#5 The Genocide Gun - Earth Defense Force 2017

In Earth Defense Force 2017, the Ravegers that brought with them giant ants and spiders, robots, giant Godzilla type creatures and gunships to cause havoc on Earth needed an equivalent monstrous weapon to take care of these epic monstrosities. The developers provided players one of the most powerful weapons, The Genocide Gun, but you could only receive the said weapon after beating all 53 levels on inferno which for many was a daunting task. The Genocide Gun did 1,000,000 damage and had a 75.0m blast range, absolutely sweet. Earth Defense Force 2017, released back in 2007, was a third-person shooter developed by Sandlot for the Xbox 360.

#4 Giga Sword - 3D Dot Game Heroes

3D Dot Game Heroes - the maxed out Giga Sword is probably another one of those insane weapons, players can't even see the end of it and if you're standing in the middle of the screen it almost touches the sides, and you can swing it 270 degrees.

#3 The Chicken Gun - Ratchet and Clank

Ratchet and Clank is known for the most crazy and twisted weapons in its incredible arsenal of weapons so there's no surprise here that a Ratch and Clank weapon has made it to our Top 5 list. The Chicken gun which turned baddies into a chicken is probably the most hilarious weapons, but it was even more hilarious in multiplayer because players could actually peck at others.
Groovitron, again from the Ratchet and Clank series, is probably another one that is tied at the #3 spot with Chicken Gun.

#2 Land Shark Gun - Armed and Dangerous

Armed and Dangerous is known for its hilarious plot and humorous in-game dialogue, but if we had to choose something that stood out of the game, it has got to be the Land Shark Gun Land Shark Gun, which fires into the ground a rapidly-maturing infant. Land Shark, a creature that swims through the earth, seeking out and devouring enemies in the most epic fashion seen in any game.

#1 Cerebral Bore - Turok 2

Cerebral Bore in Turok 2 on N64 was probably the nastiest piece of alien technology seen in gaming. The Cerebral Bore fires a small projectile consisting of several small hook-like protrusions, a drill bit, and a powerful explosive charge. The weapon locks onto the brain-waves of potential targets and its shots spiral towards the victim's head, go deep into their skull (forcibly evicting blood and brain matter through a suction channel), and finally explode violently in a spectacular shower of gore.
