Before going inside the club, Bigby can take a look at the car and the blood on the ground. Don’t worry, Georgie isn’t going anywhere. I got all the information I could, then went inside.
In the hallway, you can choose to stand outside and listen to the conversation. Take a moment to hear what Vivian and Georgie say to each other instead of barging in. It seems Georgie was close to at least one of his employees.
Georgie isn’t just hurt… he’s on the verge of death. I choose to play it safe. As angry as Bigby is, he wants answers and everyone knows Crooked Man is behind everything. No need to get overly aggressive with his defeated foot soldiers.
Vivian tries to defend Georgie. She is embroiled in all this, so I ask why she’s protecting him. She’s got the ribbon too, she should hate him, right?
It turns out Faith and the other victims were planning to escape. Georgie admits it was Crooked Man giving the order to “take care” of the problem. Sounds pretty open-and-shut.
Keep pushing, and Georgie finally reveals why Vivian is involved. She was the original, through her ribbon the others were created to force discretion or death. Vivian went along with the plan openly.
The only way to free Nerissa is to remove Vivian’s ribbon. Georgie even offers it. Later, Georgie admits he wasn’t serious, but I choose not attempt it.
Not that it matters. Vivian is tired of being controlled – by Georgie, by Bigby, and Crooked Man. She pulls her own ribbon.
The spell is lifted, but that removes another witness to Crooked Man’s crimes. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Georgie is coming either. His guts are spilling out of the wound.
Georgie, in a last act, reveals that the Crooked Man retreated to an old foundry by the river. Now Bigby knows where to go, but that still leaves Georgie.
You can choose to kill him, or leave him to die a slow death. Whatever you choose, Bigby leaves for the Metalworks factory to confront his prey.
Episode 5
Face To Face
Outside the Metalworks plant, Bigby can take a look at the parked limo or go straight inside. The car is indication enough that Crooked Man is inside, and waiting.
Not shockingly, the door is locked. Mash the use key to snap the lock and get inside. It’s no problem for Bigby Wolf.
Move down the hall and follow the catwalks left after opening the interior door to the main factory floor.
Check out the torture rack and spy photos on the wall before entering the back office. Bloody Mary taunts from afar, so be prepared for a final confrontation.
Inside the smaller office at the end of the path, examine the work bench to see where Crooked Man has been manufacturing silver bullets.
Bloody Mary appears behind Bigby and taunts him to attack. Don’t choose the [Hit her] option just yet or you’ll miss a book entry.
She opens herself up to a punch later. This begins to big fight, so strap in because this one is going to take some time.
After missing his first punch, she’ll tackle Bigby to the ground. Dodge [Left] – don’t worry, if you miss, you’ll get another try. Try another punch, and she’ll disappear.
You’ll get a choice to search high or low. I chose to search high, but it only makes a cosmetic difference to the battle. Frighteningly, Bloody Mary shows her true form.
Try hitting her, but she proves too fast. Dodging every attempt and clinging to Bigby’s back. Mash the prompt until both of you fall to the floor below.
Bigby isn’t about to hold back now. He becomes even more like an animal, but Mary has something up her sleeve. She can multiply.
As they surround Wolf, pick your target and attack. Like before, you can survive multiple hits before failing, so just keep trying.
Eventually, the army of copies swarms Bigby, surrounding him and pinning him to the ground as they cut him to ribbons.
Mash the use key, and Bigby reveals one final transformation. This is his true form as the big bad wolf. Tear the Bloody Maries off and follow the prompts. The fight is turning and Bigby won’t give up just because of a few mis-timed QTEs.
Wipe the floor with the clones until Bigby gives one massive roar, shattering all but one.
As she dives, click the last Bloody Mary to end the battle and confront Crooked Man. He’s waiting in the office upstairs.
One quick transition later, Bigby gets dressed and breaks in. Crooked Man is waiting with a silver-loaded revolver.
Here, you can share a conversation with the crime boss, but it all boils down to one big decision. Bring him in or kill him here. It’s up to you. I chose to return to Snow with Crooked Man alive. Previously, I promised not to harm anyone else, and I mean to keep that promise.
If you do choose to kill him, you’ll instead bring Crooked Man’s body in and defend your actions in front of the crowd.
Episode 5
On Fairness
Whether you kill Crooked Man or bring him to the trial, everything Bigby has said or done will be called into question before the community. Everything changes drastically based on your decisions here, so speak carefully.
One side demands justice, while the other begs for mercy and transparency. Play to either side of the crowd, but don’t try to play to both. You’ll lose them fast, and if you’re not careful the Crooked Man can go free.
Because I brought Crooked Man in alive, Snow congratulates me while the crowd calls for punishment. Everything looks good now, but Crooked Man is known for his ability to turn everything around.
As Snow accuses Crooked Man of murder, he explains that Georgie was behind it. I choose to defend my position, stating that Crooked Man gave the order. I don’t try to hide what happened to Georgie either. He died from his wounds after the fight.
The crowd doesn’t want to hear it, but I allow Crooked Man to speak. First, he tries to argue that he had nothing to do with Georgie’s murders.
I speak up, explaining that Georgie felt like he had no say in the matter. Georgie was afraid he’d be on the chopping block if he didn’t follow Crooked Man’s orders.
He explains that he was more than helpful in his lair, and that his men only attacked out of loyalty. I counter that Crooked Man intimidates and threatens loyalty from everyone in town.
Eventually, the conversation shifts and Crooked Man defends himself using Auntie Greenleaf. Be thankful if you chose not to burn down her tree – otherwise she won’t help out Bigby or Snow.
Defend Snow and eventually the town will join her side against Crooked Man. Promise to do better and to fight the weakness that lead people into Crooked Man’s trap – but this isn’t over yet.
Crooked Man switches the narrative – if he’s responsible for Georgie, Miss Snow is responsible for Bigby’s actions. This is where all of your dirty laundry comes out to dry, so be prepared to go over everything you’ve done so far.
The plaintiff argues he was the only one to defend Fabletown from the fools in the Business Office… until Nerissa steps in to speak her piece.
Nerissa was one of the slaves kept silent by the purple ribbon around her neck. But, the spell is broken thanks to Vivian’s sacrifice. Crooked Man seems shocked that she can speak her mind, only making him look more guilty.
Snow and the crowd are sure of Crooked Man’s guilt after Nerissa explains she was around to hear the crime boss give the order to kill Faith and Lily. That’s enough for everyone, and after some discussion, the group agrees to give Wolf authority to choose the punishment.
Whatever you choose, Crooked Man won’t go quietly. Fight him off with the use key, then make your final choice – rip his head off, throw him down the well, or lock him up.
I chose to lock him up. Something about Nerissa’s story doesn’t add up, and there are still too many questions to make a judgement. Crooked Man is still evil, and reveals his true hatred for the community before taking his punishment. Whatever you pick, it’s too good for him.
Episode 5
The Life Of A Good-For-Nothing
Because I chose to imprison Crooked Man, Auntie Greenleaf stops by the next day to show her new crow in a cage. Flycatcher also checks in with the Sheriff to see if he’ll make a visit downstairs to see off fables leaving for the Farm, but Bigby wants to check the business office to see Snow.
Outside the long line outside the office, Snow steps out just long enough for a short conversation.
Select “Can we talk” to unlock another entry in the Book of Fables, but Snow is just too busy to speak right now. She hurries off to work, while Bigby goes downstairs to see off the leaving fables.
I wasn’t able to convince Snow, so Toad and his son are being shipped away to the Farm. There isn’t much I can say to Toad, but I try to calm his son down.
When Junior asks Bigby to bring a present to Snow, I agree before the pair leave. That only leaves one final person to talk to – Nerissa.
Nerissa explains why this all happened. She had a plan with Faith and Lily to escape, and they uncovered evidence on Crane’s involvement with Crooked Man.
So – Nerissa gave up Faith and Lily to Georgie. Not only that, but Nerissa took Faith’s head to the Woodlands building where it would be seen.
But, Nerissa’s story doesn’t add up. Georgie told her all about the crime, not Crooked Man like Nerissa claimed in the trial.
Nerissa has a lot of kind words about Bigby, but something still doesn’t sit right. As she leaves, Nerissa says “You aren’t as bad as everyone says you are.”
Just like Faith. Bigby had déjà vu from the first meeting with Nerissa – what does it all mean? Is Faith really alive and in disguise as Nerissa? Anyone can be glamored, including dead bodies. Was Crooked Man telling the truth all along, that he never ordered the murders? There’s no way to know for sure, because as Nerissa walks down the street corner the final episode ends.
