.
Monolith: Additional Game Modes
Capture the Flag
When carrying the flag, use the boosters to travel across the area more quickly and safely or jump along the tops of the surrounding platforms to reach your destination.
When an enemy steals your flag, ascend to the top of one of the booster towers to locate him more quickly and either snipe him from a distance or run across the tops of the platforms to move in for a close-range kill.
King of the Hill
When defending your territory, leave one man inside the base to hold ownership and let another retreat to an elevated position that faces the territory and eliminate any approaching enemies.
When invading an enemy territory, use the boosters to check the hostile’s positioning in the area and rain down grenades or fire a rocket launcher to clear them out.
Regicide
When you are marked as the “king”, stay on the elevated ledges and platforms or enter the mountain tunnel beside the booster tower as it provides maximum cover with few entry points.
When hunting the “king”, locate him via an elevated position for a quick sniper kill or rush towards this enemy to chase him out into the open allow a teammate to score the easy kill.
